Gorebyss looks like it will die soon on its own.
Arete: (3) + 10* = 13
Sari: (4) + 9 = 13
Huntail: (5) + 4 Dex + 4 survival = 13
Crocanaw: (4) + 3 Dex + 4 Survival = 11
Your shiny sloth/snail is looking rather hungrily at the eel Pokemon, but very wary of the Dark fangs of that croc.
Arete is bound to you with the golden song of Syrentide, but still exceptionally fierce until a command is given.

(sorry for the lack of responses lately. Been having some writers block here recently.)
...yup, more dead trainers who have been here for who knows how long...empty bags means no means of identifying them this time, though...
...yeah, the danger they're in now is definitely hitting home for Nathan a lot more now. He always knew the Skull Ruins were dangerous, but actually being there is a completely different story compared to reading about it...
-------------------------------------------
Nathan has to try very hard to not panic when that Earthpower Treatment goes completely wrong. Fortunately, Gallade's presence and a calm hand on Nathan's shoulder helps a lot. This can still be fixed.
Nathan needs some time to collect himself after that, though.
Luxray is fretting more worriedly over Marco as well, it should be noted.
---------------------------------------------
Now then, as for encounters here...let's engage the Binacle horde. Nathan has some pokemon that could really benefit from getting more exp, and this seems like a good opportunity for them.
If Kelda could help out with this encounter, that'd be spectacular.
As for the two pokemon Nathan will start with, that would be Solosis and Snivy.

Terra, no longer an entirely a dunderhead when it came to picking up cues from his friends/partners, notices Sari's rather..... interested looks at the Huntail/Gorebyss + their fear of the killer croc, and after a couple seconds of blank faced thought softly spoke to her, a accepting tone pervading his words.
" Sari, focus on the the Huntail and Gorebyss and.....do what you wish with them. Arete will take of crocodile, so do not worry about them."
He then turned his undivided attention on his baby Legend and issues his commands to them/him (Which pronoun you prefer, Iron?), his countenance and manner appropriately stern but not unkind.
" Arete, attack crocodile, and keep them away from Sari. Use Screech on them, then Fell Stinger until they are Fainted. Don't kill them. Understood? Then go, please."
Order: Terra is pretty much going to let Sari do what she wants with the Huntail/Gorebyss as a means of building trust/camaraderie between them/see what they are capable of, while he has Arete just go to town on Croconaw with Screech and 4 Fell Stingers, doing their/his level best to keep them away from the magnificent sloth. Time to see the power of the mountain of a man's special Water types....
Moves:
Sari: Whatever she wants!
Arete: 5 Actions - Screech and Fell Stinger X 4 (STR + 1 + STAB + Silver Powder)
Dice Pools: Channel (14*D6), Brawl (15*D6) <- Only for Arete, Sari's would be 13D6 Channel

Oh, and I guess Nathan will also take the third Aqua Jet TM since nobody else has said anything about it yet.

Legendaries can be given a pronoun, since they have distinct personalities that might be gendered. Thus, "he" is acceptable for this Genesect. Biologically, Genesect is neutral. To the Pokemon it makes no difference.
Improbable Fishing Story Round 1
Screech 1
(1)(6)(3)(3)(4)(4) (2)(2)(6)
-2 Defense for Crocanaw
Sari does what Slowking often do when they're unsure about anything - she Yawns.
Yawn 1
(1)(4)(1)(3)(1)(2) (4)(4)(4)(6)(6)
Huntail became drowsy!
Now he'll make a better snack.
Screech 1 on Sari
(6)(4)(5)(6)(1)
-2 def for Sari
She looks cross at the racket.
Crunch 1 on Sari
(1)(4)(3)(6)(2)
(5)(5)(3) Sari takes 3 nonlethal dmg, Croc is just snapping at her to keep her away from his food. 9/12hp
CD: (5)
Fell Stinger 2
(1)(6)(3)(4)(6)(2) (5)(4)(2) Critical
(6)(1)(3)(3)(5)(6) (4) Croconaw takes 4 dmg 3/7hp -2 pain
Sari obstinately doesn't use Hidden Power, but she is trying to knock the Huntail loose.
Power Gem 2
(4)(3)(3)(5)(2)(5) (6)(6)(2)(2) Critical
(6)(3)(6)(2)(4)(1) Huntail takes 3 dmg
Bite 2
(1)(4)(5)(1)
(3)(4) Slowking takes 2 dmg 7/12hp
CD: (6)(2)(1) Slowking flinches 1
She's working up into a temper tantrum, as her meal is trying to eat her back.
Meanwhile, Croconaw has finally dared approach Genesect.
Crunch 2
(6)(3)
(2) No damage
CD: (1)
He finds that watery exoskeleton entirely unappetizing, and he's come way too close to that deadly stinger now.
Fell Stinger 3
(1)(3)(5)(6)(4)(2) (6)(5) Critical
(3)(6)(3)(3)(4)(4) (5) Croconaw faints. Str +2!
You can tell that Arete would gladly tear Croconaw to shreds if it weren't for the enchanted song.
Bite 3
(4)(1)(1) Miss.
Arete still has two buffed Fell Stingers on a Huntail that is out of actions and will soon fall asleep, so this combat is over. You can give the kill to Sari if you want, though she doesn't seem to mind letting Genesect strike the killing blow as long as she gets some food.

