Kelda is a little older than Shiva. Arachnautilus is a year or two younger than Shiva and slightly older than Nathan, I think. Like 17 or 18.
The elemental blades can indeed deal lethal wounds.

Arachnautilus: "I trained by reading everything I could get my hands on - strategy, magical theory, Pokemon energy theories, that kind of thing. Then I just dueled and dueled until I could always win."

Shiva, you are one of the strongest trainers in Creshire, able to easily defeat most Gym Leaders. Very few individuals are stronger than you unless they cheat somehow.

Since Heart will gonna have become partner of one of those Scims, he will like Shiva and not choose strength or weakness.

Candidates:
- Can be either female or Male.
- What kind of pokemon he/she carry.
- Spells and other survival skills.
- The most less extreme of the Scims.
- How it become a Scim and stuff.

How about Gendry, a man with lots of tanky Pokemon such as Arbok, Serperior, and Scolipede. He also has Absol.
He doesn't have survival skills per se, but he says he has a heightened danger sense. In fact, he became a Scim recently, because the comet worried him.
He seems to be a well-grounded man.

Heart raise a eyebrows towards the men. "Hmm. Nathan/@Dragonstrike can I borrow I borrow Gallade for a minute?" If permit, Heart ask Gallade if the things Gendry tell is legit and if he is telling any kind of lie. "Gendry huh? Care to tell me a little about yourself? Past life before be a Scimitar, spells or skills, etc. And if the Comet was the only reason you join them."

Here's another option for Nathan should Shiva choose Kelda:

Grim
This is a somewhat dim Scimitar, at least on the outside. But like Terra, he has more simmering beneath the surface. You figure he truly believes the Scimitars are the only way to defeat the threat of the Comet, and he probably doesn't know your party's reputation. He carries Electric, Ground, and Flying types, only three Pokemon sensed by Gallade. He'd very much like to make humanity proud.

"Before I was a Scimitar, I was a bouncer at a nightclub. Mostly for show, you know. But I was having a little trouble controlling my Pokemon, so that is part of why I joined up. My favorite spells are Coiled Strike, which makes you faster and hit harder, and Entangling Wrap, which traps a foe and squeeeeezes them. You just outlast them, you know."

Cosh:

"Well. The time approaches, Nathan. Your companions vouched for your story, our spells determine you may be telling the truth... though we are not so adept at mind tricks as the Water Scimitars. You say you know the entity. You know its name, and that name alone will prove its cooperation. Despite the horrid legends surrounding the Kadabra Chambers... I am prepared to believe you, to forsake my orders and risk my rank on this compromise. All you have to do is speak that name. If you do, and everything is as you say, we five Scimitars shall accompany you alone into the Ruins to seek the Artifacts and wield them together as best befits the world. I give my word on it. Speak that name now, and let us venture forth!"

Gallade detects no duplicity. He is focusing hard to get past the steely nature of Cosh's mind. It's a bit like reading Terra. Yes, there's something a bit more than human to Cosh.

Humm, that makes Kelda at Spira's age, let's go with 18 for Arachnautilus to make her one biological year younger than Shiva. ^^ That makes me wonder how old you have to be to become a Scimitar, or whether age plays a role at all.


Now THAT'S some determination, and it impresses Shiva even more. And if she's being honest, the point 'always wanted to know magic' is a common ground between the natural fae-enthusiast and the edgy spider-helix-woman. "That means you Scims duel each other for training, just like...'normal Trainers' hold Pokemon battles? Without the Pokemon being hurt at all?! That sounds like fun. ( ÒωÓ)و☆ "

In the end, Shiva holds out an open hand to take towards Arachnautilus. "...Partners? Just during our trip into these Ruins, of course. THEN we can hate each other openly again." Shiva smirks, she's probably serious about that last part. "DON'T YOU DARE trying anything funny as otherwise I have to defend myself in full blast, but on the other hand you surely can slap me shall I try to cheat or betray you or your people. Okay? ...Deal?" She's calmly waiting for an answer while staring into... eh..."I'll just call you 'Arachna'. If I may. Nice nickname, hehe... I go by 'Shiva'."

