-The black cat burglar gives you a thankful smile at first for your permission to his siesta, then it flipped right upside down when you laid out how screwed he was if he antagonized/kept antagonizing your turbulent tyke. He continued to stare at her with an carefully blank expression for a bit, before he glanced back to you and slowly nodded.

"......Noted, and understood. It's not my fault she's scared of me, or who she thinks she is, but.......I'll mind my manners around her. *Mutters lowly, crossly* 'Cause I sure as hell don't need another god gunning for me, one way or another. *Raises Voice, Waves* Well, see ya later partner."

That said (and only you hearing his mutterings), he left, letting the door snap shut behind him. Hope appeared thoughtful as she watched the scary kitty cat go, but your request towards her interrupted her mussing with a startled *Chirp!*, before she gave you what appeared to be an innocent look, but felt vaguely......schemey and guilty.

-Hope seemed honestly surprised about you having a name other than Daddy, *Chirping!* first in alarm, and then eager, curious excitement!

-The doc doesn't even look up as you divulge the background of Little Bro and Big Sis, but you do see them nod their head in time with your explanation as he continues to scrutinize and assess their condition with the same kind of focus you'd typically find in actual medical professionals. So you know they are listening to you, and may perhaps actually be a medical professional in some odd way.

Eventually, they finished their examine with a decisive nod of their head - which was good, for Poe was starting to become uncomfortably ticklish! - before they looked up and walked over to you, pulled out what looked to be a Lemonade, and place it right beside Hope (Who *Chirped* in slight shock and shivered as the cold bottle pressed against her skin). Cathy then pointed straight at Brother Dearest, mimed a drinking motion, closed their eyes and nodded, warbling......something, then.......walked off back to Taylor's side, who eyed her doc and then you with fond amusement. You feel as if you were a part of some joke, but you don't get it.......unless you do, but not now. Ugh......
Brr.....Cold, Cold! Daddy, Please Take Away Cold!!

- "Nods* Okie dokie, smokey! *Shrugs* Yeah, me neither.....*Looks hesitant* .....weeeell, I do have a Pokemon that can maybe clear this stuff away, but......I rather not do let them do that unless I need too. You'll.....see what I mean when you meet them, in or out of battle."

Well, if that isn't foreboding....

As for your suggested rules, she had zero problems ALL with them, choose Singles as her battle format of her choice, and had nothing really more to add pertaining to the rules of engagment. "I can do either Doubles or Singles just fine, but I'd prefer us not trying to dogpile on each other's Pokemon before we can see what they can really do. Or showing off, in my case, heh!"

Lastly, the barometric birdy looked sullen at her Daddy and Grandmommy tag teaming her out of what would have been her first fight, but she eventually warms up to the idea of seeing you two duke it out at full force, letting out a positive *Chirp!* as her imagination ran wild with said clash.
Right! Me Take Slow, While You And Grandmommy Go Fight Fast Fast! Like Godspeed....Extreme Speed! Oh, And Godspeed For You, Daddy! Godspeed, Godspeed!!!

Eventually, Mr. Mime returns with Kingdra/Lucy and returns them to their respective owners (You first, of course), and when either you ask him about cleaning off the battlefield, he just gives you/her a nod, then focuses on all the mess with firmness, before he started to act out cleaning the field up.......and it happened. As he 'swept' and 'tidied up', all the equipment was scooted off the arena as if by magic - or, as you and your old partner could tell (in your own ways), through skillful application and manipulation of Psychic, Telekinetic, and Barrier powers. This butler is packing some neat tricks up his sleeves.....

With the battlefield's clearance, you inevitably found yourself standing on the opposite end of it from Taylor, who was giving you a challenging smirk and twirling Lucy's Pokeball around on her pinky finger.

"Welp, I guess its about time we threw down the gauntlet and had a good old fashion and fun duel.......with a few twists from us, naturally. Heh heh.... In case you couldn't tell what my first choice will be, I'll give you four hints, and the first three aren't counted: it my girl! Now, let's see yours Reiner! Get ready, cause I -!"

