[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Empathy: (5)(5)(1)(3)(3)(4) + (4) = 4 successes including a smaller bonus from Attract. That's asking rather a lot of a lover you've just met!
Will: (2)(1)(1)(5)(4)(4) (6)(6)(5) Arbok just gives Juliet an affectionate lick and begins slithering off, much more calmly.

Oh, I forgot a move on Delta Parasect's known moves: Roar.

Drat, I was kinda hoping that would work since a mostly obedient Arbok would have been amazing to have in the tournament.  Oh well.  Nathan shrugs and waves Arbok off.  At least he didn't have to battle the large snake pokemon, so that's always a plus since it saves on resources. And at least Arbok didn't seem to be running from anything more than a wild pokemon, so that's also a plus since it alleviates some of the worry that some kind of significant and dangerous event might have been occurring.

Welp, guess we'll have to keep looking in Area 6 for some strong (and possibly rare) pokemon that hopefully aren't too Disobedient!

How much exp was the Arbok and D-Parasect set of encounters worth, btw?

Terra doesn't have to say anything for Basteele to leap forward with a thud and an angry expression, determined to beat this frog senseless and make'em croak! She'll take her victory out of its hide, whether it likes it or not!

For his part, the sagely monk only nods approvingly at his bold bombshell vigorous response, before he calmly relayed his orders.

"Basteele, Zap Cannon on froggie, but don't kill with it, then use Bug Bite if you hit them before."

Order: Basteele will rev up and blast the froggie with Zap Cannon, then finish them off with Bug Bite if ZC hit; otherwise, she'll use Zap Cannon twice. 3 Pokeballs will be used in the attempt to capture Politoed, followed by 1 Great Ball if those fail. Its time to cook some frog legs, with Cheft Basteele and Terra!

Moves

Zap Cannon
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (5) + Channel (3) - 5 Accuracy - 2 Actions = 3D6 Dice
Damage: STR + 5 + SE = 10D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: Auto Paralysis on hit!

Bug Bite
Accuracy: 11D6 Base - 3 Actions = 8D6 Dice
Damage: STR + 2 + STAB + Silver Powder = 9D6 Base Damage
Effect: If Poly has a Berry, they won't for much longer after this Move eats it!

Safari Zone - Nathan 3

Aggro: (2)
Rarity: (6)

Stompstompstompstompstomp. A trio of Doduo comes pounding down the track, pecking at everything in sight. They're driving a Tauros ahead of them, separated from its herd.

Safari Zone - Heart 4

Heart has a -1 exhaustion penalty, and it's getting a little dark and spooky in the Safari Zone. All around, people are putting up campfires, laying detection traps, and putting up the few kinds of bait that are legal. (one of Shiva's jobs tonight will be searching for the illegal kinds of bait.)

Heart enters Area 6 from 5 directly.

Aggro: (1) A Vigoroth drops on you from a tree.
Rarity: (1)(3)(5)(5)(3)(4)(6) - 6 rarity! Very nice. You find TWO Kangaskhan, one barely out of the pouch and another fully grown.

Heart was very tired after such long adventure though the Safari Zone. He pass though all day with going after some kind of rare Pokemon. But then he found something neat. Not just one, but two! "Neat! Now thats something wortly to capture it! Gonna capture both of them! One I can trade later and the other...I might keep for myself! Onix! Gustav! Go foward you two!" Heart then send his flying rock serpent and his cannon crab. Heart see the Vigoroth who drops from a tree. "I dont want to fight against you Vigoroth. Please go to another place. I dont want to fight you, but if you insist in stay...my two Pokemon its strong enough to strike you down." Heart also make a demonstration to summon a flame in the palm of his hand. "I not also defenseless so leave us alone Vigoroth."

Politoed Round 1

Politoed: (5) + 5 Dex + 4 Survival = 14
Basteele: (1) + 7 = 8

Politoed leads with a Perish Song!

