I carry this arm not only as simple arm, but also as a reminder and a tokken of friendship. To simple discard it could be...dishonored to me, after the ammount of sacrifice he did. Not to mentioned this arm was with me for part of my life. It is part of me both literal and methaphorical senses."
"Although I agree if we gonna face dangers ahead of Mt. Coronet, we must be prepare with the right tools. New type of arm could be more easily to make and last costly too...Not to mentioned it open new space for you make the desigh you have and implement any ideas you have."
Kogeki ponder the pro and cons with any decision and then tell the Blacksmith his decision. "As much I dont like the idea, I go with the idea of making a new arm from scrach. I feel a little bad because of that, but we put the importance of the mission above everything else. Be a ninja sometimes do things you dont like. I not gonna discard my old wood arm of course, since it could work as a spare arm just in case something happens. Never know when you need a extra arm in certain ocasions."
"I think I go with you to explore the City and find the materials for the new arm. Two head think better than one, and we could discuss the ideas you mentioned for the arm. I can explore Lake Acuity after we finish our bussiness. Besides you are helping me making a new arm. It would be dishonor of my part leave you alone doing all the job. The least I should do is help you too."
Randolph heard out his styling spook of a partner out without interruption, nodding along at the what he felt were appropriate points in their speech. He could understand the desire to vocalize their thoughts/opinions in order to help better finalize them and come to a conclusion, and this was a fairly big decision he was foisting upon them on short notice, so deliberating on the matter didn't bother him at all.
When Kogeki decided to go ahead and let him build a new arm for him from the ground up, the midget man gave a decisive nod and crossed his arms, looking as serious as a person of his stature could be.
"It'll be done, then. 'Preciate you being flexible and understanding, especially since I know this ain't an easy decision to make on short notice. At least you'll still keep your friend's prosthetic in one piece as a keepsake, or backup if you or something else scraps your new shiny arm. *Looks even more serious* On that note, don't be a reckless idiot with your new arm, when ya get it. Building and maintaining it will be hard work, since its a custom job with fancy and rare parts, so if you end up wrecking it beyond repair in the field, their isn't a Heatran damn thing I or you can do to salvage it. That, and if you break it because of a stupid reason, I WILL tear you a new one. *Hard look* Understand?"
Since the cyborg ninja agreed to spend more time with Ran looking for the parts, that is exactly what they'll be doing! Ran will start by going to the local hospitals, as if there is any place with neuroscientist specialists and Neuro Sensor Parts in stock, it would be there! Afterwards, he'd head to a metal/scrap shop and buy/figure out the cost of twice the amount of material he thinks he'll need to build a Robo Arm for Kogeik (as have spare supplies when crafting a brand new design is always a smart idea). If the above two things don't constitute a full Encounter, he'd also try to find a tech head at a computer cafe of some sort in the city, as those would be the places to find someone able to program/teach him to program a arm!
The matter of selling/not selling Crobat will come later, so let's not focus on that now.
"Don't need to be worry Mr. Randolph. I no fool to break such new arm. I will be careful and take care of the arm."
Kogeki go along with Randolph, asking questions about part of the pieces necessary and helping Randolph to carry any metal parts Randolph thinks it might be useful.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Karen vs Candice Round 4
Medicham flexes, getting herself warmed up for the fight!
Bulk Up 1
3 Tough + 4 Contest + 3 Intimidate - 2 = 8 D6
(4)(3)(3)(3)(2)(1)(5)(1) +1 Strength and Defense for Medicham!
Rapidash has no complaints about using her favorite moves at full power! The grey fires blaze bright amid the icy cold of the arena as Rapidash melts most of the ice around her while she charges forward at full speed!
Flame Charge 1
(6)(5)(5)(1)(1)(4)(5)(3) Almost a crit, but Medicham fluidly deflects part of the blow at the very last second.
Medicham has 5* Defense after Bulk Up.
(6)(4) Medicham takes 2 damage! 7/9 HP -1 Pain
+1 Dexterity for Rapidash
The moment Rapidash makes contact, Medicham presses her palm into the horse's side with force in an attempt to slow her down!
Force Palm 2
10 - 1 - 4 = 5 D6
(6)(4)(4)(2)(1)
5* Strength (Pure/Huge Power grants +1 Strength in this game) + 2 Power + STAB - 3 Defense = 5 D6
(6)(5)(3)(1)(6) Rapidash takes 3 damage! 6/9 HP -1 Pain
(6)(1)(3) Rapidash is Paralyzed! -2 Dex
(2)(1)(1) Nope.
L: (4)(4)
D: (4)(2)(3)
Okay, I guess she'll use a weaker attack now. Candice looks a little confused about why you'd order a Rapidash to use such a basic attack, though. But the positive part? It shows Karen is actually able to control this wild horse, so yay, I guess?
Tackle 2
(5)(2)(1)(2)
(2) No damage as Rapidash just bounces off of Medicham's open palm.
Medicham's turn, and she's using a move that'll hopefully keep her ready for that Nidorina should it come back out!
Zen Headbutt 3
(6)(6)(5)
(6)(2)(1)(6)(3)(4) Rapidash takes 3 damage! 3/9 HP -2 Pain
(2)(1)(3)
(6)(5)(3) Fwoosh! Medicham is Burned 1 by Flame Body!
More FIRE!!!
Flare Blitz 3
(5)
(4)(2)(1)(2)(5) Medicham takes 2 damage! 5/9 HP -1 Pain
(3)(5) Rapidash takes 1 damage 2/9 HP -2 Pain
(6) FWOOSH! Medicham is Burned 3!
(GM's note: as long as you aren't intentionally trying to kill a Gym Leader's pokemon, using Lethal damage against them is generally allowed because Gym Battles are a controlled environment where medical attention is within easy reach. Using Lethal damage outside of League officiated battles is generally discouraged. In general, though, always be careful with Lethal damage)
"Oh no, Medicham! We need to end this quickly, before that horse burns us to a crisp!"
Despite being set entirely aflame, Medicham is fighting back twice as hard!
Ice Punch 4 (Medicham is required to use at least one Ice move since she's part of an Ice gym, after all)
10 - 8 - 1 = 1 D6
(5)
(1)(2)(4)(1)(2) No damage for the fire horse!
(6) She is Frozen solid, however!
This seems like a good time to mention how Freeze will work in this game. I reread the mechanics in the book, and it says that the pokemon can only attempt to break out of the ice at the END of the Round. If they can use a move Super Effective against Ice, they can break out immediately at that time. Otherwise, they have to make a Strength check to break free. (the book doesn't specify how many successes are needed to break free)
Fortunately, it doesn't matter in this case, as Rapidash does NOT want to stay Frozen solid, and thus learns Ember on the spot (it's one of Rapidash's 0 exp moves) of her own accord and uses it to melt the Ice Block instantaneously! (it does, however, count against the 4 move limit for this battle, so Rapidash has used all 4 of her moveslots now)
Medicham doesn't have enough Vitality to resist the Burn 3, so she takes 3 Lethal damage! 2/6 HP -2 Pain (3 Lethal)
Does Karen switch pokemon? Medicham is guaranteed to faint at the end of Round 5. Not changing
When Karen sees the Medicham practically spontaneously combust, she says "Omigosh, sorry, didn't mean to ignite her! If you'd like, I can give you a Burn Heal after this battle to treat her."
"Okay, use Ember and Tackle, but refrain from burning Medicham anymore."
Ember (Held back to remove Burn CD)

