[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
That reminds me, Terra (@Lord Windos) still needs to teach the rest of his pokemon FLASH.  Again, I have a list here if you need an easy one to reference, Windos.  (Just keep in mind I did it from memory, so I may have missed a pokemon or two)

---------------------------------------------------

Nathan would hand the FLASH HM back to Shiva (@PhantomUnderYourDesk) upon seeing her, along with a simple, "Thanks."  He did say he would give it back, so Shiva didn't need to ask for it to be returned.

----------------------------------------------------

Nathan doesn't really comment on how pumped Gallade is.  Though his best friend's attitude IS rubbing off on him a little, Nathan's also rather grimly determined to see this through.

They're going to the Skull Ruins.  A place that's so dangerous and terrifying, even just reading about the horrors within gave him nightmares.

The place where the cause of those dreaded Vines resides.  Where an out of control Legendary is according to Celebi.

Where his father disappeared.

If they...well, he...is going to get through this, he can't afford to let any of that intimidate him.  No matter how much it scares and/or worries him.

So Nathan takes a deep breath and simply nods to Gallade without any other comment.  Yeah, they can do this. They can find out what happened to his dad, find the artifacts, stop Deoxys...

They have to.

It's almost time...Nathan's just waiting on that permit to be sent to his PC...he's thinking hard about which pokemon he wants to bring along in the meantime...

--------------------------------------------------

Overnight, Nathan was probably sleeping with Orthros by his side again. Something about the warm doggie being right there is just extremely comforting for Nathan.

Forget the fact that the species can cause literal nightmares. Nathan's never had any problems with Orthros doing that. If Orthros is doing anything at that time, it's probably making sure Nathan has good dreams. Heck, maybe they're playing together there. Orthros doesn't need to sleep, after all, and I could totally see him squeezing in some extra play time at the dead of night, and that'd definitely count as a good dream in Nathan's books.

Nathan isn't necessarily planning to bring Orthros to the Ruins, but he certainly doesn't want to miss a moment with one of his most trusted companions.

Soon...Orthros's evolution isn't far off, probably...and once Nathan has a Key Stone, all he'll need is a Delta Houndoomite...soon...Nathan honestly can't wait for when that day comes...

...yet another reason to do his absolute best tomorrow when they go to the Ruins...they pull this off, and he's one step closer to unlocking Orthros's true potential...

...zzzzzz...

---------------------------------------------

And before I forget, Day 78 is a Monday! Which means...

Mizu has a chance to grow a little more! 4* Insight + 5 Knowledge + 3 Lore - 6 Base HP = 6 D6 (...hmmmm...gonna have to work on increasing that Lore and/or Insight so evolving her will actually be possible...)

After Spira sets up his party, he goes through his stuff in his bag, pulling out a worn-out book, his textbook from his days as a Gym trainer; "A Concise Look at Ghost Pokemon, 4th Edition" and leafs through it coming across a black-and-white/sepia-tone picture that he had left in the book to keep it safe
He smiles at the picture, puts it, and the worn-out book, back into his bag then finishes up getting ready for the trip into the Skull ruins.

When Heart get enough time, he takes a moment to have a chat with one of his Pokemon. His companion D-ONIX. They watch the sky, with the big meteor coming right away to Earth. "Things will get nasty my friend. More than ever, we will have to save this region again. Probably the world. Never I could imagine how my life could turns out in this region."

Heart than look to his friend. "I never got you a name right? It's been a while since we are together, so I think you deserve a name. How you think about Quetzel? A flying serpent who was respect as a god? I think it's a fitting name."

"I might need your help tomorrow. We gonna go inside the skull Ruins, so your Dig skills might help. But I might need you too to evolve, and become stronger. But I not force to evolve if you don't want. But I need you to listen to my orders without question because if you not in a critical moment...we all gonna die. I lost my own family once. I will not loose another one. Be my friends or Pokemon."

Action: Moment of bond with D-ONIX. I want to raise my conecconne with D-ONIX to raise his Loyalty at least to another point, so I can counter his disobedience if he become a Steelix. It can be my Third and last Encounter.

Quetzal is one of the inspirations for the flying serpent. It's a good name.

Onix does look forward to digging, and hasn't gotten to do much since the kidnapping. The underground is his home, so he shouldn't be unduly destructive down below.

When you mention evolving, D-Onix's feathered crest perks up. He wants to sniff at the Metal Coat, which intrigues him. He cocks his head like a parrot, and slowly begins backing down into the soft earth of Elanor. Do you follow?

