Oh! Kee mutters and laughs to himself, understanding now what is bothering his new snowy turtle. Still casting a amused smile, he picks up a small rock, throws it into the air and catches it again a few times, then eventually tosses it against the wall of the dead end where it just bounces off - despite it looked like he put some force into this toss, it gave off the impression of a rather weak one. His expression as he does that is not puzzled, confused or embarrassed, rather pretty neutral.
"Listen, Juhani...", he calmly adresses her, "You're familiar with the concept of the Trainer's strengths and weaknesses brushing off to the Pokemon under their care? You see, the basic idea of this is that anything the Trainer's good at, the Pokemon will be good at as well and vice versa. Maybe not right away and from the start, but the longer the Pokemon is under a person's care, the more this effect's kickin' in. At least - This is what I am used to..... I, well, am somewhat puzzled that it appears to be somethin' new to you." Kee picks up another rock from the ground, and this time lets Octavia toss it against the wall - it's bouncing off the almost same way when he threw it.
"You see - I mean, look at me, do I look like someone who's featuring much physical strength?" He lets Juhani judge that, then shakes his head. "No, I don't really do so, and I know that. I've got better things to do than, say, work out or take care of my body's strength, and as a result the Pokemon I care for mirror this. I'd be lost and innocent if given a Machamp or such too, not knowing AT ALL what to do to keep its extraordinaire power. I rather...." *cue for semi-smug smile from Kee* "...take care that my Pokemon suprise the foe with their inner strength, or with sound. Or both at best, like in Core's and Aya's cases." Pausing at this point, he gets down to be around eyelevel with Juhani. "Do you understand this, does this make sense to ya?" He pauses to give the snowy turtle the time to respond, then sweeps some strands of silky hair outta his face to cover some nervosity. "Well... If this does not suit you, you'd be surely better in the hands of someonelse, like a martial artist or such. You've got a fair amount of word to add concerning whether you would LIKE to stay with me or NOT - think about it while we make our way through this temple, and let us meet up with the professor after that, 'kay?" Now Kee does pet her forehead, but only slightly and for short before backing off again and recalling Juhani. "Now then, let us leave this freakin' dead end and try another path."

Concerning that braille-message engraved on the door, musical rave-guy just stares at it foe a good while while adjusting and cleaning his rimless glasses like five time before getting that what it might mean. He would eventually notice that part in the top left corner of the door (assuming that it's not played too high to spot it more by accident than willingly), and agree with Karen that it's look suspiciously like an alphabet.
Kee's got that laptop with him - having a wifi-connection within this temple would be utopistic, but he could type the code and let a program auto-decipher the message, can he? If not or if that'd take to long, then he'll go with the classical pen-and-paper-version if nonesle is up and patient enough to take this task. He wants to progress after all, so less ranting and more working on making one's way!~
It is indeed a new concept for Juhani, and not one she entirely understands right now. She'll definitely have to give this some thought...
--------------------------------
Yeah, there's no cell reception nor wifi down here, and I highly doubt anyone present would have an app or program able to automatically translate braille handy, so the group will have to translate it by hand.

Kogeki try to think about that puzzle. "Well...while I was searching a wall, I found a group of Unow in the wall. I try to analyze one of them, but they get angry and attack me and my Pokemon. I was able to dispatch them, but they escape to another dimension. The message was: The Top Left is the Key. Whatever this mean."

Strange. That's highly strange, but okay, Kee's noting and accepts that. Is this a quirk of the Sinnoh region or such????
Not having an program or app to translate braille is true, but Kee could make one real quick. But he does not want to do in the cold interior of the temple, it's that simple. Doin' so by hand is it then!~ He mutters something like "Don't make Unown angry, Kogeki - that's a certain path leadin' to disaster and trouble, they usually don't attack unless provoked", having believed that the ninja would be smart like that. Appearantly not, fuuu. :C
Kee's adamant on advancing to the next floor, not enjoying how cold it is down here even with that nice red cloak Karen wanted him to buy. So deciphering that message would at least keep him busy in a productive sense, win-win. It took him a little, but eventually he stares at the page in his notebook with a slightly puzzled look, the turns towards the others. "Eh.... What's the name of the current era again? It says that's what the door wants to know to open."

