Bill's House is six hours' walk north. The camping spot is not far at all, because you haven't made much progress from there.

Haha, why does this remind me a bit on Terra's personality? Shiva notes though to keep any displays off affection either at minimum or for private places to not stress her now bulky panda. Ahh, if only Vincent could see what has become of the black-spotted Egg by now... And the Professor at Telperion University even!

"Everyone okay? Where do we go now? Continue to Tezeal Valley? Go back to Bill's? Go back to Cress to turn Juni in?"

Shiva doesn't have to think too much about what she wishes to do, she draws her guidebook and studies the map shown on the first page with a frowning, thoughtful look. "If it....takes several hours to get to Bill's house, it likely takes half the day to get to Cress City and another half to wander back to this spot. I, eh....would prefer if we could continue to go towards Teazel Valley and eventually Elanor actually. Alright? We could probably turn Juni in there, or if anyone of you wish to quick-teleport or even travel with Angie to town, I don't mind."

She grows a bit meek to speak her mind further. "I'd also like to visit the camping spot where we've met Detective Thrawn and the others for the first time please, because.... I left an Egg there, one with a long gestation process. The young one should have grown much over the course of three years!~" ^o^

She ends up sending Helios, Tropius and unfortunately Lilith to Bill's PC due to her party being twice the size of what it legally is in 2017, means her current party is: Cottonee, Raphael, Vaporeon, Pangoro, Delphox, Purrloin + one exemplar of a Petilil Egg, Minicorn Egg, Flabebe Egg, Pumpkaboo Egg and technically the Eevee Egg. I wish to keep the panda and black cat together a little as they seem to get along very well with one another and try out new moves they'll learn in a following Encounter.

(He doesn't have one, since he only became Terra's companion during the Ancestor Cave Trip, which was only a couple of days ago in the Present Era [I think.....], and you said he can't make a big Pay Day until at least seven days have passed. That's why I was hoping the Time Travel counted towards it, so I didn't have to keep them in my party for several more days to get the payout and therefore leave me with only 3-4 Pokemon I can switch out on a whim, but if that isn't the case, oh well.....)

Sounds like people are in favor of traveling onward then.

You struggle through the wild a bit, occasionally finding faded tracks to help you. This takes up quite some time and results in very little progress. Eventually, just as you're probably beginning to get frustrated, you feel one final LURCH.

Arcanine is too powerful to be threaded by the Adamant Orb, so no threads available this time besides your own party.

You're now standing within sight of the Route to Teazel Valley. Immediately, your Pokeballs start blinking! Phones synced to 2017 now work, showing that only three hours have passed in 2017.

The pale light from Nathan's PTC stops existing, and your PTCs will no longer function except as watches.

On lurching to the present, Spira attempts to recall Hida to his Pokeball, and if that does nothing, Spira looks for him and re-collects the Midnight seed from the spot that he left it before the lurch (In case you missed the post where I said he'd leave it in 2011, here)

You journey up the mountainside. There, you find a Magcargo "rushing" toward you with a Magmarizer! It dims its heat as the two of you approach each other. 

Congratulations! Your Slugma has evolved into Magcargo!

Magcargo has lost 1 Happiness with you, but gained 2 Loyalty since you came back a thousand years later!!

It also has 111 XP, a +1 HP surprise, and a lot more hard-won wisdom.


In the company of Hida is another Magcargo, with a very long dripping beard. The same Magcargo you spotted 10,000 years in the past.

"Ah. Welcome back Hida! Eh, this Magcargo, it seems familiar..." Spira's eyes go wide "This is the one we saw a long time ago! Say, what is it doing with you?"

Back down the mountain to the jungly swamps, you find your Midnight Seed. I promised you 1d6 Pumpkaboo Eggs.
(3) There you go! Three Pumpkaboo Eggs, all very thoroughly ripened.
The vine immediately collapses, creating a spot of fertile soil.

When Spira sees the eggs he grabs all three and returns to the group then speaks to Shiva (PhantomUnderYourDesk): "You remember that Midnight seed I had? Well three eggs grew from it! You mentioned that you wanted one, so here," he grabs one from his bag and hands it to her holding the egg with both hands.

That's an XP total.

Hida just gives a small smile - seems to have become friends with this Elder Magcargo while you were away. You think maybe they've trained together.

A roar from Arcanine somehow lingers in your ears as you reach 2017 - Spira's new home, and a familiar, comfortable era for the rest of you. You've learned a lot on your journey through Time - the mystery of the Millennium Comet, the machinations of Deoxys, the benevolent agenda of Arcanine, and the histories of friends and foe alike. You can be sure these threads will come up again when you return to civilization armed with all these new experiences.

