Sounds very reasonable.

Quote:Aggression: (4)
While investigating the feather's location, a Gloom happens along! It's not missing any petals, per se, but there are some wounds that look recently healed with human medicine. It immediately takes up a battle stance.

How lovely, the stinky smell is probably the thing Shiva realizes before even seeing that Gloom properly. Naturally she flinches a bit from that but she mostly does so because of the poisonous traits of that flower, at the same time she can't help but to laugh mentally about that ironic coincidence. For a one or two seconds Shiva only stares at the Gloom that came along - then she decides to try something that likely appears very uncharacteristically for anyone knowing her well enough. She's having reasons however:
- That Gloom lives here, it might have seen something that is in relation to the feather.
- How the rays of the sun manifested in a glowing stone 'cure' Gloom of its poisonous aspect fascinates Shiva a lot.
- She can't afford to let a single Safari Ball break.

In contrary to Gloom Shiva does not take a stance of BattleBattleBattle, she even gestures to Lilith and Primal Glaceon to stand a little back - the icy Eeveelution appears very relieved as his sense of smell it much more sensitive than a human's. Raphael's Loyalty to Shiva feels not high enough yet to come darting down the sky to boldly face a poisonous Pokemon without her calling for his aid; towards Ventus he'd surely do. Shiva herself raises her hands protectively in front of herself.

"Gloom, please calm down...", she'll adress it softly but directly, "Please don't attack, as otherwise I have to fire back which I don't want to. I'm having good Ice, Flying, Fire and Psychic moves in my arsenal and come in superior numbers so you wouldn't have a chance, I DON'T want to hurt you however. In fact, I belong to those whose task it is for today to care for Pokemon like you, it appears a human and their Pokemon have attacked you recently and you fled or hid once having enough? Soon, a human with a smiliar cloak like me appeared to heal you up, correct? Look, we're always carrying around a first aid-kit around for that reason." She'll show Gloom the one she's been given for her duties. "So please, don't act in panic towards me and my Pokemon and instead stay, let us talk a little. Alright? You enjoy living here in the area where occassionally humans wander? Say, are you maybe hungry after your recent fight? I've got lots of good berries with me."

It takes Shiva a loooot of will to act the way she does, though she seems to do a fine job on that and appears all well. Her hands tremble a bit which she hides and downplays, she ignores the adrenaline slowly increasing within her.

Quote:If Gloom doesn't kill you, here's what you find:
Rarity: (6) Nothing! You find the fairly common Urlat bush, which can be used to make UltraSnax. You have enough for 3 Snax. Nighsthade finds those; guess she's hungry.

The angelic feathers appears to Shiva as if it has appeared out of thin air, and it either must be 'protected' by heavenly forces in some way or it wasn't laying there for long as otherwise it would not sbe o perfectly intact. The Fortune Hunter will be her next attempt to find out more, Shiva will turn to her once having the time.

She happily accepts the gathered bush branches from her sunbringer - Will it take up a new Encounter for Shiva to prepare 3 Snax from them?

(figured the trick wouldn't work, but it don't hurt to try)
Spira picks up the two Safari balls that didn't break, putting the one with Yanma in a different pocket than the others.
"Say, Angela, that Chansey might be a bit hard for either of us to find alone, so why don't we team up to find it and the first one to catch it keeps it, sound fair?"

"Hmm. Well, alright. Let me circle around, and on the count of three we'll both rush in."

Off she goes.

"One...two..........three!"

What's the plan?

He'll come in from the opposite side she does trying to catch the Chansey in a pincer attack. (also how much xp was Yanma worth?)

Arbok Round 1

Gallade: (4)
Juliet: (2)
Arbok: (3) + 3 Dex + 4 Survival

Attract 1
(3)(6)(1)(4)(5)(4) (5)(5)(6)(5)(1)(4)

Juliet comes out disguised as a bad girl - she looks like Absol, since Nathan isn't currently carrying any (hatched) Dragon-group Pokemon, but Arbok and Absol are both Field.

It works! Arbok falls in love with Juliet!

Empathy: (6)(6)(2)(2)(6)(4) + (5)(3) = 5 successes including a bonus from Attract
Will: (6)(4)(2)(2)(5)(1) (3)(2)(2)

It works. Gallade stays well back, not wanting to give the impression he's a threat. Arbok climbs up a tree to watch you deal with the scary Parasect, and Julietsol stands guard underneath the tree to keep him calm.

