[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
The Dragon slumbers, its freedom taken...

Its benevolence nothing but a long lost memory...

For even the brightest Lights still cast shadows...

And the Darkness blurs the lines between right and wrong, mercy and cruelty...

...the Light shall seek to return...

No matter what it must do.

The once chained Lion, reborn as a shapeshifter...

The mad cat, stronger as ever...

With his brothers with him, get his love humanity...

The Watchers return to their world, their job done...

Still watching this universe, to future events...

But for now, they gonna rest...

For another journey, with other ones to be...

Such is the desire, of the Spirit and the Dragon...

When Arial enter the portal, he feel his body accelerate, like a turbo car. He see all kinds of things though that portal, in a myriad raindow carrousel of madness, until he finally hit his floor in with his back. He feel still very much broken and tired after such battle, and this hit in the back was the pin of such thing. He finally stand up with Riza still in his arms, and all Pokemon finally descending from the portal. "In the name of the son of darkness....This is the last time I take portals and teleports...I alwayd ending up hitting something. Is anyone alright?"

Arial check if everyone is okay and counscious. Both his and Riza Pokemons. He also check around the place they are now...along with Riza situation...and the chained Legendary he was witth him.

For clarification, their is only a SINGLE black chain link/loop on Necro's choker/collar, but a full length of chain DOES fully materialize in Arial's hands when Arial/Spiritmon started talking about it (physical and/or mentally). You had the instinctive feeling that the full chain appears based on your will/desires, and that its invisible to most other people and Pokemon, so for all intents and purposes your control over the humanized Ultra beast is practically undetectable on a casual glance. Zuryk certainly thought of everything when it came to keeping Necrozma on a leash both literally and discretely!

It should also be noted that Dragonfighter and Blooderfly were rather agitated and antsy with you touching Riza's body at first, as they really didn't have much reason to trust/like the madman that much now that their mistress was dead due to giving her life for you. With the Dark Goddess' reassurances that the cuddlebug would be resurrected, the viscous bug became notably more calm/tame , looking visibly relieved and almost tearful that she was going to be alright after all. Of course, it didn't cause them to suddenly bow down in supplication to them, nor being hostile and wary towards them to a degree, but you could tell they were at least grateful for the miracle they were going to preform. No telling how they'll react when the Vampire is unmade, but for now they were amenable to you leading them around.

You were able to easily recall Gaspar and the rest of the Pokemon, though in the case of your now big brother his Pokeball briefly went on the fritz as he was being sucked back in, due to the capture device being unused to such a large quantity of data, but it quickly sorted itself out and work as normal for the most part. Bring up your brother's Summary would still show/register it as a Duplicat, but that might as well be a happy accident, considering how much Nurse Joys/The Leagues would freak out if they found out your were packing Legendary firepower! So, horray?

---

As you posed your question to the Pokemon, each of them had their own answer.

Melchoir let out a short affirmative *RAAR!* , his posture tired but still primed and ready for any action, should it come. He was ready for this task to end, so his family may finally rest easily. The future may be wild and dangerous (especially with Necrozma around), but for the rest of the night their would only be peace and love. No matter the challenges and trails he may face, he'll stand up to them and drive them back, tooth and nail, with his family! That's what matters most!

Baltazar nodded once and floated over to your side, using its telekinetic powers to help you out by lifting Necrozma off the ground and carry her to the portal. It certainly had its fill of excitement for one lifetime frantically guard his team from a mad god of light, let alone the rest of the frankly ludicrous events it and its brothers ended up tangled up in, so some respite sounded quite good about now. Still....despite it all, it had enjoyed everything in their own way and learned so much from it, so perhaps everything that occured was not so bad in hindsight. One thing was for certain to it, though: the future was only going to get more interesting from then on - something it found itself looking forward, strangely enough.

Asura just thumped his chest twice, before resting a fist across his heart. The War of the Light and Dark was over, and they were the victors. It was time for them to return home with the spoils of their victory, and begin planning for things yet to come. For the battle they endured and struggled through was just that: a battle, blown up to epic proportions. There would be more trails and tribulations for his vassal and his kingship, so they must - no, they would be ready for them.

Airimid gave you a more that a slightly worried look after her kind gaze swept over you a couple of times, then Necro, before she let off an heavy *SIGH* of relief, smiled, and nodded. When she first came into your care, all she expected to do was being the primary health care provider and medic for quirky but good hearted trainer on his adventures- which she could naturally excel at with great enthusiasm! What she ended getting far exceeded her wildest imagination. Participating in a heated and hectic duels, supporting a raid on an abandoned laboratory filled with glowing green feral beasts, and battling against a mad god of light that now was her master's human slave, oh my! Frankly,  she was finding all of that action in such a short time a bit overwhelming (Even for her!), but never the less she would persevere and not give up, continuing to do her utmost to care for her team with a caring smile no matter what!

Zeus.....well, they just let out high pitch *Zzzt!* that managed to sound perky, excited, yet exhausted as they wobbled in mid-air, twirling their magnets at their accomplishments today! Not only had they braved the terrors of the NFR today, but they fought against a borderline literal GOD, and it was all so AWESOME! It hardly expected his life to become so chaotic and fernetic , nor that it would like it so much, but it was like feeding on a nice source of electricity - once they got a taste, they couldn't have enough! Sure, they get pretty banged up for all the trouble his master gets them into, but he's a Sturdy ferromagnetic juggernaut , so he can take all the abuse and still have a blast! Once they were rested up, they'd be ready for the next challenge, so bring it on, *Zzzztttt!*

Blooderfly and Dragonfighter's reactions have already been stated, so I won't elaborate on them, other than the fact they were quite eager to get going, so that their mistress is alive and well once more!

And so with everyone's argeement, you all enter the portal, and are transported home, with it closing behind you and dispersing into the Darkness of this world you left behind, forevermore

...

......And so the annals of history have changed, said _____

A figure stood off in the distance, cloaked in raiments of muted purple with bright silver swirling patterns, unnoticed by all, even them. A book with a worn leather cover was open in their hands, their gaze resting on its contents, before looking over to where Arial and his coalition departed back to their universe and closing it with a muted *thump*

- For better, or for worse? I know not. The only thing I know for certain is that it will have far reaching ramifications, now and yet to come, they mused, passively continuing its observations.

- ......I just hope you know what you're scheming and sowing, and are ready to handle the consequential fruits that grow from this planting of yours, Zuryk, demured the figure, putting away their book somewhere on their person, before turning around.

- ......Safe travels and good fortune, Mad Prophet, said _____

Then, they walked away, the figure slowly fading away with every step they took, until they were gone.

Arial check if everyone is okay and counscious. Both his and Riza Pokemons. He also check around the place they are now...along with Riza situation...and the chained Legendary he was witth him.

Everyone was more or less alright from their trip through the portal, if a bit discombobulated like you were (Though Zeus seemed to enjoy the feeling, at least). In fact, they seemed better than every, with all their injuries and fatigue having seemingly been left behind in the Dark world you left behind, so you could say they were better than ever before!

Necro......she was splayed out on her back, arms and legs spread wide. Her eyes were still closed and her breathing was slow, indicating she was still passed out from her ordeals. Whether that is a good thing or not will be left to the madman.

Riza, though......

The moment you check on the love of your life, you felt your breath catch in your throat.

Within your arms, was your precious cuddle bug, whole and in one piece. Alive. Her eyes were closed, and she was slumbering peacefully, like no misfortune had ever befallen her this night.

In a way, you could was more than just that.

For Riza Bete you knew no longer was

She was human.

Her skin tone was lightly tanned but pale, and was smooth and unblemished. Her hair was a dusty, dirty pale blond, short, and straight that splayed out as her head dangled daintly.

A few seconds later, her eyes slowly blinked opened. They were the color of freshly made toffee, with flecks of amber scattered throughout.

Riza looked upon you, her gaze unfocus, sleepy, but well. She then extend a hand, and lightly cupped your cheek.

