Shiva's having the strong feeling that the cord Keni's tied with has to do with the gauntlets stuck in the wall, and that it can't just be cut the usual way.

For Nathan's immediate reaction, he simply mutters, "...bastards."

From the looks of things, Almanac and the Scims are definitely monitoring the room to make sure Keni is drawing artwork for them.  Probably forcing him to draw the locations pictured on that corkboard.

They'll probably have to disable both those cameras and those gauntlets (whatever they might do) if they're going to free Keni and Oscar woth minimal trouble.

They screw up, though...and either Scimitars are going to attack them, or those gauntlets might open fire on the captives and whoever else happens to be in that room.

Charizard could probably easily melt those bars and chains with his Flamethrower, and potentially do a number on at least some of those gauntlets (how many are there?).  Porygon-Z might be able to disable the cameras.  

That strange thread keeping Keni tied down, though...hmmmm...not entirely sure what exactly that might do if it's cut...or if it can be cut...

Oh, Shiva shakes her head wildly at that, that is by far no standard rope. She also points to the screen on one wall that shows the room Keni and Oscar are in to make Heart understand that if they bring a Pokemon into the room, the Scims will perhaps know.

Oh dear heavens, that sweet relief to have finally found the good uncle and extraordinaire card artist!!~ It feels like a huge weight is taken from Shiva's kind and sweet heart as she juuust makes it to hold back a squeal of delight. She calmly nods to Uncle Oscar in response to his silent request to not speak and gestures this to the others as well by placing a finger on her lips to indicate a 'Sssshhh!'. She also recalls all her Pokemon out and very carefully places the airholes crate into her bag. Humm, just from the look Oscar and Keni seem alright - from the spot around the corner Shiva watches closer, do they sport any wounds or other signs of maltreatment? Any...'tortured' feelings coming from them she can make out?

It seems like her guess why they abducted Mr. Morgusi was partially correct, the Scimitars and/or Almanac DO want him to create artworks for them it seems, but not such that could be used on trading cards. She's very interested in these drawings, sketches and notes on the corkboard, desires to take a closer look at them - BUT, since one of the screens displays the room they're currently in, she doesn't believe it'd be safe to simply approach, the Scims might recognize the 'intruders' right away. So she gazes around - are there any hints inside this room or nearby that the record of the current room can be disabled, where's the camera recording?

They look OK. Any bruises they have are from the kidnapping. They're stressed but not tortured.

There's no sign of a camera, but the view implies the camera is mounted on the west wall.


There are ten gauntlets on each of the two long walls (east and west). The stairs cover up the south wall, and the corkboard is north.

No sign of a visible camera and not even a red dot or anything that could be a camera in disguise however allures a look with a raised eyebrow from her, that's curious - she observes the west wall for a few moments, then moves her gaze to the cord Keni's tied with - of how many threads does it approximately consist, roughly twenty, a few less? There are 18 Types of Pokemon known to and approved by science at the moment.

Instead of whispering to the others in order to share something, Shiva quickly draws her starry hardcover notebook, searches for a free page and scribbles on it for the others to read once she finished. She has written the following:

That weird rope around Keni's waist, I think it has to do with all the gauntlets here, possibly it is even fueled or controlled by them. Means, if we destroy them all, the rope should break as well. Me and Spira attacked them with moves from our Pokemon in the previous room and it worked, they were Steel plus on secondary Type. There's a good chance the camera observing this room is also hidden in one gauntlet on the wall on the west to prevent Keni and Oscar from disabling or breaking it themselves. What's your people's guess?

7 thick threads or components, though they do seem to suggest certain types:

-Black ethereal chains
-Pink ethereal beams of light
-Silky white threads
-A glowing blue chain
-A vine
-A linen thread, glowing very faintly
-A sheathe of clay over the whole thing.

Far more gauntlets than threads.

Oscar and Keni can't really move about to break a camera.

Even if they can't move about, they could still attempt to mess with an obvious camera by throwing a stone or enough paint on it, or so I'd guess. ^^;


Oh... Muuuuch more gauntlets being there than threads on the Curious Cord makes Shiva believe that not all of them are 'infused' with a Pokemon's energy/linked with one, but some. All the others might be decoys or reminders or simple decoration (maybe not that, okay), she's theorizing a lot. Can it be determined in some way which gauntlets are active = capable of fireing energy beams, anything? Or do they all look exact the same apart from featuring a different gesture? The latter seems more likely, but just in case Shiva takes a closer look at them. To her it clearly appears more safe if they'd destroy ALL of them.

She also makes a mental list in which she assigns each thread a respective Type:

-Black ethereal chains ---> Dark, Ghost as a second close guess due to the ethereal factor.
-Pink ethereal beams of light ---> Fairy if it looks different from the Psychic Gauntlet from the previous room.
-Silky white threads ---> Possibly Normal. Flying is a possibility.
-A glowing blue chain ---> Water
-A vine ---> Grass
-A linen thread, glowing very faintly ---> Possibly Rock.
-A sheathe of clay over the whole thing. ---> Ground

Another thought comes to her mind: Perhaps the chain ITSELF must be targeted with a Type of move that deals super-effective damage, but given how the Cord is connected to the floor makes her guess of the gauntlets being tied to them figuratively more feasible.

More quick scribbling on a free page of her notebook is Shiva's response, once done she holds it up for him to read:

'The issue is that there IS no visible camera though. (・_・;) From the look of it it's likely located on the wall right from us. If I were a secret camera here inside the room, I'd hide myself in one of these gauntlets - appears the most safe place to be to prevent anyone from breaking or messing with me. Maybe you'd like to send one of your ghosts in to check...?

If it's indeed there, I don't think Porygon-Z could slip into it to dismantle it as he'd have to phase through the gauntlet itself first. Could be worth a try though, sure - However, I vote on destroying them all like you and me did in the previous room, there's a good chance that this will break the cord Keni's tied with as well if my thoughts are going into the right direction.'
