It doesn't actually change anything if we only subtract dice, Windos, but standard Skill Swap actually uses Perform as its specialty, not Canalize/Channel.  Would've been 2 fewer D6 in that accuracy roll for Cathy's Skill Swap since Taylor only has 3 Perform.

If only that first die hadn't been a success...I still feel like these dice are laughing at me sometimes :/

Oh! Well, I completely forgot about that! .....Not that it helps you much right now, but I'll start double checking Moves so I don't use the wrong Specialties for the for now on.

The dice are not laughing at you, for I made dang sure of that much. Rhyxemplar's still not out of the game yet, though, even though he's been significantly softened up, so don't give up hope yet! Hope wouldn't like it if you did that!

I'm not giving up hope, just kinda...slightly burned out, to be honest.  Not to the point where I'm finding it difficult to post, though.

In any case...I think it's time for 'you know what', now that Rhyxemplar is facing a proper Dragon.

Man. That is bad. But I can related with Taylor. In a friendly battle, it is very much unfair use such one hit moves. Even more if you have high dex.

I can relate with that when Reiner summon Rain Dance with eletric active. Not to mention let Arial choose if choose if the battle could continue be Single or Double battle.

Yeah. I guess so. And that a thing of the past so lets not bring that topic.

Not really any big reasons to continue.  While I could have continued with Rhyxemplar and attempted to do chip damage with Stomp and other Normal type moves (I probably would have had to crit with them to be able to do anything), things were just getting a little too grindy/unnecessarily serious for my/Reiner's tastes in the case of this battle.  Yeah, Reiner was throwing some pretty big pokemon at Taylor, but she was actually doing quite well, all things considered.

No regrets about Horn Drilling Jeff, though.  While I very well could have just ground it out a little and done some chip damage to him before going into Frosslad/Rajin to exploit their methods of dealing large amounts of damage to him, I really wanted to display how...overzealous Rhyxemplar is when facing actual Dragons and pokemon in the Dragon egg group.  While he was willing to use Horn Drill on any one pokemon in Taylor's repertoire, I specifically wanted him to use it on a Dragon.

At the end of the day, the purpose of the battle was to showcase some of Reiner and Taylors' pokemon, and that's what happened.  Not quite how I imagined it would go, and there are definitely some pokemon that could have been in the spotlight a little longer, but I'm generally happy with the result.



I will also say that I wasn't really planning to use Rhyxemplar, though.  If Cathy hadn't been such a massive pain in the rear end for Arbok to deal with, I woulda just used a different pokemon entirely.

Mates, I have to head to bed, since my classes start tomorrow and I have to be well rested for them. Going to take a break from the Game Thread in order to work on breeding some Pokemon for the WTE too, so posts are not going to be all that forthcoming for awhile until maybe Friday and more likely Saturday. That's that!

So @Dragonstrike, will Reiner continue the battle or did he give indeed? To be honest I would not mind delay a bit more. Deadly battle and all it's still scary the hell of me.
