"Well that didn't go as hoped." Spira gets an idea, a risky one, but hopefully it'll help to shed some light on the subject; "Go, Frillish!" hopefully the bio-luminescence will help prevent them from being blindsided down here.

At the dead end:
"Really? A dead end?" Spira raps on the glass separating them from the Pokemon, testing to see if he can tell how thick the glass is. "Dunno what that scraping noise is, but whatever it is, it doesn't seem to have moved." (no s***, Sherlock)

Even the bio luminescence does not work properly. You hear Frillish shiver. Every once in a while, you can see Frillish's head glow suddenly, but it doesn't illuminate anything but the ghost's own face. She doesn't like being in such impenetrable darkness.
Scrabbling = scuttling here. It sounds like something brushing and knocking against walls, floor, and ceiling as it walks.

This sounds like something that's alive, huge and invisible (or at least not visible in this immense darkness) lurking down here, making her want to get out of here even faster. (I've given my suggestions how, now waiting for the others to chip in). That ominous Frillish is adding to that as a sudden illuminated jellyfishlike 'Mon isn't comforting at all.
But, now that Shiva thinks about it, could this darkness be related/connected with the daaaarkness she and Arachna encountered in the Barrow Downs, that one where the horde of rodents attacked them? She at least remembers that this daaarkness could be pierced with several Flashes for a short amount of time, in contrary to this one here that insists on staying as dark as dark can be.

Frankly and bluntly, Shiva's shocked over having ended up in a dead end. She's not falling into a panic'd state luckily, but her fear increases and causes her mind to think in a rush as she knocks against the wall with emphasis as if she demands entrance from whoever dwells behind a closed door.
"Dead end....", she whispers to herself, "No, wait, what's that...??" She presses herself against the wall of the dead end and mimics eavesdroping, "People.... They're behind this glass, they indeed are, Posei and co., and they're EXCITED! Must have FOUND that Artifact or a hint of it!" She squals in delight, unable to hide her own excitement. "We must get away from here and to them, back to the surface somehow - but how in this desperate and pichtblack darkness??" Obscured by this very blackness, she throws a questioning look over to where she believes Terra and Spira, Heart and Arachnautilus are.
- Try to break this glassy dead end with a collective Pokemon attack (Rock Smash at best), which will let in a massive amount of water. Holding our breaths for a bit, we'll then dive and swim through this hole to the surface. Our Pokemon on hand can help us, in may case Azu. Problem: We have no idea how deep below the surface we are, and therefor no idea how long we'd have to swim to reach it. An average human can hold one's breath for one to two minutes (according to Google), I don't know if that's enough? Additionally, if there's something in this water that grabs us during this action, we may be screwed.
- Go back to where we started, means where the air currents are. On the way and from there, flying or leviating Pokemon on hand hold contact to the ceiling to alert us if there's a way up, which will hopefully lead us back to an island. Problem: It's increadibly dark, not even a 'Mon's Flash helps. We have to rely on other senses.
I'd prefer the second option if having to choose and if it's safe to do so.
Terra halts in his tracks as Shiva makes her announcement (as mentioned earlier), looking surprised but pleased by the news (Not that anyone could tell).
"Really? Good. Very good."
*Beat for a moment, as he thinks of HOW the group can get out of here*
"Hm.....ah. Oinari can lead us out. Has good sense of smell and not.....bothered much by Darkness, so she can.....retrace our trail and lead us out. *Raises his voice* Oinari, can you do that, please?"
Hopefully that'll suffice in getting the group out of the Chasm and abyssal darkness! Mikey is at the rear as before, ready to spew Spores, as neither he nor Terra are going to take any chances that no Ghost or some other fiend of Darkness doesn't phase into existence behind everyone!

Oinari barks confidently, but she is also whining as you get closer and closer to the sound of that scuttling.
Suddenly, Frillish looms out of the darkness ahead, like a greenish blue jack o lantern on an unlit night.
It fades away.
Then another appears, with a more twisted grin. It fades.
More. Three more. Half a dozen more, including a male and female Jellicent like the most swollen, grimacing pumpkins imaginable.
As they flash in the darkness, there is still a space they fail to illuminate. A form limned in negative space, a scuttling, scrabbling form. It has a bulky, bipedal shape, with a thick spiraling attachment. And two pairs of eyes, glowing only when the leering Frillish are nearby.
This eerie crowd is blocking the way forward.

