[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
That was very nice. Bug type. Perfect pokemon type for D-Onix fight. "Alright D-Onix. You pretty much excited for battle, but just a little tip for you: No Lethal attacks ok? We dont kill foes. For defence sake, we gonna begin with Harden! And to make sure it will not escape, Bind then Rock Slide 2x! Lets hit hard and quick that Pinsir!"

Harden Accuracy: Vitality (5) + Survival (3) + Nature (2) - Actions (4) = 6D6
Effect: Increase Defense in 1 stage. Dang useful to counter balance Weak Armor.

Bind Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) - Accuracy (2) - Actions (5) = 5D6
Damage: Power (1) + STR (3) = 4D6
Effect: Block the target and deal 2 Damage each end of round.

Rock Slide Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) - Accuracy (1) - Actions (6/7) = 5D6/4D6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (3) + STAB (1) + SE (1) = 7D6+1
Effect: D3 to flinch the foe.

Extra note: Dont forget the effect of Weak Armor @Iron. In the case Onix be hit by a physical move he gets +1 in Dex but he get -1 in defense.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

If anything else, Terra at least knows that this prehistoric powerhouse's motto is 'The best defense is a good offense!' after seeing them utterly trounce that green afroed monkey, which was somewhat confusing for him (As he read Bastiodon were usually not very violent) yet impressive to witness. No one faces Bastiodon without being reduced to the dimensions of a pancake and/or stone cold KOed!

After the Fight, the sagely monk tries to catch the Fainted Pokemon after getting Melly to Paralyze them (Man, she's ALWAYS useful!), using as many of his remaining 6 Pokeballs left to do so. Might as well try to catch it, and see if he can make a profit of the strange age in the future-present!

Once Pansage is caught/isn't, he'll make his way back to the group, leaving out his ironclad dino by his side to graze as it pleases, so long as they remain close by. It seemed to savor eating all the tasty greens it could, and it's pretty much an invincible to almost everything in the jungle, so why not let them stay out and enjoy itself?

Pokeball: (3)(3) vs (3)
(6)(4) vs (3)

Gotcha! Pansage was caught!

Tropius gains 1 Happiness in this perfect habitat for him. Pokemon love seeing the world, you know!

Raphael will go a-flying with Tropius. The volcano looks a little too violent for him.

The cave slants slightly downward. There's one side chamber you find where it is somewhat cool, but the walls are very warm. It's been etched with a design of jagged stripes. At the far end is a single isolated design of a pair of sharp fangs surrounded by a spikey design. Something like this.

Down the other passage, the cave opens up to a very broad shelf on the very lip of the volcano. If you were standing at the far side, you'd be looking right down into the roiling lava about 5 yards below you! But you can't stand at that far side, because two Pokemon are there: A Floatzel and a Seviper, both trying hard to propel themselves toward a Pokemon Egg barely visible through the smog of the area. What's strange is that their progress seems to be impeded: though Floatzel's legs are moving, he's not going forward, and neither is the crawling, weaving Seviper. The latter darts his tail toward to strike at thin air, and a strange percussion noise is the result. Their progress is very slow, but they look very hungry.

Errrr...yeah, it's definitely not because of that...that ship sailed awhile ago...

I'm not saying it's not.  I'm just saying that Shiva's silence didn't make Nathan any more comfortable about being around Shiva and what he'd just said to her...

In any case, Nathan gets his stuff and pokemon together and gets ready for the trip to the cave on the volcano's lip...

Seeing Shiva's Tropius fly off to enjoy the jungle makes Nathan a little sad as well.  His own Tropius might enjoy the jungle too (if only because there's lots to eat), but there's no way Bill would approve that trade...too risky, based on where and when they are...*sigh*...ah well...

Anyways...Nathan finds that cave drawing interesting.  He's not too bothered by the heat so far, but if/when they go farther in, he might actually take off his jacket!  "...hmmm...well, if I had to guess...the locals probably put that drawing here because there's at least one dangerous pokemon down that tunnel..."

The scene down the other tunnel, however, is certainly something else.  That egg, whatever species it might contain, has definitely caught Nathan's attention.  Dittogon looks excited for a moment as well, but for an entirely different reason: It's...eager to get into a battle?  That's somewhat strange behavior for the Ditto, to be honest...

The Rainbow Relic's blinking has also caught Nathan's attention, though...

Pinsir Round 2

It's really something to see an Onix singing and mimicking and talking like a parrot!
Chatter 1

CD: (2)(3)(5)

(1)(6) Pinsir faints.