Reiner's Alert: (2)(4)(4)(2)(3)(5)(3)(5)(2) - 2  Pass!

She abruptly  cut herself off and threw ' her girl's ' ball out at lightning speeds, in a ploy to give her Pokemon an boost in Initiative! However, you were able to spot the tell tel signs and predict what she was trying to do, and therefore threw out your choice of Pokemon earlier to counter that underhanded play! Nice!

As it could be easily inferred, Taylor's choice of Pokemon was Lucy, who upon materializing immediately let out a LOUD, booming roar that sounded exactly a mix between a Dragon's battle cry and a thunder strike! A Dragonstrike, if you will. 

In a matter of seconds, the sprinkling system activate and began pumping out vast quantities of water that was instantly converted into big, billowing, and black storm clouds that hung ominously overhead the arena, the occasional rumble of lighting and arcs of pure Electricity seen lighting up the nimbi. What's more, The Stormbringer was floating several feet off the ground, as if being propelled up by her own electromagnetic might! 

Thunderstorm Weather is in effect! Surprise! Triggered: Magnet Rize has been used instantly upon release, rendering Lucy Immune to Ground Moves for 4 Rounds!

Initiatives:

Reiner's Choice (Guess who....): DEX (4) + Survival (3) + (6) = 13

Lucy goes first, and then whoever Reiner sends out. Gee, I wonder who that will be.....

Reiner Vs Taylor Battle Round 1 is about to start! Hit the music, 'cause its showtime!

- "Promise."  And that's all that really needs to be said about that.

- "Snatch ya later, Weavile."  Hope's schemey and guilty reaction as Weavile leaves definitely briefly raises an eyebrow from Reiner, but there's no reason to scold Hope for anything (yet)...and hopefully there won't be in the future!

- When Cathy hands Reiner the Lemonade and Hope starts shivering, Reiner's definitely wondering what the heck Taylor finds so funny.  Hope asking for the cold bottle of Lemonade to be taken away does get a prompt response, though, as he does just that.  Reiner then kneels down by Poe.  "Far as I can tell, it seems the doc's orders are for you to drink this Lemonade.  Makes sense to me, to be honest, since you're tuckered out and all."

As Taylor talks, Reiner can tell what she's planning, even though he's also still paying attention to what Taylor is saying.  That mischievous glint in her eye, that eagerness to get started...

It's exactly why Reiner has his hands behind his back, and Kingdra's pokeball clasped in them.

And the exact same moment that Taylor throws out Lucy's pokeball with surprising (but not entirely unexpected) speed to try and catch Reiner off guard, he's thrown Kingdra's pokeball onto the field as well.

Taylor hadn't been counting on Reiner to be able to both pay attention to what she's saying and what she's doing.  And that's why he chuckles as soon as Kingdra appears across from Lucy, trumpeting a battle cry!  Yes!  This is exactly what she'd been waiting for!  If there's any one pokemon of Taylor's she wants to show off to tonight, it's Lucy!

"Not the first time I've had to react in a split second when my opponent decides to stop yammering and start attackin' this week.  Hehe.  Good try, though.  Alright Kingdra, let's set up and show 'em your new tricks!"

Another trumpet from Kingdra!  Let the battle begin! And what a battle it looks like it's going to be when we have initiatives like that!

A Good ol' Fashioned and Fun Duel: Field of Hopes and Dreams Symphonic Remix by Symphonic Brush

Taylor had seen a bit of it earlier, but now it's clear in full that Kingdra's Ability is NOT Sniper!  As the Divine Water that's around Kingdra's neck glows with a subtle light, her movements become more fluid, even though the weather isn't favorable for it!

Swift Swim is active, bumping Kingdra's initiative to 15*!  We have an initiative tie, and Kingdra's speed would be doubled in the games, so I guess that means she's now going first?  If not, she will be soon enough!

Kingdra's intent on putting on a good performance as she gracefully slides across the battlefield, ready to show off the power and might she's acquired over the last 4 years!

Her Strength so great, so focused, that not even Reiner fully knew what move she was about to use...as she rushes forward, her Draconic power threatens to bowl over everything in her path...