Tackle

Karen vs Candice Round 5
Again, this is probably going to be a fast Round.
Fortunately, it's kinda hard to increase the intensity of a burn when it's already at maximum strength.
Medicham's job right now is to KO that horse, though!
Zen Headbutt 1
10 - 2 - 2 = 6 D6
(4)(1)(1)(4)(1)(3) The Burn almost makes Medicham lose her focus and slip on the ice, but she manages to headbutt the horse anyways.
(5)(5)(3)(6)(4)(3) Rapidash faints.
(-)(-)(-)
Medicham nods in satisfaction as Rapidash crumples under the force of the powerful collision.
...and then cringes in excruciating pain as the Burn 3 does its job. Medicham takes 3 Lethal damage and faints. 0/3 HP (6 Lethal)
Candice rushes onto the battlefield to extinguish the Burn 3 with a Burn Heal before the damage gets any worse, then recalls Medicham. She lets out a sigh of relief.
"...that's okay, Karen. Dealing with Lethal Damage is a part of my job. I've always got a healthy supply of Burn Heals since I end up facing a LOT of Fire types for obvious reasons."
She skates back to her position on the battlefield, then holds up one last pokeball.
"Well, I think you've got this under lock and key now, but I'm not done with you yet! Anyone who can get this far has to answer to one of my three strongest pokemon before I can give them the Icicle Badge! Are you ready?"
Who's Karen sending out to face Candice's final pokemon?

