Heart after summoning the last wave of flames and finally returning to Cress City, Heart fall in his kneels, feeling the stress and tired of summoning Earthpower after Earthpower. "*Pant* *Pant* We....did it...somehow..." Heart say. He was still angered. "Rose..." Heart could still feel the negative emotions flowing though him, almost ready to explode once again...until Keni words was able to sootle his enraged soul. "...its more easy than done Master Keni...I lost one of my friends...my best friend. How can I be able to hold this...anger? This hatred? All I could think back there was to burn everything. To destroy all those Scimitars...I was lost in my own anger..."

When Nathan speak up, and try to make Heart better, he say a few words. "...I know. And we will save them. Not if is the last thing I gonna do...Just...leave me a minute alone...I must build a pyre. Moltres have give me a great mount of his strengh and he need to recover his strengh."

Before anyone could say something more, Heart separated from Nathan hand on his shoulder, and try to find a place alone, where he could build the pyre.

Insight+Knowldge+Craft = 8D6

Also @Iron, how much XP did we get from this rescue mission?

(5)(2)(1)(4)(5)(2) (6)(2) Good, more than the bare minimum of success. It's going to take a good pyre to rebuild Moltres' strength, and a little more time than normal. I'm guessing you probably did this in Celebi Park.

Each trainer gains 20XP, +4 for Heroism.

You can divide 40XP among all your Pokemon, and some of them have picked up a trick or two from watching the Scimitars cast "spells."

[b]Charizard learns Heat Wave!
Minicorn will hatch knowing Flamethrower thanks to exposure to the Moltres Egg!
Need suggestions for moves for Heart and Spira.

"Gotcha.  Whatever they throw at us, though, we'll take it on."

Well then, either now or just after escorting his uncle and Keni to the Pokemon Center, Nathan opens his pouch to find out what's inside!

It's a beautifully done, full color, Keni Morgusi original, True Card! He's put it in a protector sleeve.

The drawing on it is a Mesprit flying to a halt. The surroundings are indistinct and abstract, but when you look at it out of the corner of your eye, you swear you saw a tail twitch.

"It's a lot harder to draw Pokemon than places. Takes a lot more out of me if ya know what I mean. But I finally finished these. Enjoy them!"

When Shiva gets back with his tea, he's off to bed!

That just broadens Nathan's smile.  "Thanks Keni.  I'll show you the pokemon I promised I would at a later point.  The card's gorgeous."

While waiting for Terra and Angela to show up, Nathan's going to be analyzing that card veeerrry carefully.  Maybe also talking with his uncle a little bit, though Oscar's probably fairly tired too, and Nathan would not blame him if he wanted to get some rest as well.

Actually, on the note of Oscar, Nathan would also help him get what's left of those shackles off of his wrists with help from Gallade/Charizard/whichever of his pokemon would be useful for that.  Should be easily done now that there's a pause in the action.

Somehow or another, you get the manacles off. There was nothing special about them. Oscar fills you in on his new theory: "Did you hear what that guy said? Blocking spells? I wonder if Keni's cord was a spell to Block him in our room, like you'd Block a Pokemon with... uh... Block."

Oscar is willing to stay up a bit for you. You're his nephew and he's not as old as Keni, plus he says he got a little sleep in the cell.

Nathan will explain some stuff to Oscar.  "Yeah, they're not using magic.  They call it that, but they're actually just borrowing the moves of pokemon that they keep in special pokeballs on their person.  One of those threads they were using was probably a repurposed Spider Web.  I've seen Grid's webbing more than enough times to recognize a spider pokemon's web, and that particular cord looked very similar to the ones Grid can spin.  And the only reason the Scimitars are able to do anything like that at all is because of Almanac's technology.  Though based on how many Scims there were, I'm not sure if they're even separate organizations any more...in any case, Gallade, Calam, and I are fed up with both organizations, separate or not.  Almanac's business and research practices are very callous towards pokemon from what I know of them, and the Scims are just as bad in that area as well.  We've run into Scimitars more times than I'd like to count, too.  This is only the most recent incident in a long string of them that's been going on since I started this journey. I'm working to try and put an end to all the trouble they've been causing, though."

No problems with Oscar hanging around!  It's good bonding time!

