[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Actually, that brings up another good question I'd like to double check if possible.

Does Nathan know if those ancient Genesect typically gained any secondary types from their own modifications, or were they simply pure Bug type? And what about the ones artificially modified by the FTS and Sarimanok?

And does this Genesect look like it might be part Steel type after Deoxys modified it further?  Or does it look like it might be Bug/Rock or another combination?

For this one, the only hints I can give you are in the description already.

In the past, though, there have been Genesect of many type combinations, always Bug/Something. FTS created a Bug/Dark, Sarimanok experimented with a Bug/Steel and a Bug/Psychic - you aren't sure which were successful. This one definitely isn't Dark or Psychic.

Spira voices his presumptions to the rest of the group about the Genesect possibly being a Rock type, "Judging by the rock-like appearance of this 'Genesect', I think its highly likely it might be a Rock-type Pokemon."

Hummm, when Spira soft-insists that this Genesect possibly features a Rock Type, Shiva gives this creature another, now much closer second look. It's true, she can't deny that THIS Genesect looks not quite the same like that one she has seen depicted and drawn in books - she knows for a fact that Team Plasma was modifiying this being before Noble N stopped this plan officially, but could other colonies have worked on their own, resulting in alternate 'versions' of Pokemon feat. a different secondary Type? It's by any means possible, she guesses... But she believes that it would always keep their primary Bug Type.

"You might be right on that, Spira....", she'll adress him, "We'll certainly find out once we start targeting our attacks on it. It'd suprise me though if it lost its Bug Type in favour to solely Rock, so at best it turns out to be Bug and Rock Type simultaneously. That means it'll hate Water, cold Steel and fellow Rocks..." Hehe, if that guess turns out to be correct, Shiva already knows what she'll throw at this creature with a sinister glee, but she'll keep that as a potential ace up her sleeve.

With the plan how to handle this situation being discussed and agreed eventually (the Scimitars ended up left out on that - but is it reasonable that they'd agree on things too, Iron? Marco's Pokemon, I hope they'll be helping as well to a degree?), the natural fae-enthusiast's stance visibly hardens. A last determined glance to everybody mimics her sheer will and belief that this will work out fine, she's also enjoying that via fighting at the front line/take an important task by inflicting confusion on that Genesect she can do something directly. Drawing the Pokeballs of Yena and Raphael, Shiva whispers the plan and their respective orders now already to let them know what to do from the moment they're summoned: She may have saved a few seconds at best, but these seconds could decide over loss or victory in that case.

With that the Balls are tossed, the archangel and butterwolfly manifest and outright jump into action - let this fight at last begin. (the actions are untouched by the Init Order, so I'll throw them out now already if that's fine)

------------------------------------

The first thing Raphael's doing is messing with this ancient bug's mind by adorably toying with them.

Accuracy Roll Sweet Kiss 1: 4 Dext + 4*Fight + 4 Allure - 3 Inaccuracy - 3 Actions = 6d6
Effect: Confuses that Modified Genesect.
Secondary Effect: Neatly shows his mischievous and sly side.
Conditional: Shall this Action fail or shall Raphael be hurt once he gets to this Action (means, if by any means he has less dice than 6 in this Roll), MAKE it hit via a spent Will Point.

Then blades made of pure air start slicing this mean bug, targeting the limbs!~
[Image: e8f62ddceb6c3697c2a60dfbf24919a0.jpg]

Accuracy Roll Air Slash 2: 4 Dext + 4*Fight + 6 Channel - 4 Actions = 10d6
Accuracy Roll Air Slash 3: 4 Dext + 4*Fight + 6 Channel - 5 Actions = 9d6
Damage Roll: 4 Strength + 3 power of the move + STAB = 8d6. It's SE on Bug Type, but depends on the secondary Type of Genesect.
Additional notes: Has 5*CD to flinch that bug thanks to Serene Grace Ability - under normal conditions, that is.

Yena, bless the winged wolf, has orders to sink his infamous teeth into that foe at FULL force, in particular into that four drones hovering above their shoulders to destroy and dismantle them. If he can, he's also asked to fetch one piece for Shiva to analyze.

Accuracy Roll LETHAL Crunch 1: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 4*Brawl - 4 Actions = 7d6
Accuracy Roll LETHAL Crunch 2: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 4*Brawl - 5 Actions = 6d6
Accuracy Roll LETHAL Crunch 3: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 4*Brawl - 6 Actions = 5d6
Accuracy Roll LETHAL Crunch 4: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 4*Brawl - 7 Actions = 4d6
Damage Roll: 4 Strength + 3 power of the move + STAB = 8d6
Additional notes: Has 1 CD to lower Genesect's Defense by 1 thanks to the force of that bite.

