A cold wind settles over the beach as Alolan Ninetales appears! White sparkles fall all over the battlefield. She tosses her head. All her fur is perfectly kept.

Grid: (6) +11 = 17
Alolan Ninetales: (5) + 10 = 15

(Have a few questions for you, Iron

- Why did Diggersby hit itself with Super Fang? Dunny used Wil-lo-wisp on them first, not Confuse Ray, so unless the buff bunny was Confused before hand, then SF shouldn't have procced on it, still giving it full HP. The reason I'm so keen on this is that with less Pain their Loyalty/Happiness increases [as it has been mentioned, sometime ago...], enough to where even - 1 Pain may given him at least 1 Loyalty [and almost definitely if Absorb would have only dealt 1/No Damage].

Of course, they get 1-2 more Will Dice to resist capture, but that literally doesn't matter, since even if they got 2 Success they still don't beat Terra Safari Ball Roll. I just want to know if retconning SF's Damage is possible, so that Shiny Diggersby could be more Loyal due to a lack of Pain.

- XP for the Encounter? My guess is 4 XP to be divided between Michael and Dunny, since the battle didn't turn out so hard for them/Terra.

- Its still Encounter 1 [Well, the end of it, anyway] for Terra, right? If it is, that means I don't have to worry about responding to Heart's message until later on, and can still explore the S.Z. for the full day instead of cutting it short!)

Other than getting a bit battered by the mudslide (Something he was almost unphased by, were it not for that one rock smashing into his shin - ouch!), catching the Shiny Diggersby proved to be an easy and uncomplicated task for Terra and his partners, causing his already eager expression to break out into a triumphant grin as he pumped a fist to the sky as he called out to Mikey/Dunny!

"Great job, my friends! Both of you going to get extra special treat for this later, promise!"

The mushroom of champions was quick to mirror his gesture with equal zeal and gusto (Orah!), while Dunny just quietly basked in their achievement and their partner's praise with a look of satisfaction and an air of vindication (Take that, Normal type). Both of them were happy doing what they were best at (thoroughly debilitating their opponents, then blitzing away at them), but the extra kudos from their mountain of a friend made it all the sweeter!

Once their min celebration was over, Terra went over to collect and send Shiny Diggersby to his PC (only pausing to look over its summery with raised eyebrows and a small smile of appreciation at what he seen), before he decided to continue exploring the current part of Area 6 that Geo lead him too (Henceforth called 'The Safari Heartlands' by me) for more Rare/unusual Pokemon. After coming across a Shiny Pokemon on his initial foray into the scarcely touched wilderness, the rugged wanderer was all too intrigued and excited to see what else it had to offer, or what secrets it held.....

5 Dex, 6* Insight, and 5 Survival?  Bring it on!!! Nathan would be shivering from the cold, but he's simply too excited about this battle to do so! This looks like it could be the toughest Gym battle yet! The hardest one in the region, even!

"Whew, you look fast.  Not as fast as us, though!  Capitalize on that while you can, Grid, and watch out if they attempt to use Hypnosis!"

Thunder Wave 1
Acc: 13 - 4 = 9 D6
Eff: Paralysis!

Electro Ball 2, 3, and 4
Acc: 13 - 5/6/7 = 8/7/6 D6
Dmg: 2 + 4 + STAB + ElectrIzer + 3 Dex advantage = 11 D6 base

Conditional Evade: if A-Ninetales uses Hypnosis, then attempt to evade it!
Evasion: 13 base

Another conditional order: if T-Wave misses, Safeguard is used before A-Ninetales is paralyzed, or the paralysis is cured, then instead use Electroweb until it hits, then follow up with Electro Ball for all remaining actions (it'd have a damage pool of 10 D6 base in that case).

Electroweb 1, 2, 3, and 4
Acc: 13 - 1 Acc + 2 CE - 4/5/6/7 = 10/9/8/7 D6
Dmg: 2 + 4 + STAB + E = 8 D6 base
Eff: -1 Dex!

Nathan's also saving his one Potion for the time being.

(Happy Unovian cat of darkness is a good Unovian cat of darkness. It itches me so much to create a birch basket myself now, if I only could collect some bark directly from a tree instead of buying some online. :C )

It's incredibly adorable for the natural fae enthusiast to see Purrloin curling up in the freshly-crafted basket, as she gently strokes over the cat's purple fur and some calm purring comes as a response, Shiva knows that the cat appreciates the gift a lot. The two spend a few minutes just enjoyng one another's quiet company.

As the sun raises higher and higher and Shiva's and her Pokemon's shadows become longer and longer, Nightshade opens up her petals more and more as she gets more and more comfortable on her sweet Master's shoulder. She practically cuddles into her strands of hair and doesn't need a spoken order to empower the sunbeams with her sunniest move of all whenever she feels like doing so.
Smol Spritzee soon comes flying over to her Master and mother as well, the pinkish bird gracefully lands on Shiva's finger and lets out a pleased chirp as Shiva gifts her a fond and playful smooch on the beak. In return for that Spritzee enwraps the near area in that sweet romantic scent she usually wafts, Shiva notices that it has become stronger by now. She likes that scent a lot not only because it reminds her on Ven - how dear it was as the pink Egg hatched right then when she and he were having breakfast in their shared room!~ - but she's also wondering, almost worrying, what will happen with that scent if Spritzee evolves into that Tandorian evolution of her faebird. That herb does emit quite a strong smell itself, she notices as she draws it from her stuff - what was the evolution called again however? Uh... It was starting with an M, enabling Shiva to find it relatively quickly in her Almanac. (What can the Almanac tell about Miasmedic, Iron?)

