[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Nathan and Gallade both politely decline trying the mushrooms.  They're both eyeing the capture webs veeeerrrry carefully...Gallade in particular is giving them an incredibly narrow eyed look that's almost a glare.  Using pokeball technology that's capable of stealing pokemon from their registered pokeballs, imprisoning them against their will?  That is definitely not okay in his books.

For now, though, he and Nathan are still being courteous and polite with the Kadabra, though.

"...figures there'd be a button somewhere if pokeball-like technology is present..."

Nathan is about ready to turn this place upside down if he has to in order to find that button.  But again, he's waiting for the time being before he takes action...he doesn't want to be the aggressor in this situation if it can be avoided...

You can see that the doorways lead to other, similar chambers, and that the floor tunnels probably used to contain ladders which are now missing. A Teleporting Pokemon has no need for ladders.

It's less gloomy and dreary, but still thick with threats.

The Capture Web looks like naturally grown crystal MSC, which grew or was altered into something similar to current Pokeball technology. With that in mind, the button may not be exactly Pokeball shaped.

Your hosts begin attempting to pamper you - they invite you to lie down in beds of grass, or to dip in the hot pools they have, or anything else they can think of. They freely allow Shiva to examine the tube. From this location, you can now see that it is several long tubes of different diameters nested together and then, through rust, fused into one long tube. It looks like either end could have held a glass lens. In other words, it's a very old crude telescope!

It's super-cute how all the Kadabra start to pamper them! Shiva's finding this very endearing, having imagined the Kadabra Chambers as a horrible place full of dangers and strange things. In reality it appears to be not much more than a home of many many Kadabra with some of them once having been human. She's giving herself as a kind visitor while all silently staying concentrated and on guard to prevent her from being lured into a false sense of safety, these chambers are part of the Ruins after all.

Crystal MSC? Now Shiva's delighted that she collected the shards from when Angie broke through the Web! When comparing it with the normal MSC she has, does anythingelse but the form distinguish the two?

With a weird kind of interest and fascination she's also watching the Capture Web from enough distance, asking Leader Kadabra whether "Is this curious webby stuff ....your doing if I may ask? A defense mechanism against intruders maybe? It's hosting some unique power, you see."

VERY CRUDE OLD TELESCOPE, awwww! (°〇°) Now Shiva knows why she felt attracted by that tube in the first place, from close it's even more fascinating. "But...why do they need a telescope down here?" Question for Kadabra: "That's a pretty nice object! Was it already there when you were making your homes down this part of the Ruins? Did you found it somewhere and simply took it with you...?" This can be answered by a simply nod.

The MSC is about the same, just refined.

Kadabra turns away when you ask about the Capture Web, and more arrive to try to distract you with pampering.

Oo, they're happy to talk about that telescope instead. They nod when you ask if they found it here.

That's a weird behaviour, Shiva frowns as she seemingly hit a sensitive nerve within Leader Kadabra by asking about that Capture Web. She mindfully apologizes for that mistake but can't help but to find it suspicious, very suspicious actually, but she doesn't express anything of that openly.

She conveys something to the others of the group as well as to Humanoid Kadabra with hat, it's some sort of a plan she just made up (I'll save you all the tagg as I believe you'll be reading this anyway sooner or later): Shiva will try to distract the Kadabra by enveloping them into some casual talking about telescope (for now, topic can change) while the others will search for that button to free Angie without creating a fuss.

How's that, does that sound alright?

Once the attention of the Kadabra is occupied, Spira has Luna and Noire look for any out of place buttons without drawing attention to themselves.

Sounds like what I was thinking!  Nathan's been holding off on saying much about the current situation partly for that reason (he can always talk more about his own thoughts on the KC later).  As stated previously, Nathan's more than ready to turn this place upside down to find that button if he has to!

Gallade and Solosis are the two pokemon that I'd like to assist Nathan in this task. Gallade's already out (and Justified in taking action) and Solosis is used to sneaking around. Calam appearing might put all these Kadabra on guard a little too quickly...

Fufu, how neat. "It's a pretty cool finding indeed!~" She's taking her time to get a good look at it and to let the Kadabra know that she's fascinated. "But... It's not working, is it? Did it have glass lenses when you've found it? Without these pieces, you can't really observe the sky, the stars, the distant celestial bodies when they're appearing in the nightsky. *sudden gasp* Has any of you Kadabra...ever seen the sky at all??"

The Kadabra don't mind Nathan's Psychic types, but they are leery of the Ghosts. Ghosts get +1 dice.

13 and 12 alert dice

Nathan: (2)(5)(2)(4)(6)(4)(5)(1)(6)(6)(2)(2) = 7 successes
Spira: (5)(4)(3)(3)(4)(2)(2)(2)(4)(6)(4)(3) = 6 successes

5 were needed so you both find it at the same time, Nathan coming face to face with a Ghost coming from the other side.

There's a vein of MSC running from the Capture Web containing Angie down to a nodule of MSC which has been polished to a shiny finish, almost like a lens. You think hitting that with a jolt of electricity will incarnate Angie. There may be others for the other capture webs.

It did not have lenses.

They nod, though - they have seen the sky through small holes in their roof, at least. But you pick up something interesting with this line of inquiry: Their memories of their previous forms are so muddled that they all seem confused as to how much sky they've seen, from their time above.
