[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Ratsy goes to sleep in your voluminous pocket as you exit the card. You can still see Sylveon in the card, but Ratsy's shadow has disappeared.

Awwwwwwwwww cute! <3 Shiva lets him sleep there as long as he wants and even as she goes to sleep quickly after this adventure - in the 'morning' she checks on him and feeds him too as she distributes breakfast to all her Pokemon, but doesn't dare to register him to a Pokeball just yet. It's actually nice and sweet to carry him around in her pocket like this, and she can always nudge him with a Ball to send his into the safety of a PC Box in case of danger. And, she doesn't feel like Ratsy will escape her company that soon.

She makes sure that there's enough paper inside the voluminous pocket so that Ratsy can paint it if he gets bored. ^^

Cofagrigus has had dealings with that Ratsy, but doesn't consider it part of his kingdom.

Spira is shocked and worried when he sees Shiva get whisked away (or should I say 'spirited away'...) yet again. Assuming the card is still in this plane of existence, He picks up the card and goes in it after her.

*Flashback Era!*

Terra himself nearly falls over when he sees both Shiva and Spira vanish into one of Sensi's Cards, his eyes widened and posture slackened with surprise! He knew that some of The Cards could transport people to other places, but he hardly expected them to seemingl absorb people too! He very nearly stampeded over to pick up the card to investigate what the hecky happened and try to figure out a way to free his friends from it, but soon found that was not necessary when the two appeared back in the Skull Ruins a moment later! The sagely monk rushed to the two breeders with a harried expression, looking at the two with clear relief and worry.

"Shiva, Spira, you okay! What happened? Card took you away, but you back now...."

Yes, he IS quite concerned about what occurred.

*Modern Era!*

As for his mode of exploration down at the Well, he'll hop on Angie and fly down and around their along with Cosh and help search/scout the place out that way, as by doing so he doesn't have to worry about the Hazards nor size of the islands, and can concentrate on finding stuff/defending himself/the group from threats.

Seeing Terra making such a fuss over her wellbeing, Shiva couldn't help but to chuckle to herself as she does her best to assure him that everything's safe and sound. "I'm fine, I'm fine! Nothing happened. I was just...." She throws an apologizing glance over to Spira, then scratches the back of her head and adjusts her cloak all to overplay her embarassment. "....Well, curiosity caught me again. ^_^; I was following a lil' rat-like Pokemon I've never seen before, they somehow entered the card artwork and I followed. Spira, being the hero he is, came after me by his own will. No danger or threat has found us though!" She gently hugs his right arm to express a shy 'thank you', then goes  "Pssst, that smol Pokemon's trying to sleep now!~" towards Terra.

Nathan doesn't really have much to say about Shiva and Spira vanishing into the Shiny Sylveon card.  He does, however, take note of what happened.

As for the Well situation...well, I imagine that Gallade picks up on how furtive Shiva is being.  Certainly odd behavior, given the situation.  What would Shiva have to hide?

You touch down on a tiny archipelago of rocky islands. Little blue Pokemon with fish tails for hair slip away into the water,  their singing fading a you enter their domain. 

In the half darkness, little sapphires sparkle in the ceiling and scattered within the islands. There are also cut blocks of cobalt making up pillars, docks, and one vast stubby column with multiple buckets on chrome winches. Chrome statues of Slowpoke and family line the rim, carved to look like they're operating the machinery. 

The main source of the singing is the largest island. The cobalt and sapphire have been worn away to smooth stone covered in blue sand. A massive body covered in scales is slung across the island with its tail dipping  into the well column. She wears a golden trident in her scaly hair, and carries another that glows faintly. A spherical jewel gleams in the weapon, which looks like a crude mega stone. She is singing tunelessly, but as you gather she changes her tune. 

Unown float up out of the water, creating short phrases as the Syrentide smiles at you.

Slowpoke Well proved to be another nostalgic sight for Terra as he floated down into upon Angie, the island formations and currents of deep blue water be heavily reminiscent of the reefs, sandbars, and tiny outcropping along the oceanic Routes of Hoen. Its mysterious merfolk inhabitants, metal decorations and constructs, and all the sapphires set above and about the subterranean archipelago gave the place a distinct old and cultured feel of its own, however, as if the place he was entering into an ancient hidden kingdom of old that had been forgotten by time.

In a way he was right, for before he could fully complete his observations (and also determining the value of the gemstones/if he could excavate them), his attention was diverted onto what by all rights appeared to be a mermaid queen as she greeted her. The sight of such a regal and mythical being derailed his train of thoughts and caused him to gormlessly stare at her, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He's heard of old tales back home describing creatures similar to the one before him, women fish folk singing captivating songs that lured sailors to some untold doom, so discovering with his own eyes that those tales were true to some extent was quite a shock to the sagely monk, to say the least

Her message snapped him out of his torpor, and regardless if he understood it or not the mountain of a man gave the mythical siren a slightly unnerved look, before he tentatively replied.

