The darkness doesn't appear to be your typical lost soul. Instead, it seems to be spreading from inside the car. If it were a lost soul, it would all have come out by now. Drifloon seems extra interested in it, though, almost as interested as if it WERE a lost soul. It must be something similar, but you don't think it's a soul at all.

While Spira doesn't want to desecrate the memorial, he does want get to the bottom of the darkness.

Mechanics: Spira will look for a way to get inside the car/memorial for an even closer look.

(Ah... I'll simply post something concerning both things simultaneously in one go, assuming that everything involving Medicham happens in a flashforward for the sake of pace and progress. Seperated by the respective color as usually, I've also edited this post of mine a bit to reflect that she joins with the others a little later.)

The Buneary leader is a little hesitant, then he bravely walks up to Shiva. He takes the Oran Berry and delivers it not into his mouth but to the smallest, most wounded Budew.

The Gourmet Food is shared between them all. They look happy even though dividing it among so many.

The Antidote they obviously don't understand, and they start wearily getting in line again.

Awwwww!~ Shiva remains quiet, calm and avoids hasty or rather any bigger movements at all as the adorable Buneary Leader comes up towards her, she smiles encouragingly and gives herself as soft, harmless and dear as a newly-born Spring Deerling: All to give the pack of Baby Pokemon an assurance that she does not mean any harm towards them.

It pleases her that aren't too shy or afraid and therefor deny the Gourmet Food, once they all ate up she carefully offers a handful of Dried Berries as a refill. "That's good, have no fear towards me..." It was an adorable view for her despite the sadness over an innocent young pack like this being in such a bad state.

Mentally, Shiva facepalms though - pity that she has already used up the single Pirsif Berry she traded in order to obtain some super-sweet Berry Juice from her shiny Shuckle. She can't allow herself to let the poisoned Buneary wander on like that however, so she slowly picks up the Antidote and softly speaks up to the Buneary Leader:" No no, please wait a moment... Thank you for having accepted my offered food and berry. *bit of a bow in a sitting position* Now, before you move on, would you let me heal the dwelling poison pestering one in your group with the medicine in this bottle? *shows the Antidote* I, ehm, always carry some of these with me as I am aware how NASTY poison can be. Please..."

She's rather hesitant to continue, as sad tone rings in her voice. "May I also ask what has happened to you lil' ones, are you traveling to the Park being at the end of this Route? Are you...interested in one of my own Pokemon-companion's help to reach your goal faster, maybe...?" *kind smile as she waits for a reaction and possible answer*

Shiva joins the group a little later. Medicham gives a wave, but before Shiva can wave back Gothitelle has appeared from her Pokeball. It all begins again: the two Psychics circling each other, exchanging suspicious glances, and then the handing over of a Deyo flower. Again, Gothitelle understands more from the gesture than her trainer. This time, Shiva is empathetic enough to understand something of what is going on. To Medicham, how a Pokemon responds to the Deyo flower tells him something important about the Pokemon's plans or alignment or something like that. Gothitelle and Gallade both seem to know a little too much about the Deyo flower for Medicham's taste - Shiva's best guess is that the Psychics might have counter-purposes to Medicham!

The psychic monk's behavior towards Nathan and Shiva served to ease his newfound worries/perplex feelings marginally, but Gothitelle forcibly introduction causing another round of that strange exchange served to magnify them to a whole new level. As for his own reaction to the Deyo Flowers (Which he failed to notice before), he grimaces at them in suspicion/fear for a moment, before his expression smooths out in mild discomfort/concern. Ven told them that Deyo Flowers were bad news, but he never said Pokemon actually carried them around.....

".......Medicham, what are you doing? Why are you.....doing things with Deyo Flowers? Why are you so....wary now? *Looks to everyone* .....What is.....going on?"

He says this in the most innocently befuddled tone you could imagine, which clashes rather strongly with how deep his voice is/how serious he usually is. How they react to that and Lapis intervention....well, we'll see shortly, I imagine?

In response to Terra, Nathan says, "...that's what I'd like to know, too.  If there's a problem here, I'd like to know what's going on and why."  *looks at Gallade, Medicham, and Gothitelle*  Nathan's more concerned about what the offering of the Deyo Flowers seems to mean rather than the flowers themselves.  Particularly since it concerns his best friend in some manner...

Lilith was already out of her painted Premier Ball and by Shiva's side for the simple reason of she enjoying the gothloli fortuneteller's presence as well as it having confirmed itself that she does know many important things.

This weird, curious, suspicious, interesting performance crowned by the handing of a dried Deyo Flower from Medi's side is observed by the natural fae enthusiast with much attention, it was an experience on it's own that gave her an ominous and.... yes, even uncomfortable feeling. Somehow, she both liked and disliked these meaningful interactions between Medicham, Gothy and Gallade.

