Unless.....Ven's book and what we already learned about Genesect could help......hmm.....

Maybe?  The potential problem with that application is that the Silverfish Report is specifically about Modern Day Genesect, not the ancient ones modified by Sarimanok/the FTS.  They might not necessarily be the same...

Nathan has definitely made it a point to read up on Genesect, though, so maybe...?

Maybe you can do a Lore/Insight Roll on this Genesect, and see/determine if you can figure out its 'Clues' and/or if its actually possible to pull Diplomacy / Ventus with the primal beast? If anyone can dig up the dirt on a Legend, it would be our group's resident historian! Iron?

Fun Fact: Terra really doesn't know anything about Genesect, other that they exist, they are a Legendary and could be a threat, and that he's left all matters and info concerning the Mythical Bug to Nathan. He didn't tell Terra anything else about them, nor did he include any information about Genesect in The Portfolio . He's almost completely in the dark here, really!

Doesn't need to be an expert on the primal beast to know they're a threat, though, and what he may have to do in order to save his friends.

Have a risky plan already forming, now that I know that Genesect is both dumb and 'vulnerable' to mental debuffs/trickery: Try to bluff/distract it out with Oinari Illusioned as a rival Genesect, channeling his Raw Intimidation Stats into her to make her seem like a Big Bad Bug it does NOT want to mess with. The fact it also has Ember to play around with could also help the act even more, as if Genesects don't like FIRE and a nasty looking member of their race can use it against them, it might scare them even more! If someone could also Confuse them prior to the deception, that probably help it greatly too! How does that sound, Dragonstrike? Everyone?

That might have a chance of producing results.  Flatter and Swagger are even specifically emotion based methods of Confusing the opponent

Given that we also have an Imposter Ditto available (how'd ya like my little secret surprise, btw?), that might also be something to consider (assuming Imposter works in this scenario).

- Genesect might have a set Initiative if it comes to a battle, and Terra's not the fastest guy here by a long shot, so the Illusion could possibly end up broken before Ember is used if Initiatives are rolled
- Gothitelle is our only Flatter user on hand, and she's a Psychic type
- Swagger tends to make opponents more aggressive.
- Ember isn't exactly a very impressive move that strikes fear into the hearts of whoever sees it

Eh......I'm not too keen of giving Genesect a buff on top of Confusion, unless I can have Pixie out to Snatch that portion of the Move. Don't we have any other Pokemon that can learn Confuse Ray (Since pretty lights can elicit an emotional response/change in just about anything with light sensory organs and a developed enough brain, particularly INSECTS), or knows it already?

....I honestly should have expected that the Ditto would have its HA, given how special it was and the big deal its always been treated as, but to quote an most irritating being, 'Hindsight can be such a pain.' Pretty impressed that you managed to keep it secret for THAT long, though, so congrats for that! Maybe Ditto can save us all, if they're able to replicate even a fraction of a Genesect's POWER and Plot Devices!

Concerns of yours:
- Terra has 4 DEX and 5 Survival, so he's not exactly the slowest anymore. He's no speed demon like Nathan, but he can keep up now!
- ....Well, sometimes, one has to throw themselves on the sword in order to achieve victory. Whether or not that will be required is to be decided. Ideally, someone is willing to body block for Lilith long enough for her to Flatter Confuse it, Pixie Snatches any buffs on them she can (among other stuff), and then once they're mentally softened up THEN Oinari can be sent out. Alternatively, send both her and Imposter Ditto simultaneously regardless of Confusion (Ideally with it, but we can adapt!), and try to scare/Intimidate it with DOUBLE GENESECT TROUBLE!
- Pixie Snatch Steal! She can survive at least one hit if necessary, so if someone can Flatter/Swagger Genesect (Or just plain Confuse him), then she can just steal the STR Portion of the buff!
- Ember's Intimidation factor comes less from its actual firepower, and more from the fact that a fellow Genesect of its can USE FIRE , possibly AGAINST IT. If anything, Illusion can probably extend to the visual appearance of her attacks that Oinari can do (Otherwise Illusion wouldn't be nearly as effective as it is), and Terra has pretty decent Perform Status + Intimidation to pull a 'Fear/Intidimidating Display' (And can raise Perform to 3 right NOW), so pulling the act is not totally impossible. His Contest career is coming in hand outside of Belly Drum, surprisingly !

Its a risky gambit, like I said, but if we can pull it off....well, I need not speak for the results, am I right?
