Nathan gets the pokeballs containing Charizard and Porygon-Z ready and recalls Gallade and Calam into theirs so that they'll all have a little more space in this room.

Closing the stairs should buy them a little time and warn them if anyone is nearby, but they still need to act fast if they're going to commit to this.

If there's time for buffing before the inevitable battle, Porygon-Z has a few moves he could use, but otherwise, Nathan's ready to go! The only way they're going to figure out how to break that cord at this point without finding the information elsewhere is to experiment.

I'm not sure if Nasty Plot may make any noise, but Porygon-Z has plenty of options to buff itself:
- Nasty Plot/Sharpen
- Defense Curl
- Agility
- Conversion (to turn into an Electric type!)

You sweep into the prison room as the steps recede, ready for anything. Rose hops over to Oscar's cell as an alarm begins blaring and footsteps pound up above. With one loud CRACK for each limb, she rips up the foundation of the cell, offering access to the man. Of course, he's still chained.

The silence broken, Oscar begins yelling, but Keni just keeps working. "WATCH OUT, NATHAN!"

As you entered the room, the hands on the wall began moving. Two of them gesture at Rose in sync, and a whip of surreal rainbow energy crackling with white lines launches itself at Rose. It's rooted in the two Gauntlets, but arcs out in an attempt to intercept Rose. Evasion will be her third action after the Rock Smashes.

Rose hops over the arc, doing the splits in midair.

Shiva is off to grab the documents from the corkboard. One that catches her eye is a sketch of the place she went to when she pushed the SPIGOTS crate! The rest she is forced to thrust into her pocket as another whip targets her.

You experience a moment of panic as the whip strikes right through Keni. However, nothing seems to change with him, and the arc of energy keeps going until it smacks Keni's desk. The desk suddenly vanishes in a swirl of psychedelic energy. Keni sighs and begins gathering up all his materials and putting them in his coat pockets.

You experience a moment of panic as the whip strikes right through Keni. However, nothing seems to change with him, and the arc of energy keeps going until it smacks Keni's desk. The desk suddenly vanishes in a swirl of psychedelic energy. Keni sighs and begins gathering up all his materials and putting them in his coat pockets.

Well, that was certainly weird, assuming Spira saw it, that is, he stares blankly for a few moments at Keni in shock, before shaking it off and, either way, jumps into the fray, summoning Toya to assist with taking care of the Gauntlets.

Growth and Cotton Guard definitely don't make any noise, these just make Cotttonee a big and super-fluffy cotton cloud. ^^

Shiva hates the sound the alarms make, that stark contrast to the former silence, they're ringing back like a headache within her ears. Her head swirls around to the ceiling as footsteps arise, it's been a good call to retract the stairs - she can't really dwell on these things now however as she has to REACT, she readies herself like a feline that's about to pounce.

....HAH, snatched the documents from the corkboard successfully with fast movements!!, her eyes go wide and she frowns as one depicts the ethereal place she visited. For long that feeling doesn't stay however as she just makes it to evade an attack from the whip casted by the gauntlets, but the moment it goes for Keni she wishes that it would have hit her instead. There's no time to intercept though, neither for her Pokemon. She barely dares to watch.

Luckily however Keni appears all safe and sound, which can't be said for his desk which is now, eh....gone somewhere. A pity, but it could have been worse.

Oh, Uncle Oscar's words cause Shiva to perk up and try to respond, she has to rise her voice a lot to compete with the ruckus. "Magic, you say?" 'Good thing that Ven's not here', runs through her thoughts, "Oscar, you know or have a good guess where the source of this magic lies?"

Decided against giving orders right away to await what Oscar responds to that question, it might make a difference.

"The wizards were here, wearing gloves and wielding staffs! They wove that rope using magic and left."

I'll anticipate your next question: "The gauntlets on the wall were added a few hours after they made the rope, as soon as Keni completed his first drawing. I don't think they're related to the rope at all. I've never seen them do anything except fire these beams!"

That's really about all you have time to discuss before acting.

(...Oh. Damn. Guess we have to disenchant this Cord somehow then, break it or either way dismantle it, but now a battle feels inevitable as gauntlets have 'spotted' us. If WE'd have gauntlets and staffs, if only.)