Quote:Gloom just needs to be out of his ball to learn those : ) He has mixed feelings about Angela but overall has enjoyed their constant sparring, so he will wave goodbye with that feather and learn some Angela-ic moves.

Yay!~ Shiva's not suprised as he summons himself at last and is quick to take back the Item she gave him if he took part in this battle and hand him that lovely angelic feather again. She is suprised and enraptured though as he suddenly dances around super-cutely while glowing in a healthy pinkish-pale light, and knees down to affectionately stroke his cheek. It looks like she has lost most of her hesitations towards his partial Poison Type. "One day, one day you will face her again, dear one - you're stronger already, I'll help you growing even MORE so she better beware of you!~

Quote:"This Stantler horn carving is great, Shiva. I know just what outfit to go with it. And what els- PINK PACHIRISU???? IT'S SO CUTE! Ahhhh what can I trade for it. I'll factor in this gift, I must. Hmmm..."

"I have a Pretty Ribbon, two Fairy Gems, three Roseli Berries, a Dazzling Gleam TM, one of each Glass Shard, and two extra Moonglass and Shimmerglass. Ugggh, that's not enough. I'll give you a Whipped Dream, my collection of Spritzee scents, an Odd Incense, a Cherubi, a Hoppip, and a Skitty. That should be enough, right?"

Aww, any honest praise is going down Shiva's throat like oil.

She also can't help but to laugh joyfully upon seeing Angela so eager to get this adorable pink Pachirisu into her Poison-Type-slaughtering-hands, this reminds her a lot on herself if something has caught her interest enough. Shiva's quick to take her by the hands to make her calm down a bit. "Angela, Angela, that's not just enough, that's actually WAY TOO MUCH for this cute pink fella!! Σ(°▽°|||) I'm not greedy, and by no means I can accept that much from you... I-I'm fine with the Fairy Gems, two of your three Roseli Berries, the TM, one of each shard, that Incense and your Hoppip, okay? Please keep the rest, I've got some Spritzee Scents myself, I don't even have a Swirlix to begin with also!"

Mechanics:
That sounds much more fair, lolz. I wish to teach Dazzling Gleam to my Spritzee with that TM... Yesyes, it's not on the ?-moves list, but it's been said formerly that every Fairy Type can learn it when we found a disc coding this move in Ancestor's Cave. It's on Miasmedic's list of learnable TM moves, so I'd be fine to agree that Spritzee can't learn it until having evolved.
*crosses her fingers that this Hoppip maybemaybemaybe knows Memento*

Gotcha! Hoppip was caught!

Quetzel digs a loose tunnel in the direction of the mine, but more downward and not quite so far north. Let's see if Heart can keep up!

(5)(5)(3)(4)(5) v (3)(3)(2)(1)(3) Actually, you easily pull up right behind Delta Onix and safely worm your way through all the crevices. Onix gives you a nod of respect. He leads you to a small limestone cavern, walls still damp. You judge that you are now a mile outside the bounds of Elanor. Sitting in the cavern are a few big lumps of rust-orange stone, very dense and very heavy and just a little sparkly. Delta Onix licks at them happily, then turns to Heart to see what he thinks.

Aside from that Onix thing, it is now Day 78.

Though the day is overcast and threatens rain, everyone is outdoors in a brightly-lit scene. Why? Because the Comet is clearly visible in the morning sky, twinkling like a devil's gaze. As it passes through the outer extremities of the atmosphere, it changes color to a hazy purple, giving a violet cast to Creshire below. It seems quite clear now, according to the news, that the comet will strike somewhere in the Elanor Plains.

And the permit has arrived in each of your inboxes, along with two Steel Balls and two Super Potions for each of you. Nurse Joy can print that out, but she doesn't make eye contact as she hands it over.

"Wow." Simple say Heart when he see those caverns. "We must be outside of Elanor. Thanks Arceus I am very quickly." When he see orange stone things, Heart make a look. He approach the little stones and think for a second. "I think I have see those things before." He search in his bag until he finds a Hurtloam. "Could it be?"

Heart then touch the lumbs of orange stone, trying to focus his connection with Earthpower, trying to see if this things is Hurtloams too, or something else.

No, definitely not Hurtloam. Hurtloam is soft, like dirt. This is an ore of some kind, and doesn't seem to resonate with Earthpower any more than a normal stone.
