The Snover nods.

So, what now?  Are Karen, Kee, and Kogeki moving on to another tile without Randolph?  Waiting for him?  Going to look for him?

And what's Randolph doing now that he's cleaned out the trapped treasure room?

Ran's waiting by the Stairs/Entrance to B4, as he doesn't want to interact with the Snovers without (A. The whole group with him, and/or B) Mowing them down. He's not interested in interacting peacefully with them, nor benefiting off the luck (in his eyes) of Kee/Karen and indirectly condone their plan, and since that Treasure Room was a dead end, there's nowhere else for him to go but back to square one. He has Brigid and Diam now, with the later using her Ghost senses to keep an eye on any particularly strange things, and Orders to Cover her partner with Detect if necessary, while Brigid has Orders to Fire Spin/Heat Wave anything(s) that tries to mess with them.

Karen continues heading to the sunset glow.

Well, Kee's got one final question towards these Snover: "That Abomasnow... What kind ot relationship do you share with them, are they a leader, an ally, a threat, a troublemaker that you'd like to have someone dealing with or whatever to you? Oh, nonono, don't answer specifically, just lemme know of the vibes b'tween you - good or bad? A 'yes' is good, a 'no' bad." That's more of an optimal question as it infuences whether he'll have any feelings of 'Sorry for having done that, Snover group' for fighting that even larger snowy monster or not.

Once they've answered that, he'll follow Karen, just as ready for a fierce battle outbreaking and with Yurei perching on his hand because she's the top candidate for that fight. He also throws a glance over his shoulder, but no Randolph in sight - eh, he'll surely get along himself, but maybe she shouldn't have hissed at him like that - speak about triggering his bad temper.

(Oh right, Mika... Does Karen actually react in a way to that promise for a favour Kee gave her here? She doesn't have to, he would just like to know whether she accepts that or, like, sweeps the feather out of her hair and slaps him with it because it's creepy. Just in case it's been missed due to thunderstorm yesterday or similar!)

Yes to all of the above questions.  The Snover definitely seem to be a little conflicted.

Before Karen and Kee continue, Kogeki speaks up (as Spirit asked me to auto Kogeki). "I'm going to go find Ran.  You two go on ahead.  We'll catch up in a bit."

The next room is a downward sloping corridor coated in snow with patches of ice.  As Karen and Kee travel down it, the wind gets louder, the snowstorm fiercer.  The howling wind is starting to make it difficult to hear anything.

It's difficult to tell exactly, but the corridor seems to lead outdoors.  It would certainly explain where the blizzard is coming from, at any rate.

That orange, sunset like light is also originating from the end of the corridor, the light bouncing off of the white ice and snow and making the whole corridor the color of dusk.

And upon leaving the corridor, it becomes clear why that light is there, as Karen and Kee suddenly find themselves outside, in the middle of a raging, howling blizzard, barely able to see or hear.  They can just barely make out the shapes of a small cabin nearby and some kind of large building farther away, and tall cliffs covered in snow surround the small area.  The sun is also setting, casting an orange, dusk colored glow on the otherwise white landscape.

The door to the cabin opens, and light spills out of it, illuminating the nearby area.  A shadowy, hunched figure can be seen in the bright light, and a masculine, elderly voice calls out, somehow able to be heard clearly despite the howling wind masking all other sound.

"Ho there, travelers!  This is no time to be outdoors! Come in, come in!  A warm fire should do you some good!"

(meant to get this up yesterday, but was a little distracted by other things [besides the storm])
*slight flashback*
When Kee puts the feather behind her ear, Karen brushes at it with her left hand, grabbing it, and at Kee's explanation, she tells him, "Thanks, I'll keep that favor in mind." and puts the feather in her pants pocket.

*present*
"So, just two of us huh?" Karen is readying Magneton and Nidorina for the upcoming battle. "I'm ready when you are Kee, let's go topple a snowman."
--
o_O? Well that's unexpected. "Don't mind if we do come in." Karen is the first to practically bolt into the cabin. She don't wanna spend any more time in this blizzard than necessary.

Before Randolph makes it to the stairs, he runs into Kogeki in the branching hallways.  "Ran!  The way forward is clear now.  You doing okay?  We need to continue the investigation."