"Uh.....hello siren queen. Sorry for.....trespassing in domain. Looking for an Artifact, and think one may be.....around here. Do you know anything about it....?"

Meanwhile, the supreme seraphic serpent was giving the regal aquatic life-form her own leery glare, but for different reasons that her papa. Something about them just......unnerved her on some level. As if they had some sort of......magical whimsy that could trip her up badly if they were to unleash it, *SSsssZzZ.....*

(Since you haven't stated otherwise, I'm going to assume Terra knows how to read whatever Unown the Mega Syrentide is using to communicate with him/the group)

Okay, now Terra was confused on top of unnerved, as the mermaid queen was seemingly being downright generous to a incessant degree with him/the group, prompting him to give her a look of befuddled curiosity.

"......Forgive me for asking, but.....why you so kind and welcoming with us, Siren Queen? We are strangers from......foreign lands. You do not know us, and we do not know you. So....why?"

After a few more seconds of mulling over her 'words' , the sagely monk continues, speaking once more in a tentative, diplomatic tone, presenting an open hand to her to demonstrate his willing to accept her and her words.

".....If you......open to bargain, though.....what would be suitable offering in exchange for......right and permission to.......search area for Pokemon to make our partners, and treasures and make them ours? *Beat* ....What boons would you be interested in from us? Our treasures? Stories of adventure? Knowledge from beyond your kingdom? Favors? What?"

What Shiva ends up finding as she has reached down an island thanks to Lilith and Azu, is simply and blatantly AMAZING her, it's like a small waterly paradise safely hidden away from all malicious ghosts and dangers of the Skull Ruins! It's all so sparkling and held in such a beautiful shade of blue!! Oh heavens, she believes that if her Vaporeon would be to see this, she would perform saltos and backwards-somersaults out of being thrilled to bits and then directly leap into the water to take a swim with these fellow mermaid-like beings. Speaking of them and watching them slip away into the water, they're soooo cute, Shiva just has to craft a plushie resembling this 'Mon the next time.


At the sight of the main singer, she lightly gasps and instinctively falls to her knees, Azu follows this gesture. It does look somewhat different from that 'Syrentide' her Almanac displayed, but as she spots that gleaming stone in Her weapon, she chuckles and understands. A true beauty and queen of the sea indeed with a lovely and extraordinaire singing voice, aww!


With curiosity and attention she watches as Terra already starts to make deals with Her. Yes, if Shiva's being honest to her self, she'd absolutely love to collect a bit of that blue sand and maybe one or two sapphires, as well as some scales from these Selkid - but at the same time, she's cautious and somewhat sceptic; and as Azu dips a hand into the water to playfully splash a bit, she gently nudges her blue fae rabbit and whisper to her: "Be careful, dear one! There's always a catch about such mystical wishing wells."

Shiva has a question towards Mega Syrentide herself: "Regal and beautiful queen of the well, do you allow me and my Pokemon taking a sip of this splashing water?" She watches the water surface, trying to determine whether it is safe to do so - and throws a questioning look to Spira: "Do you think it is fine and healthy to drink?"

The Almanac brings up entries on Selkid, Syrentide, Brailip, and Brainoar. Similar species would include Glavinug and Eletux. And don't forget Vaporeon with her mermaid's tail!

However, peering down into the darkness, you can't make out the well or any Pokemon. You do hear a few splashes.

Oh... Right, there's Vaporeon. *epic facepalm* Especially this Syrentide and Selkid sound like a Pokemon Shiva would mark as the source of this hypnotic singing, and the occasional splashes confirm to her that SOMETHING lives down there.

She gives an inquirering look towards her special blue fae-rabbit. "Listen, Azu... Would you be brave enough to head down into this water and see what is down there? The first Artifact, it must be somewhere down there or otherwise nearby, you see. I just like you to scout the waves a bit, preferably without accidently causing a ruckus or getting into a fight with the beings who call this body of water their home. ....Up for it, dear one? If anyone on my hand is suited for this, then it's you."

Shiva turns towards the others with the same gaze she gave Azu: "People, do you have any Pokemon on hand that could dive down there too to see what awaits us? Depending on what they find out, we can decide whether it's safe to get down there ourselves or not."

What she'd especially wish for, is no Pokemon leaving the radius in which they can be safely and normally withdrawn into their Pokeball shall danger find them.

Heart was practice a bit with his Earthpower connection thought some meditation but when Shiva and Spira disappear he almost enter the card to get try get them back. 

Until the moment they returned. He take a releaf sigh and told them both. "Don't scare us like that! I thought it was some sort of Space thing again! Me and Rose still have bad memories about it..."

About Syrentide, Heart decided to leave Terra and Shiva as diplomatic persons. But did Syrentide notice Terra and Heart Jirachi blessings of Steel and Fire? Not to mention Heart high connection to Earthpower.
