[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Success.

On Netune:
(6)(5)(6)(3)(3)(4) (5)(3)

They're doing OK. Netune's head fin is damaged, which will take a few days to regrow. He should avoid being fully submersed, OR drying out, or any task that requires balance.

Heart's eyes have gone a bit red and his breathing is a little troubled. He needs rest but should not go to sleep. Eyedrops or even just clean water for an eyewash will bring some relief.

"You got all that, Heart?  You both should avoid any unnecessary strenuous activity, but don't think you're out of the frying pan yet even though you're out of the fire.  Here, I should still have some eyedrops leftover from when Ray used FLASH on me...now where were they...?  Ah, here they are.  That should help with your eyes.  Now then, as for fully treating the rest of your wounds...how many Potions do you have on hand?  I have a few, but it looks like we're going to need at least 3 to fully heal the rest of that damage."  @Spiritmon

(Super Potion healed 2, Heart had taken 5.  Nathan has 4 Potions on hand at the moment, so he has some he can contribute to help heal Heart)

"Healing moves aren't strong enough to patch up Lethal wounds, unfortunately."  (in this campaign, anyways)

Nathan using 1 of his Potions and Heart using 2 of his sounds fair to me.  Make sure to subtract those 2 Potions from your sheet.  And make sure that you also be very careful with Heart for the rest of the day, because only a Full Restore/Max Potion will be able to heal more than 1 HP for him for the remainder of the day since you had to use 4 artificial means of healing.

As you get closer and closer to Elanor, you start seeing occasional Deyo flower volunteers. There are even a few touristy signs pointing to different meteor craters.

Route 14 West Encounters

1. Name: MSC Quarry
This houses the strongest Pokemon. Up to two people can adventure here, and this is where pink Pachirisu wants to lead Shiva.
Cap: 2

2. Name: Donnegan's Crater
Named for a navigator who crashlanded south of here following some lights in the sky. When he staggered off his ship, he eventually wound up here and discovered this crater. Touristy.
Cap: None

3. Name: Hidden Hilltop Crater
Shiva's sixth sense and a hint of Deyo flowers high above you indicate a possible crater site. Shiva's senses have also been prickling her, indicating a powerful presence a few miles northwest. Something seems to be calling her...
Cap: 1

4. Name: Picnic!
Some trainers have gathered for a picnic. A sign says all are welcome! Cute Pokemon are running everywhere and there is no shortage of food or trainers. You could trade or battle here.
They also have a telescope set up for comet watching! They don't look too worried. Some look excited!
Cap: None

5. Name: Elanor Field
You've started seeing the little delicate yellow flowers that Elanor is named for, but now you've discovered a giant field of them! They only grow a few inches high, so not a whole lot of Pokemon could be hidden here.
Cap: 1

6. Name: Pond
The bank is the beginning of Elanor Field. Fishing is allowed here, it says.
Cap: 1

The caps listed are for encountering the Pokemon/items/battles there. If you want to explore a location afterward that's fine.

When Spira sees the crater he decides to check out the 'tourist trap'
Action: taking Encounter 2, seems peaceful enough to Spira, and a good change of pace compared to what he's been through.

People, if you hear or see (or both) a huge explosion, I want to warn its kinda my fault. The eletric station was swarm with at least two Electrode that I find. One of them explode and deal a lot of lethal damage on me, Typhon and Netune. I send right away Typhon to my PC to get medical treatment, and I patch the wounds of Netune with a Hyper Potion. I put a good Super Potion on me, but still have some serious wounds. If anyone could please come here with Potions or healing moves I would gladly a lot. I am in the camp here where we make.

*Flashback?*

When not one but two loud and unmistakable Explosion *BOOM!*s filled the air, Terra instinctual flung himself to the ground and recalled his Pokemon with near lighting swiftness, as he in no way wanted him or his own be subjected to such devastation. He'd and his Pokemon already been nearly blown to smithereens before, and it was an experience he shan't not repeat if he could prevent it!

Fortunately, the Explosions turned out to be nowhere near him, so he got up off the ground and dusted himself off, looking glad none of his important bits hadn't gone blown off, but also confused about that at the same time. "Not Exploded.....good. Very Good. But.....where? Know I heard them...."

Soon enough he got his answers in a form of a text from Heart, which he read and his expression promptly turn gravely alarmed, his face paling in mortification before he shoved his 'Dex into a pocket and bolted towards camp with the frantic energy of being chased by an angry Genie. No no no no no no no, this was bad bad bad. Friend was hurt, seriously hurt . He needed to get to their side QUICKLY!

By the time he charged onto the scene, he had found that Nathan had already beaten him to the punch and patched up the rare collector, causing him to halt in his tracks in a brief moment of stunned shock, before slumping down and letting out a near explosive *SIGH* of relief and he marched right over to the two trainers.

"Heart, you okay? Nathan, you treat all his injuries?"

Once he gets confirmation from the two (presumably), the sagely monk nods......before one of his fists flies out to conk Heart on the head, with enough force behind it to sting but not seriously hurt. His expression, full of anxious relief a moment prior, was now replaced with worried anger and chastisment instead, his eyes boring into them with Laser Focus.

".....Fool. Why were you messing with Electrodes? Everyone knows they like to go BOOM. At anytime, on anything, holding nothing back. So why. "

*Beat*

".....Unless you did not know. Know you were......dealing with Electrodes. Thought they were Pokeballs instead. *Shakes head* ......Still. Could have checked at safe distance if Item was Pokeball or not. Or had Pokemon ready to deal with......potential trouble."

