You recognize that color scheme, the kind of pastel rainbow, as being similar to that on the Key Stones. It's definitely not a Key Stone though.

It definitely flashes faster as Nathan gets closer.


As for the sealed Pokeball, I wouldn't think Nathan has ever seen or heard of such a thing. Heart might have?

"...hmmm...that's...weird...you said you found this in the camp, Heart?"

Nathan's definitely picked the hexagonal rainbow gem up and is examining it more closely at this point.

"...it looks like a Key Stone, but it definitely isn't from what I know of them...at the same time, though, it looks like the kind of accessory you'd set a Key Stone in...so if it's not a Key Stone, then what is it?  And why is it flashing?  Hmmm..."

It's a weird feeling, but he almost feels like it's flashing in response to...him?  Nathan looks at Gallade and Heart (@Spiritmon) questioningly.

"...it looks like it can be worn based on these straps...should I try it on?  What do you two think?"

Ah well, can't know it all, I suppose.  If it's not a historical/traditional thing, then I guess that's out of Nathan's area of expertise.  Nathan shrugs and hands the sealed pokeball back to Spira.  And given Mika mentioned showing Heart as well, I presume Spira is getting Heart to examine it next?

Heart release Rose, just in case something might happen. When Nathan ask his opinion, he think for a second. "I guess you should be careful Warren. We don't know if that gem is indeed a Key Stone. In the worse scenario, the energy flow of Earthpower could tear appart your arm. Maybe even destroy your body if not careful. I can think in "N" things it might get wrong in that experiment. Also, you should ask Shiva, Terra and Spira their opinions too. Their thoughts is more important than mine and as much important as Gallade."

As for Spira mysterious pokeball...is Heart recognize something @Iron in his travels? He have visited many kinds of places, regions and some ruins so he might remember something in his travels.

Gothitelle smiles as you speak. It's obvious she and Gallade know more about the Deyo flowers than you do.

Medicham gives you a challenging glare, as if to say he'll come along just to keep an eye on these suspicious Psychic types! He turns to Terra to see his reaction.

Though he had just recently become an more enlightened individual, Terra still couldn't quite comprehend what the fuss was about between Medicham, Gallade, and maybe Gothitelle (its harder for him to get a bead on her feelings), other than the fact that it concerned those creepy Deyo Flowers in some capacity. This of course served to only bother and confuse him more, as there is hardly anything less than he likes than being out of his depth in any given situation, since he can't really do things , or only do them blindly. Lapis would have went over to comfort him and gently nudged him along the 'right' course of action, but since they were busy acting as a deterent to Gallade and Medicham fighting one another, he was on his own. Drat.

'Ugh......why are things with Medicham so........hard to understand now? Don't like that he's......wary of Gallade and Gothitelle, but it seems like.....he has good reason to be? Wanted him to be my partner before, but now.....ugh.....what do I do......?'

He didn't have much time to think about it, though, as it seemed like Shiva persuaded the mighty meditator to come along with him/the group, which caught him completely off guard as he was suddenly put on the spot! Oh boy. Normally, her help in getting him a partner would have been greatly appreciated, but the circumstances and fueds surrounding Medicham were anything but plain.

The rugged wanderer looked taken and moderately uncomfortable/stressed (Which is a rarity) as everyone/almost everyone stared at him expectively, before he let out a heavy *Siiiigh* and nodded , one of his hands reaching up to try and rubbed out a growing headache.

"......Okay. Medicham, you can come with me, if you want. But *Points at the psychic monk*. ....But I don't want you arguing or fighting with Gallade or Gothitelle. Can....watch them, can dislike them, but can't.....start anything bad or mean with them, unless they do so first. If they do cause.....probems, get me or their partners *Motions to Nathan/Shiva* to......handle it. *Looks them in the eyes* Understand?"

Suffice to say, this isn't how he expected his meeting with Medicham would turn out, nor is it much to his liking. Before, it was nice and simple. Now, there was so many things he just doesn't understand, yet still has to deal with. Ugh....

"...looks like the gem would be positioned over the chest, based on these straps...and considering you found it in that camp with these straps attached...it seems designed to be worn...suggesting somebody wore it long, long ago...I don't think it would cause any major harm...still don't know exactly what it might do, but..."

More examining.

"...it really is in remarkably good condition, all things considered...you wouldn't think it's around 1500 years old...these leather straps are in near perfect condition..."

I can wait for some more responses to Nathan's musings from Gallade and the rest of the group.  I'm not in a hurry.

For the record, Nathan and Gallade don't raise any objections to this, even though Gallade is still giving Medicham a narrow eyed, wary stare.  It'd be rather hypocritical if they did, no?

Nathan's not exactly a fan of how complex this situation seems to have become either. But, if he has to deal with it...so be it. He'll figure something out...and hopefully get an explanation about what exactly is going on eventually.