And for the finale of her performance, she'll show everyone just how strong her bond with Reiner truly is (though Reiner makes sure to give Poe sufficient warning about the impending booooooom this time if he happens to still be out, as Reiner knew Kingdra was going to want to use DM ASAP)...the move that Reiner worked so hard to teach her no matter what obstacles there were...the brilliant, orange light of the explosion the final proof of how strong and close they are...

Even though it will give her a handicap for the remainder of the battle, for once, Kingdra's not wholly focused on winning the battle.  She wants to show Lucy and Taylor just how far she's come in the last 4 years, and that's all.  And what better way to do it than by showing them her most powerful, rare attacks which Clair's Kingdra and potentially even Jeff don't know yet?

[And as a fun fact, much like Clair's Kingdra, Lance's Kingdra doesn't know Draco Meteor in the games either.  Not that his Kingdra seems to need it, as he only ever uses Kingdra against the strongest of challengers in the games, those who have already proven themselves to be Champions. The only times that's happened is when Red rematches the Elite 4 in FR/LG and when Lance visits the PWT. Yup, not even Ethan faces that Kingdra when he rematches the Elite 4 in HG/SS, though Lance does have a Garchomp and an Altaria in that battle that he doesn't use at any other time.  Lance also uses a Seadra and a Charizard instead of his original 2 Dragonair in Let's Go, but that can be considered a weird exception to the series since Let's Go is definitely an alternate universe situation.]

And if her last hurrah ends the performance early...well, then she'll just have to put on an even better show for the next combatant since she's still going to be on the battlefield, won't she?

- The turbulent type let out a grateful *Chirp!* as the cold Lemonade was removed, and Little Bro had no problem guzzling down the sweet and tart beverage with a gusto (With help, since he didn't have any hands to hold the bottle). Soon after, he's back to his 'spirtely' self, clambering back to his feet and pouncing on your leg to give it a hug, letting out a thankful "Eevee!" as she did so. Aw.....so cute!

Again, Taylor raises an eyebrow at your triumphant dragoness' unexpected fleetness, and Lucy was surprised that for once somebody actually out speed her, but in the end she doesn't let it deter her girl from planning how she was going to impress them!

Kingdra pivots in places and blazes forward again, hoping to capitalize on her friend's fall to REALLY show her up! For their part, they let out a undignified *Squawk!* and tried to roll out of the way!

Pulling herself off the ground and huffing with frustration (Bah.....what a foolish mistake....she'll have to practice that Move more latter), she decided to channel it the absolute best way she could: VENTING IT CONSTRUCTIVELY. Which, in this case, involved drawing forth her pure Draconic power from the depths of her being and firing it out her snout like a living howitzer! *Boooooom*

Lucy, figuring out that her fellow dragoness was not going to be stopping her assault anytime soon, stood her ground bravely against the Ultimate Dragon type Move! She was done with dodging, and is going to start fighting back now. The thief extraordinaire , on the hand, was not taking it nearly as cooly, biting back a startled curse of "What the -"(Since Hope was watching from somewhere; on a similar note, Poe was recalled earlier to avoid be terrified half to death) as she watched the glowing orange projectile barreling towards her girl....

The Stormbringer was nearly blown up and swept into unconsciousness by the nearly almighty power of her friend searing into her, but she gripped onto the area with her razor sharp talons and weathered it valiantly! She then fixed them a with a cocky and defiant grin, before she threw herself into the air and ROARED.

For a moment, the whole Training Room blacked out, as the sheer amount of pure and unfettered Electrical Power blew all the lights out and triggered the circuit breakers. Soon, however, the emergency lighting and backup generators kicked in, returning power to the room and bathing it in a dim, orange glow. Glass rained from the ceiling for a few seconds, and smoke emanated from the ruined fixtures and feed straight into the storm clouds, darkening them even further. 

When you regained your senses, you saw Lucy panting and hunkered slightly lowered to the floor, while Taylor was standing tall and now was wearing what appeared to be a thick pair of wielding glasses, which she subsequently took off casually like it was no big deal. And Kingdra......she just looked scorched all over, her skin looking burnt and charred all over with static sparking off it, her inherent Draconic Resistance to Electricity no match for the sheer power she was flooded with. Yikes.

