I already have 2 strong Steel pokemon with me: Honedege and Lairon. And there D-Onix who I going to evolve him to D-Steelix. I going to sell that pokemon to get a few important items: One of them is a Flamethower move to teach Rose, because since the battle against those Nuzleaf I see I lack in some ranged moves with her, along with a better no-self damage move than Ember of Flame Wheel. The other items would be Ice Beam to Gustav, Shadow Ball to Viktor, Blizzard to Mudkip, Stone Edge to Lairon, Ice Punch when Caesar evolve, along with others...its gonna be difficult to choose another one.
Keep in mind that some of those will probably need GM approval. Namely, all of them except Flamethrower on Rose because that's the only one that's actually listed in the book (because Chimchar can learn it via leveling, which automatically makes the TM compatible no matter what).
Viktor could also learn Shadow Claw via level, which is just as strong as Shadow Ball. Another thing to note: he could use Phantom Force to effectively teleport out of any kind of entrapment because the he will always physically strike his target from behind due to interdimensional shenanigans. The strike itself isn't ranged, but Viktor can use it to attack from any reasonable distance due to the strange nature of the move.
BTW, expect Nathan to ask how the encounters with Shieldon and Bastiodon went after the thing with Terra and Deoxys is addressed sufficiently (for now).
But Shadow Claw for itself doesnt have any extra effect like in the main. Its just a damage ghost move without any other effect. But Shadow Ball can actually reduce the defenses of the foe, with is WAY better than Shadow Claw. I can save some XP to teach other move for Trevenant, like Forest Curse.

Question about Focus Punch, @ Iron: the book says the user flinches if they 'get hit before releasing the attack'. However, what if they get hit by a damaging move, and then the damage roll does 0 damage? Would they still Flinch?
Edit: And thinking about it, would the same thing apply to Rage since Rage's +1 boost is also based off of taking damage? (though I think the book is a little clearer with Rage since it says 'if the pokemon receives damage'.)
For reference, I also think the recent discussion about how Flinching after running out of actions in the Round is a very good thing to have gotten out of the way, because it wouldn't have made sense if a Focus Puncher could have ignored that Flinch because their last action of the Round was charging Focus Punch. (Different topic, but this whole 2 action Focus Punch method reminds me of how the move works in the Mystery Dungeon games, tbh. Except the MD games removed the 'flinch' downside of Focus Punch because it's near impossible to avoid getting attacked if you're right next to your target. Ironically, it made the move go from 'incredibly bad' to 'incredibly overpowered', and there's really no in-between for it)

Shadow Claw does have an 'effect': it's a high crit move. That's all it does in the games, too, besides being one of the rare instances of a physical Ghost type attack. With Shadow Ball, you have a 1/6 chance of reducing the foe's Defense by 1. With Shadow Claw, you add 2 dice to your damage pool if you roll 4+ successes (3+ if you have Super Luck). I think SC is arguably better so long as you don't need Shadow Ball's range for anything specific, as buffing yourself tends to be a lot more effective than debuffing the enemy (unless said debuffs are potent and/or semi-permanent).

Figured it out the moment Iron revealed its feet to be golden, though I had a vague notion of what the lizard could be before hand. Congrats on getting them, btw!

I personally had to think for a little bit about which pokemon it could be, but it was the colors that finally gave it away, and Iron confirmed it in a PM I sent him (which was also where I reminded him about the museum visit). Not many pokemon fit the description of being yellow and brown with purple highlights while also being so rare that Nathan (and everyone else) is unfamiliar with the species.

Dragonstrike, I have to get offline for the night, as I have a bunch of work that needs to get completed tomorrow, as well as studying for a couple of Exams. Wish me luck!

Huh, so THIS is the dino that Jungore and Majungold are partially based off of...
Can't say the arms really have a striking resemblance, so I guess it's all in the shapes of the head, body, and horn?

I kinda already suspect it was a Jungore, but I haven't the chance in say something yet before.
Also @ Iron I have two questions: How much it would cost XP it would be necessary to Rose learn Assist? Its cost 200 XP or it cost less since it's a Egg of the monkey line? And according to my notes, pre-evo moves cost the normal price+10 XP. In this one move of her, Slack off would 59 in total correct since its cost 49
