Continued Flashback!

First off, Nathan points to Thrawn's Arcanine.  "That's an Arcanine.  Except the one in the Volcano was bigger.  And probably worthy of being called a true Legendary.  Stories of Arcanine like that are probably why we call Arcanine the Legendary Pokemon in modern times, despite the ones we're familiar with not actually being fully fledged Legendaries."

Then Nathan gives brief descriptions of the other pokemon.  "Dratini is a really rare, serpentine Dragon.  It's final evolution, however, isn't serpentine, and the entire evolution line is very famous worldwide.  Flabebe is a really, really small, always female Fairy that is perpetually perched on its favorite kind of flower, which it usually chooses immediately after its birth.  Her final evolution is often depicted as a guardian of flower fields and meadows.  Moltres...I can tell you more about that one later.  They're a Legendary Fire type bird pokemon, though, so Heart has the most important and difficult job out of all of us."


And finally, how they got in that situation!  "Shiva and I found a couple predators trying to get at the eggs Arcanine was guarding.  We KOed them...and I think Arcanine probably just dropped them off somewhere outside the cave later after we left...and Arcanine told us about what he was doing.  After a little talking, he decided we might be able to help the species that are endangered in our time repopulate since we're kind-hearted.  His words, not mine.  And I'm paraphrasing a little since that wasn't exactly what he said, but that was the gist of it.  Heart and Spira wandered over to the cave a little bit after Shiva and I finished battling the predators and had the same opportunity to potentially adopt one of the eggs.  This isn't going to be an easy job, but we'll do our best to see it through."

*Flashback Continued!*

The clever trainer's rather demonstrative explanation of what an Arcanine is elicited an "Oh......" from the sagely monk, followed by him abashedly rubbing the back of his head and nodding back. Well, now he feels a bit more stupid and embarrassed about his ignorance, especially since it could have been easily avoided if he'd just asked Thrawn what Pokemon his Fire doggie was beforehand. Guess that's what he gets for being quiet around the detective, huh.....

Descriptions of the rare Pokemon manage to mollify him, though, as he quietly nodded along with the boy's words until they got to Moltres, which lit his interest on fire you could say, as he leaned forward with a none to subtly surprised and impressed by what he heard.

"Moltres is a Legendary Fire Pokemon? And Heart got one as an Egg? Became its caretaker? That is..........that is fortunate. Big. A great honor. It is.....wow."

For a moment, Terra was rendered speechless by just how awesome it was for the pun lover to receive a Legendary Pokemon to raise and care for, but he slowly recovered, his expression firming up with both pride and seriousness. As for the short story, the rugged wanderer more or less listens with rapt attention, looking keenly interested as Nathan described everything with concise but crisp detail, clearly wanting to know more about the wonderous situation.

"So that is what happened. *Smiles* You did well, Nathan, Shiva, Heart. Took care of egg eaters, became Egg's protectors, and....work to make their future bright and happy.  Very proud of you all, my friends. *Expression hardens*....But sounds like you all have big responsibility for them too. Especially Heart. Hm......*Nods*.....will do everything I can to help you, then. Promise. For my friends and Eggs, it is least I can do, so don't........hesitate to ask. Understand?"

Though he didn't and wouldn't ever make a Pledge, Terra none the less still desired to support his friend's own efforts to care for those priceless newborns to be. Simply that, and nothing much else.

Heart blush a bit and he scratched the back of his own head. "Heh, thank you Terra! It's gonna be a long job to do, since Arcanine alert me there gonna be dangers to face to those who become guardians of Moltres Egg. I also gonna find some sort of "sacred plants" to put in the nightly incubation pyre. Sandalwood. Cedar. Balsam. Spikenard. Olibanum. Resinwood. Gum. Incense. Or sassafras if none of those is available. Gonna need your help in search for any of those plants. And Shiva, since you have better craft skills, can you teach how to build a Pyre?"

Hida just gives a small smile - seems to have become friends with this Elder Magcargo while you were away. You think maybe they've trained together.