(At long last......Terra can now do something again! Huzzah!)

Since nothing significant in regards with Terra/Angela was mentioned, I will presume that their watch was mostly boring and uneventful - or perfectly alright, in other words. Maybe Terra had some time to make some granola bars for everyone to snack while also keeping watch for hostiles and have a bit of small talk with the 'Dragon' Lady, but beyond that nothing too extravagant.

After receiving the soon to be 2nd to last response from Nathan, the mountain of a man appeared overtly calm if stern and frowning, but internally he was still rather irked , both at Almanac/The Scimitars for their 'treatment' of Mr. Mime, and because he was naturally worried for his friends well-being.The very nature of their mission alone didn't do anything to avail his concerns, as invading heavily guarded territory full of dangerous foes and traps was akin to raiding a colony of Shroomish for medicinal mushrooms: an exercise fraught with risk, even for the most prepared. Adding to that, he was still deeply disappointed in himself too for not actually joining the group in their infiltration/breakout mission too, as by doing so he was failing to uphold his duty and leaving everyone much less well defended.

Such feelings was tempered with the knowledge that A) Between his Exhaustion from his Safari excursion and his distinct lack of Steathiness, he would have been more of a detriment than not if he joined, B) He was sorta helping/doing his job by keeping watch and acting as back-up, and C) His friends were all highly competent, smart, talented, and exceptionally skilled Trainers that could handle anything, so the sagely monk was not too bothered by the state of affairs. Frustrated, tense, and grim, yes, but not ruinously so, and Angela + Mr. Mime's natural levity and charm helped keep a positive edge about him.

By the end of the group's mission he was getting a bit more antsy, and was about request an update to their status.....when he got latest message from the young intellectual themselves! Speak of the devil! He glanced over their words, his expression rapidly shifted between radiant relief and stormy seriousness as he read, before it settled into hard stoicism as he nodded to himself, put away his 'Dex, and turned towards his fair acquaintance and the jovial jester.

"Raid of Scimitar Base is completed, and was successful. Everyone got out safely with Keni and Oscar. Probably did some......sabo....sabotage too.*Frowns* Scimitars were Alerted too, though. Very active now, and on hunt. For our friends, and us. Need to get leave here. Now. Got Alakazam that can Teleport , so we will use them to make escape. *Looks over at the performer* Mr. Mime, return *Is Recalled*. *Looks to Angela* Come with me......please."

With that said, Terra summons Helios and Teleports himself and Angela to the Western Cress Pokemon Center! If Helios is unable to do a double Teleport normally, though, could Terra spend some Will to pull it off? Or does Angela has her own means of discrete retreat?

Regardless, the rugged wander is now waiting right at the side of the entrance to the Center, arms to his side and hands bundled into fists and he panned his head all around, searching for his friends with sharp intent.

(Done! Now Terra can interact with everyone again! And Angela too, if she can be Tele-ed along!)

Nathan's probably on a bench/at a table outside the Center with his uncle.  Don't know if Shiva and Spira are hanging around there or going about their own business while Nathan does the debriefing, though.

Angela comes to, and since Teleport defaults to Pokemon Centers, y'all end up in the same place, except Heart.

(5)(6)(3)(5)(1)(4) (1)(6)(6) That's enough! The final thread fades away as Shiva stabs the Scim holding Keni. Keni stands up and dusts himself off, pacing calmly over to Shiva as she gets out the Unfinished Card. His attendant leaps for him as Heart, Shiva, Keni, and Spira step through into Cress City. Tropius lifts Gustav, but Hida is so heavy that he must be recalled.

Nathan, Oscar, and most of the Pokemon go through the Finished Card. You're close enough to hear Cosh RAGING even louder than Heart and Nathan did.

(Ah, so the Unfinished Card has been used, which leaves 2 usages of 3 before it'll go blank. I'll note that.)

For Cosh that *censored*, Shiva doesn't have much more to say-show a two-finger salute accompanied with a mischievous and satisfied smile that could be fittingly translated into 'Sayonara, you...!! May we never see again, but if we do I hope my and my Pokemon's face will GIVE YOU HELL. May you be reborn as a pebble in Greenbriar River.' If he doesn't give a damn about answering Shiva, then by no means she feels obligated to reply to him how they made it to free Keni and escape, HMPF!

