[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(03-22-2019, 06:09 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: But at least we happy with all our Pokemon back! Bless be God and Iron too! Thank you! Thank you a lot Iron! Cant express how much I thank you!
And also you too @Phantom! For making Lilith save our Pokemons! Now we can finally save the world without great risks!

Haven't I told you to try not to worry too much and leave dealing with the Pokemon trapped in the Sideways Zone to me? (・ω<)☆ Nice to see how happy you are!~

Welp, a lot has happened while I have been studying/literally passed out for a whole day due to said studying and playing a new game (More due to the later than the former, but still!), but from what I can glean all seems well enough! Will have to do a look through of the Game Thread to see if I need to respond to anything, but right now my plan is just to leave Terra on Autopilot until the new day begins, so I have less to respond too and can just focus on New Things rather than Old Business.

Just finished reading the latest posts in the Game Thread, and I see things have resolved mostly well, save for Shiva's and Nathan's increasely deteriorating relationship. Which IC and OOC I am displeased with, since I just want everyone to get along and don't want to deal with anymore inter-character drama that seems so superfluous and for its own shake. From what I can tell, most of the drama at this point is being created and continued solely from Shiva while Nathan's doing/done his best to let bygones be itself and be more understanding, which considering she's literally the most empathetic person in the group and big heart (despite her fae, contrary, and grudging nature) make her behavior seem more petty and vindictive than not.

*Sighs* Looks like me and Terra will have to do something about that, most likely in a PM Conversation this current in game night between our charas, if that is fine with you Phantom. If not......well, I'll have to find other ways to solve this problem then.

On other, more happier notes... (Which may or may not be posted in the Game Thread later)

- Terra's not going to do anything for his last Encounter, as he's still worn out from his Safari Zone trip AND has the added weariness from stressing out over his group's safety for most of the day. He needs the rest, quite frankly! If Nathan still has an Encounter left, though, we can instead have that Battle we planned via PMs at the end of the day instead, if that is alright with you @Dragonstrike . Might as well get it done ASAP, so Terra can eventually go on to challenge Heart and Spira in the future all the quicker!

- Concerning the Sideways Conversation, he was stunned and mystified by it at first, but he quickly grow to be quite accepting and calm about it all, save for the trouble that happened with regards to the Group's Pokemon and the Scims taking over a part of it. He'd have one question to raise about The Sideways: namely, who is the permanent resident there, and if it could possibly be a threat or ally to the group in regards to the Scimitars and The Comet? He wants to know if IT is going to be a bane, boon, or neither, since not being aware of IT could potentially be yet another bug bear waiting to savage his friends....

- In regards to Shiva's and Nathan's spat, he would be......displeased and disappointed, to put it simply, but he wouldn't try to intervene or stir the pot any, and instead just try his best to give some silent support to both his friends, with him patting the fae lady on the shoulder to comfort her while discretely (as he can be, anyway) shooting the young intellectual looks of understanding and resolve, as well as an untold message he'd do something more about their mutual friend later.

- As for everyone's Pokemon arriving back safe but HUNGRY, Terra (Who would be with Shiva still) would be overjoyed in his own stoic/calm way, and rush off to make them some good nutrious grub too along with Heart! His Roll is would be Insight + Knowledge (0) or Survival (5)[Since part of taking care of yourself in the wilds obviously involves knowing how to prepare the ingredients/food you find in it), and Chemistry (5), which would make his Cooking Roll either 7D6 or 12D6! He'd want to mainly make healthy, non-rich, but satisfying foods, like bars, a thick vegetable stew, good porridge, and fruit salads. Time to show off all that hard XP and effort put into the 'culinary' arts, and make both himself and Nathan proud at what he's accomplished with his own self education!

On another ANOTHER note......would Terra be able to figure out Deoxys is basically just super powerful alien DNA now, Iron, due to being a practical expert on all things Chemistry (Which includes Biochemistry!) somehow? If anyone could deduce that, it be him, due to the connection he'd shared with it and how focused he was on it afterwards....

Making a Glass Flute takes an Encounter Slot, so Nathan doesn't have any encounters left today, unfortunately.  We might have some time to kill before we head to the Skull Ruins, though, depending on how long it takes for the Comet's payload to become an immediate threat.

Different note, but don't forget there's a PM from me you still need to respond to!

Windos, nice to see/read you here!~ Despite I missed you time-wise because I was watching a DVD. Take care of yourself and sleep well, dear.

No, the point of Shiva creating/continuing with drama is not correct in my view. She may a dramaqueen at times and sensitive towards particular things, that is true, but in this particular scenario Nathan's words of her possibly having to venture into the Skull Ruins without Azu and Cottonee, as realistic or possible that worst case scenario could be, are simply hurtful to her. She herself is aware that if the very worst occurs she'll be forced to go down there without them, but being told so is simply... excuse if I'll get explicit, insensitive and not very compassionate. What if Nathan would be in her shoes and had to visit the ruins without Gallade for example? Being told that one has to do something dangerous without a trusted partner isn't really something one likes to hear in such a situation, unfortunately. :C

Plus, the fluffball and blue fae rabbit are some of her strongest Pokemon, especially since Cottonee has +1 Strength, on Ghost Types super effective Night Daze and a way to heal herself in her arsenal. Paying the most ominous place in the region a visit whithout that 'Mon and with she not being the most competitive person in the group is something she and me absolutely would not want to do unless it can't be prevented.

That beside, if you like to talk about stuff privately, do so if you like, but...maybe not in the current game night to not diminish her joy over her beloved companions being back by her side by talking about issues. Alright?

Its nice to be able to talk here too, at least for relevant reasons! Well, when I'm not too busy with IRL stuff, of course! Will do better at keeping healthy too!

Hmm.....now that you explained her rationale, I can see why Shiva's was so pickly to Nathan. However, I do believe that could have been better stated and handled other than her being outright hostle/dismissive of Nathan's own points (No matter how hurtful they may be), if only because Shiva herself is a compassonate person willing to forgive a LOT from others, and beyond that she should understand Nathan well enough to know he's just meaning well with his words, even if he's not sugar coating them any. That, and being mean to mean is just.....well, counterproductive in the end. 'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind,' as the saying goes.

In the end, all I just want is everyone to get along most of the time, or at least in OOC if its just plain unfeasible for jolly cooperation to occur between Shiva and Nathan at this point. Drama and character conflict is what lead me to having Ven jettisoned from the group and replacing him with Terra, so I REALLY don't like it when it crops up between us again.....

Alright, Terra will hold off speaking to her in private until next in game night. He's not that insensitive or think headed enough anymore to rain on such a happy reunion.

Well, at least we can say everything is in peace now. Pokemon back, everyone alive safe and sound. Sometimes we must take risks, and Nathan himself already put himself for the sake of others. How not forget his willing self sacrifice in free Mesprit from his prison? Nathan above everyone should know we are willing to take risks to save people, specially to when comes to people important to us, like our pokemon partneers.

But lets just put a rock above that topic and follow the plot.

Nathan didn't really sacrifice much to free Mesprit.  Putting himself directly in harm's way to free Ralts and the other pokemon from Seikamater would be a much better example.

Yes, Nathan knows all about self sacrifice when it's necessary.

He also knows Shiva just lost two of the pokemon she's closest to.  If she lost the third pokemon she's closest to after ordering them to try and save the other two by themelves, how do think she would feel?

It was a roundabout way of 'asking', and there was really no way to sugarcoat it, but Nathan was basically asking, 'Are you really sure you want to take this potentially massive risk instead of doing the safer method?'

That's all it was.  There were no objections to the chosen course of action whatsoever.
