You can send a text if you allow your cell phone to run an "update" to sync to 2014. The Pokedex works with the same kind of SIM card that lets a cell phone connect, so it will work too. Sending data in 2014 is a lot slower than you'd be used to in 2017, but voice and text is fine.

As a son from a merchant family, Terra couldn't help but nod to himself at the Scimitar's explantion of Almanac's rationale and plans, as from a purely business and financial perspective they were doing the right and smart thing backing the Water Scimitars. Didn't make their research methods, past decisions, and their business practices/association any less than highly morally dubious and scummy, but at the very least the mega corporation has a reason for doing those things besides for the SCIENCE or lulz.

It is not still not good or right for you Scimitars to use your.....abilities and tools that way. Or......take a Pokemon's powers and keep them asleep and locked away. Even though he's still quite upset and displeased with the weakly wizard, Terra will give credit where its due. He's not going to be blindly angry or condemning of people if he thinks they present a good enough point, even if by all rights they deserve such treatment. In line with that, when the Scimitar made their offer, he mulled it over for a moment.....before he slowly nodded his head.

"Hm.....yes. We can agree to disagree. Me and my group will stop you Scimitars if you do bad, and will rescue Thrawn and everyone else. ....But can see you all are trying to do right thing, like us. Even if you do it in wrong and bad ways for.....not good enough reasons. Maybe I am.....naive, but that is not a bad thing if it means doing things right and good. Rather be a good dumb fool than not. "

".....Earth Scimitars? Did not mention them before. .....Tell me  about them. Goals, philosophy, who they work with, who leads them.......everything you can. Understood?"

Noticably, Terra requests information from the mage this time, as opposed to outright trying to Intimidate it out of him. At the very least this meant that the mountain of a man has calmed down to the point he isn't trying to scare them half to death, so that must be a relief to the 'poor' man!

Regarding the Pokedex, Terra will run the 'update' if he thinks it wouldn't brick it back in the present, and then send that text message to Nathan/Heart. Simple as that!

She has Nurse Joy take a picture and staple it to a receipt she writes out. The crystal works while Officer Jenny holds it - still blinking one color more as it approaches Nathan, and another color as it goes west. 


"I won't break it. Where can I reach you to return it? Or do you want me to drop it off somewhere?"

"I'll hang around here for a bit.  If I'm not here for some reason, I'd probably recommend leaving it somewhere secure at the station.  There's some urgent business I might have to attend to soon that could take me a good, long while to complete, but I'll swing by to pick up the crystal at the soonest opportunity, and I'll have the receipt ready as proof.  Getting attacked just because I was talking with a P.I. who was questioning me wasn't exactly a pleasant distraction from what I was going to be doing today."

It would be so, so much easier if the group didn't get lurched away before Nathan could pick up the crystal...but hopefully that's good enough insurance that Nathan will be able to get it back even if they do get lurched to another time. Definitely adding that receipt to Nathan's inventory, because I'd hate to lose that crystal before we even know what it truly does.

"Follow the lilac side.  And if you come to blows with those people, try using attacks effective against Psychic types.  Gallade's Confusion seemed to be resisted by them earlier in the battle, but most every other type of attack we used against them wasn't, and they also used a lot of tricks similar to moves like Teleport and Reflect.  Also heard their leader mention Ally Switch, which seemed to be related to what they used on the kidnapped trainers' pokemon to get them to attack us instead of our assailants."

When you touch the unclipped spheres, they become semitransparent, revealing a sleeping Pokemon inside: Alakazam, Starmie, Hypno, Natu, and Baltoy, and Duosion. The Scimitar Terra is interrogating says a special PC attachment is required to release the Pokemon and wake them up, unless you are a higher ranking Scimitar. Only the burned Scimitar has Pokeballs keyed to release his identical team on command.

The burnt Scimitar is unconscious as far as I know (correct me please if I'm wrong) and I'm out of means to heal a fainted target. If Terra/@Lord Windos or Spira/@Mikaruge108 have some and would be willing to spare one we could tie that burnt Scim up to prevent any tricks and then force him to release at least his team of Psychic Type Pokemon.

