".....Why did you choose to become a Scimitar? Know that you do....what you do and why, but do not know your own reasons."

A personal question, but its not entirely irrelevant, given the direction the 'conversation' has taken.

Tommy Taunts the Baltoy as it comes out. Good idea. Geordie looks a little sad about that idea.

"Sometimes they work together. Not on this artifact thing. Actually, never have I worked with an Earth Scimitar, personally. I don't know where any other bases are - there aren't very many, I don't think. None outside of Creshire."

"I became a Scimitar for my Alakazam, actually. I traded him as a Kadabra for a Graveler. The other trainer knew less than I realized about commanding Pokemon's respect. It's a sad tale...the new Alakazam was harmed in battle with my new Golem because of terrible orders on the part of my so-called friend. So I knocked him out and stole MY Alakazam back. The Scimitars helped me a lot, offering me the chance to never need to send out Alakazam in battle again, and putting him in the magic crystal spheres instead of a League Pokeball that wouldn't register him as mine. I think Juni liked that I already had an Alakazam, because Kadabra isn't all that common."

Quote:"I can show you how to key those crystals open - only Simon's crystals, but I can do it while he's unconscious. Just release my hands and I'll show you how."

Shiva just STARES at him for a long minute with her arms tightly closed, her expression as harsh and stoic like a brick wall and her gaze as icy-cold as her Primal Glaceon's Icy Wind and Alolan Vulpix's Ice Shard combined. The former inhales and let out a small cloud of chill breath to emphasize that Geordie should BETTER NOT try any tricks now while Shiva will free his frozen or tied hands with the help of Delphox's burning wand, and only the hands, as otherwise he'll be frozen solid within a second again. However, he has to absolutely not fear any slaps or punches or any hits from her for no reason, he just mustn't give Shiva these reasons.

Quote:"Our energy sources are fine. They're in an enchanted sleep which helps preserve them from harm. They're partially aware of their surroundings, a little like a normal capture net or being stored in the PC, but less aware than that. Um. Most of our Pokemon were given to us by the Scimitar organization, so they're ours. Or our organization's at least. To release them from the crystals you'll need the keystone at the Scimitar base. That's to keep them safe from meddlers like you."

The eternal tundra that marks Shiva's attitude sees some sunshine, life awakes, the gears start to grint again as Geordie mentions that these noble Pokemon are fine and safe in these spheres, Shiva's can't help but to musters these sleeping Pokemon with lots of interest and a great amount of compassion. She can almost feel their psychic energy pulsating when touching these spheres - these poor ones, yet they're safe in there? That's not too bad actually.

Shiva's voice is thawing also and in unison with her Primal Glaceon calms down as well, the softness returns in tiny tiny baby steps by the smallest hatched Pokemon. She even sounds a bit timid or embarrassed as she whispers a "Please don't call me a...'meddler'. That's not very kind." She coughs once and continues. "In that case, if these Pokemon are yours, you don't have to fear me taking them from you. Keep them - especially if they're safe in there and NOT FORCED to lend you their powers. Just let me...check on them, alright? Release the Alakazam please. I own one myself. Raised it myself. I'd like to see how it's doing."

Also: "And where does THE ORGANISATION get the Pokemon from, Geordie?"

It's the Alakazam Shiva wishes to meet and see, not the Baltoy - can she with her incredible Insight and her fully-grown Psychic Types currently on hand (Lilith and Delphox) confirm that all's fine with the Pokemon within the spheres? If it helps that Helios is with Shiva, she'll swap him into her team via the PTC. Shiva's not comfortable to leave the Pokemon with them until she knows for sure that they're doing fine while being with these Scimitars.

She can tell the Baltoy is a little physically uncomfortable, kind of like someone coming up out of anesthesia. It's healthy, but woozy and probably not as pleased as a normal Pokeball would make it. And very very bored.

Geordie releases Alakazam while explaining he doesn't know where the organization gets the Pokemon from. "Some are bred, like Duosion. Some recruited. Most probably captured in the wild - we can get away with using very common Pokemon sometimes, like Staryu + a synthetic stone. And you don't have to take the time to bond with your spell sources if you don't want to, so you can just KO them and capture them with whatever kind of Pokeball you have. Then transfer them to the crystal spheres."