"......Arial."

Her voice......oh her voice. It was light and airy like a feather, and just as soft on your ears. It was so very faint too, but whether than was natural or from it disuse remained to be determined.

"Arial......you're okay. I'm......so......glad."

She smiled at you with her full, thin lips, her dainty nose wrinkling as she did, before her eyes closed again and she drifted off into a deep slumber, one that she would not awaken from for quite awhile, judging by how quickly she conked out.

Throughout the Flower Festival, you've seen and been apart of all sorts of things that defied even your warped comprehension and tested your cracked mind and patience.

You were forcibly assigned to be a bodyguard to Reiner, the least humorous,most stern, and a fairly intolerant person you had to work with, and had to assist him in all sorts of wacky and/or perilous tasks/events, whom threatened you on multiple occasion and once even detained you against your will.

You helped him track down The Vampire, only to end up being kidnapped by her and taking her down yourself later on, and against all odds and logic you two ended up falling in love with each other.

You had to relive some of your worst nightmares by venturing into the irradiated hellhole that was the NRF, and ended up bearing witness to Mew blowing it up in a manner that closely resembled a nuclear blast itself, in both its destruction and aftermath - its a wonder you don't have/can't get PTSD from that alone.

You were nearly blown to hell by a Delta Muck and ended up getting further tangled up with a Dark God, who had sent you visions of the future prior to that moment, revived you then after putting you through emotional trauma that would be fit for Tartarus , and since then proved to be a most enigmatic figure that had no end of amusement toying and helping you for whatever ends it had.

Finally, and most recently, you bargained with that very same shady entity for your love's humanity back, and ended up having to take down a  G o d o f L i g h t  that was made your slave, had your mimic brother permanently turned into the Legendary Solgaleo, and learning so much about the nature and meaning of your existence and those beyond that it would have driven you completely insane, were you not already made as mad as starved ferret.

In a few word, you could say the vast majority of this week has been uniquely maddening, weird, and chaotic.

As you looked down upon Riza, your love, though, most of what happened to you suddenly didn't matter so much or seem so bad.

Right now, you had your entire family with you and lover, safe, sound, and better than ever from the crap you've all been put through. That's the only thing that matters right now.

The future? To hell with it! You'll deal with it as you always do: with a crazed grin, a whole lot of attitude and good humor, and your family of Pokemon.

Well, not exactly.

You have Riza with you, after all, and she has you.

Your pasts were a mess. Your futures were undecided. But the present? Tonight?

Tonight......you're gonna have a real good time.

Alright, with Arial's storyline concluded, its time to wrap up Reiner's the best I can! Per his request and permission, I'll be keeping his end of things brief and mostly un-elaborated/heavily plotted out, as he quite frankly wants his and his character's part in my campaign to be DONE with. So, without further ado:

The Quickplay Version of Reiner's Final Acts in Celadon City!

Objective # 1:

Quote:Talk with Mew in private while Mr. Mime is helping Taylor get back on her feet, see how the mythical pokemon's feeling after the big kaboom and update her on what happened if need be.  Possibly also apologize to her again.  Depending on how that goes, that'll probably determine if and when Taylor finds out about the mythical...and how much Reiner will get to explain concerning why the hell Lance is probably going to be paying Celadon a visit...

This goes simultaneously quickly but unproductively. Once you secret yourself away to Archie's/Your Private Study while leaving Mr. Mime to take care of Taylor, on the excuse you need to 'deal with various things' , much to her irritated acceptance. She doesn't like being taken care of by anyone other then her Pokemon [or you, but good luck getting her to admit that now, hehe!] but since you asked for her to take it easy, she will. The thief's curious as to what you're going to get up to (Naturally), but she's leaves it alone after you give her The Look.

Talking with Mew....doesn't happen at all. Well, sorta. When you release her, she's completely out of it, and no matter how much you tried, she wouldn't wake up. The best you got out of her was the pink panther slapping your face with her tail and mumbling 'Five more minutes, Arkus.......' From what you can tell, she's alright and back to her old self, but using Genesis Supernova in her Semi-Sociopathic and Weakened State Exhausted her to the point that she needs to rest it off the strain for who knows how long. You're no doctor, much less one with specialized Knowledge on the healthcare of Legends/Mythics (Except Mew, ironically and debately enough), but you could make an educated guess she'll be out of it for at least a couple of days.

You also take the time to update The Merchant on Mew's well-being, and it took several minutes for them to reply, it was with 'Really?' , followed by 'Great! Sorta makes what I did a total waste of time, but that don't matter if Pixie Sticks is back to her dandy and mischievous old self! Call me when she's up, so I can chatter her ear off for a bit, hahahaha!'

All's well that ends well?

Objective # 2:

Quote:- Check on Emily, ask her once more what she wants to do about her situation.  Should she stay with her family or leave to try and protect them as well as herself if bad people come after her to get at Reiner?  And if Emily's leaving, is she going to tell her parents?  She's just old enough to decide on the matter herself in the pokemon world, technically speaking.

After 'dealing' with your mischievous Mythic, you headed over to Emily's room and let yourself it, and find that she was fast asleep at the time. You ARE able to wake her up, and get a Bewear Hug and cries of happiness and relief in turn, which ends up dealing 1 HP's worth of Damage because she was that excited/grateful you were back and alive! Egad, that girl has some muscles on her! Once you manage to get her to release you (And she stammers through her apologies), you cut straight to the matter of her future fate without giving her time to ask how things were going to you. That gets her to quiet down in shock/surprise, before she asks why you were asking that of her now.

Since I don't think Reiner let anyone know he was leaving Celadon City that night, he'll explain that to her, and why he has to do so ASAP. If he did, then he reminds her of why, and that jogs her memory. Regardless, she's......less than happy about what might as well be her big brother skipping town, and has a big sulk about it, which takes a combined effort between you and Poe to bring her out of it, which entailed some time reminiscing over/talking about the pictures she's drawn all this week. These included a few new ones you have not seen, like a picture of you, Kyubi, and Mew together, some pictures of the Eevee Siblings [With you and Reiner in some of them, and the last few of Ridia's Wyvreon Evo] some nice pictures of Mina and.....some pics of having unpleasant things happen to her, even more unpleasant things happening to Archie, The Vampire and Arial....well, some of the are bad, but later ones others just show them to look like menacing villains, some pictures of her flying, etc..

When that is done, the little miss goes silent for a bit, and unusually brooding look overtaking her, before she looked to you and decided she had to leave her family and her life in Celadon City behind completely. Just.....disappear, like a Ghost, and leave no word or trace behind. No matter how much she wanted to be with them, or continue  her old way of life, she just couldn't anymore. Not if being with them would put them or Reiner in danger, and after all she's been through, seen, and heard in Celadon.....she admits that she just wants to get away from it. It isn't the wonderful, perfect place she once thought, and the terrible things that happened to her, her friend, and the citizens there......it gives her nightmares, she quietly admits. Leaving it all behind and starting afresh while continuing her dream of becoming an world class artist......it sounds to good for her to pass up. So she won't. That is that. She's clearly feeling guilty about leaving her home behind for selfish reasons (no matter how justified they are), but she's also resolved in her decision.

Its....a fairly bittersweet realization, to find out the full extent of your interactions has left her to becoming much more mature, careworn, and disillusioned, yet so talented, strong-willed, passionate, and capable little miss. Had you not ever meet her, or decided to be a crook and rob her blind on your first Encounter with her, her life and outlook would be much lighter and carefree (Save for possibly you and the dastard Archie ruining her days), and most definitely wouldn't have died and become a Doduo-Human Hybrid. Of course, she'd never have reached her full potential or gain such a great friend in you too. What if, what if......

However, she perks up from her guilty/serious slump and declares that if she want to join you, Taylor, etc. on your escape and subsequent post-Celadon City journeys, explaining quite frankly that she doesn't feel safe at all without at least the guarantee she'll you sometime in the same day, and that the thought of being apart from her savior and who she considers a big brother now for a long time (if not forever) deeply troubles, saddens, and discomforts her. The little miss is fairly adamant about it too, you can see its very unlikely you'd convince her otherwise.