If not, icy-cold Shiva makes a return and threathens the already speaking Scim enough to least make him tell her what's with these Psychic Types, how they're doing, whether they're in a normal sleep or deliberately put into a coma or anything, and whether the Pokemon are theirs or taken with force. Her will to set them free from the Scimitars is strong - unless they wish to stay with them themselves.

Terra probably has some duck tack or simple rope as sundry items on him, so he's willing to restrain all the unconscious Scimitars after he's done interrogating the one that had the bad luck of being the only one awake.

"Our energy sources are fine. They're in an enchanted sleep which helps preserve them from harm. They're partially aware of their surroundings, a little like a normal capture net or being stored in the PC, but less aware than that. Um. Most of our Pokemon were given to us by the Scimitar organization, so they're ours. Or our organization's at least. To release them from the crystals you'll need the keystone at the Scimitar base. That's to keep them safe from meddlers like you."

Terra gives the weakly wizard a piercing Look at their suggestion, before he motioned to Tommy (Who's been minding his own business by rumming around in the pile of Scimitar goodies looking for shiny objects to play with) for them to go over and release the man. Not before he said this, though:

"We will unbind your hands to do that, but if you try anything not good......"

He trails off, but Angie neatly finishes his sentence with a menacing *Sssssszzzzk.....* , and the message was clear: Do something funny, and you'll have to deal with the titanic angelic dragon.

Now they play the waiting game, and hope the police can track down Juni and bring her to justice...

Heart give his number to the officer.

After the officer go ahead with the crystal Heart ask Nathan. "You think it was a good idea let her carry the crystal? I fear the Scimitars may try to get the crystal or something. But then again, both you and her have a point. As much we were strong, we only civilians. Guess we gonna wait here in the Pokemon Center. I just hope we do not get some sort of lurch again. I dont want to be lost though Time and Space again."

"Ok." Geordie rummages around in Simon's pockets and clothes, and comes out with little pincer-shaped thing. It clips into a gap in Baltoy's Pokeball and with a twist, the sphere comes into two connected pieces and a familiar flash of light reveals a sleepy Baltoy.

"Yay, Baltoy. You happy? Can I go now?"

A personal question, but its not entirely irrelevant, given the direction the 'conversation' has taken.

Shiva just STARES at him for a long minute with her arms tightly closed, her expression as harsh and stoic like a brick wall and her gaze as icy-cold as her Primal Glaceon's Icy Wind and Alolan Vulpix's Ice Shard combined. The former inhales and let out a small cloud of chill breath to emphasize that Geordie should BETTER NOT try any tricks now while Shiva will free his frozen or tied hands with the help of Delphox's burning wand, and only the hands, as otherwise he'll be frozen solid within a second again. However, he has to absolutely not fear any slaps or punches or any hits from her for no reason, he just mustn't give Shiva these reasons.

The eternal tundra that marks Shiva's attitude sees some sunshine, life awakes, the gears start to grint again as Geordie mentions that these noble Pokemon are fine and safe in these spheres, Shiva's can't help but to musters these sleeping Pokemon with lots of interest and a great amount of compassion. She can almost feel their psychic energy pulsating when touching these spheres - these poor ones, yet they're safe in there? That's not too bad actually.

Shiva's voice is thawing also and in unison with her Primal Glaceon calms down as well, the softness returns in tiny tiny baby steps by the smallest hatched Pokemon. She even sounds a bit timid or embarrassed as she whispers a "Please don't call me a...'meddler'. That's not very kind." She coughs once and continues. "In that case, if these Pokemon are yours, you don't have to fear me taking them from you. Keep them - especially if they're safe in there and NOT FORCED to lend you their powers. Just let me...check on them, alright? Release the Alakazam please. I own one myself. Raised it myself. I'd like to see how it's doing."

Also: "And where does THE ORGANISATION get the Pokemon from, Geordie?"

It's the Alakazam Shiva wishes to meet and see, not the Baltoy - can she with her incredible Insight and her fully-grown Psychic Types currently on hand (Lilith and Delphox) confirm that all's fine with the Pokemon within the spheres? If it helps that Helios is with Shiva, she'll swap him into her team via the PTC. Shiva's not comfortable to leave the Pokemon with them until she knows for sure that they're doing fine while being with these Scimitars.
