[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
The Kadabra aren't going to be intimidated enough to back off. This is their home.

Initiatives:

Gallade (6)
Charizard (2)
Kelda (2)
Kadabra (1)

Primal Glaceon (taking cover) (4)
Whimsicott (taking cover) (1)
Arachnautilus (1)
Kadabra (2)

Gustav (5)
Quetzal (5)
Doublade (5)
Gendry (4)
Kadabra (4)

Noire (4)
Luna (4)
Elya (1)
Kadabra (1)

Each of you is pretty much in a different part of the Chamber, so I'll just have this be a separate battle for each of you.

Nathan's team has a Light Screen, and the Kadabra raise their spoons in unison to activate all sorts of defenses around the battlefield! Barriers, Screens, Reflects, and a few surprises!

There's probably no telling whether Marco and/or his pokemon are even in earshot of that (or will/are able to react in any noticeable way if they do), but Nathan is making sure he's able to be heard. Even if it's only a slight chance of getting closer to finding his dad, Nathan can't ignore it.

How many Kadabra is each group facing? Six?

"Guess we have no choice them." Heart prepare himself for a hell of a battle. He search his bag, until he find the Moltres Egg. "Sorry to put you in the battle again little one, I promise to make a good pyre to you, I promise." He then channel the Eartpower connection he has with him, summon more intense flames. "Gendry, if you could wrap real good some of these Kadabra, that could be wonderfull."

"Quetzal! Speed us with Tailwind! Then make those fools tremble with Rock Slide! 4x!" Using 37 XP to teach him Rock slide.

"Gustav! Swords Dance! Then wash them away with Muddy Water!"

Heart ignite his hands. "I will light those fools with some heat."

Increasing Strengh from 4 to 5 using 40 Xp. We gonna need every bit of damage against them.

Tailwind Accuracy: Dex(5)+Fight(4)+Channel(3)-Actions(5) = 7D6
Effect: Increase user and allies Dex.

Rock Slide Accuracy: Dex(5)+Fight(4)+Channel(3)+Tailwind(2)-Accuracy(1)-Actions(6/7/8/9)=8D6/7D6/6D6/5D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR(5)=8D6
Effect: D3 to flinch foes. Hit all foes.

Swords Dance: DEX(5)+FIGHT(4)+CHANNEL(3)-ACTIONS(5)=7D6
Effect: Increase Strengh in 2 stages.

Muddy Water Accuracy: DEX(5)+FIGHT(4)+CHANNEL(3)+TAILWIND(2)-ACTIONS(6/7/8/9)
Damage: Power(3)+STR(5)+SD(2)+STAB(1) = 11D6
Effect: Hit all foes. D3 to reduce foes accuracy.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Your flames won't do anything against the Kadabra. If you can get them to touch the Moltres Egg, THAT would deal damage.

Welp, nothin' for it then.  Let's fight off these felines!  Groups of 6 should be manageable.  I think.

-----------------------------------------------

Gallade's first in Nathan's initiative order, so let's try to brighten things up a little before he gets involved in the fray himself!

FLASH 1
Acc: 14 - 5 = 9 D6
Eff: -3 Acc, blinds, should hit all the Kadabra in Nathan's group

Night Slash 2-5 (DEFINITELY non-Lethal)
Acc: 15 - 6/7/8/9 = 9/8/7/6 D6
Dmg: 3 + 6* + SE = 9 D6 base + 1 damage
Eff: 4 successes crits

--------------------------------------------------

Charizard, meanwhile, has two plans in mind since he's going immediately after Gallade:

Plan A: If FLASH works as normal (indicating the Kadabra are vulnerable to stat drops), a menacing sounding Growl (to help prevent some damage), followed by 3 Heat Waves.

Plan B: If FLASH does not work as normal (indicating the Kadabra are not vulnerable to stat drops), Charizard will just use 4 Heat Waves.

Growl 1
Acc: 6 + 5 + 2 - 4 = 9 D6
Eff: -1 Strength for all foes

Heat Wave 1-4
Acc: 14 - 1 - 4/5/6/7 = 9/8/7/6 D6
Dmg: 3 + 5 + STAB = 9 D6 base
Eff: Burn 1 (1), hits all foes

Other Conditionals:

Should Gallade's Night Slash or Charizard's Heat Wave be Disabled, they'll switch to using Leaf Blade and Shadow Claw respectively (both have the same accuracy pool and effect as Night Slash).