"Mister.....I wanna go with you, and I don't care if it's dangerous or not. I've....I've already died once, and.....it's not like trouble or weird stuff is strange to me anyone. If I can handle all of that, then....then I can handle whatever you'll face with you, no problem at all! I promise, from the bottom of my heart!!! So please.....let me join you, big brother....."

Omph. Well...what now?

Objective # 3:

Quote:- Possibly get Porygon's help with tech stuff, including desyncing the portable PC from the Team Rocket system (stealthily), maybe opening Archie's secret safe, removing any tracking on tech provided by Team Rocket (including getting a new phone/phone number?), etc.  Gotta cut those ties if Reiner wants to escape from this evil team.

Let's do some Roooooolls!

Desyncing Reiner's Portable PC!: *Rolls* *Rolls* *Rolls....* ....Success! Its now discounted from Team Rocket's network, and they don't know about it! It still works, too! Horray!

Breaking into the Safe!: *Rolls* First attempt: Nope! Security on it tightens, making the next Roll harder!
*Rolls* Eeeeeeeee! Nope! The safe is almost impenetrable now! Still, Porygon is confidant they can break it open, so you let the digiduck go at it!
*Rolls* .....and they did it! The safe was opened! In it was:

- Three Premier Balls, one containing a Shiny Manjugold, whose's arms were made of pure yet supernaturally strong Platinum and seemed to posses Regenerative Powers (Has 3 Disobedience, Knows Recover and has the Regenerator Ability; Could harvest its Platinum for $10000 once a day, or all of it for a boat load more if you don't mind dealing a lot of Lethal Damage to it and waiting a much longer period before you can start harvesting again), a Shiny Toxepex with Regenerator, Corrosive, and Merciless as its Abilities (Normal Stats otherwise), and one that just read as ERROR! TYPE - NULL, which had an ID lock on it (Disobedience: ?, Rest of Stats Unknown).

- A few strange coloured discs. They were labeled as follows: STEEL MEMORY, FIRE MEMORY, ELECTRIC MEMORY, SHADOW MEMORY, NUCLEAR MEMORY
- A couple of Big Nuggets, and several stacks of bonds for the Platin Sterling Banking and other miscellaneous institutions (You can't really cash those in, but Mr. Mime could later!)
- Two TMs and two HMs: one TM is for Mystical Fire ? (Can be learned by anyone/thing [Including Humans and objects]; Can be cheaply upgraded to its Delta or EX form), and one for Teleport (Can be learned by any Pokemon), a HM for Expunge (Can be Taught to Nuclear types [Obviously], Steel types, and Ghost types), and a HM for.......Divination? (Can be taught to certain Psychic, Fairy, Dragon Pokemon, and certain other Pokemon beyond that [Porygon line and Kyubi being two of them])
-Three BIG Binders of Information.

Binder One was about The NRF (Summary: Archie was a backer/board member that was in part responsible for reviving NRF, Has Detailed Information on its operations/research up until a week before the outbreak happened, and several notes of him reporting his own thoughts on the place, which were mostly optimistic and hopeful (he was a believer in Nuclear Power, and its benefits), and then angry and worried (About what happened after he lost contact with the place).

Binder Two concerned the TYPE - NULL Pokemon you got, detailing how he got it (From a business deal with Lusamine, in exchange for a BUNCH of Poke and getting some scrutiny off her back; You learn from here was also in bed with the Aether Foundation as one of its board members, believing strongly in its conservation efforts), its Biological and Technical Information (AKA: A few pictures of it, Its Entry Data, Diet and Behavior Info, and Learnset; No info. exists on its Evolution [Not that Reiner would know it had one, or anyone else, really]), and his general plans for it (Guard 'Dog' for him and Kyubi, as well as doing his own research on it), and a note that states that it doesn't get along with adult all that well at all UNLESS they are 'Made of the Sternest Stuff Imaginable', is neutral towards most other Pokemon (It does not like 'Weird' Pokemon, Ultra Beasts, and has a strong rivalry with Pseudo Legendaries/Strong Pokemon), but has a 'Remarkably Gentle' attitude towards children. Hmm.....

Binder Three......it has information about a Pokemon Criminal Syndicate known as Team Cipher and Shadow Pokemon in general, and a rouge offshoot of it known only as Dark Matter.  It mainly holds only speculative info about either and not a lot of concrete details (You can ask for those, if you're curious Dragonstrike), and several notes by Archie that.....ahem, show his strong contempt for the group, and how much he wants to see them destroyed. It also has highly experimental theories concerning how to cure Pokemon that have been forcibly been Shadowized , ones that Reiner would not know if they would work or not (But you know wouldn't). As for Dark Matter, there's hardly any info on them, save for this general idea: They're a radical and more philosophical/scientific offshoot of Cipher that is only concerned with creating True Shadow Pokemon, and they're apparently located somewhere in the Tohjo Region. Looks like Archie was doing his own investigations into this group, and it seemed like he wanted to bring them down. Unfortunately, he won't be doing that anymore....

-One large portfolio, which contains.......Pokemon & Human Relationship Activist Information. More specifically, the small but sizable/influential movements in the Unova and parts of the Kalos Region that wants to 'bring back the old ways' and both Legalize it, grant Tame Pokemon more legal rights (And Married Ones the same as humans), 'normalize' it and put hate crime laws in place that stamp down on the discrimination of those in a PH Relationship/Have such inclinations, and generally grant PHR acceptance once more. It details/reveals that Archie was quite the strong supporter of these and similar movements (No surprise there), and even details how he has a big personal bank account (And other wealth/business tied to...) + a secret small non-profit corporation of his dedicated to providing funding and supporting said to such groups there and in the Tohjo region (Which is by and large a hard 'No' to such Relationship, with the excepts of Fushia City, Ecrteak City [They're neutral on it], Mahogany Town [They lean Pro-PHR], and......Blackthorn City [Roughly 20 - 25 % of the population there is in some form of a PHR, including several of the noble families [The Arendse is not one of them, but Taylor's......they're not strangers to 'Riding the Dragon', but not on a 'consistent' generational basis]). Reiner would be aware of PHR in his home town, but I imagine he'd probably try to limit it as much as possibly, given the characterization I've seen from him.

Since he controls Archie's bank accounts and most of his business deals/deeds now, Reiner could pull the plug on the corp. if he wanted to, but that would significantly set-back those movements and hurt those involved/dependent on them. I'll leave that decision up to you/him.

Reiner's Bug Scan: *Rolls* *Rolls* *Rolls* Porygon found a couple of Team Rocket Bugs on your person (One was sown in your cap, and another in a sole of your shoes), and found one bug that was identical to the one you found yourself earlier inside a dark corner of your bag. All of them were fried, however, with Porgyon's Data Report (Sent to your Phone in Binary, which was converted to Common easily enough) showing they were damaged by 'An overwhelming amount of Radiation and Psychic Energy' . A more thorough check turns up nothing else, so you guess that's ALL the bugs!

Mr. Mime would easily get you several phones (One personal one that is on the bleeding edge of advanced phone tech, and several other cheap models meant to act as burner phones), and would dispose of your old phone after Porygon transfers the old data (that's been scanned, all spy programs neutered/deleted from it, and had privacy/anti-tracing encryption sent along side it) to your new one. Sweet!

Objective # 4 & # 5:

Quote:- Check on Kyubi.  Might need her to stay at the AV for a short time so Reiner can escape more easily.  The penthouse might be able to be argued as technically hers if Reiner is supposed to be dead.  If she has access to Archie's Teleport chain, then that could alleviate some transport concerns for her whenever she needs to go somewhere else.

- Figure out what the heck to do with Angelica.  Maybe have her keep an eye on things in Celadon for Reiner for the time being?  Having an eye in the city might not be a bad thing.

