Whew.  Got out of that completely unscathed.  Nice.  And the egg...no, eggs apparently...seem to all be fine...

While the combat is over, though, Nathan's not going to leave those two hungry pokemon here to roast in this volcano.  He (briefly) sends out Grid to Paralyze Floatzel with Thunder Wave (so it'll have a -6 Will penalty. Seviper currently has a -7 Will Penalty), then tosses 2 standard Pokeballs and 1 Great Ball (in that order) each at both Floatzel and Seviper. (total of 4 pokeballs and 2 great balls split evenly between those two wild pokemon)

As for the eggs...well, Nathan heads over to Shiva to find out what's going on with them...and is very quickly surprised by how many eggs there are.
"...whoa.  Okay, that's a lot of pokemon eggs...wait...is that one floating on the lava?  Did something purposefully put them here?"

A humongous presence steps out of the shadows. It radiates heat and power. Fur and claws tell you it's a Pokemon, a bulky Pokemon that towers over you. The fur is orange and covered with jagged black stripes, and white fur trim comes together into spiky bundles. It's a colossal Arcanine!

Ahahahaha, the dragon snake's successfully slayed, now is the time to rejoice, thank and feel relieved!~ Indeed so rejoiced, relieved and thankful that she drags both Purrloin and especially Pancham into a fond and very close and warm cuddle, she's rather happy to see them again. Even to see them without having suffered a single hit or have tasted a drip of poison! "You both did amazing, my dear ones! I'd probably be lost without your aid, or end as dinner for that Seviper... *light sob, followed by a cough from that smoke* Thank you...♡" She'd even go so far to give Pancham a light smooch on the cheek.

No way in heck she's interested to catch some of these nasty predators, and even a brief thought to catch Seviper as a gifted companion for Ven's beloved Arbok is tossed away.

As for the eggs...well, Nathan heads over to Shiva to find out what's going on with them...and is very quickly surprised by how many eggs there are.

"...whoa.  Okay, that's a lot of pokemon eggs...wait...is that one floating on the magma?  Did something purposefully put them here?"

Once Nathan arrives, she gifts him a light but honestly thankful smile as well, along with the words "T... Thank you for your aid in this battle as well. I don't know whether I would have made it safely on my own...."

As for the Eggs, while Pancham and Purrloin are still close in her arms Shiva turns to them to muster them with affection of a caliber that's IMMENSE. "...Dunno. I didn't place it there, that's for sure.... But isn't it cute how they're all lined up and gathered here? Here, they'll have it nice and warm like in a natural incubator... They even make weird sounds sometimes, whines and chirrups. ^o^The mother must be nearby, I sense her..." She gazes in direction of that living presence in that shadowy nook. She can't shake off a bad feeling, but that sense of hope catches her for a weird reason.

Is Shiva now able to approach that Arcanine? Can she do that, does 'it' let her, how close?

Given the large variety of eggs here, he's fairly certain the parents aren't nearby...which means these eggs were probably put here with a specific purpose in mind...

At the sight of that huge and noble Arcanine, Shiva gasps. Sharply even, stares at it in wonder, her bad feeling now completely vanished and overridden by this beautiful creature. Now she begins to directly see why this fierly canine is named the 'Legendary Pokemon'.

She gives Nathan a short glance from the side once he speaks about taking the Eggs with them, eventually she carefully speaks up. "Arcanine, noble and graceful one... I believe the Eggs should stay here, as something's...special about them. One of them is an Egg of a Celebi - do you, precious one, mind to enlight me what the other Eggs contain? Do you allow me and my Pokemon to touch and hug them only once? A reward for having defended them from predators.... Please?"

Another question: "Humans... Have you ever seen any until now?"

"Not necessarily. And I do want to thank you for driving off those predator Pokemon." Arcanine doesn't sound like it would care if you caught those two predators, but we'll get to that later. 

The barrier has been dropped; you are able to move freely about the plateau. 

"Welcome to the Crater of Myth. Here, I have gathered Pokemon species from throughout Time who will one day be endangered...thanks to the actions of mankind. Here I protect them, keeping them safe and warm. Each of these Eggs contains a Pokemon from fairytales, from myth, from the imagination of Nature and Man alike. For three thousand years I have guarded them through all the changes in the landscape and in the nation of Men. I have moved them when necessary, finding sheltered, warm locations so they may one day hatch as the healthiest specimens possible to fulfill their roles in Nature."

And careful Celebi, who multiplies herself across Time and asked me to keep this Egg as a special favor. These are the Myths who have not yet found a suitable Time in which to hatch."

(Now that Spira's through chara-developing and nicknaming for now, I'll have him join in at this point, but he hasn't heard it talk, yet.)
Spira sees the HUGE Arcanine and all those eggs... "Whoa. Nice doggy..." Four of the eggs Spira recognizes off the bat: Shinx, Vulpix, Magikarp, and Absol, and has the following to say about each of them.
Shinx: "Wow, haven't seen a Shinx Egg since I was in Sinnoh."
Magikarp: he doesn't say anything out loud, but snickers thinking "What is a Magikarp egg doing with these rarer Pokemon Eggs?"
Vulpix: "Now that is a rare Pokemon Egg. I've only seen one, not including this one."
Absol: "These eggs are pretty rare to see, but I've seen one or two at Mt. Coronet."

Awwww. <3 Shiva has no idea what a 'MINICORN' actually is, and she states so towards Noble Arcanine with apologizing gaze and tone. But she instantly likes the describtion of 'pure hearted unicorn' a lot, and that'll likely be...that pink Egg? Yes, probably, and when she hugs that particular Egg she gives her best to radiate love, care and protection to the young one inside this Egg, summons Cottonee even to share a this sweet moment with her. The fluffball floffs up with Growth and Shiva lets her nuzzle that Egg for a moment as well, same with the Egg containing a precious Flabebe. Shiva also lets Raphael who (hopefully or maybe) came along now with the others of the group cuddle the Eggs!~ Then, she very carefully places it down again and repeats that until all Eggs but the Celebi one have received their portion of love.

Pancham is very allowed to run around as much as his heart desires with Purrloin, as long as he takes care to not get too close to the boiling lava. Shiva trusts him in this.

"Not necessarily. And I do want to thank you for driving off those predator Pokemon."

Huh, at that Shiva perks up in - maybe uncharacteristical - open suprise, she gives Noble Arcanine a quizzical but also incredibly amazed and thankful look, for a moment these infamous sparkles even flare up in her eyes. "Are you sure about that, Precious Arcanine, caretaker of the Crater of Myth? This would be an act of incredible benevolence that I - we - may never repay to you."

She becomes a bit downcasted, looks down in sadness as Arcanine mentions that the Pokemon's power dims with Nature's. The look of the Eggs as well as her special panda and black cat having their joy soon elevates her mood though, with a smile she looks back to Arcanine. "I can't bit to agree to you, Noble Arcanine... Humans can be so cruel to nature and Pokemon, but some have their heart at the right spot as well. ('Like N', she thinks to herself). Mother Nature's power, Earthpower, it's all within us, I FELT it myself only shortly ago. It is as if it was yesterday... Walking around with my Pokemon when our energy waves aligned, when I felt our power and bond increasing. Me, a citizen used to skyscrappers and busy streets, would have never believed to become so close to nature as I may be now, and never would I trade this experience away. It's true that one changes during a journey.... It's SO true."

"You mentioned 'to fulfill their role in nature'... How do we know what the hatchling's role is if we are gifted with an Egg by you here, Noble Arcanine...?" That's something Shiva's very curious but also a bit shy about.

EDIT: What's actually with the assumed Mega Stone nearby, out of curiosity?