"I'm going to break the ice and bring out my last-resort Pokémon!"
Candice sends out her Abomasnow! Snow Warning triggers, causing it to start Hailing again!
Candice's eyes go wide again when Lopunny Mega Evolves!
"Eep! Okay, I was NOT expecting that! Abomasnow, be careful, and give this battle all you've got!"
This (female) Abomasnow looks especially Tough and Strong compared to the rest of Candice's pokemon.
Round 6 Initiatives
Mega Lopunny: (2) + 10* = 12
Abomasnow: (1) + 10 = 11

Karen vs Candice Round 6
M-Lopunny flips back one of her ears, looking very cutesy and particularly beautiful, then leaps into the air, does a little somersault...
Jump Kick 1 (M-Lopunny only gets +1 Dex from the Mega Evolution)
(6)(5)(6)(6)(5)(1)(1) ...and comes crashing down on Abomasnow with an outstretched leg! Direct hit!
Abomasnow has 6* Defense while it's Hailing. And just as a reminder, Super Effective hits add a flat +1 damage, not +1 damage dice.
(5)(3)(1)(3) Abomasnow takes 2 damage. 10/12 HP -1 Pain
Abomasnow does much the same thing that Snover did previously, throwing a bunch of snow into the air, only for it to crash back down on its target!
Avalanche!! 1
12 base - 2 - 1 = 9 D6
(6)(5)(3)(2)(5)(6)(2)(3)(1)
5 Strength + 2 + 2 damaged + STAB - 2 Defense = 8 D6
(4)(2)(3)(3)(4)(1)(3)(5) M-Lopunny takes 3 damage! 3/6 HP -2 Pain
M-Lopunny jumps again! 2
And it's a good thing, too, because Abomasnow was about to do this!
Focus Blast 2
It misses though, impacting one of the gym's walls instead since M-Lopunny just jumped out of the way of it.
M-Lopunny then comes crashing down on Abomasnow again with the force of an aerial pokemon!
Bounce 3 (-6 Action penalty since this is Lopunny's third action for the Round)
(5)(6)
(2)(2) Abomasnow takes 1 damage. 9/12 HP -1 Pain
(1)(3)(1) Nope
Abomasnow isn't done with Lopunny yet, though! One gigantic arm swings around to smack the rabbit away with incredible force!
Wood Hammer 3
12 - 6 - 1 = 5 D6
(4)(4)(1)(1)(5)
(6)(6)(4)(1)(1)(6)(1)(2)(3) M-Lopunny takes 3 damage and faints! She also turns back into her base form!
(4)(3)(6) Abomasnow takes 2 damage, then eats her Sitrus Berry! 10/12 HP -1 Pain
"Alright! Go Abomasnow! You can do it! We're totally able to stomach those Fighting types' attacks while our Hail is up!"
Which of Karen's pokemon is next? If your orders for the next Round also don't depend on the initiative, go ahead and send those as well.

Nidorina's growling competitively at Abomasnow as well! Yup, +1 Strength from Rivalry!
Nidorina's Initiative: (6) + 8 = 14! She goes first!
Poison Jab 1 (forgot the Poison Barb)
(3)(3)(5)
(4)(2)(2)(5) Abomasnow takes 3 damage 7/12 HP -1 Pain
(1)(6)(2) Abomasnow was Poisoned!
Here comes another...
Avalanche!! 1
(4)(3)(2)(3)(2)(4)(3)(5)(6)
(4)(3)(4)(3)(6)(6)(5) Nidorina takes 5 damage and faints!
(4)(1)(1) Abomasnow takes 1 damage from the Poison. 6/12 HP -2 Pain
"Keep going Abomasnow! You're doing great!"