It takes you a little while to find Kyubi, but you end up discovering her taking a relaxing bath back at your room, much to your surprised embarrassment and her initial shock (She seemed rather okay with you being there after she calmed down....). I assume Reiner would make for a hasty retreat thereafter and wait for her to finish after telling her he needed to speak with her about something, much to her disappointment (You could catch her pouting as you turned to retreat). She'd get out of the bath promptly, taking her only a few minutes to finish cleaning up and drying off, before leaving the bathroom with a white bathrobe on in her human form. If you asked why she was taking a bath (She is a Fire type, after all, despite her.....uniqueness), and she'd sort of awkwardly explain that she just felt the urge to do so, and found out it was not that bad at all if she kept the water at a roiling boil (You make a note to yourself to never share a bath with her for any reason).

You explain that you have to leave Celadon City tonight due to the shenanigans you did at the NRF (You explain all that to her, which she listened with rapt and horrified attention - though she seemed especially interested when you brought up Alexandria...), and that due to that it might be for the best if he left her behind/in charge of their AV Suite for a little while until things settled down with him. Naturally, it looked like the fiery vixen disapproved of that plan strongly as you laid it out, as you very well knew how much she loved and cared for you, but then the strangest thing happened: her expression slowly morph into one of........thoughtfulness midway through your explanation, and she closed off emotionally speaking. You could only catch the faintest snatch of Insight and.......guilt, before they too vanished like a puff of smoke.

After about a full three minutes from you finishing outlining your plan and rationale for her to stay behind, she finally let out a heavy *Sigh* and slowly nodded her. She says that the idea of being separated from you for a long time pained her greatly, but in the given circumstances of both you and hers, staying behind at the AV would be for the best for the time being (She stresses that point rather keenly). The kitsune looked.....defeated and unhappy about her decision (The full and comprehensive extent of which is unknown to you, as you still couldn't get a read on her emotions), and you noticed she had averted her gaze from yours shortly after she gave her consent.

Once you fully settle things with Kyubi, you most likely would wish her farewell before turning to leave and conduct your other business in Celadon before departing, but she would reach and grab one of your hands, and asks you to wait for a moment, before she looked directly at you and quietly asked if she could have a hug and kiss before you left.

"Reiner......my Master.......can we share a hug and kiss, before you.....leave. I....don't know when I'll see you again, and I want.....I want our farewell to be sweet and wonderful as you are. And though it is not my right to ask you anything.......please. Please come back for me, my love. Please....."

Whether or not you consent to that all that is up to you.

With Angelica, the matter of dealing with her is both simple and entirely the opposite of so. Getting in contact with her and telling about your imminent departure for Celadon is obviously a bit concern/topic of interest/a cause for great alarm for her, and she'd be rather worried/curious about the whole deal of THAT was. I say Reiner would explain everything to her, as he knew that she'd never betray his secrets or act against him (She'd sooner bite her own tongue off and drown from her blood that EVER do such blasphemy against her boss/master/god above else all that must be revered!), and she'd be rather understanding and supporting of your decision.....until you mention the idea of her staying behind in Celadon. That immediately provokes a STRONG reaction out of the cop, as she seemed horrified and devastated all at once by the idea, and very nearly seemed on the verge of begging you to take her along, before she herself off abruptly. Then, after a few minutes silence, she speaks up in a eerie monotone.

"If its your will that I stay and watch over Celadon City, then it will be done. You word is my command, and I shall follow and adhere to it faithfully and without end. No matter what you ask. What are your orders, sir?"

Now that isn't creepy or guilt inducing at all. Its Reiner's/your choice if you fully enforce that command or not, and it's not as if she can disobey you either way, so.....

Objective # 6:

Quote:- Register Hope to a pokeball at some point.  A standard pokeball ain't gonna cut it for her, though, Reiner doesn't have much in the way of pokeballs on hand right now, and Hope's currently napping, so it might have to wait until tomorrow morning.  While I'm thinking about it, though...hmmm...how about a Nuclear Ball?  She is going to be a mean, green, fighting machine eventually, after all (and technically is right now).  Color scheme would have been better suited for a standard Volchik, but eh.  If there's another kind of pokeball that Hope would prefer, though, maybe we can just get it later/offscreen.  Or maybe Mr. Mime has something laying around that would be well suited.  I want to make sure Hope's in the right pokeball, one that fits her well, not just whatever the heck random stuff Reiner happens to have on hand.

You rouse Hope long enough to ask her opinion on what Pokeball, and when you brought out the Nuclear Ball she instantly made a funny yucky face and shied away from it, telepathically conveying that she didn't like it, as it made her feel 'sick and icky' just by looking at it. Mr. Mime is quick to offer a the choice of a customizable Preimer Ball for the Legendary Lighting Birdrake at that point (He's always around when you need it!), similar to that of the custom job on Adam's Pokeball. Hope doesn't seem to care what Ball she is put in (The Nuclear Ball being the only exception), so long as it meant she could stay with her daddy - though she seemed more partial to the idea of being held in a Great Ball, just like her Greatest Grandmother!

Objective # 7:

Quote:Concerning his meeting with Valarie: Reiner is a guy who honors his word, as any good Dragon Tamer should, so guess that means he's delivering the information himself (About Erika, her potential aid).  He won't directly join forces with Valarie, but...yeah, let's say he'll at least be willing to work with them a little in the future.  Reiner might have to go into hiding for now, but he still needs to protect and (hopefully) reform his home.

Heading out to the same spot you first 'meet' the Enigma, you wait around a bit before you feel something tap you on the shoulder, and you whirl around to find the man himself in the very attire you first meet him, looking at you with a faint gleam of amusement and satisfaction, as well as.....reservation. Bloody hell......how did they sneak up on you like that?

Anyway, you pretty much say that you can't join up with him due to extenuating circumstance, to which he quietly thinks it over......before calmly accepting your reasoning. He then reveals that its for the best really, as even if you did want to join forces with him officially, he'd have to decline, out of a concern for both his and your safety.

They explain that due your affiliation and the nature of your relationship with Ms. Sterling and Giratina, having you be a part of the Nation Guard would essentially paint a target on you and the peacekeeping organization if they ever found out about the truth of the former and just learn the later period. The instant they find out about either secret, The NG would put Reiner up for 'Closer Review and Scrutiny'  , which he explains is code talk for 'Put them in Lockdown and grill the SHIT out of them, then exploit for all their worth', which would ultimately prove disastrous due to Kyubi and Giratina most likely taking severe offense to that and intervening. Needless to say if that happened, everyone is screwed. So the safest course of action - the only one left, really - would be to keep those relationship and the hidden truths thereof hush-hush and maintain as many degrees of separation between Reiner and the National Guard as possible.

Finally, Valarie would conclude that it doesn't help that you had Mew nuke the NRF too, especially since the NG had a vested interest in containing and securing the location, and that while keeping you hidden from Lance in the NG before would be trivial before said nuke, afterwards it would be near impossible, as they'd scrutinize the heck out of EVERYTHING for several months, if not years after The Psychic Nuclear Incident, so all the more reason to keep you out of the NG. Oh, and not overly attracting undue attention from Dragonstrike, Zuryk, and the other Greater Gods of this world on to himself or the NG. That too.

Valarie says that all in an affable, casual tone and manner, as if he was discussing the weather over a cup of coffee.

.......You don't HOW he learned all of that (You could guess. though), and that very fact that he did and does with seeming ease put Reiner on 'Holy Shit! Levels' of wariness apprehension towards the.....Enigma. No wonder he's called that, and is feared all throughout the underworld......

Naturally, I assume Reiner would be reluctant to divulge any more intell to them now, but eventually they do, if for no other reason than to give more reason for the old man to not be on their case, and you tell him about Erika being a part of Team Rocket now, the strong possibility he could use her to help tear it down from the inside out, and his willingness to work with them in an unofficial capacity in the future. He doesn't seem too surprised by the former news - though he looked pleased to hear it none the less - but your offer of cooperation does earn you a couple of raised eyebrows, before he smiled and let out chuckle, and offered you a handshake to seal that deal.