Nathan has a Potion ready to use on Gallade should he reach 5 or less HP.  Unfortunately, Charizard doesn't have the security of a Potion being effective on him for the rest of the day.  So instead, Nathan will also have a Super Potion ready to use on Kelda should she take a total of 6 or more damage.

Nathan vs Kadabra Round 1

Flash 1
(5)(6)(2)(1)(1)(5) (6)(4)(3)
-3 acc for the Kadabra! They don't rely on their sight, though, not for their psychic attacks.

Growl 1
(4)(5)(2)(1)(2)(2) (4)(2)(4)
-1 Offense for Kadabra

Leaf Blade 1
(4)(2)(6)(6)(6)(4) (1)(5) Critical
4 Str + 3 power + 1 stab + 2 critical -4 vit -1 barriers = 5d6
(5)(1)(6)(4)(4) Kadabra A takes 3 dmg 4/8hp -2 pain

Telekinesis 1
(5)(1)(6)(4)
Gallade is lifted! Kadabra swirls him around and around, leaving a sparkling trail which slows whoever looks at it - since it's right above Kelda's head, that's who will be affected.

Paralysis Crystal 1
(1)(2)(3)(2)(4)(5)
Kelda was paralyzed.

Psychic 1 B-F on Charizard
7 dice, -3 acc
(2)(4)
(6)(6)(4)(2)
(6)(3)(4)(4)
(5)(2)(1)(4)
(6)(5)(6)(4)

Damage is 4 dice since Nathan has 1 less vitality, but Growl cancels that out.

(6)(3)(2)(3)
(6)(1)(2)(1)
(3)(6)(1)(2)
(6)(4)(1)(5)
(5)(6)(3)(5) Charizard takes 8 dmg 1/9hp -3 pain. Blaze triggers in a strong way!

Night Slash 2
(2)(6)(4)(2)(3)(1) (3)(1) Barely hits as Gallade is floating at the edge of slashing range.
(5)(4)(2)(2) Kadabra A takes 3 dmg 1/8hp -3 pain.

Heat Wave 2
(1)(6)(3)(5)(2)(2)
(1)(4)(5)(4)(1)(5) (5) All Kadabra take 4 dmg. One faints, the rest are at 4/8hp -2 pain.
CD: (5)

Leaf Blade 2
(2)(6)(3)(5)(4) Critical hit for Kelda*!
(4)(6)(3)(4)(4) Kadabra B faints!

Disable 2 on Gallade
(5)
Night Slash was disabled as he's lifted farther out of range.

More sparklies make Nathan feel slow.

Paralysis Crystal 2
(5)(1)(6)(5)(2)
Nathan was paralyzed!

Psychic 2
(5)
(2)
(1)

(4)(1)(6)(4) Charizard faints. It was all they could do to get him down!

Gallade extends an ever-growing leaf blade from one arm to slash at the nearest Kadabra.

Leaf Blade 3
(6)(3)(2)(2)(5)(5) (5)(4) Critical
(3)(4)(3)(1)(4)(6) Kadabra C takes 3 dmg 1/8hp -3 pain.

Leaf Blade 3 - this will be on D.
(1)(6)(5)(6) Clutch critical. Kelda smiles at the Pokeball containing Absol. "My brother and I discovered the Super Luck spell together. It's worth a mana slot all by itself."
(5)(5)(6)(3)(6) Kadabra D faints.

Kadabra are out of dice thanks to Flash.

Leaf Blade 4
(1)(3)(1)(6)(3)(5)(4)
(6)(5)(5)(2) Kadabra C faints.

Leaf Blade 4
(3)(4)(4)
(3)(5)(3) Kadabra E takes 1 dmg 3/8hp

Leaf Blade 5
(1)(4)(3)(5)(5)(4) Critical
(6)(2)(1)(3)(4)(5) Kadabra E faints.

Just the one Kadabra is left, and it looks ready to Teleport away.

This encounter is worth 21XP for each PC.
