[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

"Hmm.....*Nods* fair enough. Very understandable, too. Fine with numbers you bring, then. If we have to fight more Pokemon like Genesect, more help is.....appreciated. *Nods* Okay. First Artifact is ours, next is yours."

That should be that, unless the rest of the group has anything to say about this?

"Genesect is likely to be far from the worst thing in these Ruins, Cosh.  I don't think anyone on the surface knows exactly how dangerous this place is any more.  I hope everyone's prepared to face that, whatever it might entail."

So much for Cosh's argument of 'the Scims have been to the Ruins already'.  Doesn't seem to be doing them much good now that they're actually going deeper down.

Through the door above, four more Scimitars come rappelling. "I've requested some reinforcements to replace Elya and Gendry. As per our deal, which of the Artifacts will you start carrying? If you take the Sword, we shall take the next one. Or we could take the Sword, and you the next one."

Concerning the Artifacts, it is Shiva's strong desire to eventually wield one to fully become the HERO she strives to be so badly and finally directly proof to herself that she does not deserve to be overshadowed - which one it'll be she doesn't mind, as long as she gets the chance to use it against that Deoxys in the first place with her very own hands. She appears to not have the guts to insist on this now or start a fight - she's set on her desire though.

Aww! Smol black rat appears to enjoy this drawn place with their full heart, this's bringing a dear smile to the face of the natural fae enthusiast. Encouraged by that and curious what may happen, she adresses the shadow: "Can you actually hear me, lil' black rat? Enjoying this place, aren't we? ^_^♡ Is that....shiny Sylveon with you?"

Spira pockets the doll for now.

Like Terra, Spira is initially wary when Cosh brings in more reinforcements than initially agreed on.
"Hmm... I don't know about this, seems rather fishy no matter how you put it..." Spira is gonna be keeping an extra close eye on these added 'recruits'.

Shiny Sylveon is always visible in the card. Alas, sound doesn't seem to travel across the painting.

Oh, no response. Well, the next thing Shiva'd try it tapping the artwork herself, which she GUESSES will do nothing either as she probably has done so countless times involuntarily and never a thing happened. For now, she lets Lilith take a hold on the card - and turns towards Noble Cofagrigus once more: "Allow me to pose yet another question, noble and benelovent king - are you familiar with a small black rat that knows how to paint abstract and skillful Egyptian symbols, could it be a member of your kin or kingdom?" Depending how and whether the spectral coffin responses, she might mention that she's semi-captured them or not.

Moving on a bit.

Quote:Shiva's on the right track. Inserting enough keys to fill that ankh shape flung the door wide! All the Yamask start making a weird wailing song bidding you farewell. Below you hear the bubbling of an immense amount of water! And that otherworldly "song" from below has not ceased, the whole rest through.

Cosh: "The Wishing Well represents the boundary between the two layers. The Sword must be hidden very nearby. In fact..."

Humm, Shiva's got a strong feeing that this song and this calmness are related, or, even better, this song is the reason for this hypnotic calmness! It makes her mind jump to the Modern version of sirens, those that are described as mermaids and not as women with birdlike traits. But, Shiva frowns as the only Pokemon that she knows of and would call a mermaid is Primarina, and this creature's singing sounds a lot different thank what she is used from this Pokemon. .....But, that does not mean there aren't more, so seeking some visual cover behind Arachnautilus, she mindfully checks her Almanac to see whether there are Pokemon in Tandor that could be classified as a mermaid.

She ends up observing the water surface once she's through, seeking for any hints of THIS Pokemon or basically anything alive that is calling this well its home, asking the others to keep an eye out as well. "Something IS down this well, there just must be. Something that SINGS with such a grace and skill that it can't be from this world. SOMETHING."

Cofagrigus has had dealings with that Ratsy, but doesn't consider it part of his kingdom.

When you tap on the card while focusing on its contents, you are suddenly pulled through!

You find yourself in a big field of pink flowers, cradled by an icy mountain you're sure is nowhere in Creshire. The ruins of an old farmhouse is nearby, now collapsed. Despite the ruins, you feel an aura of calm in this grassy meadow.

Ratsy runs up to you and globs some paint on your shoes as a greeting. But the most amazing thing is the pastel-blue creature peering at you between the slats of a fence. Thanks to the ribbons shyly wrapping around the fence, you can positively identify this as a shiny Sylveon.

The Almanac brings up entries on Selkid, Syrentide, Brailip, and Brainoar. Similar species would include Glavinug and Eletux. And don't forget Vaporeon with her mermaid's tail!

However, peering down into the darkness, you can't make out the well or any Pokemon. You do hear a few splashes.

Spira is shocked and worried when he sees Shiva get whisked away (or should I say 'spirited away'...) yet again. Assuming the card is still in this plane of existence, He picks up the card and goes in it after her.