*Clenches fists*

"What happened.......was preventable. If you took......precaution. But you did not. Acted without care.....and paid the price."

Terra's stare had turned into a full on glare at this point, and his next words were uttered in a tone akin to two boulders scrapping past each other.

"Don't let this happen again. Can't protect you from all danger.......or from your own mistakes. Only you can. Nobody.....wants to see you suffer from them.....or worse."

Saying thus, the mountain of a man turns his back on the battered man, and stalks off to scout the path ahead. He needed so time to himself to......calm down, lest he continue to throttle and Intimidate Heart for his shortsightedness. Part of him knew that what happened was not totally their fault, but he just couldn't help but be firm with them about it anyway. Such mistakes were avoidable, as he said, and if him being mean about hammering that in caused his friend not to repeat them......so be it.

If they resent him for it too....so be that as well. It was his duty to see that his friend's well being was taken care of, and sometimes in order to do that he had to be harsh.

*Flashback End?*

Nathan's a little relieved as well when he sees Terra show up.  "Yeah, he and Netune will be fine.  They just need to avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the d..."

...and is promptly cut off by Terra slugging Heart.  Nathan and Gallade can't help but stare in surprise and shock!  (Ditto and Dedenne completely ignore it, however, and continue running around while playing with each other)

After Terra leaves, Nathan sighs and addresses Heart again.  "...well, he's right, but I don't think he had to put it that harshly...I think almost getting blown to smithereens is lesson enough, to be honest...just be more careful in the future, alright?"

As the Deyo Flowers start popping up more and more frequently, Nathan's positive that means there's a decent source of MSC nearby.  "Seems like we're almost at one of the craters where Deyo Flowers grow most frequently, Dedenne!  Those places are often frequented by rare and potentially strong pokemon, though...we'll have to be careful...hmmmm...better safe than sorry...might need some help on this one..."

Nathan knows that Terra ran ahead, but he's about 99% certain that he can catch up no problem.  So when Nathan and Gallade do eventually catch up, with two tiny electric mouse pokemon with massive whiskers (relative to their size) in tow, Nathan's quick to try and catch the wanderer's attention!

"Terra!  Wait up a sec, will ya!  Need your help with something!"

Once Nathan's caught Terra's attention, Nathan brings up what exactly that 'something' is. "Lots of Deyo Flowers around. We're probably near a source of Meteoric Superconductor. I'd like to try and get some to experiment with it a little, though rare and possibly powerful pokemon are often near the stuff. Might need a little help. Don't want to walk right into a dangerous pokemon face first without backup if one happens to be there." Not sure how much of that Terra understood, but the main message should be clear!

By the time Nathan beaten enough feet to pull up alongside Terra, they noticed that the mountain of a man no longer looked like he was about to hit someone (again), and was holding what looked to be a small (well, proportionally so) notepad and was scribbling stuff down on it, mumbling as he did so.

"Hm.....maillard reaction could convert soft carbohydrate into rigid crunchiness........but simple application of vaporization of water and pressurized vessel would enhance light and fluffy texture. Hm....."

Closer inspection of the notepad would reveal it to hold some bizarre miss mass of technical jargon concerning 'heat of reaction and their applications under/with varying pressures and/or volumes' and what looked to be a recipe for...... Berry Dumplings? What?

Hearing his friend's earnest shout obviously caused his focus to snap toward them, making him halt, blink, and perk up, before he turn his scrutiny away from.....whatever he was jotting down and looked at them wild mild curiosity and concern.

"Hm? Need help? With what? Or.....who?"

The rugged wanderer's expression tightened for a brief second; no doubt he had a particular 'who' in mind. Thankfully (for everyone), the young intellectual's request was just for some added protection as they tinkered around with/searched for MSC, which was something he was all too happy to do! Well, almost -  the mention of Deyo Flowers caused his face to scrunch up in almost fearful anxiousness for a moment......before it shifted into ponderousness .

'Hm.....Deyo Flowers bad......but maybe can make them good? Processed ingredients are different from raw form......could neutralize badness from flowers, and create useful products from them. Hm......'

After about a half minute of thinking it over, Terra eventually nods his head.

"Okay. Will help you in experimentation with MSC too, if you want."

He then casually pulls out the biggish and uniquely patterned chunk of MSC he found and kept from the Safari Heartlands, and held it out to the boy.

"Here. Is that enough? If not, we can dig for more. Have mining equipment and Angie with me, so doing that not a problem. *Beat* What are you trying to learn with it? MSC good base material......can be used for almost anything."

*Beat 2*

"Oh, and can you help me collect.....Deyo Flowers? Need them for......own experiment."

(Here's the chance to have Nathan ask were he found his MSC chunk, and learn about the cave pictures he took! He'll share that info with the rest of the group later tonight, so don't worry about any other characters missing out on this mates!)

First off, Nathan blinks in surprise when he sees that huuuuge chunk of Rooted MSC.  "...wow, that's...a lot of MSC...why are those tendrils still wriggling, though?  And more importantly, where the heck did you even find that in the first place?  I mean, that might be enough for testing how it might react to Dedenne's electricl abilities, but I don't actually have any idea how much I'll need exactly..."

Second, Nathan can't help but ask with a raised eyebrow, "...what kind of experiment, outta curiosity?  And since when do you 'conduct experiments'?"  Suffice to say, there's a few reasons Nathan's asking those previous two questions...it's a weird combination of being both skeptical and confused...