END OF CHAPTER 2

When Heart was returning to the camp, Heart take a moment to aproach Shiva. He was holding both Beldum and Moltres Egg. He look to them and talk. "...I sorry. About the way I talk to you...and the way I have act. About use our pokemon to...brainwash Juni and the...killing option. I have acted just like the way the Scimitars have act, and only now I notice now. I was a big hypocrisy, and I let my anger get the best on me. And sorry too the way I treat you...if I really want to become the leader my clan will need, I need to become a more merciful and wise person. And to not let emotions get the best on me." Then Heart look again to Moltres Egg. "Even more I have a important mission in my hands. Could you forgive this foolish person that I am?"

Huh, she was actually a bit suprised as Heart approached her with (for her easily) sensible meekness and carefulness, clearly as if something was on his mind that was bothering him. She gave herself kind and open to listen what he might say, waiting for him to start and set the pace.

Once he has spoken himself out, her gaze was still calm and her voice soft, nothing hinted that she was mad or resentful toward the PUNisher. "Heart, it's alright. Thank you that you came to me with that instead of...just keeping shut, and your words of apology are definitely noted. They show you care, that's great! I will forgive you, so please don't feel bad, okay? Just, eh... Maybe try to think twice before saying or doing something when your emotions start to boil, as under such circumstances one tends to say or do things that one later may regret. It likely has to do with your affinity for fire?" She pauses for a moment before stating something else. "...Words may not cause real physical wounds, but they can cause just as severe wounds - right in there especially." She reaches forward and places a fingertip on the spot where the human heart is located. Cottonee joins in that and chuckles delightfully.

When Spira sees the eggs he grabs all three and returns to the group then speaks to Shiva: "You remember that Midnight seed I had? Well three eggs grew from it! You mentioned that you wanted one, so here," he grabs one from his bag and hands it to her holding the egg with both hands.

Ahhhhhh Shiva's very happy that he remembered!~ This earns him a very adorable smile and a thankful look. "Neat that you kept that in mind, thank you so much! Three Eggs sounds like the vine has grown well. Uh, what will you do with the third Egg if I may ask, will you keep both and raise them as twins? You already know or will you decide after they've hatched?"

With an additional Pumpkaboo Egg she feels like she'll be able to one day fill a whole party with Baby Pokemon. Cool.

*Flashback!*

Eventually after a meandering stroll through the jungle with Bastiodon collecting/pointing out any useful plants for his ironcald dino (who'd most likely promptly try to graze on them), Terra made his return to the *LURCH*/campsite with a smile on his face.......which dimmed once he realized everyone else save Thrawn was still gone on their respective forays. Huh, that's strange, and mildly concerning.....

At first the sagely monk shrugged it off, figuring that his friends were still busy exploring the jungle or catching/Fighting Pokemon, and so settled himself by simply hanging with the detective and Bastiodon, enjoying their company and some small talk with the former, and calling down Angie on high to check on how Juni was doing. When an unspecified amount of time passed and most of the group still hadn't returned, that was when he started getting really worried and ever so slightly confused, as he frown severely at his surroundings with arms crossed and gaze Alert.

'.....Where is everyone? Should not have taken them long to do their stuff and comeback.....but it has and they have not. What has happened to them? Are they in trouble? Hurt? Lost, or stuck? Worse? ...Don't know. Can't find out if they are okay, since Pokedex doesn't work in this.....past time. Hrn.......this is not good.'

Needless to say, Terra wasn't exactly brimming with confidence at the continued absence of his friends. Still.....

'......Will wait on them longer. Before I go out, and search for them. Shiva, Nathan, Heart, Spira......they are all very strong and clever, in and out of battle. Not much could be......threatening to them here, so maybe they are.....just really busy? Hm....yes, maybe just that. .....Hopefully. Hopefully......'

So in the end, the mountain of a man decided to continue waiting on his companions to return, instead of combing the entire area for any trace of them. Several times he was tempted to just call down his seraphic dragon and do a fly by to try and find everyone, but he resisted the urge and continued to play sentinal. With (bad) luck, the rest of the group could come back while he was gone searching for them, so for now it was best to stick around and not potentially over complicate matters.

Thankfully, his patience was rewarded when he spotted  everyone hike down from the volcano, bring out a great big *Siiiiiigh* of relief and a smile on his face as he greeted them.

"You have returned......unharmed and happy. *Nods* Good, very good. Hm......why where you all at the.......volcano so long........"

It was at this point he'd notice Nathan/Shiva/Heart where all carrying Eggs in some fashion.

