Safari Zone - Nathan 3

Aggro: (2)
Rarity: (6)

Stompstompstompstompstomp. A trio of Doduo comes pounding down the track, pecking at everything in sight. They're driving a Tauros ahead of them, separated from its herd.

So that's 7 exp for Nathan, and then 14 to split between Juliet, Grid, and Solomon...let's see here...think Juliet's going to get 5, Grid will get 4, and Solomon will get 5.  They all put in a fairly even amount of work there, all thing's considered.

Well, it's not particularly rare, but a Tauros IS quite strong.  Doduo aren't too bad either, to be honest.  Now then, time to catch some pokemon!

Grid's Nathan's first choice in this scenario, followed by good ol' Juliet once again!  Those two are seeing a lot of action today, that's for sure.

Grid's got some simple yet complex orders: trap 'em all with webs and Paralyze that Tauros once the Doduo are sufficiently weakened!

Electroweb 1
Acc: 6* + 3 + 3 - 1 + 2 CE - 4 Actions = 9 D6
Dmg: 2 + 4 + STAB (+ SE) = 7 D6 base (+ 1 damage against Doduo)
Eff: -1 Dex for all (which should hopefully help minimize the damage a little when coupled with the Pain it'll inflict on those Doduo)
Note: hits Tauros and all 3 Doduo.

Electroweb 2
Acc: 6* + 3 + 3 - 1 + 2 CE - 5 Actions = 8 D6
Dmg: 2 + 4 + STAB + SE = 7 D6 base (+ 1 damage against Doduo)
Eff: -1 Dex for all (which should hopefully help minimize the damage a little when coupled with the Pain it'll inflict on those Doduo)
Note: hits Tauros and all 3 Doduo. If those Doduo keep pecking at Tauros, though, then we might have to restrict this second one to just hitting the Doduo.
Note: If the Doduo are all already at -2 Pain after the first use of this move, use Spider Web instead.

Spider Web 2/3 (just in case those Doduo are going to try fleeing once the electrified webs have started flying)
Acc: 6 + 3 + 2 - 5/6 Actions = 6/5 D6
Eff: Traps all the wild pokemon as long as Grid is out!
Note: If the Doduo are already at -2 Pain and trapped by Spider Web, use Thunder Wave on Tauros instead

Thunder Wave 3/4 on Tauros
Acc: 12 - 6/7 Actions = 6/5 D6
Eff: Paralysis!
Note: If Tauros is already Paralyzed, use it on a Doduo instead if any are left.

Juliet's orders: Attract on Tauros, then Hypnosis, followed by Confuse Ray!

Attract~ 1 on Tauros
Acc: 6* + 3 + 4* - 3 Actions = 10 D6
Eff: Tauros becomes infatuated with Juliet!  (who's probably disguised as an Absol once more since we're doing Field egg group stuff again)

Hypnosis 2 on Tauros
Acc: 6* + 3 + 3 - 4 - 4 = 4/3 D6
Eff: Sleepy time for Tauros!

Confuse Ray 3 on Tauros
Acc: 12 - 5 = 7 D6
Eff: Confusion!

Once those Doduo are at -2 Pain, Nathan's got some Safari Balls ready to try and catch 'em!  We'll throw 'em once the Doduo reach -2 Pain.  The idea is to try and catch the bird pokemon mid Round so that they A) stop hounding Tauros [who I'm less concerned about since Attract and Hypnosis might do a good job of keeping Tauros immobilized] and B) can't do as much damage to Juliet and Grid over the course of the Round.  Speaking of which...

I think it's about time that 30 exp was spent to increase Nathan's Vit to 4, increasing the Defense and HP of all his pokemon and himself by 1.  Nathan's been through a lot, and we've been facing a lot of opponents with 4+ Strength lately, so it's probably helped him and his pokemon to naturally toughen up a little!  No better teacher than practical experience, right? And it means Juliet now has 5 Defense with the Eviolite equipped.

Upon hearing the haunting wail of Perish Song, Terra immediately perked up in alarm and gripped Basteele's Ultra Ball tighter. His Pokemon in the past had been on the receiving up of that Move and those like it, and he knew well that if he didn't return his partner quick enough she'd be out for the count - not even her Sturdiness would save her from that insidious serenade's effects....

Thankfully, his ironclad insect was able to dispatched the troublesome toad in with great expedience, and he after retrieves the weird but familiar minerals he recognized (Survival Skill comes in handy here!) she's safely put up and he easily captures the Fainted froggie and sends them off the PC. Not before he checks out its summery, though, which certainly caused his eyes to widened in interest as he studied it.

"This.....Politoed has great potential. *Nods* Will keep them. We will become great partners, and friends. *Mumbles* Hm.....need to research more about them too, so I can......train them right...."

All that declared, the sagely monk carefully cleared away the Spikes/Rocks from the water's edge (No need for them to trip up Wild Pokemon/Unlucky Trainers!), and then heads back to the communal center/marketplace to do the following: Buy 7 Pokeballs, 1 Great Ball, and 5 units of that Better Quality Bait, for a total cost of $4500 Poke, leaving him with $18300 Poke remaining. Those BQB's are just down right excellent at what they do (Hopefully they can be bought elsewhere than TV), and I need to restock on Pokeballs for future catches!

That being done, he'll then head off to the Center and rest for the night, as unlike Heart, Nathan, or Shiva he doesn't have any obligations that would keep him up past the usual sleeping hours! Passing the day fishing turned out to be an excellent, enjoyable, enriching (What with all the interesting and valuable Pokemon he'd caught), and easy going, so the mountain of a man considered his day truly well spent. What will tomorrow hold, though.....