Spira addresses the elder Magcargo: "Ah. It is good to see you again, glad to see that you are getting along well with Hida, and I'd like to thank you for caring for and training him." (Also, @Iron, did Hida learn any extra moves when he evolved? If not, I'd like to spend 84 xp to have him learn Ancient Power, Recover, and Lava Plume)

Heart also was forced to refuse. "I sorry, but I cant accept. I already have 2 eggs to take care with me. Maybe you should offer that egg to Terra? That would very great."

Spira approaches Terra (@Lord Windos),  and asks the man he's barely spoken to if he'd be interested in raising this spare Pumpkaboo (if not, and if Nathan isn't interested, Spira will find a place to put the third egg up for adoption)

If Terra doesn't take the Pumpkaboo egg, yes, Nathan will take it.  He doesn't seem very nervous about it, either, unlike when he initially learned that Spira trains Ghost types primarily (though again, Nathan hasn't seemed nervous around the 4 Ghosts Spira started with since learning Spira is from Sinnoh)

As for the pokeballs...

"Ah, right.  You only had 6 pokemon on hand in 2014, and getting a 7th in 2014 didn't particularly matter...and I promised I'd explain the PC system to ya, so...as a real quick explanation, Bill, the guy we've been communicating with via our watches, is the one who invented the modern PC storage system.  It's a way to both store any extra pokemon and automatically enforce the 6 pokemon party limit the League set.  Those blinking blue lights are an indication that you have 7 or more pokemon on hand.  It's backwards compatible with 20s pokeballs too, which is why you're pokeballs are currently blinking just like ours are.  Just press the button on one of your blinking pokeballs, and it'll flash green to confirm that it sent your pokemon to Bill's PC.  If you don't press any of the buttons, the system automatically sends the pokemon you caught last to the PC after about an hour or so.  You can log in to any PC terminal in a Pokemon Center, Gym, or other official League building with your trainer ID to manage your stored pokemon and party of 6.  Speaking of which, that reminds me...we'll have to get you an up to date trainer card..."

"...oh, and don't be surprised if things seem more expensive in this time.  The value of money has gone down quite significantly in the last 90 years due to inflation.  However, Pokeballs are actually cheaper since they're mass produced, and there's lots of different ones with lots of different effects in addition to the standard red pokeballs, including basic pokeballs with no effects other than having a stronger seal.  Modern Pokeball technology has improved quite a lot since it was first invented in 1925."

Nothing really Shiva feels like adding to the ongoing discussion about what to do with tied-up Juni now, if she'd be asked she'd like to just give them into Detective Thrawn's and Arcanine's hands so that he can take her back to Cress City on the fierly canine's back even while they would travel onwards to Teazel Valley. There can also give their testimones and everything that's needed, she herself wouldn't mind to let the others do that before she would do. Means more time for her to spent with her Pokemon and explore things!~ Second prefered option is pulling of a Gligarman. :>

She's also aware that Bill does need the PTCs back now that they've collected enough data for sure. While she'd enjoy to meet Bill himself once more, she'd probably prefer to have the Pidove of his come and collect it once being in a town. Or: @Iron, could Shiva actually send ExtremeSpeed-boosted Raphael to Bill with her PTC in order to have it sooner? How long would the archangel take for that flight and back, and how great are the chances that something (catchers, wild Pokemon etc.) happens to him during that? Would Raphael himself be up for that task even?

Neither she finds it necessary to add something to the explanation to Terra about the Cave of Myth, Legendary Arcanine and the Special Eggs, she's actually the only one who does not carry her Eggs openly but within her bag, so the mountainous man couldn't spot them just by taking a look at the natural fae enthusiast.

In fact, Shiva is sitting in the grass a bit aside but still in hearing distance, watching Purrloin and Pangoro running around and having their fun. Given her formerly smol and cute and now still-cute but not-smol-anymore panda suprisingly evolved in the black cat's presence, she'd believe they seem to get along rather well with each other. Do they, what can Shiva guess from how they interact? This also feels like a good moment for Purrloin to use Pay Day to magic-up a rolled Berry to gift it to the big and strong panda. If she could do so, neat! If not, then not.