"I like the sound of that arrangement, Mr. Arendse. A shame circumstances could not allow us to be more permanent co-workers, and together fight against the insidious tyranny that is Team Rocket, but I'm glad to see that you've turned over a new leaf, and making the underappreciated process of becoming a decent man. *Stroaks beard wistfully* Yes.....very glad indeed. *Smiles* Seems like you've grown much a lot since we last meet - and maybe a few grey hairs. Just like me, eh? *Chuckles* Just like me......."

Once you finish your business with Valarie, he says it was a 'True pleasure to meet you,' and bids farewell for now, though not before telling/warning you that just because he won't be pursuing you doesn't mean his grand daughter won't. If anything, she seemed more determined than ever to bring you in or take you down, after the utter fiasco of a week she had (He gives you an amused and meaningful glance as he brings up that part).

He then give you a gentlemanly bow, and walks into the deep shadows, vanishing from your eyes and senses just like last time.

That is the end of that.....or so you hope.

Objectives # 8 & # 9:

Quote:Concerning the matter of Lindworm, Alexandria, and Arial

After you get back to your meeting with Valarie, you meet up with the above people and discuss their plans for the future. Your fellow exile, despite being....worn out and still in some shock about Mew's power, wishes to keep accompanying you never the less. He simply explains that since you were going to break if off from Team Rocket and they were still in the same boat when it came to The Elders and Blackthorn's current litany of issues, their's no reason for him not to join force with you for now on. That, and he honestly didn't want to abandon you again, and would, perhaps, someday like to become your friend, if you could ever forgive him for his part in your exile. Simply put: Safety in numbers, strength in unity, and taking care of their own.

The bullish woman.....she's not too enthused with the idea of traveling with you, no matter how grateful she was for reviving and saving her - both things (if you could call what you did for her as such) she could never repay you for. After her.....extended time in the NRF, all she wants is just to have some peace and stability in her life for a long time. However, she does perk up at the mention of you possibly getting her a job in Tandor, as she too knows that place is practically the mecca of Nuclear Scientists/Researchers like her, and gives you a rather tearful thank you for still helping her, rushing forward to press you in a hug that has your spine screaming in protest! Oh, ah, the pain is like fire, and it burns! Thankfully, you get her off you after a squawked protest, which she does so promptly and with great embarrassment on her part, and quietly apologizes for her forwardness. I presume Reiner would allow her to stay at the AV for as long as she likes (He can afford to do that, and he's not an asshole most of the time) until he can get her a job/she finds one herself and is ready to leave, so I guess that's the end of that!

Arial....well, you've already taken care of that, so no need to speak more about it!

Objective # 10:

Quote:- At the end of it all...escape!  Should be easy with Taylor's assistance.

Indeed it is! Once you've tied up all the loose ends you can in Celadon (AKA: A little input on Emily's, Kyubi's, and Angelica's Scenes need your input), we can finally have Reiner say good-bye and get the heck out of dodge!

Since this is a fairly pivotal moment for your character, we'll actually play this scene out, and its exempt from the deadline (Since it would be dickish of me to just drop the Guillotine on your chara's storyline like that). When you're ready, just indicate in some way that Reiner goes to Taylor and asks for her to whisk him away (preferably with dialog and a little build up to/after it, so I have more to work with).

Until then......I guess this is.......

The End of The Celadon City Crusade Campaign.

It's been a wild and wacky ride, and I'm glad I could have you all on it.

Thank you, everyone.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

1. Mew and Merchant

If ya hadn't done what ya did, getting her to this point might have been harder.  Definitely wasn't a waste in my opinion.  Thanks for the help.  I'll keep ya posted.

All's well that ends well(?) indeed.  For now, at least...

------------------------------------------------

2. Emily

One thing I'd like to note about that is Reiner probably wouldn't have said anything about Taylor...until right about now, after Emily's made her decision!

"...ya know, Emily, you remind me of an old friend of mine.  I'm not entirely sure why, but from what I know of her, she did the exact same thing that you want to do: vanished without a trace.  And she's damn good at it, too.  I'll introduce ya in a bit.  She's actually visiting right now, believe it or not.  And with any luck, she can help us both get out of this crazy mess of a city.  But be warned, as I've explained before, I've got a lot of deep seated family issues.  This isn't going to be easy, and it will almost certainly be quite dangerous.  Before we deal with that, though, I could use Porygon's help with a few somethings if you don't mind...and then once that's done and we've gotten out of here safely, then we can worry about what to do next.  And I'm sure your parents won't give up hope that you're still out there somewhere.  A good Dragon Tamer always keeps their promises, after all.  Otherwise, we'd probably all end up munched and crunched by the beasties we're trying to tame!  Hahahaha!!!  Ha...ha...sorry, was that too much?  Figured I'd try to lighten the mood a little for once."

Reiner promised he'd keep Emily safe, and he's not about to go back on his word now.

It's kinda weird to think that she looks up to him like a big brother, though.  But at the same time, it's also kinda nice...

-----------------------------------------------

3. Safe's Contents

[Huh.  Not quite what I was expecting to be hidden in that safe...at all.  Kinda wish I'd had time to check it earlier, tbh...

...also, that Toxapex brings up some bad memories...I was wondering where Archie was keeping it since it wasn't on his person...figures that he wouldn't trust Bill's PC...but then again, Reiner probably doesn't either...]

[Technically, Silvally isn't even an Evolution lore wise.  It just is mechanically because of how friendship is required to access its full power (via a properly working RKS system).  I guess the energy output from 'evolving' could possibly be explained to be the reason the RKS system starts functioning properly, though?]

On one hand, great!  This is all rather spectacular loot.

On the other...there's definitely some things that Reiner kinda wishes had stayed secret due to just how disturbing they are.

Reiner will leave the funding intact for now, if only to delay the inevitable discovery that Archie has gone missing.  No reason to raise any more suspicion than necessary.  Reiner may be rather stubborn with maintaining his values, but he's not dumb.

As for the pokemon...well, two of those are going to be kept in Reiner's possession.  The Type: Null, however...secret project originally designed to combat Ultra Beasts or not, it seems there's one person who would be particularly well suited for taking care of it...

How ironic.

EDIT: *DONK!*

"What the...? Ow..."

Aaaaannnnd another Rare Candy has appeared out of nowhere for no apparent reason and hit Reiner straight upside the head...

Porygon's Response: ERROR - OBJECT SPAWNED FOR NO KNOWN REASON! QUERY: HOW? SOLUTION: N/A.....

"...I wouldn't worry about it too much, Porygon...that's actually the second time that's happened tonight...maybe the Fairy magic from Taylor's pokemon really did do something extra screwy or something..."

-----------------------------------------------

4. Kyubi

Well, this is embarrassing...

"...I can do the hug at least, Kyubi.  If you HAVE to do the kiss...not on the lips, please.  I'm...still not fully comfortable with anyone doing that. I'm pretty sure we'll meet again eventually, though."

And just before Reiner leaves the room after that one last goodbye (for now):

"I'll arrange for Mr. Mime to change the hotel's registry, at least temporarily.  And also help ya out with funds, make sure you've got proper access to them.  Just try not to overspend too much.  I'll need to use those funds, too.  And if anyone comes around asking about me, I'm supposed to be dead, so I hope you're good at acting.  Because if certain people find out I'm alive, then we're both going to be in a world of trouble."

------------------------------------------------

5. Angelica

"...look, Angelica, hear me out a little.  If you want to help me, I really do think it's best you stay here, at least for now.  If you can monitor any particularly strange happenings for me in the city, that'd be swell.  That, and if you were to just up and vanish with no warning...I'm pretty sure that would raise at least a few eyebrows among your coworkers.  And I need to minimize all the potential exposure I can.  One of my former superiors is incredibly good at sniffing out details, no matter how insignificant they might seem.  I leave even one track, and he'll probably manage to find an entire trail somehow.  I'll stay in touch, but make sure you keep it as discreet as you can manage since I'm trying to vanish."