Quote:He [Keni] slumps. "I'm so tired. Is anything left of my home? Or the Pokemon Center, perhaps, in a pinch? And someone will have to run for my tea. They have it at the Mart. Just tell them it's for me." He leans on Tropius.
Quote:"Rose..." Heart could still feel the negative emotions flowing though him, almost ready to explode once again...until Keni words was able to sootle his enraged soul. "...its more easy than done Master Keni...I lost one of my friends...my best friend. How can I be able to hold this...anger? This hatred? All I could think back there was to burn everything. To destroy all those Scimitars...I was lost in my own anger..."

Tropius is a little pained, but in no means too pained to support the good card artist. A calm and requesting nod from Shiva is enough to make the grassy sauropode understand that his dear Master wishes for him to protect this old man at the moment with everything he's got, and to emphasize that he spreads his leaf-wings out widely. 'Dare to come close, anyone, just DARE to do so and you'll be met with razorsharp leaves.' The Ranger's cloak Shiva has gotten back from Spira by now is also offered to Keni.

Shiva herself in the meantime takes a moment to clean and disinfect the Sawsbuck Knife she stabbed into a Scim's hand before packing it away. It fills her with silent satisfaction that that person will probably carry a scar from her attack, reminding them of this fateful morning.

Due to her background she knows very well that a Baby Pokemon growing within the Egg is affected by the emotions of the holder, she doesn't have anything to add and gifts Heart a thankful look as he is off to patch the young Moltres up. Something is telling her that the Eggs she got from Noble Arcanine aren't unaffected by what just happened - it's marked by a warm feeling. And indeed, when she later checks on the Eggs, she'll notice that the pink one feels much warmer than usual. Aww!♡ Before Heart rushes off Shiva makes him understand that Rose, Toya, Azu and Cottonee aren't 'lost', that she's sure of that. She expresses this to Spira as well. If they'd be, she'd feel three times as sad and lonely as 'just' being seperated from her loved ones. (THAT she doesn't share though.)

"I'll get your tea Mr. Morgusi, give me a minutes to fetch it", she'll reply to Keni and Nathan, "And thank you for this gift..." She holds the card-sized silverly pouch close to her. "It's a pleasure to receive anything from you, and... Know that I wouldn't think twice about coming to rescue you again shall it be needed. That's the least I - we - can do for you..." She'll open the gift on her way to the Mart, very excited what she'll find. :>

"Before I go, Mr. Morgusi.... Is it, well, alright if I'd be to visit you later today again please, how about tonight? I'd like to speak a bit with you about the Sideways Zone. You seem to know a bit more about this place than me, despite I've been there for short I struggle to understand... Some of our Pokemon, including two that are close to my heart, have been sent there." Bitterness fills her voice as she speaks that out, but so does amazement and curiosity. She shares a gaze with Lilith too. (Your input, Iron.)

Ah, Shiva does linger somewhere outside the Center, enjoying a freshly-brewed coffee-to-go while soaking up fresh air alongside Tropius, Vaporeon, Mightyena and Lilith. She watches, almost searches the sky discreetly - where is that strange light that turned out to be the comet, is there anything in the news that she'd connect to it? She'll check via her cell.

As Terra and Angela arrive in her field of vision, Shiva gets up and joyfully runs towards them, a waterly Eeveelution curiously following. She rubs herself against Angela's legs and wags her tail while Shiva wraps her into a dear hug, for Terra she has a happy and playful punch into the shoulder since she knows he's not very fond of too much displayed affection. "Terra! Angela!! My my, it's so good to see you again, although it's not been long at all..." She smiles honestly. "Is everything okay on your end, has anything happened? Oh, no, wait - Tell me indoors, maybe. Thanks for being the needed backup, much appreciated. Did Helios behave towards you, Terra, how's he doing?" Nothing seems to show that she misses Cottonee and Azu heavily as she conceals that with might (it's not like her to worry others), but maybe it's strange to see her without the fluffball by her side.

She'll stick with them for now, partly because she'd like to inspect these sketches and notes she has snatched from the corkboard with'em.