She grows a bit meek to speak her mind further. "I'd also like to visit the camping spot where we've met Detective Thrawn and the others for the first time please, because.... I left an Egg there, one with a long gestation process. The young one should have grown much over the course of three years!~" ^o^

(...) In regard to the fae lady's ever so slightly bashful request (Which went completely over his head), Terra immediately nodded his head and shared a smile with her, before reaching over to pat her head in a comforting manner.

"*Nods* Sure. *Looks thoughtful* Hm.......ah. Angie can take you there quickly and back here, if you ride her *Points to the draconic seraph*. Can come with you and help too, if you want. Okay?"

He looks at the mystical lass with open, polite curiosity, while Angie (Who floated nearer to the ground/group post Lurch - My, weren't those weird experiences....) let out a  pleasant *Hmmmmsssszzzz* of agreement with her papa's plans. She'd be happy to give her papa's friends/pseudo family rides, so long as they didn't try to dictate or ask too much of her! Only her papa is worthy enough and earned the right to command and ask her for anytime in or out of battle, *SsssZzzz!*

Eeeeeeekkkk!~ Shiva almost evades Terra's outstretched hand out of startle, but eventually calms down and allows him to pet her head and hair a bit. That's a privilege only her dad and Ventus enjoy for the most part - she lets Terra get away with it in this case though due to being aware how reluctant he usually is towards sharing physical contact, she appreciates that he's been bold here.

She also looks up towards the angelic dragon when the mountain of a man points to her, sharing a pleased and thankful gaze with her. Still though, she kindly and timidly has to decline: "That's sweet of you.... But, ah, the...camping site is practically along the road, it shouldn't take me too long either as I'll recognize the hiding spot for sure. No need to fly there, but thank you for the offer! Even if, I'd rather do so... Eh...." She pauses a bit. "...with Genie... I like her. She does too, I guess."

Another semi-startled reaction from Shiva, now more out of suprise than actual startle though. She perks up ever so slightly upon the mentioning of 'sacred plants' naturally, and grows a bit meek upon being asked for help.

Her response is a bit different than Heart maybe would have guessed, as she begins to rummage in her bag and pulls something from it that she'll offer to PUNisher. "I-incense I usually have with me, both dried and as actual incense sticks. It's good to counter inflammations and pleasant to burn it. You can have these and come to me for more if you like.... Pyres are something...not very neat though as they burnt witches and innocent women on them. I can help you build a small one though and assist in it... A-and help with finding plants maybe." She'd prefer to do that if having a choice, she's just a bit shy to state that openly.

When Nathan brings up Juni's Magic Gauntlet , the steely brawler's face lights up in realization and remembrance, before he reaches down to hastily rummage through his Inventory and pull out one of the Leather Gauntlets the Grunt Scimitars wore.

"Uh......Also collected and kept all Gauntlet from Scimitars that attack us. Did not want them to disappear or police to take them and cause......problems, so took them all for......safe keeping. Would they help in bringing Juni to justice?"

*Flashback End, To the Next Scene!*

Again, Terra was more than a little taken aback by their offer of an Egg by Spira, not only because of its generousness but because he didn't really deserve such a present from the spiritualistic breeder. He's hardly interacted with the man save for saving meals with and protecting them out of reserved shyness and his own worries/anxiety, so suddenly being gifted anything from them, much less a unborn Pokemon, was surprising, to say that least.

Regardless of his shock, though, the sagely monk mulls things over, and with some hesitance he eventually accepts the Pumpkaboo from the archaic gentleman, giving them a slight bow and a nervous smile as he 'Captured it and sent it away to the PC.

"......Thank you for the gift, Spira. .....Sorry if I not say much to you, but......have a hard time speaking with others."

