[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Nathan can't help but correct Shiva on something.  "...you have it the wrong way around.  The Six and the Four were 4 trainers with only 6 pokemon between them.  They're the primary reason we have a 6 pokemon party limit and the Elite 4 today."

Partially, he's doing that because he doesn't like some of the other lines of thinking he's having after Shiva's speculation, and he's trying not to think about it without thinking of something else as well.

Is that really what the first stanza of the prophecy means?  That they have to choose between the Skull Ruins and Almanac and can't do both?

"You fought some of those giant Pokemon? I might be interested in battling you, then. Tell Nathan I said you could ask him about where to find me."

"A shiny, good job. When it comes to aesthetics, I prize Pokemon that can match with me or my team. But when it comes to strong Pokemon, it's hard to beat Overgrown Pokemon, isn't it! That's why I love Dunseraph - it's naturally big, and mine is pink."

Diggersby appears and belches, then sees Angela and blushes. He makes an apologetic and awkward half-bow.

"Haha, don't worry, Diggersby. I'm not the kind of girl to judge a Pokemon for acting according to their nature. If you just caught Diggersby, my advice is simply to wait until you've bonded more before giving him a name."

When Shiva is conjecturing about not being able to split up, not being able to do both, the psychics don't really react. Prophecies aren't always literal or detailed. But when you posit that the Four are the artifacts, buried within the ruins, Gallade and Gothitelle get excited.

Gallade, of course, is a bit torn. As a Kirlia he'd been having those visions about the Ruins, it's a very important and long-term task for him, but if it were up to him right now he'd storm the Almanac base. He turns to Shiva and Nathan and starts trying to communicate something. Eventually, he succeeds in getting Shiva to pull out that True Card. He points to it, then to the base, then to the Ruins.

As a Kirlia he'd been having those visions about the Ruins, it's a very important and long-term task for him, but if it were up to him right now he'd storm the Almanac base. He turns to Shiva and Nathan and starts trying to communicate something. Eventually, he succeeds in getting Shiva to pull out that True Card. He points to it, then to the base, then to the Ruins.

Nathan thinks he might get what Gallade's getting at.

"...you think we have time to do both if we use the cards to Teleport out?  Use the cards...why didn't I think of that...that would be an easy way out, yes...unlike the move, they work indoors and in caves..."

'Huh. Is that possibly a hint that we CAN do both? But....HOW??!' That's the question that blazes up in Shiva's mind as the Psychic Types remain stoic. Seems impossible, but the journey has mildly shown that very little is impossible.

"....The True Card? Gallade, what....? OH!" She stares at the image of it. "It'll lead us to the Cress City seen from Keni's studio, presumably even into the studio. But why should we head there now of all costs, Gallade? Is there....a good reason that we should do that right away, that it'll aid us in this current situation? I...don't doubt there is, otherwise you wouldn't suggest it. Please just express 'yes' or 'no', we'll find out why to go there as soon as we're there assumingly."

Nathan thinks he might get what Gallade's getting at.

Nathan's guess is closer to Gallade's thoughts than Shiva's guess, perhaps unsurprising given their bond.

Others.......not so much, like giant Psyduck. *Shrugs* All were defeated, so they were no problem in the end. *Looks mildly surprised and curious about the impromptu battle offer* Hm? Hm.....*Nods* okay. *Looks serious* If you Fight me, bring your best Pokemon and do not hold back. Want our battle to be challenging, and you will not have chance to beat me any other way. Understand?"

Oooh, such a spicy, no-nonsense declaration! Wonder how Angela will react to that!

"*Nods happily* Thank you. *Looks curious* Hm.......that so? Don't care about Pokemon's........appearance myself, most of time. Prefer to look for ones that are tough and strong, or have great potential. *Eyes twinkle fondly* Still, can understand appeal of aesthetics and beauty in Pokemon teams, so don't think your......perspective is bad or wrong. And I agree: Overgrown Pokemon are good. Your Dunseraph is very pretty too, like you *Nods*."

Blunt praise and agreements, but both positive none the less!

His luxurious lagomorph's mannerisms do not bother Terra either, as he is naturally a very accepting/tolerant person and sympathesizes with their social awkwardness, and reaches down to pat their head in a caring and mollifying fashion.

"There there. Not good with people too and Angela is fine with you, so do not worry, okay? *Looks back to her* Hm......very well. Will not rush it then. Thank you for the advice."

And that is all that is said for now in the past!

"Those me and Nathan have to collect or play with.... They aren't original artworks from Keni, there's none of that curious magic about 'em... OR IS IT??" If there is, wouldn't she have sensed??! CONFUSION STRIKES!! Just as if to test, she draws a random card of hers from her stuff, it turns out to be Clefable.

"WAIT.....!! Gallade, do you mean all of us should... find Keni and Uncle Oscar now within the labs, teleport out with this Card, then find go seek The Artifacts in the tombs of the Ruins, as Nathan guesses? You...You're sure?? Please tell...!!"

"If our psychics agree, then we should do both. Spira, Shiva and Terra could get the artefacts. You three are strong and with your true cards you can make a safe return."

"Me and Nathan can go save Keni and everyone else. We both are the most stealth, and with less people going, there is less chances of us getting caught. At least this what I think. We need to stop any Deoxys disaster coming from that comet, but we need save everyone too. No chance of hell I will sacrifice anyone."

Gallade thinks that's a good idea, but you get the sense this is a deduction and not a vision.