Perish Song 1
(4)(3)(5)(6)(2)(1) (3)
All affected Pokemon will faint in three Rounds!
Perish Song does not normally affect Trainers, unless they are in very close proximity or if the Pokemon is particularly strong. We're talking Primals and other very special Pokemon here.

Zap Cannon 1
(1)(2)(4)
(3)(6)(6)(5)(5)(1) Politoed takes 5 dmg 2/9hp -2 pain
Politoed became paralyzed

Politoed pretty much instantly gives up after that mighty attack, but he'll try to Hypnotoad Basteele to make his getaway clean. Problem is, he doesn't have enough dice!

Bug Bite 2
(6)(5)(4)(4)(5)(6)(6) Critical hit... He's dead, Jim.
(2)(1)(2)(4)(4)(5) (6)(2)(5) Politoed faints.

Forretress steals and eats a bit of pondweed Politoed was carrying. It was wrapped around a tiny, tiny piece of the mineral which forms King's Rocks over time.

Pokeball: (6)(2) v (1)

Gotcha! Politoed was caught.
0/0/0
Water Absorb
0 XP moves, Swagger, Hyper Voice, Mud Shot. Rain Dance, Belly Drum, and Body Slam from being a Poliwhirl.
Politoed has the ability to sniff out Kings Rocks nearby.

Intimidation: (5)(2)(4)(4)(5)(5) (1)
Will: (1)(2)(2)(4)(5)(4)(1)

Alright. Onix's shadow looms over Vigoroth, and the sloth changes his mind and slinks away.

Onix gains 1 point of Loyalty. He likes feeling intimidating and strong.

Initiatives:
Clauncher: (4) + 8 = 12
Teen Kanga: (3) + 4 Dex + 3 survival = 10
Onix: (1) + 8 = 9
Old Kanga: (1) + 3 Dex + 5 Survival = 9

(Now I can understand why Windos like so much Intimidation! Still gonna leave that stat to him since Windos is a more intimidate guy than Heart. Also Iron, Gustav its a Clawitizer not a Clauncher.)

"That will teach you." Heart dismiss the flame in his hand and pet the head of D-Onix. "Great job Onix. Now, lets wrap those Kangas now shall we?" Heart then send his orders to both Onix and Clawitizer. "We must finish this quick as much possible guys! Gustav, boost your cannon with Swords Dance! Then send some Muddy Water in those Kangas! Some 3 times might do the trick! If one of the Kangas is fainted, use Aura Sphere as the remained moves! D-Onix! Your Armor give you some boost of defense so use that at your favor! Summon some strong winds with Tailwinds to boost the speed of both of you. Then use Bind in the Old Kanga. Then use Chatter two times!"

Swords Dance Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Perform (2) - Exaustation (1) - Actions (4) = 6D6
Effect: Increase STR in two stages.

Muddy Water Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) + Tailwind (2) - Exaustation (1) - Actions (5/6/7) = 8D6/7D6/6D6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (4/6*) + STAB (1) = 8D6/10D6
Effect: D3 to reduce foes accuracy. Its also hit ALL foes.

In case one of the Kangas faint, Gustav will focus instead in Aura Sphere in the no fainted one. Base accuracy is more or less the same since its never miss but damage would be:

Aura Sphere damage: Power (3) + STR (4/6*) + Mega Launcher (2) + SE (1) = 9D6+1/11D6+1
Effect: Never miss.

Tailwind: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) - Exaustation (1) - Actions (4)  = 7D6
Effect: Increase user and allies Dex.

Bind Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) + Tailwind (2) - Accuracy (2) - Exaustation (1) - Actions (5) = 5D6
Damage: Power (1) + STR (4) = 5D6
Effect: Block the foe and cause 2D6 of damage in each end round.

Chatter Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Perform (2) + Tailwind (2) - Exaust (1) - Actions (6/7) = 7D6/6D7
Damage: Power (2) + STR (4) + STAB (1) = 7D6
Effect: D3 to Confuse the foe.