One Crunch will hopefull deal properly with one Drone, so at best Yena managed to destroy and dismantle them all once he's out of Actions. Shall he fall to half his HP, Shiva will call him to her to power him up with a Potion. Shield Dust Ability also protects him from CD-effects.

"Alright Toya and Nubi! Let's do this, Toya, should that thing use a Bug or Rock move, disable them, and freeze that bug! Nubi, start things off with a Lucky Chant and hit it with Power Gem!"
Battle Music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSYpoPriSls
Toya
Conditional Order: (If Genesect is higher in the initiative order and uses a Bug-type or Rock-type Move)
Disable
Accuracy: Dex(5*)+Fight(5)+Canalize(4)-Actions(5)= 9D6
Otherwise, use 5 Ice Punches
Ice Punch A-E
Accuracy: Dex(5*)+Fight(5)+Brawl(4)-Actions(5)= 9/8/7/6/5 D6
Damage: Strength(4)+3= 7D6 SE?
Notes: 1CD Freeze, might be negated by PD

Nubi
Lucky Chant
Accuracy: Dex(5*)+Fight(5)+Perform(0)-Actions (4)= 6D6
Notes: User and Allies can ignore one set of Snake-eyes in rolls and negates opponent's crits

Power Gem A/B/C
Accuracy: Dex(5*)+Fight(5)+Canalize(4)-Actions(4)= 9/8/7 D6
Damage: Strength(4)+Hard Stone(1)+3= 8D6, SE?
Notes: A and B target two of the drones and C targets Genesect itself.

Nathan quickly and calmly summarizes out loud the important bits of what he knows abut Genesect as a species so everyone in the group knows.

"...territorial, particularly when it comes to others of their kind.  Emotionally unstable.  But very prideful and aware of when they've been bested.  That just about sums up wild Genesect as a species.  We can fight this thing.  I haven't read everything I can get my hands on concerning Genesect to be stopped here by one!"

Gallade and Calam are Nathan's choice of pokemon to start with! They're honestly the two pokemon he has that are the best suited for this. Kinda want to see the initiatives before sending in orders, as usual.

Terra gives a firm nod of agreement with Nathan's statement, clasping a hand on his shoulder and giving it a tight squeeze of silient support, before he lets go and readies himself for what would no doubt be the biggest and most important battle of his life. The mountain of a man has faced many a threat or challenge and had always overcome them or survived to fight another day, but this, this Deoxys Modified Genesect was in another league entirely. From what he learned from Ven and his battle against Primal Lurantis, you couldn't just slug it out against a Legendary threat, even if they possessed vastly less strength/power than its origin or contemporaries - you needed to know its weaknesses, and then exploit them with brutal efficiency. Otherwise, you'd just get taken out, like a fresh Pecha Berry off the produce shelf.

From what Nathan told him about it just now and what he gleaned about it himself during his ruminations.....he now had a plan. A plan to take care of this Genesect in one fell swoop, or put it off balance enough so that the rest of the collective can swoop in and topple it, once and for all.

It was risky. Beyond dangerous. Could even cost him or one of his Pokemon their lives if the plan drops like a lose Pokeball from his belt.

But desperate times called for desperate measures, and Fighting against a Legendary certainly qualified for them, no matter how diminished it was.

He would do what he must, in order to protect and safeguard his friends.

No matter what.

(Ready for THE FIGHT, Iron! Terra's first Pokemon of choice will be Edmundi, and he'll order to stay out of the Fight by Digging underground and staying their until he gives her a signal! Let's do this, and pray to RNG that we're going to prevail....!)

Terra is among the first to bark out his orders, making a sweeping gesture at DMG with one hand!

"Edmundi, Wide Guard on Raphael, Mightyena, Gallade, Calam, and Quetzal and anyone else you can, then use Head Smash on Genescts flying weapons! Protect everyone you can, with shield and your Strength!"

Orders: Wide Guard to (hopefully) blunt DMG's initial assault, then have Edmundi just Head Smash 4 Times against the Drones, focusing on one at a time until they are ALL taken down. He's holding a Life Orb, so factor that into his Damage Calcs, and he'll get a Super Potion if he falls to 1/2 HP! Brute force defense, engage!!!

Moves:

Edmundi: Five Actions - Wide Guard and HEAD SMASH X 4 (STR + 6 + STAB + Life Orb = 15D6 Base Damage. Let's see if that'll dent the Bug's Drones Plot Armor!)
Dice Pool: Channel (12D6), Brawl (14D6)