"*Smirks* I see your Kingdra's Draco Meteor, and raise you Lucy's Thunder! Caught me off guard twice with your girl's Moves, but I beat your bottom Poke my girl gave you a shock, eh? 'Nuff chattering from me, though! Lucy, stand up straight and give your friends a encore! "

Hearing her mother loud and clear, the crackling crow pulled herself up and let out another bellowing ROAR that immediately put everyone on edge....

THUNDER 2
(2)(4)(5)(5)(4)(1)(4)(6)(4)(2)(2) Kingdra is consumed by the surge of Electricity and thoroughly fried to a living crisp, a process which she regretfully couldn't remain conscious through as she collapsed, her body stiffen and rigid from said electromagnetic force. 

Power nor lights went out this time, but they did flicker a bit. Looks like the A.V.'s compensating overtime for Lucy's ruinous shenanigans. 

The scent of seafood wafted through the air for a short bit before you recalled the zapped sea drake, your old partner giving you an especially cheeky and smug grin after she took off her wielding glasses again. 

Meanwhile, Lucy raised her head and crowed jubilantly over not only her near victory, but from the gratifying and exuberant feeling of Fighting at her full unchecked power against a worthy challenger. Man, she hadn't got to cut loose like that in years, and it felt great. The fact she beat her friend and reasserted her title as 'Best Dragon' between them just made it all the sweeter to her, *Caw*!

"And the winner is.........Luuuuuucy! Another victory over your girl, just like old times. How nostalgic, heh heh heh! *Sigh in satisfaction, then gives you a more respectful smile* Still, Kingdra gave my girl a dang good thrashing, and it was such a close match that I didn't think she'd make it for a bit, so kudos to your too partner. Our girls had a ton of fun too from what I can tell too, so......no hard feelings? *Shrugs* 'Sides, my girl's on her last legs, so it shouldn't be hard for another one of yours to finish the job they started. *Chuckles* Doesn't mean we're to throw in the towel now, though! We're in this until the bitter end! Right, my girl?"

*Caw!* Rumble Rumble.

"Heh Heh, hear ya loud and clear!"

Reiner rolls his eyes, but there's still a smile on his face.  Yup, as expected, Taylor's quick to get super energized whenever her pokemon manage to triumph over a tough opponent (you can mark that down as a quirk that Reiner finds amusing about Taylor).  "Hehehehe.  Just like old times indeed.  Well, not quite, given that Kingdra has a whole host of new tricks, but it's good to know some things haven't changed.  Shame Jeff isn't gonna get to show off to Kingdra in this battle, though.  Not sure if I should just chalk that loss up to bad luck or her unfamiliarity with all the new strategies she was trying to use, to be honest.  Ah well.  Far as I can tell, she's not super mad about it, so...phew.  Kinda strange, though...usually, she'd be infuriated by getting humiliated like that...not that I think she would have taken it out on anyone in this instance since it was Lucy who beat her, but...hmmm..."

He puts Kingdra's pokeball away for now, then pulls out a Great Ball.

"Alright, time to do a little cleanup.  You remember how I used to talk about Inari and my mother's research all the time, I'm sure.  Well, it finally paid off.  And my mother just so happened to be kind enough to share the results with me.  May I introduce to you..."

Reiner sends the Great Ball spinning onto the battlefield.  The form that emerges is sleek.  Low to the ground.  Four-legged.  All expected from an Eeveelution, of course.

But then the details start to become clearer.  As the pokeball's light fades, the pitch back scales become visible instead of the characteristic fur of the other eeveelutions.  Long, sharp claws adorn each foot.  The tail is long and thin.  The eeveelution's ears lay flat as she snarls, ready for battle.

"...Ridia, the Savage Wyvreon!  Over two decades of research have gone into this, and I'm happy to say that the results were more than worth the wait.  Care to help me test out her new strength?"  *chuckles*  "Not that I think Ridia is going to give ya much choice in the matter, now that I've released her."