He goes quiet at this point, still appearing a mite bit uncomfortable and unapproachable. At they very least he's not avoiding them outright now, so progress in socialization between the two was being made!

The main reason Terra decided to give her a head pat was because she looked so meek and nervous in that moment, and so decided to make her feel better and more comfortable . Part of his job was keeping Shiva healthy and happy, so making sure her mood was more or less positive was imperative to that end! Furthermore, he just didn't like seeing the mystical lass so rattled, so all the more reason to keep her chipper and upbeat!

He does tilt his head in slight confusion when she politely turned down his offer, but in the end he just shrugged it off and nodded back.

"Okay. If you......change your mind, let me know. Okay? *Beat, then slightly smiles* Yes, she does. Would not get along so well if she did not, or let you ride her if she did not respect you greatly. Strange and.......odd (AKA: unnerving and somewhat distressing!) you two became friend so quickly.......but you did. *Smiles a bit more* Hehe.....you are very special, like Ven said. Wise Woman, Breeder, and friend to all Pokemon. Especially.....magical and nature. And Genie. That is.......fairy good, I hope. Heh heh."

Terra quite obviously wanted to help out with any and all the Eggs, and so naturally agreed to help both the collector and the mystical lass out with the sacred plant collection.

"Will help you find those plants to.....burn for the incubation pyre too. Know what all they look like, and Melly can track their scent, so finding them should not be hard. Can help you build pyre too, if you want. Not good at making a.......proper one, but do know how to make them."

He'd learned by researching different ways to make fires in an effort to find ways to increasingly ward off wild Pokemon from his campsites, to......varying degrees of success. The more you know!

The XP is mostly so you can pick out a few moves you like. Ancient Power is a really good choice because of Hida's age.


As for Spira, Bill has already taken the liberty of hooking you up to the 2017 PC system, to avoid any unpleasant questions.

He's hardly interacted with the man save for saving meals with and protecting them out of reserved shyness and his own worries/anxiety, so suddenly being gifted anything from them, much less a unborn Pokemon, was surprising, to say that least.

Regardless of his shock, though, the sagely monk mulls things over, and with some hesitance he eventually accepts the Pumpkaboo from the archaic gentleman, giving them a slight bow and a nervous smile as he 'Captured it and sent it away to the PC.

"......Thank you for the gift, Spira. .....Sorry if I not say much to you, but......have a hard time speaking with others."

He goes quiet at this point, still appearing a mite bit uncomfortable and unapproachable. At they very least he's not avoiding them outright now, so progress in socialization between the two was being made!

Eeeeeeekkkk!~ Shiva almost evades Terra's outstretched hand out of startle, but eventually calms down and allows him to pet her head and hair a bit. That's a privilege only her dad and Ventus enjoy for the most part - she lets Terra get away with it in this case though due to being aware how reluctant he usually is towards sharing physical contact, she appreciates that he's been bold here.

She also looks up towards the angelic dragon when the mountain of a man points to her, sharing a pleased and thankful gaze with her. Still though, she kindly and timidly has to decline: "That's sweet of you.... But, ah, the...camping site is practically along the road, it shouldn't take me too long either as I'll recognize the hiding spot for sure. No need to fly there, but thank you for the offer! Even if, I'd rather do so... Eh...." She pauses a bit. "...with Genie... I like her. She does too, I guess."

Heart blush a bit and he scratched the back of his own head. "Heh, thank you Terra! It's gonna be a long job to do, since Arcanine alert me there gonna be dangers to face to those who become guardians of Moltres Egg. I also gonna find some sort of "sacred plants" to put in the nightly incubation pyre. Sandalwood. Cedar. Balsam. Spikenard. Olibanum. Resinwood. Gum. Incense. Or sassafras if none of those is available. Gonna need your help in search for any of those plants. And Shiva, since you have better craft skills, can you teach how to build a Pyre?"

Another semi-startled reaction from Shiva, now more out of suprise than actual startle though. She perks up ever so slightly upon the mentioning of 'sacred plants' naturally, and grows a bit meek upon being asked for help.

