Shiva vs Heart Round 3

Both combatants know it will come down to just one key hit, so both reserve their focus for a small number of attacks!

The vivid wad of cotton takes some unsuprising delight in her draconic foe panting from exhaustion and pain, she can't wait to deliver a final blow!~ She must have overdone and rushed it in her last action probably.

The spot where the Ethereal Ribbon has touched her still feels curiously warm, she can make out that the sensation wanders. Quickly her whole body has been grasped by it! She didn't fight it though, let it happen, welcomed it even as it's fueling her. The battle against a Nido under Angela's mindful view and the past challenges reason her gaining +1 Fight Skill at last at the cost of 16XP. (Shiva's fightingstyle is still not the trainertypical battlebattlebattle style but more a stylish and graceful one with her often mimicking her Pokemon's movements. Some elements of tai chi are also visible.)

"You only need to HIT to defeat the dragon my dear, don't show any weakness now! More breezes full of fairy dust into Koa's face, please." The illusionary ribbons wave heavily as Cottonee launches to attack.


Heart was very focus, along with Koa. They both could see the wounds inflicted in Cottonee power cottons. Heart smile. "Yeah. I think we both screwed old friend. This reminds me of the Little Cup." Koa nod his head. "But...we going forward no matter what. Like we always do. Are you ready?"

Koa smile. With one last battle cry, both Koa and Heart go foward, despite the disadvantages. "Dragon Claw!!!"

Koa with the rest of his strength, summoned the biggest and strongest Dragon Claw he ever made, and run towards Cottonee ready to deliver his final attack! Winning or losing a dragon stand proud!


That's a great strategy. It all comes to the dice now.

Before Cottonee even noticed what happened and while she was just about to take pride in having slain the mean dragon once more, Shiva is picking her up and pulls her into fond hug, kinda like in this cute pic. She can only barely feel Cottonee's actual body, it feels more like embracing a huge huuuge cotton swab but it's so incredibly soft and fluffy!~ The illusionary and ethereal ribbons loosely wrap around the pair before they disappear into tiny glowing sparkles. "Very well done, my dearest. VERY well done. I told you you have to come with more than Mold Breaker, Heart, haha! =^v^= Good battle though." Shiva appears very proud of having finally defeated a group member.

Heart chuckle with Shiva reaction. "You know I am honest with emotions Shiva. That makes a tie between us. I win once. And you win today. Next time we battle, will be in the Pokemon League. In the battle against the Elite Four. Koa shall be a Haxorus in that time. And Cottonee gonna be a Whiscott when that time comes. He will be a Fairy Slayer when the time comes."

Heart approach Shiva and offer a hand to shake, as a symbol of respect and also friendship. "But today, victory is yours. Great job!"

Nathan defeated Gym Leader Angela!

Victory against the Leader!: Victory VS Gym Leader - Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen

First things first, Nathan brings out Starmie!  "Starmie, I need you to help extinguish these flames real quick with your Hydro Pump!  Can't afford to let them spread!"

Second, Nathan walks over to Calam and gives him an appreciative pat on the back.  "As I said, Angela, Calam and I have been through a lot.  However, he's definitely been through more than I know about currently.  He puts that experience to good use, though."

Nathan takes the unused Sitrus Berry from Calam and hands him back...what Angela would almost certainly recognize as a Mega Stone of some kind, given that she has a rare Gardevoirite herself!  Nathan then turns back to Angela.  "I'm actually hoping to be able to use that soon, but I don't yet have a way to trigger any of the Mega Stones I have on hand, so..."  He shrugs.  "...swapped his held item to something that he could actually use if I needed to bring him out.  I'm sure I'll either get a Key Stone or find an alternative method to trigger the Mega Stones I've found eventually, though.  Just gonna have to keep on truckin' in the meantime."

Nathan takes the ring and slots the badge into it.  That's a ring and a badge he'll proudly wear!

The Toxic TM...is met with a little less enthusiasm, but hey, free stuff is free stuff.  Nathan isn't super picky for the most part, and a status inflicting move that almost any pokemon can learn definitely has its uses...

And that secret?  "I'll meet ya there this weekend for sure.  I take it you'll be training at the outskirts of the town?  Having a rough location to look in would be helpful."

Unfortunately, this happy moment isn't going to last.  At the exact same time, Calam and Gallade both feel a cold chill travel down their spines, as they both sense that something is about to happen...they turn to look each other as if to confirm that the other felt it too...then turn to look at Nathan, who looks puzzled for the most part at first.  "...uh, is everything okay, you two?"

And then Nathan's Pokedex buzzes.  He pulls it out and checks it...

...it's a text message from Heart.  And given how Gallade and Calam just reacted, Nathan isn't sure it's good news...a little reluctantly, he opens up the text...

An Unfortunate Occurrence: Growing Anxiety - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky

People, Heart here! I in Cress City, and something happened here: A whole block here in Cress City have been leveled, problably by some kind of Powerful Pokemon responsible for that attack! There are cops investigating the place. If any of you guys can teleport or fly here, please come as quick possible!

Heart also send a picture of the place to show where is the place its in chaos and Nathan might reconize as the block Nathan uncle lives.

At first Nathan just blinks in surprise as he thinks out loud.  "...wait, what?  An entire block of Cress was just...leveled by a pokemon?"