Shiva:

Gloom doesn't act afraid of you, but it doesn't attack if you're not bringing out a Pokemon. He shakes his head about the Rangers healing him, but he acts realllly interested in the first aid kit. He stretches his little arms out and waggles them in its direction.

Gloom does reach its arms out to take some of your berries and gobble them hungrily, which I imagine makes Shiva's adrenaline spike even more. Gloom lets its drool dissolve the berries.

Crafting just about anything nice takes an Encounter, but you can certainly make a whole batch of Snax in one Encounter.

Humans can eat UrlatSnax but the texture is unpleasant. Works best on herbivores or maybe mineral Pokemon.

Yanma was worth 8XP, and trainer gets half of that.

Your pincer attack makes it very hard for the Chansey to escape during the first Round.

Let's see who gets there first:

Angela: (2) + 5* Dex + 5 Survival = 12
Spira: (4) + 4* Dex + 2 Survival = 10
Chansey: (1) + 2 Dex + 4 Survival = 7

Angela gets first toss.

Angela Safari Ball 1
(2)(1)(3)(1) v (5)(1)(1)(6)(2)(1) (6)(1)(1)(5)
However, that Safari Ball breaks.

Spira Safari Ball 1
(4)(1)(3)(4) v (3)(6)(2)(1)(2)(1) (5)(2)(5)(6)
That Safari Ball breaks too.

Chansey peeps and begins a strange process of shrinking in size!

Minimize 1
(6)(1)(1)(5)(6)(5)

Angela makes a toss with her other hand.

Angela Safari Ball 2
(4)(1)(5)(4) v (4)(1)(1)(4)(4)(3) (6)(4)(3)(1)
Her Safari Ball breaks.

Spira Safari Ball 2
(4)(3)(6)(4) v (5)(5)(5)(3)(1)(6) (5)(1)(4)(5)
Your Ball breaks.

Chansey tries to flee. You get +2 on your attempt to keep it here, because you're working in tandem with Angela from opposite sides.
Chansey gets to apply Evasion, I think that's fair and logical.

Flee 2
(6)(4)(2)(5)(4)(6)
Pursuit will involve Dex + Survival + Athletics
(3)(1)(4)(5)(4)(4) (2)(5)

Chansey doesn't quite get away, but she gains a lot of ground on you two.

Safari Zone - Heart 2

You enter Zone 4.

Aggro: (6) Zone 4 is peaceful, having seen a lot of Trainer activity recently.
Rarity: (6) Like Shiva, you don't find anything very rare. To the south you see a Cubone, brushing aside the Tall Grass with his club. To the north you see a Venomoth, about to launch itself from a shrub. You only have time to pursue one. The choice is yours!

Heart stop to think its options and decide to not pursue Venomoth or Cubone. "I only have a few hours around here. I need to make account." Heart free D-Onix. "Onix, we have little time to the other trainers find the best Pokemon. Use Tailwind so that way we can go foward to Zone 5 and find something interesting before anyone. The more dangerous and more rare."

Perfect!  Alright, looks like it's challenge mode time.  Gonna have to catch that Delta Parasect without using Juliet to spread status galore.  Good news, though: it means I don't have to ask for D-Parasect's gender right this moment Tongue

Now then, time for phase 2 of this encounter!

Out comes Grid once again, and Solomon gets to join him this time!  If we can't use Attract and Confuse Ray to spread status quickly, we'll just have to spread other statuses instead!

First off, since Delta Parasect is sleeping, is it going to be possible to ambush it and get a preemptive strike?  If so...

Stealth Check!
Stealth: 6* Dex + 3 Survival + 2 Stealth = 11 D6
Versus: Insight + Survival + Alert

Grid's Ambush move is Thunder Wave.  Solomon's is a Confusion in an attempt to inflict at least -1 Pain and maybe Confusion.

Thunder Wave
Acc: 12 D6
Eff: Paralysis!

Confusion
Acc: 12 D6 again
Dmg: 4 + 2 + STAB = 7 D6 base

And would it also be possible for Nathan to attempt to join in on the ambush as well and follow up on those attacks with a Safari Ball?