(Then Arete will be a he, then! Terra might be stern with them for good reasons, but that doesn't mean he won't try to build a geniune bond with them, and that can't be done if he's treating them too impersonally!)
Terra barely restrains the urge to grimace at seeing Arete palatable blood thirstiness against the toothy lizard and Huntail, instead maintaining a neutral/stoic expression as he walks over and pats them on the head.
"Well done, Arete. Your weapons are deadly like your......origin's. Thank you for your restraint."
He then turns his attention briefly to Sari, and finding that she seemingly is unconcerned whether she slays her meal or not, he turns back to his pintsized powerhouse, his face hardening as he pointed to both the eels and solemnly/gravely issued a command he knew they would relish.
" Arete, kill Huntail and Gorebyss. Leave the bodies intact as much you can."
Grim command grimly issued, the sagely monk then goes over to his rebellious scholar and pulls out a Potion, gesturing it at her.
" Wish to heal your wounds, Sari, if you would permit me to do so. Can also.....prepare Huntail and Gorebyss into a more.....tasty and refined meal too, if you want."
Though her outright refusal to use Hidden Power seemingly out of pure stubbornness disappointed and annoyed him, she had shown she was at least willing to fight on his behalf, even if its was mostly for selfish reasons. Hopefully the offer of healing and making their meal even more delicious would warm her up to him just ever so slightly. If not.....well, he certainly has his work cut out for him, then...
As for Crocanaw, they'll get a dose of Stun Spore (Courtesy of Michael) and a couple of Pokeball to catch them, or a Great Ball if they somehow break those two Pokeballs. If they break that, Terra would just let Arete have its way with them, as if he can't capture such a beast to sell later, then he might as well do the local ecosystem some good by thinning down the predator population and endear himself more to his little Legend while he was at it. He understands Pokemon Predation is a part of nature, but that doesn't mean he has to like it. All life was sacred to him, so killing even for substance discomforted him greatly, so Arete's almost gleeful predisposition towards senseless, brutal slaughter of his enemies......yeah. Still, he could put that nature of their's to good use, as nothing makes for a greater defender than one that is motivated to fight, has zero remorse for it's enemies, and nada conniptions in dealing with them as necessary. Let's just hope it never backfires on him.....
(If Sari agrees to Terra's proposal, he'll try his best to make some quality sushi for her out of them, thinking such a cultural dish might appeal to her regal sensibilities. I'll leave the matter of whether or not to Roll for the dish's creation to you, Iron.)

Gotcha! Croconaw was caught!
If you're just going to sell it, I'll just tell you it's worth $4k at its current disobedience, nothing too special about it.
Survival: (3)(6)(4)(5)(1)
You make sushi fit for a shiny, and Sari gains 1 point of Loyalty already.

You found nothing except the massive waterfall over the abyss. The next Artifact is supposed to be that way somewhere.

I'll assume that after Terra treats Sari to some quality Huntail/Gorebyss Sushi he regroups with everyone (And heals her wounds, if permitted), flying low over the water to them on the back of Angie by his lonesome and to them with a.....troubled expression. At that point, he'd (While still seat on his 'little' girl) raise his difficulties with deciding whether Sari should stay or go and asks for their opinions, though he says that after spending some.....quality time with them and Arete while fishing (Read: Unexpectedly Hunting with them; he doesn't outright say that, btw, but Nathan/Gallade/Shiva can tell it was not a wholly pleasant experience) , she seems just a little more willing to listen, but still being rather haughty.
I'll also assume that what Phantom had Shiva say to Terra about this matter applies just as well in this instance, so now he's just waiting for Heart's, Spira's, and Nathan's opinion(s). As it stands now, he's leaning towards keeping Sari, since he did managed to break through to her a bit in a short time, and his fae friend's words/Insight about her is weighing heavily and uncontested in his mind. He'll make his decision before the group continues on, so keep that in mind mates.
Finally, concerning the matter of progressing further into the Skull Ruins, he suggests they just all fly down into the abyss on their respective mounts. Angie can carry down 2-3 people, Quetzal at least 1 (Heart), Nathan can ride Charizardcarefully, Skarmory can probably FLY Marco and the rest of his Pokemon down, and the Scimitars likely have their own methods getting down (Or Angie/the other mounts do a round trip for them). Simple and effective, especially if they steer clear of the waterfall on the way down.
