[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Jenny steps forward. "Almost two dozen rare and valuable cards were reported stolen. Total value: 125,000. However, most of those cards have unique ID numbers on them, making them extremely hard to sell. $20,000 in non-unique cards was also reported missing. The owners report a beam falling on them, bruising their midsections and legs, but they will recover just fine."

"No jailbreaks reported."

Humm, this brings a pondering stance and expression to Shiva, she rewinds in her mind what Jenny shared before she voices her thoughts(!) in a calm manner. "If... if I'm allowed to make conclusions and guesses, it really sounds like those who are responsible for damaging these buildings and abducting Mr. Morgusi and Mr. Warren's uncle are responsible for stealing these cards as well from the shack. A beam, you say - yes, this sounds a lot like the attack of a Pokemon. Or one that USES the power of a Pokemon. I don't think they're up to sell the cards however - not because they're collectors, but because of a different reason. They might not want anybodyelse get one's hands on 'em."

"Officer....", Shiva eventually speaks up once mre and braces herself, "They might have taken Mr. Morgusi hostage to force him to CREATE cards for them. Mr. Morgusi's talent is unique, his cards are....special. They might want to misuse their magic for their own plans, maybe as long as Mr. Morgusi agrees he might be safe. You know, we've still got a bone to pick with THEM and Mr. Morgusi holds a liking for us - we won't interefere with your work, but please expect us to take actions if applicable. All these happenings, they're highly sucpicious - we must travel on towards Elanor, but we won't stand there watching and reacting anymore. Is it possibile that, if new insights come to light about these two crimes, we could be informed about them? Of course we will reciprocate this."

Nathan's quietly listening as Shiva talks to Officer Jenny.  Mostly.  He does mumble a, "...I said some of that already...", but those words are mostly for his own and Gallades' ears.

That, and he's not exactly in the best mood right now, which is partially why he's grumbling.

Another reason he's grumbling: at the moment, he wants to actively do something about this himself.  And right now, he's standing around waiting.  Waiting to see if anyone else wants to go check out the trading card shack as well.

Hooray for having traded numbers with Officer Jenny - Shiva respectfully bows to her. "Thank you, officer. I hope we will be able to work well with one another." She appears happy to being able to help in this case. :>

Shiva's gaze wanders over the scene once more with a feeling that could best be described as 'We're gonna get you, Scims... Just wait. We're after you now.', before turning to Nathan, Gallade and Dizzalam, it's not too hard for her to read what's up with him. She meets him with calmness, neutrality, understanding even beneath that. "Nathan, you think we should take a look at the shack ourselves then? Maybe we'll find something there. Come on, I see you'd rather do something than talk, there's nothing really we can do here anymore." She'd give him a small pat on the shoulder if he wouldn't be grumpy. "Lilith, come", she waves to her, "Angela, please, if you're not busy it'd be good if you'd come too." Shiva guesses Heart would rather stay here, but Spira is welcome to come if he likes.

When Shiva gets Officer Jenny's number, Nathan asks if he can trade numbers with the officer as well.  He has a vested interest in all these Scimitar cases for both obvious reasons and not, after all.

And when Shiva asks if he thinks they should check out the shack themselves, Nathan just responds with a simple, "Yeah."  He's a little distant, but it's mostly just because of his overall mood at the moment rather than anything to do with Shiva specifically. Mostly.

Gallade's calmly staying by Nathan's side, keeping an eye out.  The Blade Pokemon's mere presence is obviously a huge comfort for Nathan.

Calam's still keeping a vigilant eye on the crime scene, but he also looks just as ready to move on as Nathan is. There's not much more for them to learn here.

Nathan looks in Spira's direction since Shiva didn't verbally address him.  "You coming?"  (@Mikaruge108)

The Shack Attack was a much more surgical strike than the Morgusi/Warren block. The door was sliced in twain, where it hangs sadly from its hinges. The fragile ceiling above the door collapsed, resulting in a big beam which is now on the floor. There's some blood under it.
Nothing else was damaged, not even the display cases - but the display cases are now full of pebbles and not cards.

Packs of Creshire Crash cards are strewn about the floor, along with comics and board game pieces, from one big shelf that seems to have fallen over.

Surgical strike is right.  Nathan is almost astounded at the difference between the two crime scenes.  They didn't even try to hide what they were aiming to steal from here nor how they got in.  It looks like they went in, got what they came for, and got out before anyone could call for help.  If the place wasn't so ramshackle already, there probably wouldn't have been any damage...

One thing in particular immediately stands out to Nathan, though...

"...that's odd...how'd they get into the cases without damaging them?  Some variation of Trick or something?  Hmmm..."

The trainer turns to the two pokemon accompanying him to ask them a question.  "Calam, Gallade, you sensing anything out of the ordinary in the area?"

Both are confident there are currently no threats in the area, nor any residue of anything Earthpowerful enough to register in their senses. That means no legendaries were here, for example.

Hmmmm...Nathan thinks for a moment...then turns to address the others present.

"...I'm gonna take a look around outside.  See if there might be anything in the immediate area that was left behind since the Scims probably left as quickly as they came.  Maybe they left some clues behind in their rush to get in and out."

Basically, Nathan wants to try and figure out which direction the Scims fled in (and maybe how they escaped) if at all possible.  The attack on the shack was fast and surgical, but it wasn't stealthy.  As the saying goes, haste makes waste.

Calam and Gallade are helping Nathan with this task, of course.  And Calam's probably very experienced with these kinds of searches, too, which would also help a lot.
