The post you quoted answers that question, @Spiritmon.  A trainer wields it (most pokemon don't know how to use manmade objects properly), and it protects them and one other character of their choosing (pokemon or human) simultaneously.

Well, first of all, I'm highly interested in that special Sharpedo and Carvanha Duo, so I'd like to take that Encounter. They also feel like they'd be good to be dealt with in order to progress properly.

Second....... Since we really get to choose (aww, generous!~), I kinda wish for Shiva to take that Shield - please? @Spiritmon, I have to agree that I don't think a Pokemon (Rose in this case) can hold and wield it, and it's much more than which of your Pokemon can get the most competitive benefit out of it. I, well, read what this Shield can do and instantly thought that this fits Shiva's promise to Ven to make it out of the Ruins alive and in one piece quite decently/that it actively helps her fulfull this promise....

Hmm...sure. After everything Shiva accomplished so far, she is deserve in grab such artefact. As much I think Heart could make a use of such due to Knight/Soldier thing, and for such item could help him rebuild the ArcHeart clan, Shiva is much worth as everyone, and if is your char goal, I will not stop you.

But maybe we should hear Mika answer too, since he has as much right as everyone else. After all, his char is a time traveler, so he is worth too.

Hmm, I was thinking: What if Rose hold the shield? In terms of power, she is Heart strongest Pokemon due to her fire moves like Blast Burn and Flare Blitz, or Counter moves such as Thunder Punch/Close Combat. Such Shield to protect her would make her almost invicible. And with Calm Mind, even Super Effective attacks could barely hit her.

I think Heart, Shiva or Spira should take the shield. With such item, we could have some extra defense against our enemies.

I think we need a Pokemon or human capable of have hands. A Clawitizer such as Gustav would have problems with hold since, well, he has claws and no hands.

I also interested in grab that chest with TM and nuggets. I get a nice loot with Chest Pokemon, but having more money is always nice.

I don't think a Pokemon can wield the Artifacts.  They were made by humans, for humans.

I don't think the chest is an actual Encounter.  I think that's just loot we get to split amongst ourselves.

So the shield can be wield by a human and used to protect a companion or it is a Pokemon capable of wield it?

Okay, so now that we've snatched the loot from the floating treasure chest, who wishes to have what? Heart already took one of the 3 ancient TMs coding Aqua Jet for himself here, I myself don't need nor want one. There are 4 Nuggets worth 5k$, and since Windos kindly denied here, that's one for each remaining one of us. If the 10 Bleached Apricorns are plit equally, everyone gets two.

I'm fine with splitting the Apricorns and Nuggets equally.

Technically, Heart didn't grab the TM for himself since Spirit mentioned Posei.  However, that's assuming Posei can learn it in the first place...

Personally, I don't really need a TM for Aqua Jet that badly since I had Sid tutor all of Nathan's currently owned pokemon capable of learning it.  However, I wouldn't mind having one in the future if I get a pokemon I could teach it to (the Dratini that hatches from the egg Nathan has might be able to use it, for example.)

Also fine w/ splitting the loot equally, Spira would have also mentioned he kept one of the golden keys w/ the intent of splitting the cash gained from it equally among the party (2K/2.5K, depending on how it's split) once they get out.

Uh.....I believe you DO have a Ice Heal or two. WAAAAY back in Ice Gym Town (Forgot the name, forgive me), Ven bought her 1-2 Ice Heals in order to help her out, if I remember correctly. Did you happen to use those already, or did you forgot about them too until now?
