[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"Ah, sadly we don't yet know how to synthesize the mega stones. Maybe one day. We have to seek them out in our excavations. Mt. Sentry, the Great Divide, even the Great River contained many Mega Stones. Over time, these treasures were found and spread out among trainers. Some are still out there. My Alakazite is something I found on the beach of Lake Chicory, smoothed by centuries of water lapping the shore. It's said there are powerful Psychic types who inhabit the waters of Creshire: the Lake Trio, Lugia, Slowking. And don't underestimate Mega Slowbro and the wise Starmie. Even Palkia, as Heart mentioned, is a Water type - though Dragon and not truly Psychic."

Spira looks Juni dead in the eyes, his eyes seemingly having a ghostly aura. "You will tell us who your mole is or I swear, I'll send you to the Dark Void myself" he's clearly trying to intimidate her.

To the detective: "If you need further proof of these lurches and this whole time travel scenario, here is my trainer card," Spira says, handing Thrawn his ID.

"I'd rather die. That connection is one of the most valuable things my organization has."

"I did feel a lurch, yes. A trainer card from 1925? This is hard to believe...but things have been strange lately." He cuddles Arcanine for comfort.

"I'm very much out of my depth here."

Bill: "There was a shortlived rainforest from the end of the ice age to a point of human expansion. In the year 1010, Sarimanok's ancestors completed their logging of the Great Forest. It was said a Pokemon came from yet another meteor, another Millennium Comet, and met humans expanding from all directions, forcing it to flee instead of establishing a new Pokemon species. That Pokemon is thought to be a relative of Elgyem. Some mystical traditions say Creshire would have been entirely different if humans hadn't messed with this important interstellar cycle. Every Millennium Comet brought a new species, except that one."

....Another Millennium Comet incoming, oh holy Reshiram!!~~ Shiva's both thrilled to bits and startled like nothing about these news, she shrieks sharply and almost throws Bill's mail far from herself as an initiate reaction. She enjoys that mystical aspect and is very curious what Pokemon that'll be and simultaneous incredibly sorry for it, at the moment she can only theorize. The rainforest - Great Forest - being logged increases Shiva's determination to explore that area and gather/rescue as much as she can carry.

Another expected meteor impact means that Lilith gets summoned almost right away, alongside her Shiva scans the sky for any hints. Can she and Gothy already pick up something, how's she giving herself, how much time is there to Gothy's guess until the believed collision?

Gothitelle points to the strange light in the sky. It's coming, but it'll be a week before it actually lands.

"...Spira, cool it, please."

Nathan closes his eyes as he processes everything he's hearing...his expression darkens just a little more for a moment as he gets confirmation that yes, the Scimitars were indeed responsible for attacking his father.  No more potential coincidences and speculation left there.

More questions.

"...we're somewhere around where Route 13 will be in the future.  Likely around the same area where you attempted to ambush us, south of the Cress Cliffs.  That enough info to tell us where the closest drop point is?"

"...and why does your organization have so much interest in this 'Genesect', hm?  And what does inserting the Burn Drive into the robot allow you to access?  Why plant the robot in Wineberry besides the bug obsession?"

"...and is your Alakazam happy with that bond and being stuck in that device you wear all the time?  Can you even feel if he is?  Or is he just another means to an end, a tool used to achieve a goal?"

-------

Regarding Thrawn, Nathan will be ready to talk with him and answer questions at any point after he finishes grilling Juni.  Can flash forward to it if you want to do that.  If Thrawn has questions, he's free to approach Nathan.  Otherwise, Nathan will probably initiate things for his own reasons.

"There's a drop in the foundation of a bulldozed building called the Mamoswine Diner. It might be a bit north of here in the future."

"Who wouldn't want an awesome robot bug? But we do know Sarimanok had an actual Genesect fossil and considered it very important... it might help us understand the Skull Ruins someday. Wineberry is close enough to several locations where we plan to have bases - the Burn drive will open those tunnels and it also lets my tech, Francine, into the Genesect for maintenance and reprogramming."

If Shiva would have only known this a bit earlier, she might have tried to get the others to abstain from clipping the cables that connect her model of gauntlet with the neurons - 'tried' is the key word, as her inner voice is whispering to her in a low voice that the chance that she'd succeed on that are laying two times lower than the natural habitat of a Huntail. :C

Something very suprising and unexpected happens: Shiva actually gifts Juni a very small smile!! Shiva takes extra care that NONE, least of all DizzyCalam, does notice it however, whether Juni herself notices she doesn't even know. That point's not as important as what this change in expression means: The compassion of hers for this blue-haired woman raises by 0.5.

She cannot help it unfortunately, she simply has to speak up once more to bring up a question that arises in her mind: "....Juni, you seem to have quite the fondness for your Alakazam, which is a noble thing to notice. But please tell me one thing: Has Alakazam themselves agreed to be bonded to you in such a deep way? What have...you done to achieve such a connection to such a smart and powerful Pokemon? What advice could you give to me who wishes to achieve my Alakazam megaevolving as well...?" That's an honest question, and Shiva's actually curious to know. Her bond to Helios is strong, she's the most important person for him, but she feels there's room to strengthen this connection further.

If it helps or would in some way be interesting/helpful for Helios (currently with Shiva) to actually meet Juni's Alakazam for a meaningful interaction or similar, that's naturally fine. She'd ask to free Juni just enough to summon her Alakazam then.

Gallade frowns a little.  He doesn't have to see it to notice it.  Shiva's taking the gravity of this situation too lightly in his opinion.  He doesn't act on that at all since the situation's under control, but...

Nathan stays quiet while Shiva asks that question.  He was wondering how Juni achieved that bond himself, but for entirely different reasons.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to disappoint you here, Phantom.  Nathan, Gallade, and Calam all think loosening Juni's bonds and letting out Juni's Alakazam is not a great idea.  There's no guarantee Alakazam won't try to free/escape with Juni, and that's just asking to create an opportunity for her to attempt to escape.  It's not worth the risk.

You don't need Juni free to summon her Alakazam - you have the key to her Pokeballs.

"The gauntlet bypasses the normal requirements for mega evolution. Afraid I can't help you," she smirks.