"......And Eggs? How did you get them? So many of them too.....is that why you all were gone for so long...?"

I'll leave it to anyone that wants to explain the whole event to him, either by a Flashback or PM. Regardless, Terra will be accepting of the whole situation broadly speaking, and so has no qualm about their Pledges. That's that for this scene until the *LURCH* back to the Present, so....

*Flashback End!*

Upon arrival back into what seemed like the present (Judging by the fact all his Pokeballs were flashing and checking his Pokedex to see it needed an update), Terra let out another *Sigh* of relief, glad that he and the group were finally back in modernity. Sure, he'd enjoyed the various trips through time and exploring all the eras in them, but he was glad that all those erratic and often harrowing *LURCHES* where behind him and no longer a problem........or so he hopes.

The Pokemon he sends back to the PC will be Anubi (Taking the Lucky Egg from them before he did so), Yogi, Farfetch'd, Mawile, both Victreebells, and Passage, leaving him with the party comp of Shiranui, Lapis Lazuli, Angie (Who was still outside her ball with Juni strapped onto her back), Tommy, Melly, and Bastiodon. Essentially, he keeps the party he started with before the *LURCHES* happened, but with the prehistoric powerhouse sticking around for added protection + getting more time to bond with the beast. Also, if we counted all the days Tommy the Meowth was with Terra throughout the *LURCHES*, it should have been plenty of time for his Pay Day to give Terra $2000 Poke (With Heart's Amulet Coin being borrowed for that)! If not.....well, guess Tommy's sticking around in the party for quite some time more!

After that, the steely brawler looks at the group, before calmly and simply asking:

"Everyone okay? Where do we go now? Continue to Tezeal Valley? Go back to Bill's ? Go back to Cress to turn Juni in?"

(Man, to many posts to react! I keep simple and quick to Heart reactions)

1 - Heart was surprise and almost couldnt believe they are finally back to 2017. He avoid to dance and kiss the ground like before. He only yell in happiness. He also send his extra pokemon back to the pc and keep his team. (Who is in my char sheet @Iron)

2 - Heart nods in thanks to Shiva words, and he promise to think twice when his emotions boil inside of him.

3 - Heart also was forced to refuse. "I sorry, but I cant accept. I already have 2 eggs to take care with me. Maybe you should offer that egg to Terra? That would very great."

4 - "To be honest Terra, I never was so much great! We finally return home! Yahoo! And we should take care of Juni problem first. Back to Cress City I guess. But I already alerted Bill to call the police when we return so time to go in contact with him."

Flashback!

When Terra asks about why they have so many pokemon eggs and if that was why they were in the cave for so long, Nathan nods.  "Yup.  There was a talking Arcanine in there guarding them.  No, I'm not kidding.  The eggs he's guarding are all species that are either endangered in this time or will be in the future.  The ones he gave to us are all endangered in our time, and the rest we left with him aren't.  Shiva has a Minicorn and a Flabebe, I have a Dratini and an Absolite, and Heart...*looks around to make sure Juni is out of earshot*...has the Legendary Winged Mirage of Fire, Moltres."  (Cue surprised questions from Terra?)

It's a straightforward and frank explanation.  It doesn't have to be any more complicated than that, really.



Present Time!

Nathan is so, sooooo relieved when the lurch brings them back to 2017.

Ditto and Gallade had both remained outside of their pokeballs while attempting to trek through the thick jungle.  Except as soon as Ditto settles back into the present time, it instantly Transforms.  Instead of a Flygon, it's now a Lunatone once again!

Now then, as soon as Nathan gets his bearings, he checks on the Dratini egg to make sure it's okay...and also still there.

And it is, presumably!  Phew, no paradoxes...Nathan knowing everything he does, time travel was a rather...stressful experience for him, to say the least.

Though since the Dratini egg is there, that also means...

Terra says it as Nathan is thinking it.  Yup, they still have Juni captive.

"...everything's okay on my end, Terra.  We should probably turn Juni in to the authorities sooner rather than later.  The sooner we do that, the sooner we can relax a little.  Everything okay on your end, Detective Thrawn?  We have a few Teleport users if we need to reach Cress immediately, or we could just walk back."

Also, assuming Bill gave Nathan his number when asked for it, Nathan will call/text Bill.

"Bill, we're back.  We're probably going to turn Juni in to the authorities before we do anything else, and we'll probably have to take it easy for the rest of the day.  Do you need us to return the watches?"

As for the pokemon Nathan will keep on hand...that'll be Gallade, Ditto, the Dratini Egg, Calam, Swiftfire, and Snivy.