Even though she responded in a rather...unnerving way, Reiner's still trying to reason this out with her, still trying to make this seem as normal as he can.

-----------------------------------------------

6. Hope

"You sure you want to be registered to a Great Ball, Hope?  Mew didn't exactly get to choose when I registered her to a pokeball.  I mean, she doesn't really mind it, but...*sigh*...well, I suppose I am giving you the choice, after all.  If you want to be registered to a Great Ball, then so be it.  Last chance to change your mind, though."

If Hope doesn't have any other preference, then I guess she's getting registered to a Great Ball.  Reiner's going to have to restock on pokeballs pretty soon...

-----------------------------------------------

7. Valarie

"...when you've seen some of the stuff I have, Valarie, you start to rethink some of your life choices.  Some, but maybe not all.  I still have a few secrets, though, I can assure you of that.  I better not find any bugs after I leave, however.  I'm sure you've heard it a million times already, but you know too damn much for your own good already."

Don't have much to add to this beyond that.

-----------------------------------------------

8. Lindworm

"You've done a great deal for me already, regardless of what happened originally.  You can count me as a friend.  If we're going to change Blackthorn for the better, it's going to take more than just me, after all.  An old friend of mine is visiting at the moment, and she should be able to help us get out of here.  I'll introduce ya when it's time to leave, 'cuz we're leaving tonight before my cousin gets here and starts lookin' this place up and down to try and find whatever blew the NRF sky high.  Be ready to leave soon."

------------------------------------------------

9. Alexandria

"Think nothing of it.  Figured you could probably use a fresh start.  With people like you on the job, maybe nuclear energy can be made safer and more efficient for use eventually."

-------------------------------------------------

10. Ending Scenes

Well, for starters, Reiner will be happy to report to Emily that Porygon did an excellent job.  "They turned up a little something that I think you should open up, though.  Some kind of failed experiment that was too dangerous for the scientists' own good.  Seems to have an almost unremovable helmet on that restricts its power and keeps it from going fully berserk.  Archie noted that it apparently gets along well with young kids, however.  Probably wouldn't get along with most of my pokemon very well, either.  Might be best to leave the pokemon, which they called Type: Null, in your care.  Plus, the more pokemon you have, the more protection you'll have.  'Course, we're not going to know exactly how this pokemon might react until we actually meet it...I think we've still got a little time to experiment, though.  And if it does turn out to be a little too dangerous, I can attempt to fight it off if recalling it doesn't seem to be working."  Reiner's got no idea what those discs called Memories are for at the moment, so he'll hang on to those for now.  (Particularly the Shadow and Nuclear ones...those just scream 'dangerous!' just because of their names alone.)  Maybe he'll see if he can find more information on those items and Type: Null via the TUVEI later...

And then after that, it should finally be time to meet back up with Taylor!  Just need the scene to be set up a little.

The Quickplay Version of Reiner's Final Acts In Celadon City Part 2!

#1:

'Yeah......don't remind me. It was necessary at the time, but I still hated doing it to her. Glad old Pixie Sticks will be back to her ol' chipper self sooner than later, though! Gotcha! Don't know when I'll see ya again, but it has been a pleasure doing business with ya! Job offer is still open too, so if you need the Poke and don't mind traveling and doing all sorts of stuff, or just miss my company that much, hit me up! Until next time, have a profitable time, so you can spend that wealth on my wares, hahahaha!'

With that said and read, all of The Merchant's messages deleted themselves from your phone. You can't say if they're a friend or not, but you'll probably be missing them the next time you're looking to spend your gains (Ill gotten or not) on something you can't get easily, but they could! Oh well, such is the nature of dealing with traveling salesman: here on moment, gone the next.

#2:

The smol artist boggled a bit at the dark humor, not expecting you of all people to start cracking jokes at a time like this, but then a tiny smile appeared as she snorted, before soon she descended into a fit of giggles, clutching her mouth as the previously tense and serious mood broke like one of your mom's china plates (though thankfully without the accompanied panic/meltdown)!

"Tehehehehe! So silly, big brother! You'd beat up anything that tried to make a meal out of you, and gobble them up yourself! Nom nom nom! Tehehehehe....!"

Ah......now that sound much better than her mopping and sighing! You recall you kaasan saying to you on several occasions that you had a knack with the young ones, though you'd dismissed her at the time. Perhaps she was right all along.......

Once she calmed down, Emily was swift to envelope you in a hug once more, this one being softer yet somehow even more affectionate than the last one.

"Thank you so much, big brother. For everything. I can't wait to your friend, 'cause she must be great and special like you are! Maybe she'll like my art too, and let me draw pictures of her Pokemon! Do you think so, brother?"

She gives you with curious excitement, childish giddiness sparkling in her gaze as looked up at you with her cartoonish eyes, seemingly undaunted by your grim but frank warnings about your own festering pile of Dragon doo doo of issues looming on the horizon, ready to topple over and stink up your whole life, or just take it away. She's become one tough little cookie (for better and worse) and has utter faith that everything will be okay so long as you can handle it, so to her she has no reason to be too worried about the future. After all, your her big brother of a superhero, who'll always save the day and win - or at least come out in one piece to fight another day!

Emily obviously doesn't mind lending Porygon over to you, though it takes a little convincing from her to get the living data construct to warm up to the idea. They're still quite a Skittish fellow, and you strike a rather foreboding figure, you know?

[Reiner might not think its normal for Emily to view him like family, but from her perspective he's done everything and then some to prove otherwise. Maybe he has a bias against the idea, or something? Hmm.....]

#3:

Got nothing to add to this scene.....except for a package wrapped in brown parchment paper suddenly manifested out of thin air and dropped on your head like an anvil! Yeoch!

Porgyon eye's widen comically at the sight, before they send another message your way:

ERROR - ANOTHER ITEM SPAWNED INTO EXISTENCE! QUERY: IS THIS RELATED TO 'FAIRY MAGIC?' ANALZYING DATA.... PROBABILITY - HIGH. FINDING SOLUTION. SEARCHING......SEARCHING.......FOUND! SOLUTION: DISPEL 'MAGIC' AROUND YOU WITH STEEL AND/OR COUNTER MAGIC, AND/OR STOP TRIGGERING IT BY CEASING ALL MENTION OR ATTENTION TO IT UNTIL IT DISSIPATES ON ITS OWN. WILD MAGIC KNOWN TO LINGER LONGER ON THOSE THAT FIXATE AND INTERACT WITH IT, SO DO NOT.

.......

#4:

Kyubi's mood brightened at your agreement, and soon enough you found yourself in her tender, loving embrace, her head settling in the crook of your neck.

".....Thank you, Master. I promise that I'll be.....fine here, and stay out of trouble. Be safe, and may good fortune be with you....."

When she lets go, she places a gentle kiss on your forehead, honoring your own request. You notice that throughout her contact with you, she felt entirely like a human woman (albiet one that had the warmth of a cozy campfire), and not the furry fox woman that she was. Your not sure how, but the phenomena is not a bad thing, so it's no cause for concern, right?

Your good-bye requests get quick nods back, her expression still a bit sad but serious. Though being 'human' was still a new thing to her, it was becoming less confusing and more natural to her as time went on, so she could put on a convincing act by herself and Mr. Mime's help. Speaking of the butler, she'd help his help with managing everything in your absence, which is a relief to both you and her.

When you finally leave the room, Kyubi's head drops, and she stares into her lap, her belly, with a painfully neutral yet somehow sad expression. After waiting several minutes - long enough for your presence to fade away from her general vicinity, indicating you were nowhere nearby and therefore unable to listen in - she slowly place one of her hands on her tummy, and her expression fell even further as she ruminated on the secret she kept from him.

