[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Synthetic/Lab Meat has actually been confirmed to exist earlier, as Heart purchased some awhile back to make sandwiches for pinics/other food stuffs. Not going to provide a post since it happened all the way back in Stair City before our first trip to Cress, but it does exist!

On the subject of eating meat, Terra neutral on the issue. He doesn't like killing Wild Pokemon unless there's a good reason for it, as he feels that is a waste of its life and intrisic value, but if he's low on food or hunting for his carnivorous Pokemon he'll slay and butcher them. He's mostly vegitarian, but he'll eat fish and fish Pokemon except for Magikarp and Feebas (The later because he owns Lapis, and the former because it reminds him of the later).

Well, when you guys put that way, it would not be strange in the pokemon world have such things. I now remember Heart buying some lab meat back in Stair City.

Also, any of you guys think we gonna have to save that gentleman from the Scimitars? If we destroy the Scimitars in the past, the ones in our time will never exist.

If we do that, we create a paradox.  What's happened has happened, and there's nothing we can do to change that even if it involved us in the past.

Fact of the matter is that the Scimitars and Almabac exist in 2017, so there's nothing we can do to erase their organizations from existence in the past.

True. You right. I just hope the gentleman is still alive.

If he's who I think he might be, then he's probably fine.

Semi-random topic of the day: So, I picked up my preorder of Let's Go Eevee today, and I decided to look up exactly what the new moves exclusive to the two starter pokemon of these games do exactly (courtesy of Serebii listing them all out)...

Huh, how about that. My thoughts on Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee has already been expressed (I'm not interest in them), but I still find it rather intriguing they decided to shaft their series mascot in this case over the adorably genetically unstable furball. Considering how much exclusive stuff Pikachu already has gotten over the years, though, I don't think its too bad they didn't get anything particularly neat Movewise (Besides its Water Type Move). Plus, move TLC on Eevee is not a bad thing to me!

It feels to me like Partner Pikachu's moveset was supposed to be both more offensively geared and a shoutout to Surf, Fly, and E-Speed Pikachu events.

Partner Eevee's...I think they were trying to make it a support pokemon?  Except they also made it almost unparalleled in terms of raw type coverage because of how many different types of moves it can use (only Mew's moveset is comparable/better coverage wise in LGPE).

In any case, though, the game was designed to be casual over competitive, so I'm not going to overthink this too much for now and try to just enjoy the game.  (even though there definitely are elements present in the game for those who wish to be the very best in the rather weird no hold items, no abilities, pick your mega Charizard/Mewtwo on the fly, around 500 moves missing entirely meta)

...The names of these exclusive moves hurt my eyes and ears. They sound so childish and ridiculous to me, I'm very sorry GameFreak, but why?! No, I dislike and boycott these two games and am pretty much through with playing any new Official Games. :C I'll stick with good ROMHacks and FanGames for now, especially now that I've started to help with concept art in two projects.

Honestly, I can't say the game isn't aimed at a younger audience, because that's exactly who the target audience is.  The game has a heavy emphasis that it's an adventure with your starter pokemon, whose entire gimmick is being a cutesy yet surprisingly strong member of their species.  The game even says on the back of the box that it's a great starting point for newer players.

That being said, however, I find LGPE to be very relaxing to play because they're intended to be casual.  I went into it with casual expectations and got exactly what I was expecting...then found out there are definitely still some more hardcore mechanics for the more dedicated players.

Is it a game for everyone?  Yes and no.  Yes because most anyone who wants to play it doesn't have to worry about getting lost in a sea of complex mechanics unless they seek those out themselves, no because it's not gone in a direction similar to the rest of the series.

I'm not going to say this game is a must have.  I am going to say it's still good despite its flaws and differences, though.  It's my opinion, take it with a grain of salt, but that's where I stand with it.  I'm hopeful that Gen 8 turns out all the better because of what was learned from making LGPE.
