[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
A little question: Why Heart flames was not summon? Back in Scimitar base they have worked. Also, pretty unfair with Gustav not even dealing a single damage. Heart had 5 Vitality, Gustav should have survived with 1 HP
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

The flames worked in the base by applying the Egg directly to a flame-vulnerable item. It's not meant to be an attack. Even if it was, it would only deal 1 dice which would be subsumed by the Reflect or Light Screen.

The Kadabra focused down Clawitzer, knowing he was a threat. Players do the same thing so it's not at all unfair. If you don't like that, order Evasions or attack before using buffing moves.

Back in the Scimitar base, you were able to get right up next to the cord to burn it away.  That's not a safe thing to do in this situation.

Gustav only has 4 base HP, Spirit.  That means he has a maximum of 9 HP. That barrage of Psychics did exactly enough damage to KO him.

Trying to set up against a large horde of enemies is dangerous.  Call it unfair all ya like, but you gave them an opportunity.  Kadabra are not naturally bulky critters, but they have a lot of power to make up for it, even without being fully evolved. That's why I've got more of a focus on debuffing the damage they're able to do instead of trying to buff myself.

Plus, you're in the Ruins now! Things are going to start heating up, challenge-wise. (And you'll like the XP you get if you survive!)

Either that, or have a Pokemon that can guard a Pokemon that's buffing, but in the case of Psychic attacks that's pretty hard to do due to Iron interpretation of some Moves and thier interaction with Cover.

If you want, Revive Clawitzer and stow him away, then bring out two more bulky Spread Attackers/Attackers, then bringer Clawitzer out and fully heal him before spamming Bubbles and/or Heal Pulses. Another Strat. is to use Posei's Perish Song, as that will at least force them to lose eventually, as its a lingering effect and they can't return to a Pokeball, so use that on them and no matter what happens you'll at least get a tie or force them to pack it in and flee (Provided they don't focus down Posei either, but a Revive prior to them acting can get them back up for a Perish S. [+ Will Point, to be extra sure]).

In the Skull Ruins or any ultra difficulty dungeon, being as underhand as possible is the key to victory. Think of the most dastardly scheme that is just plain unfun and unfair to fight against, and inflict it on the opponent. Honor in life or transformation scenario should be irrelevant, unless you don't mind becoming a psychic kitty cat if uphold values and fail in doing so.

Unless you happen to have access to moves that are specifically designed to prevent damage, such as Light Screen/Reflect/Aurora Veil/Wide Guard.

I would let Cover affect Psychic here. They're shooting beams of psychic power, so it will apply. Other interpretations of Psychic could include smashing with telekinetic power which would also be affected by cover, or a direct mind-to-mind attack which would not.

@Iron, you forgot to account for the Light Screen on Nathan's side of the field.  That would have reduced the damage Charizard took from those Psychics, meaning he wouldn't have fainted and could have used more Heat Waves.

Accounting for Light Screen, Charizard would have only taken a total of 6 damage. It does affect the damage that Charizard does with Heat Wave 2 (if you want to edit it instead of leaving it as is), but he might KO all of the Kadabra with the rest.

Ah. With Charizard alive, they'd all be fainted for sure. I won't bother to reroll things but Charizard can be unfainted at the end of the combat, and you don't have to worry about that Teleporting Kadabra.

I wasn't worried about Teleporting Kadabra anyways. Calam's Pursuit would have probably very quickly solved that little issue. Tongue  Was mostly just trying to minimize any damage taken.

I'll note that Charizard's currently sitting at 3 HP.