When released, Simon's Alakazam just sits quietly on its haunches, awaiting orders. It's in the same condition as Baltoy.

There are seven Alakazam here - one belonging to the conscious Geordie, one released, and five more that are trapped without a Scimitar keystone.

A bored Psychic Type feels equal to a poisoned Cottonee, Shiva hardly can watch it. If it's okay, she'll hand the woozy Baltoy a few Incense Sticks and a small bell so it at least has a few things it can keep itsef occupied with. Alakazam is well enough that Shiva's comfortable enough to let him stick with Geordie, but instead of a battle order he is offered a bent silvery spoon from Shiva, it's one Helios has used to train his psychic power.

Shiva has one last question, it's more of personal interest and curiosity: "...So you've used a synthetic stone to evolve a Staryu into a Starmie? Please be honest and tell me, did you notice any differences between evolving a Pokemon with a synthetic stone Almanac made and evolving one with a natural one? If you've never evolved a Pokemon with a natural stone before, you don't have to answer."

Terra nods along as they continue to spill their guts on all things Scimitar, but when they revealed the origins of their involvement in the Water Scimitar cause cause him to pause, before he let out a small *sigh* and shook his head in...regret?

".....Noble and good of you, but wrong too. Could have ask to trade for your Alakazam back, then chose to retire with them. Instead, you beat up and stole them from that trainer, and chose.....a life of crime. Can understand and.......feel for you, but it does not.....excuse you from the bad things you done."

"......Tell me about Juni. What is she like? What is she capable of? And is she a.....high ranking leader of the Scimitars?"

After that question is answered, Terra's pretty much has nothing left to ask the weakly wizard (unless they bring up another interesting tidbit), and so finally gets back to their request for release with a definitive shake of his head.

"No. We can not release you. You have done bad, and are.......not sorry for it at all. Will do more bad things and worse if we let you go, so you are.....staying with us, until the police can.....take you away. That is that."

If the Scimitar reacts poorly to that, or shows signs of it, Angie will be quick to issue a warning *Ssssszzzzzzk...!* at them, while Tommy grins and shows off their sharp claws. That's cow them, if they have any sense left in them!

After the officer go ahead with the crystal Heart ask Nathan. "You think it was a good idea let her carry the crystal? I fear the Scimitars may try to get the crystal or something. But then again, both you and her have a point. As much we were strong, we only civilians. Guess we gonna wait here in the Pokemon Center. I just hope we do not get some sort of lurch again. I dont want to be lost though Time and Space again."

"...honestly, I'm more concerned about making sure our attackers suffer the consequences for what they did than that crystal at the moment.  We'll deal with the other stuff if and when it happens.  Officer Jenny knows what she's doing.  She knows the risks, and she won't do anything that needlessly puts herself in harm's way.  Nothing we can do now except wait."

As confident as Nathan is in saying some of that, he's definitely still...how to put it...somewhat dejected.

At this point, playing the waiting game for him is, quite frankly, very much not energizing.  He had all that energy from all that anger and wanting to do something...and now it's just gone.

He's waiting on the League to find something concerning his dad's case.

Again.

Oh, the irony...all this training and trying to get stronger so he can hopefully learn something about what happened to his dad, do something about Almanac and the Scimitars because of what they did to Gallade a year ago...and right now, he just feels a little...powerless, even despite all that.  Not entirely, of course, but now that the whole thing is basically out of his hands...

Nathan just sits down at a table in the lobby, feeling a little tired even though the day has only just begun.

Can't win 'em all, after all...but hopefully the end results of this feel a bit more satisfactory than the events leading up to it...

"I think they're pretty similar. At least in power. I couldn't say if their behavior is the same, but I don't see why it'd be different. The rarer stones are harder to synthesize though, I'll tell you that."

"Juni is a very disrespectful person, but she's dedicated to the cause. She's in the third tier in the hierarchy, and the highest ranking Scimitar I ever get to talk to or know the identity of. Like I said, her Alakazam is stronger. She thinks very quickly on her feet, a valuable trait for a mage."