One way or the other, being surrounded with small and dear faries here in Mother Nature's figurative arms with a Spritzee acting as a vivid perfume bottle, Shiva gains +1 Allure for 12 XP. I guess if she reaches 5 in that Speciality she could attempt to charm male opponents to decrease their ability to battle or manipulate them into doing what she wants, similar like intimidating an opponent? It'd fit her personality. It has to be outplayed to call a roll and the target has to be somewhat susceptible for it.

Soon all of Shiva's current Pokemon on hand have come for a cuddle session, even Gloom - he's still a bit hesitant towards Shiva and the Fairy Types but some sort of ice has been broken between them all as being in the partial Poison Types' presence appears more natural in comparison to earlier. Shiva feels that something's still missing however, turning towards Cottonee and Gloom with an almost bold expression. "So, you two...", she softly adresses them, "Cottonee my dear fluffball, you belong to my most capable fairies - are you up to test your skills a bit towards Gloom here? No no, not in an actually fight, more like a friendly spar between siblings of the same litter. Means, I will not give you orders, neither to you, Gloom. Try to think for yourselves. For example, you can attempt to p... poison Cottonee with Poison Powder and the moment you figure out what Gloom's up to, Cottonee, you can blow that powder away from you with a well-place Fairy Wind. Or you, Gloom, can lure Cottonee into safety with a Petal Blizzard and then strike at the right moment. Everything's allowed, please try to use the surrounding for your advantage! It's not so important who wins, it is more important that you learn something. I'm keeping close to observe and intercept if needed."

With these words, Shiva retreats a bit to lean against a tree again. What Cottonee and Gloom will only realize once beginning: They're both powered up by Nighshade's unique Ability; Gloom's also much faster than the fluffball due to Chlorophyll. Cottonee however, is stronger and is under the effect of the Ethereal Ribbon as Spritzee's currently wearing it. Shiva will notice an effect of the ribbon I've thought up as the grassy fae and grassy toxin battle.

Mechanics:
Friendly spar between Cottonee and Gloom under Nightshade's powering-up, it's meant as a Training Session for the three that'll use up Shiva's 2nd Encounter Slot of the current in-game Day. Spirit, I'll get to your phone message in a small flashforward in a seperate post.

Shiva would get Heart's message and picture as she has already packed all her stuff together and was just checking the time on her cell as she was about to head back into the townside of Teazel Valley alongside her Pokemon. She was in a calm and relatively good mood, but as she went through the message - that was when her expression hardened and developed into a serious and worried one that looked a bit out of place on soft her.

It didn't take a minute to send a reply to Heart saying that she'll be there in a few minutes, Shiva accelerated her steps as the local Pokemon Center came into view: She has a bad feeling about this happening and a strong one telling her to bring Lilith with her. (Party after switching a bit at the Center: Cottonee, Lilith, Helios, Nightshade, Spritzee, Gloom + the Eggs.)

With Helios and Lillith siding her, Shiva appears at the scene, few meters away from Heart only. She has NOT witnessed that prophecy Natu made but the sight of Xatu instead of Natu tells her a lot already. She turns towards the PUNisher with a questioning look. "Heart, good to see that you're doing okay. Thank you for reaching out towards us others. But... WHAT in Reshiram's holy name has happened here? Have you seen or heard anything? Your Natu.....!"

Does Gothy react in some noticable way towards the scene, @Iron? Can Shiva with her highened senses 'feel' something as well?

Spira checks his dex to see what's going on, and when he sees the message from Heart concerning the destruction in Cress, and gets ready to see what happened in person.

Oops, that's my bad. I just glanced at your orders where you had listed Confuse Ray first, even though I actually rolled out WillOWisp as request. Go ahead and bring him up to 2 Loyalty.

6XP to be divided.

Yes, this was the first encounter.

Geo leads you now into the heart of the Safari Zone. There is a cavity on the town-facing side of the hill's roots, and that same side of the mountains themselves has been worn smooth by some ancient geological event. You also spot the now-familiar sparkle of Meteoric SuperConductor. Geo points out gentle trenches and hummocks in a line streaming away from the cavity. "Scientists think these were caused by some disaster long ago which created our gentle valley. Maybe a sudden flood, ultra powerful Pokemon attack, or geologic disaster. They think it might have something to do with the very strange assortment of Pokemon in the Safari Zone, thousands of years later. Safari Zone Pokemon are different than even the Pokemon a couple miles away in Teazel Valley or the plains, despite similarity of habitat."

"I led you to this crater thing because strange Pokemon are attracted to it. I recommend we search around here for the rest of the day, if you'd like to see something odd or rare that isn't normally available. If you're tired of catching Pokemon, we can spend a couple hours gathering this shiny flower. It's called Deyo and it has interesting/valuable medicinal properties."

Aggro: (5)

Rarity: (3)(2)(6)

Hovering over the crater you see a Lunatone, under attack by four Staryu. It's desperately trying to dodge the streams of Water Gun or hide behind psychic defenses. Lunatone is hard to find in the wild, outside of ancient mystical places. It's not renowned as a battler, though.

Nathan's next pokemon is Charmeleon!