To say that was startled or scared by the sudden mob of deep sea/water Ghosts would be.....a lie. He had been expecting exactly this sort of trouble to appear at some point quite literally, as the Chasm Underground, its impenitrable Darkness, and winding labyrthtine passages screamed 'Horror Movie Ambush Be Here Somewhere!' Terra may be dense with many a thing, but he's not completelyblind to such an obvious situational foreshadowing.
Expression grim as death, twice as severe, and harder than admantantium, the sagely monk calmly walked to the forefront of the group and glared at the assembly of spirits barring them here.
" Leave us alone. Now. You are not the monsters here."
When the Frillish/Jellicent flash fades away and they light up again, they would see that Oinari and Mikey standing in front of their partner, staring them down with their own brand of challenging menace. If its possible, then Oinari uses the moment of Darkness prior to her 'reveal' to Illusion herself into the form of Calam (She's saw him before, remember!) for extra Intimidation points! Mikey would just smack one clawed fist into another to get his point across: don't mess with this mushroom.
If the Jelly squad has kept the area 'lit' sense they fully grouped up, though, then instead Mikey springs froward and over the group to face off against them like a total boss, and Oinari starts bristly and floofing up mostly in anger (but with a smidgen of fear too), making herself appear bigger and badder than ever!
" We are. Beware."
Orders: Attempt to Intimidate the Jelly Squard + Unknown Terror into just leaving, or at the very least throw them off their game a little! Probably not going to work, but hey, worth a shot! His Intimidation Roll is 15D6, as it always is! In the likelihood that Intimidation totally fails, then Oinari and Mikey will be his choices for battle! No matter how spooky they are, Terra and his partner's aren't about to be scared by some Ghosties - more like they'll be the ones cowed, hopefully!

Oi, source of the noise has been found - or rather, 'it' found them. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea of Shiva to head down one of these chasms in the first place, but eh, she just wanted to know what's down there. Noble Reshiram would have known that she'd end up in a nautical Survival Game.
She IS somewhat scared of this horde of Frillish and Jellicent, but not that much more scared than she is about this general place they found themselves in, but she doesn't look away from them once to not give them a chance. More so, she tries to get a good look at this ominous creature that's with them, that one that's causing that scuttling and scrabbling - she'll scan it with her Almanac to see whether it's able to tell her more (given how dark it is, Shiva certainly can do so without anyone noticing about that device of hers) and she asks Primal Espeon to cast a silent Future Sight already while hiding behind her (means, so that these Frillish/Jellicent/UnownCreature don't notice).

Spira doesn't flinch at the horde of Frillish and Jellicent, and recalls his own, to prevent causing her anymore undue stress, but when faced with the source of the impenetrable darkness, his bravado starts to falter; "Uhm, what the hell is that?!" when Spira notices Terra's attempt at intimidating them he tries to follow suit/help his attempt; "Go, Toya!" a brawny ghost with Pressure should help that intimidation.

As they say, you gaze into the Abyss... the Abyss gazes into you.
Terra's Intimidation:
(2)(4)(1)(4)(2)(2) (1)(5)(1)(5)(4) (4)(4)(4) = 7 successes
Darkness' Intimidation:
(1)(5)(6)(3)(6)(2) (4)(6)(6)(3)(4)(6) (1)(6)(2)(4)(1)(4) = 10 successes
The Jellicent cluster together at head height, and glow again. You're treated to just a momentary glimpse of a gigantic maw, brimming with twisted razor-edged teeth. So many teeth, row after row, so close together, they don't all even fit. Around that maw is a jet black smile with a slight curl at the edges. It looks very solid and not ghostly at all. Of the horrid teeth and the smile, the smile is worse.
Terra flinches and won't be able to use any Trainer actions in the first round. He'll just be able to mumble out commands.
Spira's blood runs cold. Pressure doesn't seem to be working on the dark figure in the middle. Your penalty is that you'll go last in the initiative order.
On the opposite side of the glass bubble, you hear Arachnautilus flinching and falling to her knees, having tried much the same thing as Terra and Spira.
However, Pressure does work on the Frillish, and you spot half of them quietly slip away.
The room stays dark, making it harder to attack foes. The Future Sight does seem to be brewing within Primal Espeon.
Rose: (6) + 8 = 14
Espeon: (6) + 8 = 14
Pixie: (4) + 9 = 13
Whimsicott: (4) + 8 = 12
Mikey: (3) + 9 = 12
Dark Thing: (3) + 3 Dex + 5 Survival = 11
Quetzal: (2) + 8 = 10
Doublade: (1)
Gothitelle: (1) + 8 = 9
Arachnautilus: (1)
Toya
Spira
I'll edit this with @ Spiritmon 's choices.

(So are we only fighting this ominous black thing and no Frillish at all since they are not listed in the Init Order, Iron? You stated that half of them are slipping away, but what's with the other half? )