Quote:Assuming Ran points out that the pattern in the corner he saw before and Kogeki mentions the Unown sentence (Top left is the key), Karen says "I think that pattern is the key we need to decipher the message." she twirls her bang on her finger thinking; "If that is the case, the key should be in alphabetical order."
When the group reunites, Ran is somewhat relieved to find that everyone else was in fine enough condition. Looks like he won't have to go hunting through that 'natural' maze for them....or what remained, and break the news to the rest/their close ones later. Thank Heatran for small blessings like that!
The sight of the stairs being sealed off caused him to deadpan and nearly let out a sigh of displeasure, until he noticed the braille patterning parts of it. Then he grew equal parts curious and frustrated as he realized that what seemed to be puzzle of sorts blocked the way forward, and they (he and the group) had to decode and solve it if they want to progress.
"Grah.....this investigation is getting closer and closer to resembling some of the sort of convoluted mysteries I've read, and if it's anything like them the answers to it won't be a walk in the park. Bah....."
Happily, between Kogeki, Karen, and Kee (The Triple K Triad!), they were able to translate and solve part of the mystery (Kogeki get's cuffed hard on the waist when he reveals he screwed around with Unown, though, totally agreeing with Kee's faint remarks - "Messing with a group of Unown is a fool's game, so hopefully I've knocked enough sense in ya not to do it again! Count your blessings they didn't blast your arse to kingdom come, or royal fuck you over in some other arcane way of their's....."), which from there it didn't even take a moment for him to provide an answer to the question the sour dandy translated.
" Cenozoic. If that door's asking what I think it is, the answer is Cenozoic. That's the current era of the world on the geological time scale."

"Understood. I was trying to find a answer, but mess with Unow might not be my most bright idea. I already lost a arm, no reason to lost another thing."
"Hmm..." Kogeki put his wood arm in his chin. "What we can do to unlock the door..." He also decided to let Ralts get out of the Pokeball for a bit since he was there for a while. "I don't read Braille, so any idea how we unlock that door?"

Not the exact answer I was looking for, but it is technically correct!
*click*
The door unlocks and swings open of it's own accord as soon as Randolph says the name of the era.
I'll assume you're proceeding to the next floor in the same marching order you were in previously.

Yes. Gama still invisible to surprised possible foes, and Nagi outside to pay pranks with priority moves! Oh, and Ralts was in Kogeki shoulder because the smol Pokemon need to get used to adventure. Any reaction of the timid Ralts with this place?

(Huh! Well, thank you for the lee way with the answer, mate! Out of curiosity, what was the real solution, if you don't mind sharing?)
Ran blinks as as the way forward unbarred itself soon after he gives his answers, clearly surprised it was spot on (More or less).
"Huh....so I was right. Didn't think it be that simple, but guess it's a good thing it was."
In other words, nice! Onwards to B2!
Yeah, Ran would follow the same marching orders as last time, so no worries there!

Ralts is nervously looking around. Being an ultra sensitive Psychic type, she can definitely feel things that most other pokemon in the group can't. She almost jumps in surprise when the door to the next floor opens on its own. She's practically glued to Kogeki's side out of nervous trepidation.

Floor B2
The second basement floor is littered with even more rocks of varying kinds. Ice still coats certain parts of the floor, and frost is also covering the rocks themselves. It's even colder on this floor than the previous one. Almost unnaturally so, in fact...it's like standing in a refrigerator.
Three pillars stand in the middle of the room, holding up the ceiling.
Once again, the group will have to navigate the maze of (this time frozen) rocks individually, each taking an encounter from the ones listed. The image is once more merely a simple reference instead of a perfect depiction. The difficulty for all of them is once again ?, and the cap on all of them is 1.
1. Three Pillars
The three pillars stand tall in the middle of this floor's maze. Someone will have to pass by them before continuing on their way.
2. Mysterious Howling
A howling noise of some kind can be heard from an area near the stairs. Is it the wind that Ace trainer was talking about, or something else?
3. Dead End
Someone's unlucky enough to come across another dead end in the maze. Or is it fortunate instead? Only one way to find out...oh, and there's a patch of ice on the ground on this path as well.
4. Scrabbling Noises
The sounds of smaller creatures moving around can be heard among some the rocks.
