If not, Terra would be more than happy to lend some of his healing supplies to you ASAP in order to treat Charizard's grisly injuries. Man, the fire drake should have easily dodged the dark faker, but those treacherous dice.....grrr.

I've got 2 Hypers (1 after using one on Charizard).  Was hoping to save them for later, but...well, this is what I bought them for, after all.

Shame my strategy didn't fully work, but stuff happens.  I'm just glad a literal One Hit Kill on Charizard wasn't possible.

I've also got 5 Supers, 3 Standards, 2 Super Orchids, and 5 Potion Orchids.  Plus the 1 Revive Orchid and 4 Revives.  And 3 Sceptile Seeds for Grass types.  And lots and lots of status healing items.  I double checked that I had lots of healing items before I spent my cash on other things.

On a different note...FLASH inflicted a -4 Accuracy penalty when Calam used it...hmmmm...interesting...I wonder if that has something to do with the Ruins specifically or if Calam just has an innately stronger FLASH due to the exact nature of his Fairy typing and how it's presented...?

You're positive it wasn't Calam's doing, but rather the nature of the foe or setting.

Terra definitely picked the Encounter he was best suited for.

These encounters are fun for me. I like the touch of darker mood, and it's a good challenge to try to make it still feel like Pokemon.

Yeap! I choose it for that very reason, as I had the strong suspicion that it was going to be a orney challenge, what with the obvious signs of past bloodshed around the place. Was not expecting Blindness to be a factor in things, be it just makes for all the spicier Encounter!

I like them too, even if the Lethal Damage we're taking at the start is sapping up of our resources FAST. Oh well, such is the nature of the hardest dungeon in the game, am I right?

Raffiti?  Doesn't it have a spray can for a tail instead of a paintbrush? Ratsy is the one with a paintbrush tail.

I definitely think that the Ruins are making it very apparent that they aren't a friendly place.  At all.

My bad, didn't check before describing. It's a Raffiti by stats, but it'll just go ahead and have a paintbrush tail because it fits the ancient setting better.

Night, Iron! May your tomorrow be good and grand!

....And Spira joins everyone else in 'How the Skull Ruins Turned My Life Downside Burning In HELL.' Yeesh.....

Of course, if he had two Pokemon out with him to both help take care of the coven/divide their attention, things may have gone a LOT differently for the Ghost Breeder. That's another piece of advice I have for you, mate: Always have two Pokemon out with you in a tough as nails area or fighting big threats, as you need all the bodies you can get to survive the punishment they'll dish out. I'd recommend you'd just run away from the witches and re-group with the rest, but they used Mean Look on you all, so.....you're screwed unless you have 'Mons that can do Spread Damage, or you can get a message out to the others to come bail you out while you stall for time. Also, even if you want to catch a Pokemon, sometimes its just better to Faint them than trying to procc Status with Attacking Moves, as you'll save yourself a bunch of trouble that way. Sure, you can't Sleep/Confuse a Pokemon if they are Fainted, but better that then half your team getting buried trying to fully status one or more of a particular fiend.

Gonna concur with Windos on thus one, @Mikaruge108.  Using only one mon is great for pooling the exp and all, but it makes things WAY harder than they need to be. Even just having multiple targets for the opposition to worry about can go a long ways towards making a barrage of enemy attacks easier to stomach.

When it comes to tougher encounters, holding back isn't usually in your best interest.  Focus on surviving the encounter first.
