[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Nathan wanders into the flower field. There are lots and lots of insect Pokemon, busily at work on the flowers. They seem outstandingly healthy, and you see many that are edible.

Suddenly your Pokedex starts going off! No sooner does it say "Update Available...downloading..." than the download completes! Your inbox lights up with hundreds of text messages! Random TV and radio broadcasts flicker across your screen. The phone rings, then stops, then rings, then stops, intermittently throughout all this.

"New Pokemon scanned - Dustox! They travel in big groups during -"
"New Pokemon scanned - Sunflora! Sunflora live in flower patches. They convert -"
"New Pokemon scanned - Wooper! Inhabits cold water sources and only comes out during the -"
"New Pokemon scanned - Teddiursa! If they find honey, their crescent -"
"New Pokemon scanned - Burmy! This Pokémon has adapted to live in -"
"New Pokemon scanned - Spewpa! It remains hidden inside old logs. W-"
"New Pokemon scanned - Petilil! Since they prefer moist and nutritive -"
"New Pokemon scanned - Dedenne!" Beep, boop, Professor Mallorn has wired you $400.

But the source of this confusion has given itself away - a teensy tiny Dedenne with oversized whiskers ducks back behind a burdock plant. It's only about three inches long, but so are its whiskers. Definitely just a baby, and a little undersized too!

Splish, splish, splish, splish, SPLASH! Spira's stone skips four times normally, but the fifth splash is huge! As he's peering after his stone, there's another SPLASH but closer! Then another! Then the surface of the stream goes quiet. Spira shrugs and bends down for another stone, whereupun he feels something squishy with hard edges snap onto his hand! He can barely lift it out of the stream, but when he does he finds that the large flattish rock is a large flattish Clamperl! In fact, you can feel a pearl that's mostly done in there, right next to your fingers.

Ya got chomped.

The transformer station is where the Deyo flowers are found. They grow up like weeds among the wire towers and weird devices. Looks like this station was built on the edge of a small old crater, and some of the MSC was used in its construction. Wherever it leeches into the soil, the Deyo grows.

The transformer station actually has a lot of items/Pokeballs on the ground! You see two pairs of two items. There's a ball against a circuit breaker, and a ball nestled up against the first one. Then there's another ball on top of a conductor bank, requiring a bit of a climb, and a ball directly underneath it on the next layer.

Well, that's definitely a distraction and a half!  "What the..."

The moment the pokedex says it just scanned a Dedenne and the pokedex spitting out a 'Mallorn wired you money' message instead of a pokedex entry, though, Nathan's eyebrows shoot up in surprise!  Wait, if that just happened, then that means...

...and yup, sure enough, there's a Dedenne.  And one with extra powerful electromagnetic abilities if what just happened is any indication.  And those are some biiiiiiig whiskers for a pokemon that small.

Nathan shuts his pokedex off entirely to hopefully stop it from making any more noise, then kneels down.  "Well hey there little guy.  You're certainly causing a lot of noise, aren't ya?  Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt ya.  Ya want to play?  I've got a friend you could play with without having to worry about them squishing you."

Ditto Transforming into Dedenne so they could play together might be an interesting way to go about befriending this tiny little mouse pokemon, I think.  Ditto's still fairly young itself, being only a little over a month old, so it making a young friend could be good for it, too.

"Oh for the love of..." Spira grabs a Lure Ball from his pocket with his other hand, (I guess this would count as fishing it up XD) and presses the ball to the Clamperl to get it off his hand, if it catches, it catches, if not, battle time!

Aw, that's really sweet. The two little Dedenne instantly begin transmitting to each other. When they've decided on the rules, they begin a complex game of tag with a lot of special spaces and moves.

The mountain of a man's initial reaction to the......strange costumed hawk was one of blinkered curiosity, as seeing such a gussied up creature outside the Contest stage was a bit unexpected yet also strangely nostalgic sight.

He instantly snapped out of his passive observation when the beautiful bird issued its challenged and promptly started to dive bomb him, expression becoming granite and his eyes steely as he quickly and smoothly raised a tensed forearm to block and Knock them Down in rapid succession , his years of training making such a reaction near automatic! Simultaneously, he also barked out orders for Dunny and Anubi (Who should be out with him, as stated in an earlier post), wasting zero time in handling this assault!

"Anubi, stay back and use Screech, and prepare to Counter if hit! Dunny, Confuse Ray and double Night Shade!"

Orders: Well well, a caped cursador challenging the steely brawler, eh? I like it! Since the bird is going straight for Terra, he'll be participating in this fight, and therefore his first Action will be to block and then Knock them Down in response to their first Move, then attempt to Strike them three times. Dunny will be there alongside him, using Confuse Ray to trip the birdy up, and help chip it with two Night Shades. Meanwhile, Anubi will be hanging in the background mostly, using Screech to weaken the bird of prey and then queing up two Counters if it happens to be picked on. If they miss Screech, though, they'll attempt to repeat it once, and if they are not targeted during his second and third Action, substitute Counter with Endure and Nasty Plot, respectively. Let's get ready to RUUUUUUMBLE!