Her response is a bit different than Heart maybe would have guessed, as she begins to rummage in her bag and pulls something from it that she'll offer to PUNisher. "I-incense I usually have with me, both dried and as actual incense sticks. It's good to counter inflammations and pleasant to burn it. You can have these and come to me for more if you like.... Pyres are something...not very neat though as they burnt witches and innocent women on them. I can help you build a small one though and assist in it... A-and help with finding plants maybe." She'd prefer to do that if having a choice, she's just a bit shy to state that openly.

The main reason Terra decided to give her a head pat was because she looked so meek and nervous in that moment, and so decided to make her feel better and more comfortable . Part of his job was keeping Shiva healthy and happy, so making sure her mood was more or less positive was imperative to that end! Furthermore, he just didn't like seeing the mystical lass so rattled, so all the more reason to keep her chipper and upbeat!

He does tilt his head in slight confusion when she politely turned down his offer, but in the end he just shrugged it off and nodded back.

Terra quite obviously wanted to help out with any and all the Eggs, and so naturally agreed to help both the collector and the mystical lass out with the sacred plant collection.

"Will help you find those plants to.....burn for the incubation pyre too. Know what all they look like, and Melly can track their scent, so finding them should not be hard. Can help you build pyre too, if you want. Not good at making a.......proper one, but do know how to make them."

He'd learned by researching different ways to make fires in an effort to find ways to increasingly ward off wild Pokemon from his campsites, to......varying degrees of success. The more you know!

Heart nod his head with thanks to both Shiva and Terra for all the help! "Thank you. Both of you. These incenses will help a lot to keep the egg warm and safe. With your help we can make a good pyre to put young Moltres to warm good and comfy. I can make the flames with no big problems." Heart snap his fingers to summon a little flame. Ahhhhh if she got that right, the mountanous and steely monk was outright teasing and amusing her right here on the spot, something she would have never really imagined the kind of person Terra is would do. What a neat new side of his despite it quite catches her off-guard, caused her to just STARE at Terra with a blank and suprised expression while her mind progressed things and becoming even more meek. In the pleasant and adorable way however!

She lighty punched Terra into the shoulder before looking at the ground with a smile, which he won't even feel? No I wonder whether he'd feel it if PANGORO would join and punch him, lolz. "You again! I'll let you know, and thanks for the compliments... 'very special', how dear of you. I, eh, do feel it's indeed fairy good, journeying made it possible" ^^

Pangoro has to be convinced to play with Purrloin now, but eventually they get into a game of hide and seek. Gifts help : ) Pangoro is a little greedier than Pancham was.

Humm, watching the panda's personality and behaviour + adding that the evolution came as a suprise, Shiva does feel like she needs a bit of time to get used to smol Pancham being a big and bulky Pangoro now, but also is positive that this won't be a problem. She just needs to adapt a bit and find matching ways to enable him growth and exercise - He'll listen to her in-battle due to more Loyalty than natural Disobediance, maybe having him fight strong and capable foes sounds like a good approach as this will allow him to let his fists speak to heart's content. She'd just have to find such foes, may it be wild Pokemon or Pokemon raised by people.

Her love and liking for the panda is unaltered however, and she somewhat thinks that Pangoro would not think twice about punishing those who either harm his faelike mom or nature! Outrage is a scary move.

Raphael can easily take the PTCs back with minimal risk. He'd be there and back before you reached any destination.

Ah, that means the benelovent archangel s summoned from his Ball in a flash of white light and informed about the task Shiva wishes him to fulfill. "Raphael, dear one.... May I ask you a favour?" *insert his agreement and look of 'I'm all ears!' here, which earns him a kind hug* "Thank you!~ Say, you remember Bill? The place we've been before, the one I asked you to carry mails to. There's one final 'mail' I'd like for you to deliver, but this time you can fly there on your own wings instead of 'flying' virtually.