Reiner makes double sure to get Poe back out of his pokeball as well (cuz need to make absoultely sure that Ridia's Disobedience is lowered to 3)

"Ready to cheer your sis on from the sidelines, Poe?  It's time for her first battle as a Wyvreon!  Ridia, time for a little cleanup!  Dear old Lucy here just bested Kingdra, but only just barely."

Ridia assess the situation, noticing that that the Dragon in front of her definitely looks like she's on her last legs, and is crackling with electricity, the booming Thunderstorm only augmenting that...but also being centered around said Dragon as well.


She snarls again in response to Reiner's orders, and before Lucy has a chance to blink or realize what's about to happen...

"*Nods* Yeap, that's the cloud in the silver lining for us. Jeff would've been totally thrilled at the chance to meet his old sweetheart, and we both know he wouldn't pass up the chance to showboat and tease her silly...or angry, more like. *Chuckles* He's worse than Lucy is sometimes, I swear! *Laughs at the mention of luck* Luck had no part of my girl's victory, Reiner! *Spreads arms wide* Only her OVERWHELMING POWER, her determination to win, and a few mishaps on Kingdra's part, heh heh!"

When you brought up how calm your normally raging dragoness was, Taylor gave you a confused/funny look.

"Huh? Kingdra's still got anger management issues? Could've fooled me, since she's seemed just Pecha keen from all I've seen her, but you know her better than me partner. Guess this fight must been a real treat for her then if she wasn't blowing her top like an upset Camerupt, huh?"

Your answer concerning Dragon Rush EX simultaneously cleared things up for and intrigued her, judging by her mood and slightly upraised eyebrows.

"Huh indeed......interesting. Looks like your girl is more special than the average Kingdra, *Chuckles* though given where she came from and who raised her, that isn't much of a surprise."

The thief extraordinaire slowly raises an eyebrow at your seeming non sequitur, then look somewhat taken aback as she heard you out in full. "Yeah. How could I forgot you yammering about it, and asking me if they was anything I turned up that could help Evolve an Eevee into a Dragon?  *Looks surprised* Wait, what? You meant to tell me your ma actually - "

She was cut off when you summoned Ridia, her debut and unmistakable Draconic appearance leaving her openly stunned, while Lucy's eyes widen the sight of her fellow dragon kin and felt herself back away from them when she snarled like an some savage demon. Both trainer and Pokemon like had the exact same thought as they studied her: 'Holy shit, that's one mean Dragon!'

While the two women were too busy being stupefied and cautiously cowed by the vulpine dragoness (Who'd seemed to get more and more viscous and intimidating by the second!), you had plenty of time to summon Poe to the sidelines and brief him, and to your complete lack of surprise he was jumping for joy at your request. He quickly scurried over to the outskirts of the arena and right beside Lucy (who'd you placed there to watch the Fight, and was watching it with strangely quiet intensity), and started raising his paws up in the air and letting out excited, joyful "E-E-Eevee, Eevee!"s  of support for his Big Sis! You can do it, sis! Take down that feathery noodle, and take your first win as a Dragon!

Before Poe came, Ridia was a veritable nightmare. Her ears were splayed back against her skull, her eyes were narrowed to the point of near verticality as she glared holes into her DRAGON opponent, all her scales bristling as their color rapidly changed from ultra dark blue-black to an vivid blood red crimson, her teeth bored in a almost impossibly sharply fanged scowl that dripped violence like a leaky faucet, and her big Tough Claw carving dents into the floor as she hunched down, ready to spring forward and carve into her opponent! 

Without a shadow of a doubt, she was ready and WILLING to have her very first battle as a Wyvreon, almost - no, definately to the point of excess. A Savage Wyvreon lived and breathed to Fight, and that urge was causing her blood to boil at the sight of her Draconic, wounded foe, telling her to stop waiting around for her partner's orders, and just charge forward to rip and tear them to -!

