[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

"*Huffs* I did warn ya that I was going to try catching them, so I don't see why you're complaining now. 'Sides, I think its a bad idea letting them run loose, after all the trouble they brewed up. *Shrugs* If ya want them freed to lead them Snovers, though, I'm willing to negotiate for it. I ain't a unreasonable bastard - just a plain o' old one. If they cause ya winter weather problems again, however, then you can't say I didn't tell ya so."

"Personally, I don't have anything to offer in exchange.  I'm not a pokemon trainer, after all, and have little need for most of the tools that your society uses.  Maybe some of the Snover would be willing to join you, though. They'd certainly be a lot less unruly."

"...I certainly hope the Abomasnow don't cause any more problems in the future.  Did you see anything that might have indicated why they were causing that snowstorm in the first place?  I usually only ever see one of them creating such weather with that power of theirs, and usually only for short periods of time.  I never imagined that they were capable of a feat such as this."

Ran then turns his attention to the Snover spying on him/the others, and beckons them over, simply saying to them : "Come on over here if ya your leader back. Willing to release him to your group, if we all can come to an agreement about it." He was content to ignore them like 'Gene', but now that they brought up that possible opportunity.....

Why.....*Looks thoughtful* .....not entirely sure, but I'd say they were acting like unruly beasts because they were possessed. Like, I could see their intelligence during our fight, but it looked like it was being suppressed by their power....or something else."

Oh yes, and since I haven't addressed it yet, if Kogeki lets Gene check on the female Abomasnow, the old man pours some of his warm stew down the pokemon's throat, which heals all damage the giant pokemon has sustained.  However, they remain unconscious for the time being.

When Randolph beckons the Snover spying on them over, they definitely look wary and uncertain about taking such action, and hesitate.  Gene beckons the snowy pokemon over with a hand gesture as well, though, and that seems to help inspire a little more confidence in the pokemon.

The Snover then in turn waves an arm in a 'come on!' type of gesture, and a total of 8 somewhat larger than usual Snover make their way over to the group.  It's the same group of Snover from Floor B4!  The one that's acting as 'leader' is standing in front of the other 7, and eyeing everyone warily.  The remaining 7 Snover are rustling their leaves/pine needles as they quietly and nervously converse with each other.

Yup, they're definitely still just as loud as before, mostly thanks to their numbers.

The 'leader' Snover then turns to Gene (who leans down and over his cane so he can hear the Snover better) and appears to converse with him.  Gene then turns to the group and interprets, since he can (apparently) understand what they're saying in some capacity (whether that's a surprise to your characters is up to you guys).

"The Snover wish to know what will happen to their leaders, for starters, and if they're okay.  They've been quite concerned about the Abomasnow ever since that snowstorm started."

Kogeki does give the female Abomasnow to Gene take care of her wounds.

But it's the most probable explanation I have that explains their recent behavior based on what I've seen, if they weren't always acting like some demons from a hell frozen over. *Nods* Yes, both were. Stranger still, only one of them were holding a Abomanite. Don't know how the other one Mega Evolved, but they sure as me hammer managed to!"

Ran's totally unphazed by 'Gene's' translation Skills, partially because they'd been mentioning/alluding to the fact of such beforehand (When they were talking about the Unown Kogeki meet and referring to them as his friend), and partially because they're an old mysterious man that look after an ancient local. He'd be more surprised if they didn't have some unusual and/or freaky talents/power.

In any case, the midget man's answer to the pico pines was just like himself: short, simple, and straight to the point.

"The Abomasnows - your leaders - are fine. Knocked out like a Starly's nest blow off a tree and Paralyzed, and the Male one was Confused when they Fainted, but okay besides that. Was planning on keeping one of your leaders as partner, but I'd be willing to give them back to ya lot if one of you join up with me in their place, and cooperate with me for the most part. If ya do, I promise you the same thing I end up promising to all my partners: I'll keep ya safe, well feed and taken care of, and give ya plenty of opportunities to grow stronger and put ya powers and Skills to good use. How does that grab ya?"

"*Frowns* I can only speak and act on me behalf, so I can't say if my partner will release the your other leader or not. You'll have to ask him about that, I'm afraid."