But contrary to Terra's befuddled/innocent seriousness and Nathan's concerned scepticism aggressive curiosity she remained all calmly. Her gaze slowly wanders between Lilith and Gallade and Medi with a focus on Medi, eventually she turns towards Lilith but has a hard time to look away from Medi: Now, after these interactions, she has lost some of her former liking for this particular Medicham, it's replaced with wariness now. Still, Shiva does not loose the soft and respectful tone when speaking with Gothitelle. "Nathan, Terra... Please, stay calm. There is no need to defend ourselves...for now. Lilith, my dear, you are aware of my troubled liking of these precious and beautiful flowers for the sake of the plant itself and its meaning... Please excuse my interest in the interaction between you and Medicham. Yes, it DOES interest me for sake of it, but if you'd decide that it's none of my business I'll accept... Though, if you're fine with elucidating me, I'll be all ears."

She ccontinues. "What can be DONE WITH or MADE OUT OF these flowers is secondary to me. I don't doubt they can be useful though, good and bad, if one has the knowledge... *turns to Medicham with a now unreadable expression* "Noble Medicham, please forgive me if my assumption is false or offensive towards you, but... Could it be that you do you happen to HAVE such a knowledge? Where did you accquire it, WHO has thaught you...?"

Skeptical isn't quite the right word to describe Nathan's reaction to the Deyo exchange.

Nathan is curious.  Almost aggressively so.  Wary.  He does not doubt much about these interactions...

...mostly because he knows these flowers mean something significant to his best friend.  And it's something relating to MSC in some manner, as well...

He's been fine with not prodding Gallade for answers up until now.  It's hadn't been an issue besides Ventus's rather...aggressive reactions to the flowers and Gallade's reactions.

But now it's happening again, this time with a pokemon.  And if it's going to definitely be a problem that needs addressing, Nathan wants to know why.

Shiva's reaction didn't quite convey any information that helped answer that question.  So Nathan continues to silently, seriously stare at Gallade, Gothitelle, and Medicham, waiting to see and hear if his question will be answered...

Yep that's all I had for you. You have no trouble sneaking the item back to the group inside a Pokeball. And you still don't have any clues about what the item does.

BUT when you return to the group, the gem starts blinking when you get within a hundred feet of them. It blinks faster and faster, and eventually you triangulate in...on Nathan! The gem is blinking in response to Nathan.

Medicham immediately goes over to Gallade. Gallade senses hostility, and for a moment it looks like the two will fight. But when Terra introduces them, Medicham quickly leaps into the tree and peers down at Gallade more curiously. They seem to be passing emotions back and forth with each other. Both have their eyes narrowed. Then, strangely, Medicham plucks a dried Deyo flower from within his hat/head and hands it to Gallade. Gallade accepts it with a courteous bow, but his eyes are VERY narrow. The gesture apparently means something to these two Pokemon.

Hmmmmm...definitely not what I expected to happen...

And Nathan is definitely a lot more interested in this Medicham now, for good or ill.  Seems Gallade's meditations are also thouroughly interrupted at this point...

Nathan directs this question at both Gallade and Medicham.  "...and what's all that hostility for, hm?  Either one of you want to explain?"

Almost at the same moment, they spin away from each other so their backs are turned. They both make a "Hmmph!" noise. Gallade drops his Deyo flower on the ground, but Gothitelle has tucked hers away somewhere and is watching the two macho Pokemon with curiosity.

Throughout the next few minutes, Medicham, Gallade, and Gothitelle are all sneaking glances at each other constantly whenever they think the other one is not looking. They're still trying to ascertain some detail about the others.

Spira knocks out one of the granite panels. It stays intact, just dislocated from its frame, so it should be possible to restore it to its original condition. He crawls inside the car.

It looks like many of the possessions of the dead are in here. They are the source of the inky darkness: some clothes, a robot action figure, a backpack with three Potions inside. And also a single red Pokeball. This Pokeball has an iron band around the button, sealing it shut.

Buneary turns again, and brings forward the poisoned Pokemon. He holds her hand, assuring her it will be OK - though he doesn't know himself if it will.

When Shiva asks if they need companionship from a bigger Pokemon, Buneary firmly shakes his head, but all the other Pokemon in the caravan look like they think that is a bad decision on the part of their fearless leader! They chatter to themselves, and look at Shiva hopefully. No doubt they would benefit from a bigger, stronger Pokemon companion.

As for their destination, it is not Celebi Park. They point north of Mt. Sentry, where the Ruins lie. They gesture to a human height - they're seeking something or someone as tall or taller than Shiva.

Medicham shakes his head to Shiva's question. It's not about what the flowers can be made into. It's about their source!

Medicham and Gothitelle soon end up eye to eye, probing each other. Gothitelle turns to Shiva, and pantomimes opening up a hole in the sky in her prophetic manner. Nothing appears, it is just a gesture meant to show that Medicham is interested in her prophecies. She points to Gallade - he, too, has made prophecies. Medicham nods - this is indeed what he needs to know more about.