After Brother Dearest came out, she quickly took notice of him and rapidly, her savagery and blood lust deescalating drastically as she heard his cheers and perked up, before she turned around and gave him a much more friendly grin, *rrrowling* out her thanks. She then faced her foes once more, doing exactly as you described and no longer acting like some demonic wolverine from hell. This change of temperament was also reflected to the rest of her body too, her scales going from crimson to a whispy blue-gray and eyes/ears going back to normal, as if she never was about to do horrible things to her opponent. Wow, what a mood whiplash!

Taylor and Lucy were stunned by the sudden change of Ridia going from 'Monster Dragon' to 'Friendly Drake', openly goggling at her before they forced themselves to regain their cool, with your old partner shaking her head and standing a bit straighter , while the Stormbringer stopped shrinking back and leaned forward to glare at the Dragon Fox Goddess, rumbling out a cry of defiance.

".....For a second there I thought I'd have to recall Lucy and send out Royce to beat her off, but it seems like she's settled down now that her....brother's out. Narwly......Wyvreon you got there, partner. Must be one heck of a beast, if the way she was acting earlier was any indication. *Smiles* Seriously mad props to your ma for discovering this Dragon Eeveelution, for it sure as heck looks mighty, fierce, and mighty fierce!"

 *Frowns thoughtfully, with concern....and with caution* 

".....Are they always like, though? Without somebody acting like a.....I dunno, a restraining bolt for them? If so, I don't envy her at all, or what ya have to do to keep her from shredding everything in sight or from boiling pissed. Yeesh, what a Dragon......*mumbles* one that I don't want to own - way too unruly for my blood. Only someone like my partner tough and is ballsy enough to handle a Pokemon that nuts."

*Stops Mumbling, and points straight at you*

"Alright, enough of us being Torchic livered! Lucy, blast Ridia into next year!"

More that ready to head their command, the electromagnetic dragoness readied herself to do just that, and take down that wolverine dragon!

Then, before you or anyone else could respond, a dark red and smoky like aura surrounded Ridia, before she reared her head back and *RRRRRRRWWWWAAAAAAARRRR* to the storm cloud above, causing them to burst apart and completely dissipate instantly, much faster than usual! Ridia's Disobedience shoots to 5.......before dropping back down to 3, due to Poe still being out, whose's startled by this turn of events but strangely (or not) not frightened by them (his love and trust for his Big Sis must be indomitable, or something). But its clear to you that getting her listen to your orders is still going to be a nightmare now, for the Dragon Fox Goddess is fully embracing and revealing in the darker aspect of her divine nature (AKA: Loyalty Rolls will still be preformed at 3 Disobedience).

Its also abundantly clear to you she's not going to back down anytime soon until she's Fainted, or she has defeated every last one of Taylor's Pokemon, which makes recalling her all but improbable at best and an invitation to being attacked at worst.

Oh boy.....now you know what Fluidity felt like when this happened to her.....

Speaking of the thief, she looked downright scared as she stared at Ridia aghast, before her expression darkened into a severe frown as she recalled Lucy, and with a smooth flick of her wrist brought out an Great Ball of her own.

"Okay, guess Royce is going to beat some sense into this Dragon of your's after all. Sorry about that, partner."

Her eyes never left the wolverine dragon as she casually spoke that aloud, before the next thing you know her Great Ball had hit the field, opening up with a flash and revealing.......

Well, I give ya that second place in the initiative, but let's not forget Ridia's +1 Initiative Surprise!  Means her Initiative is 14!  (Still, though...three (6) results in a row for the Initiative?  Hmmm...)

Everything was going as planned.  Lucy was caught off guard by the unique pokemon she was facing, Ridia was getting psyched for her next opponent...



...and then the DDD happens (which happens to increase her Initiative to 16).

For his part, Reiner narrows his eyes at Ridia.  His words are stern.  "I better not see you inflict any Lethal wounds on your current opponents, Ridia."