Shiva's too proud to let someone who's younger than herself bring her down, so shall Arachna act condescending towards her: She'll either become wrathful and want to shred Arachna and all her Pokemon mid-air, or it'll encourage her to take leaps of faith she usually wouldn't take.

(...) Arachnautilus might be described as "edgy." She has her Scimitar cloak lined with black and silver and has adopted a Spinarak-Omanyte motif. Naturally those both appear in her party. She's haughty and wears too much makeup and lots of jewelry, but your gut feeling is that she is VERY strong in the way Shiva defines strength. Also, she's the only one whose gauntlet hasn't been sparking at all. She's probably one of the most competent Scimitars here, but she'll probably be condescending at times. She's also one of the youngest.
Party: Ariados, Omastar, Aerodactyl, Sandslash, Murkrow, Weavile
You get the gut feeling there is some special connotation about the presence of Omastar in her party.
Her favorite spell is Web and she considers herself very competent. She participates in duels and usually wins. (...)

If Cosh was addressing the group as a whole with his last question (Which is bolded), then Terra answers easily as such: "Strength. If I work with someone I don't trust, then I want them strong enough that they don't fear or hate me too much. Keep me in on guard and....in control, as I do to them. Stronger they are, the more they can help out too. Simple."

"Strength? Hehe! Oh, you might like Renekton. He knows a lot of spells for moving objects, hurling rocks, breaking boards...breaking bones, if it comes to that. He's also a martial artist."

"For a different kind of strength, there's Elya. She knows a great Tremor spell, spells for phasing through the ground, spells for dampening electrical or heat attacks. But feel free to make your choice of partner using whatever criteria you wish."
Well Cosh's description of Elya catches Spira's attention, specifically the phasing part. "She's not my final decision... yet... but I'd like to talk to Elya." If he can, Spira would try to get a good look at her face as he addresses the Scimitar; "I take it you might be a fellow ghost-type user, might I ask what your current team is?"
Y'all keep talking about teams but Scims don't think in those terms.

Elya: "I use Ghost energy to power some of my spells, but more frequently I use Ground energy."


She has 3 ground types, 1 ghost type, a flying type, and a grass type.

"What is your preferred style of combat, I get you are strong, but how do you use that strength?" This is the crucial point of what Spira is looking for, if she doesn't meet the criteria, he's going to try finding one (even if it means interviewing the pre-gauntlet acolytes) that balances pure brawn and smarts, preferably one that wouldn't clash with his personality.

Well then, since Shiva's pairing with Arachnautilus, that gives Nathan a choice between Grim and Kelda...

One joined because they firmly believe the Scims can stop the Comet, and seems like a good person...

The other doesn't know what they're fighting for, only having joined because they have family among the Scims' ranks.  But again, they don't seem like a bad person on first examination...

At the moment, Nathan has one question for both of them: "If someone was in danger or suffering, and you were the only one who could help them, what would you do? To be clear, I want a general answer, not really anything pertaining to any specific situation."

Nathan knows what his answer to that question is. It's a question he's had to ask himself many times on his journey...his answer is always the same, though.

"Ah so you was the one who make those Wraps...thats...interesting." Heart look to him and then sighs. "Well, guess I have no choice them. We gonna be partneers...for now. Just point those Spells very away from me, and we are cool. Deal? We might need that hight sense skills of yours."

"If you want names, call me Heart. I do not use spells but..." Heart then ignite his hands. "...I have the bless of the Earthpower itself." He then disapear the flame in his hand. "We gonna work together for now until this crisis is over. Understood?"

Arachnautilus doesn't take your hand. "I hate you openly right now, but I'm willing to put that aside for a chance to see the Kadabra Chambers and the rest of the Ruins. Dueling isn't as fun as it sounds... but OK, it's pretty fun. We can try it sometime, your Pokemon against my spells. Just don't tell the boss."

This offer to duel, you sense, is kind of like an olive branch coming from Arachnautilus.
