[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Whatever Nathan's muttering to himself there isn't missed by Shiva, to her these are nothing but cryptic words. How he ignored her words and silent best wishes isn't very helpful either and allures a gaze with a raised eyebrow from her, this natural fae enthusiast might never really understand this boy. But, she has already said that she won't ask questions now, however later when the coast is clean she might.

An impercible sigh escapes her and she closes her eyes for a moment to gather herself, then when she opens them again: "Fine. You two, go down there if you like and must", she says in a suprisingly calm voice. "This... This is probably the worst scenario to split up even more, but as you wish. Please, be CAREFUL and meet up with us as fast as you can...." Worry is clearly audible in her voice. "Come on, Yena, Azu, Cottonee, Spira - lets us see what awaits down the stairs leading us to the Scimitars probably, shall we...?" She waves to the spectral breeder/@Mikaruge108 to come and take first steps down into the assumed base of these Scims.

Spira pops his knuckles and neck then says "Alright, lets do this." and goes with Shiva into the assumed Scimitar base.

That's an attitude Shiva likes, with him joining her she instantly feels a bit more secure!

Yena walks half a meter in front of them constantly sniffing the air and floor, he is told to let them know if the scent of humans is becoming stronger.

Nathan and Heart trudge down into the Almanac base, eyes peeled for a server. They soon pass out of sight.

Shiva and Spira sneak into the Scimitar side of things, knowing some kind of guard awaits. But they aren't prepared for what they find.

Three of the walls are masonry, covered in shelves with smaller crates on them. The final wall is steel, with grotesque human figures appearing to push their way out of the steel, frozen in time. These sculptures are inanimate, all of one piece, but each of the five is armed with a Gauntlet on a piston. These pistons rotate and train on you as soon as you enter. The knuckles begin glowing, red or pale blue or yellow or pink or dark purple.

In the Almanac room, there are a few things of interest, but no obvious threats.

Right by the door is an electronic time clock, where you can punch in. The last entry was last night at 5:30, someone going off the clock.

One table is covered in unusual black and silver Pokeballs with an "A" design inside a book, the symbol of Almanac. A binder lies beside them.

There are also quite a few computers, all powered down right now. They occupy one wall, and one corner of that wall is dedicated to the server! The server is protected by five pillars rising from the floor to surround the server box. A forcefield of purple light connects the pillars in a protective dome.
A small hole at the base of one of the pillars, about five inches in diameter and at least a foot deep, seems to be the only clue as to deactivating it. Or perhaps it's something on one of the computers.

Hmmmm...time for puzzle number 2, then...first of all, what's that binder contain?  That's probably the second thing that catches Nathan's eye, right after the server wall.

Conditional Ball

This new variety of Pokeball will be useful in setting traps, containing powerful Pokemon, catching uncommon species, and expanding the relationship between people, Pokemon, and Pokemon freedom.

Using the attached technical documentation, a user can program a Conditional Ball to release or recapture the Pokemon it contains when certain criteria are met.

For example, a Voltorb could be released whenever a wild Pokemon enters the Ball's detection radius (about 100'), then automatically recaptured when the wild Pokemon is defeated.

Or a Bike could be released when a paying customer speaks the correct password.

Or a Pidgey could be released (and de-chipped) on the count of three for trainers to capture as sport.

Or your pet Meowth could be free to roam your house from dawn to dusk, and withdrawn as soon as the sun sets. Just make sure she can't leave the 100' detection radius!

There's an alternate use for a Conditional Ball. If you study a wild specimen long enough to understand it (5 Rounds), you can alter the program to increase the chances of the Ball capturing that specimen. An Almanac, or Almanac plugin for Pokedex, is necessary.
(Spending 5 Rounds studying a wild Pokemon, then you can use Knowledge+Computer Science to determine Seal Strength on any future Conditional Balls for that specimen.)

There are twenty sample Conditional Balls.

When Spira sees this, his brow furrows, in a mixture of confusion and shock, shock at the sculptures and confusion on the latest puzzle to get in their way. He then turns to Shiva and asks her, "So, what are your thoughts on this puzzle?"

After the initiate suprise (and relief upon realizing that there aren't any vivid opponents waiting) has passed, Shiva is very AMAZED and IMPRESSED by the room she and Spira find themselves in. Huuuh, the Scims seem to like giving any guests and entering members a hard time - if the latter do take this way into the base at all and not a different one, that is. By now she is unsure about this, an insider probably knows the solutions and is unfazed by these puzzles.

On that topic, Shiva began to enjoy these given challenges - it's one you solve with your wits and not muscles or battling Pokemon! That's nice.

At first Shiva will take a closer look at these steely figures, are that obviously Scimitars? Are they...wearing these typical robes and everything? Just out of curiosity because she's interested in these crafted sculptures. And they might be a hint to advance to the next room. But more importantly: Do these gauntlets react as she steps closer to the figures? Do they, eh...appear to shoot at them or are they 'just' glowing?

When Spira asks for her thoughts, her head turns towards him, she smiles faintly. "Ah, eh, thoughts? ...That's pretty clever what THEY have made up here. I'd almost bet the colors the gauntlets are glowing in means something. How about each of us takes a look at one and a half wall with crates and see what we find?"

(This begins to remind me a lot on these Escape Room Games. ^^)

About what size are the Conditional Balls?  And are there any pokemon in any of them? Gallade and Calam are instructed to stay Alert in case anything decides to try and surprise them.