He looks a little closer at the picture, trying to find any context clues that might tell him WHICH block Heart sent a picture of...it takes him a few minutes, but he eventually figures it out.

And when he does, he looks shocked and goes as pale as a certain Ghost type mushroom pokemon.  Oh no...is that really the street he thinks it is?  If it is...

Angela has a little time to react herself since Nathan's currently trying to process this.

Oh. Heart's chuckling only made things worse for the natural fae enthusiast. "Stop laughing!!", she answers brusquely before leaning into Cottonee to sulk in discomfiture for a few minutes.

Things change drastically quickly though, Shiva's joy and delight over the victory take over in sync with Heart's words. "The Elite Four.......", she mumbles dreamily, as if being very unsure whether she'll be able to face them at last but just as eager as well. Cottonee floofs up a little more as if being confident that under Shiva's command, she will fight the Elite Four's Pokemon, yes!!~

As the PUNischer approached and offered a handshake, Shiva stared at him for a moment before breaking into a joyous and sweet smile. Cottonee used that moment to shed a big part of her cotton (she's now back to her normal size and Vitality) and place it as a decoy hat onto Shiva's head. :> "You did a great job as well though!", she speaks up upon taking Heart's hand, "Mold Breaker's surely useful if outplayed well. Take care when Koa evolves onto a mighty Haxorus, but.... but I think you'll be able to handle their agressive nature well enough. Isn't it sweet and curious that something as big and powerful like a Haxorus can't harm a tiny Flabebe with its STAB usually? ^_^ " ......."Oh! Speaking about it...", she comes closer to whisper to Heart, "How's our legendary bird's Egg actually doing by now, fine?"

Playfully, when Shiva reached out her hand for the handshake, Cottonee puts one of her leaves onto the Pokeball of Koa to pat it once. 'Defeated you, dragon, hah!! But you did well against me indeed', she means to say.

I think I capable of handle a bigger dragon. If we luck, we might find a Whisconite in the future. I heard Tandor discover a Mega Stone to Whiscott. Shame a Haxorusnite doesn't exist, but hey a guy can dream right?"

"Our Egg doing okay. Always making the pyre to keep him warm. I have the sacred plants with me, but still need make the pyre of today. Could you help me?"

Nathan's voice is a little shaky.  "The bl-block that was destroyed in Cr-Cress...i-it's the same one where K-Keni Morgusi lives...and m-my uncle...th-their houses...th-they're...n-nothing but r-rubble..."

Nathan quickly sends a text to Spira, Terra, and Heart once that's sunk in.

On my way.  Sending Gallade to pick up Spira and Terra.  Meet him at the Pokemon Center in Teazel Valley, you two.

Then he puts his pokedex away, trying to remain calm, but only partially succeeding.  "...sorry I need to cut this short, Angela, but...I need to go.  Now.  I...I need to make sure my uncle and Keni are okay...it...looked like a pokemon used Earthquake or similar on their block...if the Rangers and Safari Zone officials start wondering where I am when they don't see me exiting through the gate by the end of the day, tell them I had to Teleport out, please..." And given how high her Insight is, it probably isn't hard for Angela to tell that Nathan is very, very worried about this...and scared of what he might find as well...

Nathan recalls Calam, then turns to Gallade.  "...you know where to go, buddy.  Take us there, then go meet Spira and Terra at the Center to bring them as well, alright?"

Gallade simply nods, salutes to Angela, then Teleports Nathan and himself to Cress!  For expediency's sake, he also picks up Spira soon afterwards, already knowing Terra wasn't going to be showing up.  Spira probably arrives at the scene a little after Nathan does, though, as Nathan's booking it along with Calam (who immediately bursts out of his Ultra Ball once they've Teleported) to the street where Oscar and Kenis' houses used to be as soon as they arrive in Cress (not even making a stop at the Pokemon Center to drop Charizard and Grid off for healing, notably)...Gallade will run alongside Spira all the way to the scene, though! ...partially because Spira wouldn't know where everyone else is headed without someone to guide him there. (@Mikaruge108, you're clear to post your own IC reactions now!)

...and when Nathan gets to the scene, he's almost frantically looking around, trying to find his uncle or Keni in the crowd.  When he inevitably doesn't see them, he quickly makes his way closer to the scene, pushing through the crowd if he has to, trying to find Heart or a League official so he can ask what the heck happened and if Keni and Oscar are okay...given that Heart and Shiva actually went into the scene to investigate it, Nathan probably runs into one of the policemen/women first unless Heart and/or Shiva also happen(s) to be nearby...

Oh yeah, and Calam's looking around warily as he keeps close to Nathan, matching the young trainer's pace step for step. He's got that feeling that something suspicious is going on again, and he doesn't want to be caught off guard...plus, he's only one of three usable pokemon that Nathan has on hand at the immediate moment. Four when Gallade catches back up with them. That's even more reason to be extra wary since they're headed to a scene of disaster...

(OOC: not sure if Nathan will run into Heart, Shiva, or the police first. One thing's for certain, though: Nathan's pretty noticeable at the moment, as is the vigilant Absol with the scarred left eye beside him. I imagine it's not super hard for them to push through the crowd for varying reasons)