"Hey, screw you, man. I told you everything I could. The cops won't understand our cause, just like the League doesn't. Whatever."

Heart dont like see Nathan like that. Heart himself already have his experience in feel powerless. He give Nathan a weak punch in his shoulder. "Hey, lets not loose hope my friend. Lets stay a little positive. Waiting its not a bad thing. This is also a good opportunity to discuss a few strategies and some combinations. Remember: You still owe me a battle when we return to our time. And believe me: The result gonna be different than last time we fough." Heart was trying to make Nathan a little more energetic. As much they did not get along so much well in the past, both Heart and Nathan now share a bond. Perhaps not so strong yet, but they share secrets of their past, and Nathan helped him to become a more confident person and grown as a human. Heart owe Nathan quite a lot, so helping him get better its the least he need to do.

About an hour after the unconscious Scims are tied up, the first of the police arrive. It's Officer Jenny and Ranger Axil from Teazel Valley, along with eight deputies spread among four patrol cars. They release overgrown Spinarak who wrap those Scimitars right up, they take pictures of the crime scene, and they take statements from each of you as a group. What are you telling the cops?

They also plan to bring back the Confused Pokemon in one of the League's Temporary Balls. It's easiest to catch them while they're still fainted, and they'll receive treatment in Teazel Valley. They can be used as evidence, plus they can easily be returned to their owners this way. Arcanine, however, is a little more difficult. Fortunately he's in good shape already thanks to the Potion and being revived. If you want to make a case for keeping Arcanine, now's the time to do it.

Terra has Angie touchdown so he can safely hop off them and go meet up the police, after which she takes off again so she can keep a watchful eye on thing in case anything bad or funny happens. As for what the police think of the scene of an intimidating mountain of a man so riding on what could possibly be one of the largest Dragons in existence (if we discount Raquaza, of course), and him so easily commanding her, but I imagine they'd be more than a little impressed.

As for what his statement to him, it is thus: "Those bad guys Ambushed us, after we finished talking with Thrawn and his group about.....someone being chased into Skull Ruins. Surrounded us, and saw them.....take control of other group's Pokemon with.......strange powers of their's. Tried to capture or get rid of my group too, or force us to give up our Pokemon to them. They had their Pokemon use Lethal Moves on our partners. Had  Arcanine use Crunch on my friend's Gallade, and Nidoqueen using Superpower on a friendly Absol that followed us around. Juni - leader of the bad guys - kept blasting lasers at my Pokemon using some weird powers, and others used power to try and stop us defending ourselves. Still, we beat them all, but she got away by....Teleporting to Cress, I think. Looked like she was Teleporting, and said name of city before she disappeared.  After that, Nathan and Heart Teleported to Cress to tell police.....you about attack, and get help arresting bad guys and the other group's Pokemon. Me, Shiva, and Spira stayed here to keep watch over bad guys, and make sure other group's Pokemon were alright. Restrained them, and put all their stuff in that pile over their *Points to pile* . And......that is all."

The mountain of a man doesn't mention the bunch of Scimitar tech he has sitting in his Inventory right now, nor any about his interrogation of the Scimitar, mainly because he wasn't entirely sure sharing either would cause time paradox shenanigans or complicate things in a negative way for the group. Since its within the mage dude's best interests to not have crucial intel about the Water Scimitars being given to the Cheshire League and the police, I don't think they would have much of a reason to contradict him on those points. Also, Angie's currently staring him down, so all the more reason for him to remain silent!

He DOES tell them all about the Special Spheres and the Pokemon contained in them, though, since it will be pretty hard to cover up their existence with Baltoy and their Alakazam out. Besides that, though, mum's the word about the deeper secrets of those wily wizards!

As for the case for Arcanine's staying with the group, he just says this: "Arcanine should stay with us for now. Trusts us after we healed and took care of them, and he's still.......not handling what happened very well. Needs to stay with us, so he gets better soon." (I mainly put this out here, since it seems like Shiva/Phantom would want them to stick with the group for awhile, judging by their interactions)

Nathan closes his eyes and sighs.

"...I just hope they get the ones responsible for all this...I don't want all this to go to waste..."
