[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
As far as what Shiva senses is concerned, Nathan has a question for Gallade: "Do you sense anything in that direction, buddy?"  Maybe Gallade's reaction might provide some further information...

Amazing.  Nathan definitely walks away from that feeling like a winner.  Even that Pidgey wasn't such a bad thing to get!  Why?  Because it'll probably evolve quickly at this point in the adventure and it can learn Feather Dance more easily than any other pokemon!  (Shame that exp range was 1 off from Twister and 5 off from Feather Dance, though)

Another (very rare) Dragon for his growing collection (and their Loyalty is bumped up to 2 due to Nathan's awakened blood! Whoo!), a pokemon to help Juliet with learning Feather Dance, a fully evolved (if unruly) starter pokemon...overall, that turned out pretty great for Nathan!  Hopefully Krabby, Phanpy, and Sandslash can find good homes in the future.

There is one more thing Nathan wants to do concerning the WT stuff: what are the OTs for these 3 pokemon? And are they all contained in standard pokeballs?

"So up that way," he points toward the crater he came from, "There are 'Wonder Trades' going on, first three are free, all after that are $200, and there are three types of trades you could do, a Random Pokemon swap, an item & Pokemon swap, and type swap." He also informs them of what the stall runner said about the type trade:
Quote:"Finally, you can pull from the color-coded paper bags, one color for each type! Yellow is electric, a very popular one right now! But be warned, that pool is smaller, so it might be less likely to contain a rare Pokemon. But it could contain something wonderful!"

Terra thanks Spira for the heads up, and meanders up to the WT Stall and decides to trade the following away: A single one of his Vileplumes, and two Eggs he has that he never got to hatching, the Vileplume holding an Antidote, and the two Eggs holding an Chesto Berry and Energy Powder. While gambling (and gambling without knowing the odds, at that) is not something the sagely monk approves all the much, the opportunity to obtain Rare and/or Interesting Pokemon is too good to pass up. If he ends up getting 'bad' ones, he'll just trade them away or feed them to Genie/Melly. Simple as that.

Oh, and if its possible, could I have an passive Intimidate Roll (As in, Terra is not vocally/actively trying to Intimidate him) to help 'persuade' the Vendor running the operation into making the odds for my chara just a little better? He's a BIG, scary man, so the common folk should make a better effort to keep on his good side!

Before heading to the town with everyone he decided to check the Beldum Egg.

Thanks to the Moltres Egg's warmth, the Beldum should hatch sometime in Elanor!

Same for the Cherubi Egg.

With that on mind, Heart finally return with the others, feeling strong and better.

When he meet the other, Heart approach Spira/@Mikaruge108 and talk with him. "So, I heard you begin to get more used and better in battling. How about when we get in our destination you and I get some battle? I want to see the skills of someone who train under the wing of a Gym Leader."

Gallade stares in that direction, then suddenly startles, as though he has pierced a veil! He senses great danger, much like in the Caldera, but not any hostility.

They're all in standard Pokeballs.

Let's do passive at -5. Implying you have to be VERY naturally intimidating to do it without meaning to!

Intimidate: (1)(3)(2)(3)(5)(4)

The vendor doesn't know what's in the bags either, but he does allow you to slip berries and powder into the bags with the Eggs even though that would normally be against the rules. He just doesn't protest, stands silently by.

1. (2)(1) Vileplume is traded for a rare Pokemon - an Espeon. Holding... (3)(3) A spare Pokeball.
2. (4)(4) Egg1 is traded for a Diglett holding (6)(3) a Great Ball.
3. (6)(1) Egg2 is traded for a Rattata holding (3)(1) A Hyper Potion.

Gotcha! Espeon was caught!

Diglett knows up to XP 15, and Rattata only knows Quick Attack and Bite. More info available on request, but they are just standard mons traded by beginner trainers.

Well, Nathan will be keeping those names in mind, just in case!  Never know who you'll run into, after all!

-----------------------------

"...so whatever's there, it's powerful, and hidden from most if you're not looking for it?  If it's not hostile, though...hmmm..."

The fact that Gallade can sense something there too so long as he's focusing on it...it certainly sends a message, doesn't it?

"...I'll check it out too, Shiva.  Looks like our experiment is going to have to wait a little longer, Dedenne.  Thanks for being patient, though."

...and that's all Nathan says on the matter for now.  It should go without saying that everyone who investigates the area should be prepared and avoid causing unnecessary trouble.

There's one preparation that I'd like to make: I'd like to use the PC that's at the WT station to swap Emolga for Solomon. He didn't get to see most of what happened during the Time Traveling, so he won't want to miss this too if it turns out to be as significant as what happened at the Caldera! Aside from that, Nathan's good to go!

Taking a slight detour from Elanor, some of you (definitely Shiva and Terra, and probably Nathan it sounds like?) come to a thick jungle of thorns in the middle of the wilderness. Flowers bloom on each thorny twig, and a mass of trumpetvines hangs down from one massive tree looming through the fog. Minicorn stirs excitedly in her egg at this sight.

The tree turns out to be a fig tree, several trunks descending from just one central canopy. A large grove is formed, with orchid flowers blooming in every crevice. There are sickle-shaped symbols on many of the trunks, grown from living wood (quite different from Scimitar symbols). You can all feel the Earthpower coursing up through your feet from the soil. While your feet sink two or three inches into the rich dirt, your footprints actually fade away as you advance. If your foot should happen to fall on a twig, the twig bursts into orchid flowers.

Some of the flowers twitch as you pass. You're hearing a lot of rustling noises. Vaporeon cloaks herself in Aqua Ring and Acid Armor. Gallade probably readies a Swords Dance or at least shifts into a defensive stance, just in case his instincts are a little misplaced.

Pulling aside one last set of trumpetvines, you now face a gigantic wedge-shaped mass of wriggling flowers. They unfold a little, peering at you with triangular pink eyes, then scurrying to the back waving tiny legs as the mound rears up. It spreads and crosses two gloriously pink scythes, so brightly colored that it hurts your eyes. New color is constantly rushing into this large being even as the outermost petals of its body fade to brown and fall to the ground, where they become rich soil in a matter of minutes.

The being's form is insect-like, similar to a Scyther/mantis, but in truth its nature is entirely a bloom. Every limb is decorated with golden jewelry and radiating health and power.

Cottonee, Cherrim - their Pokeballs all split at the hinges, falling into two pieces. The released Pokemon bow to the primal being before them.
Gallade also plunges one blade into the ground and sinks to one knee. Solomon bows from the waist, and his gems and runes glow.

The massive Pokemon speaks! "Into my grove you have come. Now, be you friend or foe?"

Hmmmmm...pink scythes and mantis-like?  I can name an existing pokemon that looks kinda like that...

Nathan gives the being a respectful bow as well.  "...ideally, friend.  My pokemon and I certainly don't wish to cause any trouble."