At Taylor's comment, Reiner sighs.  "...honestly, I don't blame ya.  You're gonna need to go all out to beat her as she is now.  The Savage Wyvreon my mother took research notes on KOed almost the entire company of eeveelutions wielded by the Kimono Girls, including the Sylveon.  They are not to be taken lightly, even if they aren't using their full power...and especially when they seem to have gained more power than expected.  She's still freshly evolved, so making sure she doesn't overdo things too much is definitely still a work in progress.  Poe's been a great help with that, though, and is the main reason I even considered using Ridia in this battle in the first place. I didn't quite think events would play out like this, though...if things get out of hand, we'll just have to take action accordingly. I've had the...'pleasure' of facing this strange effect myself earlier today already...not quite sure what causes it, to be honest...it certainly doesn't seem to be specific to any particular kind of move or pokemon since I saw it affect a Tsareena's Bulk Up...unlike that other trainer and the Tsareena I faced earlier, though, I think Ridia will listen to my orders to some degree...trying to recall her is probably a bad idea right now, though." It's an analytical, but wary response...



When Reiner sees the Scizor, he nods approvingly.  Good.  That means Ridia's most powerful attack isn't gonna do squat to a Steel type.  And taking an opportunity to use a Bulk Up is going to be a necessary move on his part if he's going to stand a chance of taking down Ridia quickly.  (though Scizor can't normally learn that move...and using SD might have been a better choice in the long run...hmmmm...)

Ridia is probably about to teach this Scizor a very painful lesson, though.  A Tough Claws user is not one you can try to stand up to defensively in this campaign.

Taylor doesn't have much to say in response as you elaborated on what a SW is truly capable of, as her expression tightens and her stance becomes even more on guard.

At least, for this week. When I can, I'm buying you the the strongest luck charms I can afford, just to counteract your's best as possible. 'Cause your luck is just downright schizophrenic, and it needs to be put on meds 'fore it does anything more crazy, hard as that is to believe. That can wait until later, though. Now, I have a borderline blood thirsty Dragon to take care of, before it wipes out half my team or more."

The ninja bug doesn't Flinch or even seem all that phased by Sister Fiercest's Bite, and coolly wrenches them off and tosses them back to their side of the arena, where she landed with grace and snarled at her foe, blue-black metal fragments gleaming in her fangs. Both Pokemon were starring each other down, one reproachfully and the other wrathfully, and tension in the room rocketed straight to the stratosphere. It was, to put it light, not a very comforting sight to bear witness to.

The ninja bug doesn't Flinch or even seem all that phased by Sister Fiercest's Bite, and coolly wrenches them off and tosses them back to their side of the arena, where she landed with grace and snarled at her foe, blue-black metal fragments gleaming in her fangs. Both Pokemon were starring each other down, one reproachfully and the other wrathfully, and tension in the room rocketed straight to the stratosphere. It was, to put it light, not a very comforting sight to bear witness to.

Reiner simply shrugs when Taylor asks why he evolved Ridia into the Savage variant.  "Because Ridia's a brawler, this is the evolution she chose, and I made sure to stress that she shouldn't give in entirely to her savage instincts before I evolved her.  And the evolution quite suits her, honestly, nor are her savage instincts usually this...potent.  Interestingly, the only reason Inari evolved into the Noble variant was due to it being a completely accidental discovery, despite having a personality very similar to Ridia's.  Risks of groundbreaking research and all that.  Inari would have probably preferred the Savage variant, to be perfectly honest.  The Eevee that ended up evolving into the Savage variant actually belonged to one of my mother's friend's, apparently.  It's rather ironic, all things considered.  And of course, the Elders wanted to know how my mother had done it when she finally puzzled out how to evolve Eevee into Wyvreon.  You can probably imagine how that went for them, though."  Reiner chuckles.

As for Taylor's second string of comments...

Reiner sighs in response to those.  "...you don't even know the half of it, Taylor."  And that's all Reiner has to say about that for now.

He coolly motions to Ridia. While he is prepared to put a stop to this himself if he has to, he doesn't think she's out of control just yet...

The aura surrounding her faded shortly thereafter, and her formerly wild and RAGING expression soften to something almost.....peaceful. Poe stops cheering/watching the battle at that point and races over to check on her, leaping onto her chest and prodding it as he started sadly/with worry at her. Big Sis, are you....alright? Please, be alright......