".......With my Master gone.......it will make it much easier for me and Mr. Mime to hide the....the truth of what.......what happened. Hmpt......small blessings......small....blessings........."

Her eyes grew wet as she remembered what happened, what she did, doing, and was going to keep doing to him.

Then, she started to silently cried, all alone.

Mourning the loss of her old self's child, and keeping the truth and everything about it hidden from the one she loves the most, to spare him from the guilt and pain.

...

#5:

For several long seconds, you didn't hear anything from your police officer, though you could somehow feel that she was thinking over what you said hard, until she finally broke the silence.

".......Yes sir. I'll do my best for you, keep Team Rocket from tracking you down, and maintain a low profile. Forgive me for being frank, but I......I......don't like not being around and on hand to aid you, and I'll.....I'll miss you too. ...But I understand why. Its to keep you and Celadon safe, and prevent anymore trouble from happening. And I would do anything to protect you and this city, sir. I promise."

Angelica's voice was back to normal as she spoke. Sadden, but also understanding and determined.

Looks like you got through to her without having to.....exercise your influence over her. Thank the Dragon Gods for that!

#6:

Your baby goddess easily senses your reservations about housing her in a Great Ball, and with a panicked *Squawk* she quickly changes her mind, shaking her head back and forth wildly.
No, No! Fine With.....Special Premier Ball, Daddy! No Problem With It, No! Okay Okay.....?
Welp, she's rather eager to please you, isn't she? Not sure if that's a good thing or not, but at least it makes raising her a much easier responsibility to do!

#7:

"*Chuckles* Oh, I understand that indeed, Mr. Arendse. Very well indeed.... *Smiles, eye twinkling* I'm sure you do."

He chuckles again as you pin some of the some of the bugs you found on him, but other than that he doesn't react. Your next comment does get a particularly indulgent smile.

"Oh, not really. Usually when I try to hold a good, well meaning conversation with criminals, they just try to shut me up by attempting murder."

Valarie stares deeply into your eyes, and you could see the dark, killer sense of humor in his.

"I imagine you can guess what happens next to such unruly hooligans, Mr. Arendse."

With that said, everything is done with The Enigma! Whew, what a relief!

#8:

The former acolyte expression wavers for a moment as you absolve him of his own preceived failings, before it firmed as he nodded and extended a hand to shake yours.

".....You have my deepest gratitude, Reiner. I don't know how we'll force our home to abandon some of its harsher traditions and embrace newer ways without Team Rocket assistance, but by the Dragon Gods Above and The Goddess Below we'll find a way. Things will change, and for the better.
......I agree, Lindworm. All Will Bow to My Reiner's Will And Vision, And His And Everyone's Life Shall Be Bountiful And Good. No Matter What.
Lindworm shivers as he vows to change Blackthorn with you, but he recovers quickly enough.

"I'm prepared to leave at any moment. I've taken the precaution to having all my belonging on my person at all times since I've fled home for rather clear reasons, and I still have all my Pokemon with me. And believe me when I say that I too don't want to get caught in Lance's jaws too. Though he is a most kind and fair Dragon Tamer, his tenacity and......determined sense of justice and dedication to all matters is well known to me too. To be confronted by him at the height of his passionate sense of duty...... *Shudders* Yes, that is best to be avoid at all costs."

He's also curious as to who your 'mystery' friend is, as to his Knowledge you were a fairly lonesome person that was not popular among the youth back home, but he refrains from digging any further. He would find more about them in due time, and this was not the time be discussing such things.

#9:

Got nothing much to add here, other than the fact she's happy and a bit proud with what you've said. Nothing does a person's attitude wonders by praising them for their skills, and she's relieved to see you don't have a blind fear/hatred towards nuclear science!

#10:

Emily face lights up as she claps at the good news, and gives her digiduck a warm hug for their hard work, which they are more than happy and pleased to return it the best it could! When you bring up TYPE - NULL and offer to give it to her, though, the little miss lets out a squawk of surprise, her hands flying up to her face as you present its Pokeball to her, before she let out an overjoyed squeal and accepted it, grabbing it out of your hands and then giving you another of her Urasring hugs (ouch!)!

"Oh thank you thank you thank you brother! I'll take REAL good care of them, and teach them to be a nice doggie! Thank you!!!"

When the smol artist tries to release them (from behind you while you have a Pokemon out - she's no dummy!), though, she unable to, as the Pokeball was ID Locked. Porgyon tries to break the encryption and lock....

*Rolls*
*Rolls*
*Rolls* *Rolls*

....to no avail. Worse than that, in fact: The Ball's Emergency Fail-Safe Lockdown kicked in, COMPLETELY sealing it shut while also transmitting a signal to the local authorities!! However, Porgyon was able to stop the later entirely, so no coppers were going to know about this! Nobody's going to be opening that Pokeball now! Well, except for possibly The Merchant or someone with the tech + authorization necessary to override the Lockdown, but you don't really have the time to ask for the former's assistance or know someone in the later (Except Team Rocket Pokeball Tech Specialists, but their obviously a non-option at this point), so you're out of luck for introducing yourselves to the chimera beast tonight!

After that near disastrous disappointment, you and everyone joining you gather together and meet up with Taylor in the Lounge, where she was kicking back and sipping a glass of water. She looks over at Emily and Lindworm and blinks a few times, before an easy smile came over her as she directed her attention towards you.

"Well well, look who's made a couple of friends! Becoming a real people's person, aren't ya partner. Hehahehahe!"

The thief extraordinaire laughs for a bit, before calming down and giving everyone a knowing smirk.

"I take it they're tagging along with us as we make like a Sentret and Run Away from this city about to turn into a Beedrill nest? Mind telling me more about them first, though, partner? I trust ya have a good enough head on your shoulders to choose your friends wisely, but it be nice for me to know a little about them before we get going. After all, we'll be thick as thieves from then on, so we all should know enough about each other to get along! *Looks Puzzled* Where's Kyubi, too? Thought she was coming along with us *Smirks for a moment*, or at least that's what she told me."

Emily and Lindworm elect to remain silent and let you answer for them. The little miss was openly about your old partner, her eyes glued to the scars across her face, while your newest partner looked at them thoughtfully with a puzzled expression, as if he recognized them but had trouble determining how and why.

2. [It's just a weird feeling for Reiner since he was technically an only child growing up, and the 'younger sibling' whenever Clair was around at that, that's all.  Not biased against the idea, Reiner's just not used to it quite yet.]

"I'm sure she'll like your art, Emily."

3. "...ow...yeah, thanks Porygon...I'll keep that in mind..."

6. "Pick the one you want to be registered to, Hope, okay?  I won't be disappointed with either decision.  I was just surprised, that's all."

Reiner's adamant about that point.  This is Hope's choice, and Reiner will go along with whatever she decides.

10.  "Well, we'll crack it open eventually.  Good try, Porygon.  And good job on dealing with that failsafe before it could cause any trouble."

"It's been a rather crazy week.  I've asked Kyubi to stay behind for now to help cover for me.  Can't have my former superiors figuring out I'm not dead the easy way."

"Lindworm, Emily, meet Taylor, the best damn stealth specialist I know.  Taylor, this is Lindworm, one of the acolytes from the Blackthorn Gym.  Or...he was, I guess you could say.  Much like me, he's in exile, mostly because he disagrees with the extremity of the measures the Elders took against me and decided he wanted to do something about it.  He's got a bounty on his head jst like I do, and our goals happen to align, so we figured it'd be a good idea to work together.

"And this young lady is a talented artist named Emily.  Unfortunately, she's had almost as rough of a week as I have, so she's looking for a way to escape from it all.  I'll have to explain more later.  It's a long story."

[Reasonable enough! Got a question for you, though: do you like Emily? If you don't, I can drop the axe on her if you like.]

The smol artist was made even happier from your response, and asks for a quick description of her so that she could quickly sketch out a picture of your old partner to show later on. Since I don't imagine that to be that much of an unreasonable request, I'll say that Reiner easily complies, and she gets started on her new project in earnest!