Terra's a bit too focused on Medicham/stressed out to be paying much attention to the Rainbow Relic Heart found or Spira's weird Pokeball, but he does eye them curiously (warily in the case of the sealed Ball, as something seemed.....off about it) a few times. If asked for his opinion on them, he'll just shrug and shake his head, indicating he has zero clue about them, other than the fact the RR looks pretty and the S.PB gives him the creeps.

However, when Nathan offers to test out the unknown relic and Heart voices his possible concerns about doing so, the sagely monk would step in and shake his head, before pointing at himself.

"No. Don't want you to risk yourself trying on......ancient blinking rainbow gem plate first. Let me do that. My body......much tougher than anyone else now. *Nods* Know how and can handle lots of Pain and Damage too. If I get hurt, Gallade or Gustav can heal me, I can use my own medicine, and we know not to use it anymore. If safe, anyone can try it on, if they want. *Looks at Heart first, then Nathan* Well?"

(Since this is Heart's/Spirit's Item, he ultimately decides what gets done about it, so what's your answer, mate?)

Heart think for a few seconds thinking what Terra said. Then he nod his head in agreement. "Actually, it's not a bad idea. Terra body was blessed too with the Wish Tag of steel. He can resist more damage than any of us. In the case this item have any side effects, Terra have a better chance to resist. Its worth a try."

Heart also thinks this is might something Terra want that because he is the guardian and protector of the team. As a warrior, see the people he protect get hurt make him feel bad. He still remember the face Terra make when he heard Heart was hit by Mew attack when everyone refuse to leave Terra behind.

"...my best guess is it's some kind of...enhancer of sorts.  Like a Mega Stone is for pokemon.  But this item is definitely for humans, whatever it does.  Probably worn by the more elite members of Sarimanok's army or something, and only usable by them.  True, it might have dangers and/or drawbacks...but unless it's worn by someone who can actually use it, I don't think it'll do anything.  Like how a Mega Stone only functions if a matching pokemon species holds it."

"...just don't break it, Terra...please...artifacts like that are incredibly rare and who knows how valuable."

The gem's sitting there on the ground now, slowly flashing since Nathan backed off...

...just waiting to be put on by someone who can use it.

Nathan's hypothesis of the Rainbow Relic being akin to a Mega Stone for humans manages to earn double raised eyebrows of fascination/curiosity from Terra, before he blinks , shakes his head to himself, and then nods back to them. 

"*Nods* Will be very careful with it, Nathan. If nothing bad happens, you can......test it next. *Beat, then shakes head* ....If Heart let you. This is his treasure to do with, not ours."

Based on what he's seen of it (RR) , the clever trainer was very likely onto something or perhaps entirely correct, but he still didn't want to risk them having first crack at testing the ancient contraption out. Better for him to test it out first and find out its safe/only works for Nathan, than to not and having the boy getting maimed or badly affected if it turned out to be dangerous or a nasty Monkey's Paw. With his now literally inhuman levels of Vitality and his years of roughing it in the wilds, if the R.R. ends up being harmful in some way, he could handle such things better than everyone else. 

Beyond that, it was his solemn duty to do all he could to protect and care for his friends, and he would do anything to uphold it. His own health and safety......they were worthy sacrifices for that cause.

Raphael heads out, comes back, heads out again. He conveys to Shiva that he dropped them off some distance from the Skull Ruins, and professes relief that they didn't head directly for the Ruins themselves. They seemed to be searching for someone, according to his pantomime.

Gothitelle smiles as you speak. It's obvious she and Gallade know more about the Deyo flowers than you do.

With silent nervosity but also trust in Raphael himself Shiva awaits until the benelovent archangle has fulfilled his given task, she herself spends the waiting time with..... simple waiting. She's a bit too worried over this going well or not to allow herself to drift off into daydreams.


The joy and relief were almost tangible as he returned all safely and let her know that all was well, and received a boost when he added that the pack of Baby Pokemon didn't went for the Ruins themselves: At this point, she envelops Raphael in a dear and thankful embrace, practically burying her face into his soft feathercoat. "Thank you, Raphael... You did very well, I'm proud of you and I bet Ventus would be too if he'd know... Ahhh, I... I wish I could even MORE for them, to reunite them with the person they're searching for..." Her expression becomes sad for a moment before lighting up again. "But, we at least were able to help them in SOME way. Let us...get back to the others then, shall we? Ah, yes, sure you can stay out. ^^ "

That should end my Encounter unless you have anything more to add, @Iron. That was fun even if there's no reward or such, most important was that Shiva could help these Baby Pokemon!

Medicham's challenging glare is returned by Shiva with one that almost screams 'Challenge accepted!' but with a sly smile. She seems to not mind him keeping an eye on them... She even seems to like that Medi a bit. Fufu.

She hasn't anything to add or say concerning this flashing Rainbow Gem, just watches things from a respectful distance at her discretion. What has arisen her curiosity a tad bit more and almost crept her out, was that tightly sealed Ball Spira brought along from the gravesite. She's silently curious whether Heart has heard about something like that.