Subsequently Rocye's eyes closed too as he drifted off to Sleep, no longer able to ward off its clutches with his unbending conviction. At the very least, he took out the demon dragon fox before it wrought havoc on the rest of his Master's team and his companions, so he could rest easy.

For her part, your old partner just shook her head and let out a great big *Sigh* of relief, before giving you a wane smile.

"Welp, all's well that ends well, eh partner? Heh heh.....doesn't feel much like a win and more like I barely dodged a Bullet Punch from Royce, but I'm still glad she's taken care of. *Shrugs* Still, Royce is snoozing and almost on his last knees too, so its not good for me too. *Shrugs* Going to keep him out, though, since even though I know he's toast to whatever you send out, at least I'll get to see what brute you'll release so I can counter it *Snap!* just like that. So, let's see what else you got!"

Royce is at 2/10 HP, Sleeping, and has + 1 Defense/Sword Dance EX Buff. Initiative is 13.

Reiner's clapping.  "Excellent showing, Royce.  Looks like Ridia needs to work on showing her superiority a little.  Hard to back it up if you end up KOed for the trouble of showing off.  Still, I'd say she still put on a fine performance for her first battle, even if it was a little...wilder than I was expecting."

Reiner kneels down to ruffle Poe's fur a little, which is hopefully comforting for the little guy.  "I think she's going to be okay.  Let's just hope she doesn't lose herself entirely to those instincts again, right?  Thanks for your help with keeping her in check.  That would have probably been a lot worse if you weren't around.  Mr. Mime will make sure she gets proper medical attention once we're finished with this battle."

Once Poe's been reassured, Reiner stands and gets out his next pokeball.  "Two of my Dragons down, 4 more pokemon to go.  Let me introduce you to my third Dragon, one I personally picked out from the rabble that was offered to me when I first got my new job."

Reiner sends the pokeball spinning onto the battlefield, where a long, unmistakably serpentine form emerges.  The large hood, the Intimidating patterns on the hood, and the purple coloration unmistakably mark it as an Arbok.  A familiar sight for all citizens of the Tohjo regions. (Kalosian and Alolan citizens, too, though the snake and cobra pokemon aren't nearly as common in those areas as they are in the Tohjo area. In addition, sightings of Ekans and Arbok in Sinnoh are very rare, but not unheard of around the marshes)

And said Arbok immediately hisses, primed for battle, ready to show why Arbok are so feared by all but the most skilled of trainers.

"Arbok, you have an easy target.  Take him down, then prepare for your next opponent while you have the advantage.  They're fast, and we can't switch, so we need to be tough and ready for anything."

Arbok is more than happy to comply, as his maw becomes wreathed in flames to roast that bug that's napping on the job!

Little Bro does seemed mollified by your kind words and pats, and gives you a sad but understanding nod of his head. Yeah, she can get a little rough and wile, but she still his Big Sis, and he loves and trust her with all his heart. One day, she'll settle down to her old self, but until then he'll be right there by her side, cheering and supporting her all the way, and making sure she doesn't do something she'd regret.

He (Poe) does request to be put back into his ball, though, as he's not in the mood to watch your battle anymore, bar you Ordering him to actually support your Pokemon (In which case he's willing to do).

Taylor takes one quick look at Arbok as its summoned, and cursed softly to herself, before giving you a wry smile.

"Well, that's a big ol' brute, alright. Going to be tough wearing down such a healthy looking snake, but I got a few tricks up my sleeves that just what might be what the doctor ordered, heh heh...."

"*Smiles sinisterly* Cathy, meet Arbok. He's your latest troublesome patient, a Poison type, and pretty solid all around, so feel free to bone up all your medicine techniques on him. And I do mean all of them. They're all prepped up too, so they're ready for your procedures. Have fun~"

.....before they calmly turned back to the snake, reached into their robe's and pulled out some sturdy looking and fingerless surgeon's gloves and put them on with an elastic *Snap*, and quietly warbled something to the slithering serpent and they stared into their eyes. Something that had his slited pupils suddenly widen in fear and scoot back, no longer looking entirely confidant after his easy victory over Royce.