Moves:

Terra: 4 Actions - Knock Down (STR + 0, - 1 Accuracy/Laided Out on Hit), Strike 3X (STR + 1) [Accuracy Dice: 7/6/5/4D6]
Dunny: 3 Actions - Confuse Ray, Night Shade (3D6 Damage. Would use Shadow Sneak, but due to using Stealth as part of its Roll I won't. How much would a Surprise cost to change it to Brawl, Iron?) [Accuracy Dice: 7/6/5D6]
Anubi: 3 Actions - Screech, Counter X2 [Accuracy Dice: 7D6 for Screech, 7/6D6 for the Counters]
Condition Orders: Replace 1st with Screech if first one Fails (or with Endure if Anubi is not Targeted for Attack), and replace 2nd Counter with Nasty Plot if they are STILL not attacked by then (6D6 Dice)
Dice Pools: Channel (10D6 [Screech/Endure is part of it, last I checked/remembered]), Brawl (11D6), Intimidate (11D6)

Haha that's really funny.

Lure Ball: (6)(6)(2)(5)(5)(1)

Well, a Lure Ball was the way to go! Gotcha! Clamperl was caught!

Shell Armor
Has all his moves including ? moves, what a garbage moveset he has.
2 Loyalty, 1 Happiness, 0 disobedience.
This is a Creshirean freshwater Clamperl and will evolve into forms that look more like freshwater eels. Stats remain the same.

Toya and Spira gain 2Xp.

The Clamperl Pearl is worth $8000 and will give a dice to Psychic moves if you remove it. You could also try to influence it to grow bigger, since it's not quite ready to be expelled naturally yet. Removing it won't harm the Pokemon, however.

Gotta love Transform!  Nathan's watching the game of tag carefully.  Emolga's also popped out of his Flash Ball now, chittering curiously.

Nathan looks for a nice spot to sit and have a snack while the two little mice are playing together.  Once they appear to have finished, he waves them over and offers the both of them some food, including 1 Honey each.  Playing is hard work, ya know!  Snacks are a great way to recharge after expending all that energy!  (and 1 Honey is probably a rather large snack for such a tiny pokemon, too)

"It's nice to see Ditto getting along well with ya, Dedenne.  He's usually fairly grumpy, so it's always a treat to see him smile.  Care to join us?  Always room for another friend!"

Given the growing tensions and stagnating relationship between her and the scholarly trainer, and that neither she or them apparently had any desire or ability to solve those mounting issues, it was up to him to yet again step way outside his comfort zone and do the almost unthinkable - play mediator. Oh boy, that was going to be fun...... (...)

She listened attentively to his request, then gave him an expression that'd best described as a weird mixture of curiosity and confusion, her gut feelings tell her to be careful. Nevertheless she replied all normally. "At some point after dinner and after we've build up the tent is fine for me, or in a room in Elanor's Center if we get there today still. Unless something occurs that'd reason delaying this...talk and if my Pokemon don't keep my busy, of course. Just come to me then, alright?"

Shiva can't really shake off a bad feeling about this request for a while, it's easy for her to guess that if Terra desires to speak with her in private, the topic must be relevant or somewhat uncomfortable for him. Soon however that gets put behind as it'll do her better to not think about this too much or else she'll just worry herself into oblivion.

You've heard of these Drench Crocuses - they grow a lot taller than most crocuses and they're pretty rare, so removing that litter was a good deed. (...)

Awww, it felt like Mother Nature herself is thanking Shiva instantly by showing her this precious flower, she knees down to watch this pretty 'n cute crocus from up close. Both Vaporeon and Primal Glaceon sniff on it also and Cottonee nudges it with delight, then mimics to Shiva that the flower's rejoiced over the aid.

She'll take a photo of this Drench Crocus with her cell - Shiva doesn't intend to pick it for now. But can she tell whether this flower is useful for something, medicine, Natural Gift or such? Since it's rare it'd probably sell good, but she has enough cash at the moment.

Quote:As Shiva is picking up litter from the copse of trees, she hears an oddly-echoing chittering noise. Looking up, she sees a Pachirisu with its head stuck in a tin can!

Oh, she has just packed away the bag with the collected litter and turned to go, as she SNAPS around in an instant as if someone called for her help, the Eeveelution perk up as well. "So you heard that too...? It didn't came from far at all." A few moments later she spots it, a smol electric rodent up in one tree could use some aid, and none's nearby at the moment but her. She's startled, angry, downcasted and a bit frightened about poor Pachirisu's state and doesn't hesitate a moment.

"Lili' one up there, please don't struggle too much or you may fall off or get stuck even more! Give me a moment, we'll get you down..." *turning to Cottonee* "Dear one, can you float up there and carry this Pachirisu down to us please?" (If Cottonee fails, Lilith is there as a second option with a Telekinesis.)

The first thing Shiva does once she has Pachi in her arms is trying to calm it by all gently stroking its white fur and speaking soft words to it, she doesn't mind an electric shock or two; is used to it via Plusle and Minun. "All's well, Pachirisu, all's well. Now, let me... I'll count to three and at '3' I'll try to pull the can off your head in one go, alright? Tell me if t hurts too badly. Vaporeon, lend me a helping hand if needed, will you? Okay, 1...2...3!!"