"Hmm... Not sure if this'll work, but I'll put my trust in you, go Mero, use Curse on the Chansey to lower it's resolve."

Mero's action, if curse works on Chansey (if not, proceed with the binding plan, if it does work, bind will be replaced with Mean Look)
Curse:
Accuracy: Canalize 3D6 (had to look quite far back to remember the substitution here)
Notes: adds snake-eyes to rolls of opponent at cost of half of HP.
If above action succeeds:
Mean Look
Accuracy: 9D6
Effect: Block

Heart, fainting is not allowed in the Safari Zone. Withholding is automatic. Do you want to change your orders at all?

In that case, I say to Gustav hold the strengh of the attacks enough to faint any of those Kangas and I try to throw a Ultra in  Old Kanghaskan and 2 Great Ball in the Teen One. Also, instead of using Swords Dance, its gonna be another Muddy Water.

Gloom spots your angel feather, and points to that.

Sounds resonable and comprehensible, will follow that.

Now to Shiva and Gloom:

???????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!! Smol Gloom hinting that the precious angelic feather's the reason why their wounds are healed so neatly catches the empathic fae woman rather off-guard, but not at all in a negative way: Her quizzical and curious expression slowly develops into a guessing 'Got you!~'-smile for the grassy 'mon; before her inner eye a variety of the wildest and most colorful throughts starts to flash by. She cannot know for sure whether her guess is correct or not, but she thinks to see things a little clearer now.

Now, she also got MUCH more interested in this particular Gloom. What a nice twist~

"That feather....? O.... Oh, that's mine, nope, miiiiine! MY treasure, you hear? >o<" She protectively clings to the feather (just firm enough to not damage it), holds it a bit away from Gloom but is still sporting that smile. She can be lucky that this species of Pokemon is also a partial Grass Type as she'd be pretty innocent about how to properly allure and tame a pure Poison Type - it'd go much against her attitude that the Pokemon in question would very likely even notice it's not meant honest and therefor not bother to agree to an offer. Gloom however... Gathering her courage and calming her nerves by a deep breath, Shiva continues: No fear is visible in her eyes behind the glasses. "But listen, dear one... Would you be interested in coming with me maybe? You can surely hold that feather a bit if you like then. If you behave, you can even have it. My various other Grass Types would rejoice to meet you, and I would rejoice as you'd be something special - have I fled from your infamous bad smell so far? Would I?..." She shakes her head. "Nope, I would not. Because I know the drool being the source of that smell is valuable, plants I'd grow will thank being fertilized with it. I will thank if you'd be to show me your luckychanting when the moon has risen high, A wonderful technique, isn't it? ....More berries, by the way?" Rummaging a bit in her stuff, Shiva places one Safari Ball in front of her and offers more food to Gloom in her cupped hand, they aren't trembling.

Immune Pokemon can still be affected by Status moves, with some exceptions at GM discretion. So I'll let you Curse Chansey.
This time, Angela waits until you make your move before she snipes Chansey with a Safari Ball.

Obedience: (-) v (5)(3)

Mero refuses to use a move that will harm itself.

Angela looks suspiciously at your collection of Gym badges when you fail to control your Pokemon. She also flinches whenever she looks at Mero's horrifying visage.

Angela's Safari Ball 1
(6)(3)(4)(2) v (4)(1)(6)(6)(2)(6) (5)(4)(1)(2)
It breaks.

Spira Safari Ball 1
(2)(6)(2)(5) v (6)(4)(2)(1)(6)(3) (2)(1)(4)(4)
It breaks.

Angela releases an Igglybuff, which runs up to Chansey and distracts it. When it gets close enough, it plants a Sweet Kiss on Chansey!

Sweet Kiss 1
(6)(3)(2)(4)(5)(3)(3)(3)
Chansey became confused!

Chansey starts singing at Angela.
Sing 1
(4)(5)
Angela fell asleep!

Insight of 6*: (5)(3)(6)(5)(5)(4) Angela wakes up immediately. Immediately she is back on her feet. "Big mistake, Chansey..."

Angela Safari Ball 2
(4)(4)(3)(6) v (1)(3)(1)(1)(1)(5) (6)(5)(4) Wowwww that was close! The ball doesn't break, but Chansey does get out.

Spira Safari Ball 2
(4)(1)(5)(4) v (1)(5)(1)(6)(3)(4) (3)(5)(2) Another close one! The ball doesn't break but Chansey gets out.

Copycat 2
(5)(2)(3)(6)(3)(4)
Chansey fell asleep!

Insight: (3)(2)(5)(6)(6) - 3 collected successes.

Bind: (5)(4) Chansey takes 2 dmg 6/9hp -1 pain.

Chansey now has -3 on its Will checks!

It's pretty rare to entice an aggressive Pokemon within the Safari Zone to join you, but there is reason for this one to happen!

Empathy: (1)(4)(3)(3)(2)(5) (4)(6)(5) - 5 successes
Will: (1)(3)(3)(2)(1)(6)(6) Gloom Holds a Potion from your first aid kit and taps the Safari Ball until he (or she) is sucked inside!

Gotcha! Gloom was caught!

2/2/2
Chlorophyll
0 xp moves, poison powder, giga drain, lucky chant, natural gift, Petal Blizzard.
If Gloom ever meets the original owner of the angel feather, he/she will instantly learn Charm and Moonlight for free.
