*Flashback*
As the sunlight struggled past the cloud cover and weakly bathed the earth, Terra had already arisen bright and early, feeling refreshed and invigorated from a proper night's rests.......but also troubled and worried. He stared down at his hands, which were tightly clutching his bed sheets, then turned to look out through his bedroom window, staring unerringly at where The Comet was hidden in the sky.
"......It is coming. Deoxys. Cause.....lots of danger. For Shiva, Nathan, Heart, Mika.......
everyone. Everyone in Cheshire......even in the
world. If......it is not stopped. By
us."
His grip tightens on his sheets for a moment, before he lets it go with a heavy *Sigh* and looks down at his hands. So many threats to his friends he one day has to deal with, from past, present and future. The malicous and cruel Scimitars and bad mad science corporation Almanac, horrors and magic conjured up from here or
beyond, The Comet, Marco and the Skull Ruins, the inherent dangers of journeying through the region itself, and sometimes even the
Legends themselves......all that and more were pressing issues that all demanded his utmost attention and due diligence to correct, and it was all beginning to weigh on him heavily .
Never before had he felt so
stressed,
anxious, or
worried about eventualities or the myriad difficulties of life, and, after his distinct
lack of helpfulness during his friend's very recent Cliff Side Scimitar Base Raid, he was feeling
inadequate and
useless too. What good were his immense Strength and years of accumulated Survival know how, when he could put either to good use for his friends he swore to defend, who now meant the same to him as his own partners? What use was his staltwart Defenses and finely honed mastery of Battling, if he can't put them to worthwhile and
right use for him, his own, and others?
The mountain of man eyes slowly closed his thoughts turned darker and more mire some, until he took a
deep, LONG breath, and let it out as he slowly recollected himself.
Wanting as his recent failings were, he still had his duty, nay,
responsibility and honor, to defend his group of friends to the very utmost of abilities. More over, he reminded himself, just because he was unable to help out last time doesn't mean he couldn't do so
next time, nor that his own qualities and prior accomplishments were rendered null and void. It just meant that he had to be more prepared for now on, and never let his vigilance wane or allow any dalliances from preventing him from doing his job.
......Despite that, Terra still had trouble reassuring himself. Hm.....maybe it was that lack of self confidence that Nathan told him about that was giving him so much trouble? That he needed the support and favor of others, or accomplishing some grand effort on his part, to fully soothe his troubled soul?
In that case......
Opening his eyes, the sagely monk reached over to the nightstand beside his table, and picked the single card he laid there last night. The masterpiece that was so painstakingly crafted by Wise Man Keni, it
thrumming with so much
life like detail that it was almost as it was
real
Latios' Card.
He held The Card right before his face, his brown eyes staring at the picture of the Eon Dragon as if entreating an answer from it, before he closed his eyes once more, bowed his head, and began to
pray.
"Latios......Great Dragon of Eons Past......I do not know if you can hear me. Or you care to. But.......I ask a boon from you. Give me
power. Power to
protect.....power to
defend what means most to me. My partners.......my friends.......and anyone in need. Don't know if I.....can what I
need to do in future time to come."
"So.....I beg you. Please......help me keep everyone
safe and
alive."
With that said, Terra opened his eyes and gazed upon the blue Dragon of legend once more, before he put it away and got out of bed, his expression firm and resolute.
Regardless if he gets Latios divine aid or not, he still has to get ready for the day. Ready to continue his journey throughout Cheshire with his friends. Ready to stand against foes and threats of all calibers.
Ready to be the guardian protector of his friends.
And so, he did. Simple as that.
*Flashback End?*
Presumably everyone gets together at the Pokemon Center before heading off to TV, so the steely brawler makes sure to check on everyone to see how they are doing. With Nathan, he
asks when they could do the Battle they were talking about, as the chance to do that was rapidly dwindling away as The Comet crept closer and closer to earth. With Shiva, though.....he quietly and calmly told her he
wished to speak with her later that night in private. Given the growing tensions and stagnating relationship between her and the scholarly trainer, and that neither she or them apparently had
any desire or ability to solve those mounting issues, it was up to him to yet again step
way outside his comfort zone and do the almost unthinkable - play mediator. Oh boy, that was going to be
fun......
As for his party of Pokemon, let's just say it remains unchanged for simplicity's shake, unless Nathan agree to have That Battle later on this in game day. In which case,
he'll swap Basteele the Forrestress, Edmundi the Bastiodon, and Pixie the Mawile into his party, replacing Shiny Diggersby, Dunny, and filling his Free Slot (Since he'd give back Helios to Shiva ASAP).
If not, he'd replaced Shiny Diggersby with Tommy and Anubi, and with Anubi holding the Lucky Egg now. Still need to train the blue bomber and tomcat up more (And Eventually Trigger than Pay Day Payout), so the rest of Terra's Pokemon have to stay put up for a bit longer!
Finally, his Encounter of choice will be The Cliffs, with either Dunny and/or Anubi by his side while exploring/scaling them (Depending on his party comp.). That should be it, so let's get to the knitty gritty and do it![/i]