 *Looks meaningfully at Kogeki, giving him a raised eyebrow, before looking back at the Snover*

"As for other terms *Strokes beard*.....if you have any Berries or useful nick knacks - Items - you've collected, I'd like to have a them and see if they're any I'd be interested in. Oh, and is the exist to that maze we were in still exist? Want to poke around there a bit more, to see if I could find anything else hiding in there, if I can."

(...)Gene walks up with Octavia shortly after the Abomasnow have been captured.
"Well, the blizzard's gone, and you're all fine, so I suppose that means you've defeated the Abomasnow, yes?  Where are they, though?"
He looks at Kee to ask him a question as well.  "And why was your Sylveon so insistent that I go to the kitchen and get some food?"(...)

(...)"*Nods* Yup. Gone with the wind, the Abomasnow and the blizzards they brought are. As for where they are now, I caught one and sent it to my PC, and the other....well, that's why Kee's Slyveon came to fetch ya and some of your grub. Female Abomasnow ended up taking a hellsih amount of Lethal burns from my Brigid's INFERNO, and they need to be Stabilized and patched up pronto 'fore their condition worsens. Think ya can help us with that, sir?"(...)

(I don't like it if something that's definitely adressed to a particular chara is answered/dealt with by another one, but that may be just me because I'm sensitive towards such things. For the sake of Game Pace it may be okay, I assume that Kee manages to speak before Randolph does though.)


The unmistakable yelp of his closest Pokemon causes the poisonous musician to turn around in an instant, just in time to adjust his stance so that Octavia can comfortable leap onto his shoulders because his arms are still occupied with smol fox cub. She gives off a delighted smile and appreciates any pets and nuzzles Kee's giving her. What she also does is waving her ribbons discretly upon noticing in what an emotional mess he is, accomanied by giving him a sad chirp. 'Were you triggered that badly by that fight? Oh my.... ( ._.)' She licks over his cheek.

Towards Gene, Kee manages to respong normally aka not in a frantic hasted manner. "Defeated them, made it. It...wasn't easy, but all's okay - That is, APART from the female exemplar of 'em was almost burnt to a crisp due to a nasty Fire Attack. Me and Karen -" He waves to her, "- managed to cure burns or toxins pestering her, and, well, capturing to send her to the local Pokemon Center sounded like the better way to treat that lethal damage b'fore I'll do that my meds. Professional help, you see.... She's one half of the leader pair for the Snover, so she CAN'T just die off. Not...as long as I can prevent that." He's obvisously somewhat hesitant about admitting that, but just as convinced in between the lines. Though, in a louder voice he adds "That would not have been necessary if SOMEONE would have abstained from going lethal IN THE FIRST PLACE out of anger. Honestly, Ran. (҂ `з´ ) But..." He continues in a calmer, almost rueful voice "...maybe you missed what these Abomasnow mean to the clan of Snover, likely because I chased you away. Sorry for that, didn't really...mean to, but you should know that not fighting 'n fainting everythin' that comes your way has saved me several time before, especially in the wilds of Akala." Hmpf.

Back to Gene. "My emergency Heal Balls are too weak to contain such a huge Pokemon comfortably. But, yes, I'd have set them free upon they're up and about again if you're fine with that, 'cuz, ya know, these blizzards they summon are MIGHTY. Channeling out any sound and voice."

"I can release your other Leader with no problems. But I want something in exchange like my friend here said. Berries, valuable items like Hold Ones. Or maybe, let's see...is any of you guys have see a Mega Stone around this temple? One for Dramsama, Heracross, Tyranitar or even Gardevoir?" Kogeki still remember saying to Nami the possibility in find a Mega Stone to her, and that could be a great way to bond with her.

Appearantly Kee's the only one who'd release one of these Abomasnow Leader after full healing without expecting anything back, and Octavia discretly delivers that message to the clan of Snover: 'Because, knowing that you're well and together again is satisfaction enough for him.'


EDIT: Oh right, I'll invest a portion of the gained XP from that fight into 2 points in Empathy Speciality for him, because a Sylveon as a main partner encourages being in tune with emotions, Kee's just used to hold them inside/lets her sort them. That, and he empathizes with the clan of Snover.