When you do as the living data construct asked, the wrapped package vanishes.....and appears in your inventory without nary an action on your part, which you notice by the sudden increase of weight on your person. You briefly take a look at it again, and you find something different about it: there was a message on the top of it.

Hope appeared more indecisive than ever once you firmly rest the decision in her feathers, staring at you with a dazed expression, before chirping uncertainly.
The......Premier Ball? That Okay?
You get the strong feeling she's making her decision based on what you and you desire, for the simple reason she wants to make you two happy, which would obviously make her happy to. From this, you can conclude the little drakling isn't old/mature enough to make choice on her own, or at least not without considering/factoring want you/you want. You know, just like any child.

Porygon lets out a happy *Beep!* at your praise, before he eyes the ID Locked Pokeball with a grudging stare. You may have defeated it this time, security systems, but the next time they'll face your ilk, they'll tear them right down!

You remember at this point the Gender Fluidizer, and its effects on Genderless Pokemon. If you want, you could use it on it to see what happens. Emily would be fine with it, if a bit surprised and then somewhat skeptically curious about the whole process.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The master class escape artist quirks an eyebrow at how canned your answer about Kyubi was, but in the end shrugs it off easily.
"Don't we know it. Alrighty then. *Smirks* Smart thinking about leaving that vixen of yours behind to cover our asses for awhile. The less leads that can be rubbed out for us, the better! Plus, it'll be easier for us to catch up with each other without her hanging over our shoulders, eh?"
She gives you a slightly sultry smile as she finishes, which completely flies over Emily's head but not Lindworms, the later of whom's eyebrows arch up before discretely glance between you and her with a contemplative expression.
Your introduction of your fellow exile and the little miss earns a markedly different reaction for each. With Lindworm, the moment you bring up he was a Blackthorn Gym Acolyte, your old partner's expression immediately became much more neutral and guard, tension quickly entering her as she started sizing up your new partner, which they (Lindworm) also immediately picked up on and started to regard her much the same way. It was not until you fully explained that he was in the exact same boat you were and was firmly on your side that she eased up, her expression relaxing into one with a small smile, yet still somewhat wary.
"Well, ain't this a surprise? Never expected one of great gramp's acolytes storm the coop like ya, but that explains why their with ya in the first place. That, and his 'departure' from bad ol' Blackthorn nicely explains the big scurfuffle and Outrage among the Elders back there. You're responsible for making them blow their tops, eh Lindy? Watcha do to make them spew that much fiery rage, if you don't mind me asking?"
"....Yes, and I do mind, Ms. Taylor. That matter is between me and Reiner, and I rather prefer to keep it that way for the unforseeable future, if you don't mind yourself."
"Heha! No, no I don't mind at all. We all got our secrets, and I'm not gonna to try and steal yours. *Eyes gleam* Not unless you give me reason to, of course. Hope we can get along great together, Lindy!"
"......*Nods* I wish the same as well, Ms. Taylor."
Well, that's went well, relatively speaking!
With Emily, though....Taylor expression and mood turns.....ever so slightly curious and nervous? She place her glass of water down and leans forward to the greet the smol artist with a gentle, sympathetic smile.
"That so, huh? Well, it's nice to meet ya, Emily. Don't mind not knowing about your......misadventures, if you don't want to share. Like I said, we all got our secrets, and judging by those sunglasses and gloves of yours, it must be pretty personal, right?"
The little miss started a bit at your old partner's shrewd observation, before she let out a small giggle and nodded, smile up at them.
"Hehe....yup! I don't mind you knowing what happened. Brother said you were a good old friend of his, and any friend of his is mine too! So don't worry, miss. I trust you, and you can trust me too!"
Her response actually stuns Taylor, causing her to blink uncontrollably and glancing over at you with a questioning look that practically screamed 'Brother?', before they refocused their attention on Emily, their smile turning a touch more sweet.
"Haheha.....well, I'm glad to see ya so chipper! Gotta ask, though.....you sure about this? Leaving everything behind, and placing ya trust in this sordid group of ours? 'Cause once we leave Celadon, their ain't no going back here for a good long time. You'll be stuck with us like glue, and the life ahead of us is not gonna be a cake walk on easy street by my guess. So, are ya sure, Emily?"
The smol artist in question doesn't hesitate to nod back, her expression sad but determined once more.
"Yes, I'm sure! I don't care how bad or nasty things get, miss. As long big brother's around and everyone tries their hardest, I know we can handle anything, no problem! *Shakes head* I won't be a burden too, so you can count on me to help out too! Promise!"
Again, Taylor appeared stunned by your 'adopted' sister candidness and resolve, before it was slowly replace with a sort of.....sad empathy as she reached over to pat them on the head (Emily had been directly approaching her the whole time of their conversation) with a much bigger smile.
"Welp, guess that settles it. Welcome to the team, Emily! We'll take real good care of ya, and I expect you'll do the same for us, right?"
"*Nods* Um, right!"
"Hehahe, good to hear!"
Then, Emily flips open her art pad and shows the thief extraordinaire a picture of none other than herself. It depicted them in as they were to your best recollections as you described, and yet again she did an outstanding job. It did not quite have a lifelike quality to it, but it certainly seemed to embody your old partner at their prime: cocky, surefire, independent, and full of energy.
"I made a picture of you, with some help from big brother! He said you like art, so I thought I would make a sketch for you as a new friend gift! *Curiously tilts head* You like it, miss?"
For a third time recently, Taylor was stunned , not only by the art and its quality itself, but by the smol artist's thoughtful kindness and generosity. One hand tentatively reached forward to touch the sketch of herself, and a much more happy smile graced her scarred face.
"Yeah......yeah, I really do. Thank ya, Emily."
"Hehe, no need to thank me, but you're welcome miss! If you like, I can make more pictures of you and your Pokemon, if you want!"
"Heha.....yeah, I would."
And that's the end of that exchange! Doesn't it want to make you go daw?
Introduction being over, Taylor rises from her seat and pulls of a Dusk Ball, and gives everyone confidant, questioning look.
"Welp, guess all's tied up nicely enough now, ain't it? Only thing left to do is getting out of dodge. I'm ready whenever, so just say the word, and I'll have Beth Teleport us to one of my boltholes somewhere nice, far away, and safe. Well guys?"
"I'm ready to depart, Miss Taylor. Celadon City and its Flower Festival has been lovely, but I think we can all agree both have outstayed their welcome with us. Or the other way around, rather."
"*Nods vigorously* Yup! Let's go, everyone!"
Everyone then turns to you, looking at you with expectation.
All's that left is your answer.
Are you ready to go, and begin the next chapter of your life, Reiner Arendse?
[I think Emily was a wonderful addition to the story.  If I had wanted her to leave, Reiner wouldn't have spent so much time with her.  That bright ray of sunshine amidst all the darkness helped a lot both IC and OOC, tbh.]
3.
...what the...?  Um...Reiner's getting bad vibes from this...but...I guess he'll open it out of morbid curiosity?  Something's definitely...extra weird about this...
6.
"...*sigh*...hehe...ya know, Hope, let's do the Great Ball instead.   That's what ya originally preferred, right?  Guess I'm making this a little too complicated for ya, aren't I?  Sorry 'bout that, tyke."
10.
Er...yeah, nope, gender fluidizer shenanigans aren't happening quite yet...Reiner's not exactly up for experimenting with it right now...
--------------------------------------
Concerning Taylor's opening remarks: Reiner simply sighs.  He's definitely going to have to get used to her new brand of humor now, apparently...
Concerning that questioning look about Emily's remark: "...like I said, Taylor, it's a long story.  She's been through a lot.  Well, we all have, really..."
Well, then, I suppose it's almost time for the credits to roll...I have a special post for that ready once everything is REALLY finished.
Let's wrap up all those other loose points first, though.  Because while Reiner IS just about ready to go, I'd rather not have a bunch of loose ends dangling around the end of the string.
