After smiting the Numel, Spira returns to camp and flops down and pulls back out the knife and wipes the blade off before sticking it in a pocket. Unlike the others (probably excluding Heart), Spira doesn't go looking for Terra, as he has his own thoughts to worry about, mainly, if things are this difficult now, just how much further can the group press on before they are overthrown by these enemies. "*Sigh* If only... if only I had the power necessary to prevent this in the first place." he flips his right arm, so his palm is up and slides his sleeve down, " I really can't help but think about all the grief this cursed mark has caused me. If only this felt like it was more than a glorified tattoo."

3 Happy, 3 Loyal, 1 Disobedience. It has its three ? moves.
Dratini slips from the egg into the clear portion of the underground lake. This would be a great habitat for it, except for the aggressive Pokemon everywhere. But from an evolutionary standpoint, this is a great spot!
Did I remember to give you the Poison Barb from Tentacruel? I think not. That can be a thing Arete found.

As Spira gazes at the tattoo, he's filled with an incredible desire to rise to the top, to prove his failures no longer define him. And to mow down anyone who stands in his way! If you could see his gaze, you would have described it as "intriguing."

(Tattoo was a figure of speech, it's a birthmark, Spira was comparing it to a tattoo.)
"What am I doing getting bummed out like this, we've got a region to save." While he still has some doubts, they aren't as prevalent now.

No, not right now. Maybe later, though.

Sneasel is impatient. "Look at you humans with your, you're just always fighting, you know? Just doing what the Eye encouraged you to, how She wanted it to be like. Maybe if you were big like me you could push right past these, well, maybe you're just not big enough to be direct. We're about to enter the domain of some, well, past here there'll be even bigger Pokemon. Maybe not quite so aggressive, though, you know. More civilized, in their own, if you see what I mean, you'll see they have their own thoughts of... the way they do things is their own, you know. It's this way."
He leads you to a nexus where a couple dozen other tunnels meet. In this wide space is a field of moss, and browsing the moss are many Nidoran. They are all taller than a human, and engaged in a variety of activities besides eating. Some are digging warren at high speed. Some are caring for youngsters. Many are battling, ramming their sharp horns into each other for dominance.
At the center of the warren, past all the Nidoran, is a big boulder traced with silver. Stabbed into it: the Sword, fiery and dark, with a clawed Keenglaive hand still grasping the blade to make up the hilt.
Sneasel: "Well, you're on your own now. I, well, let's just say I made a bit of a, I don't go into the Nidoran city anymore. I'll wait here and when you get the Sword and the other thing you can come back, if you live you can swing by and talk to, well, I'll have more things for sale, I hope."

Terra doesn't dispute the big black panther's claims of his race, just closing his eyes and nodding to them with calm acceptance.
"We do. It is....the way of our life. Fight to become stronger, better. Fight to prove worth, to others or ourselves. Fight for thrill and fun. Fight when we must. That is we do. Nothing wrong or right about it. For humans....*Opens eyes, and looks at Sneasil* and Pokemon."
Saying his peace, the sagely monk quietly nods along to the rest of their information and lets them lead him/the group to the so called 'Nidoran City,' the sight of which leaves him taking it all in with open curiosity and fascination. He's seen several Wild Pokemon societies before in his explorations back at home, but never one quite like this or on this sort of scale.
The Sword, once he spots it, draws his attention like a Magnet, taking in every single detail of it unique design with a keen and not quite stoic eye. Viewing it like he did, it almost seemed to him, as if it was calling for someone to claim it. To wield it against countless foes, and to quench its thirst for battle after so many long years of disuse. Who would be the one...?
So wrapped up in pondering the Artifact blade he almost missed the colossal kitty cat bid farewell and good luck, turning towards them and giving a small bow and a smile
"Very well. We'll be back and come see you, but until then, be well and safe, Mr. Merchant Cat."
After they leave, the mountain of a man turns to Nathan + Gallade and motions towards the city of sorts, somehow looking both serious and inquisitive.
" Going to explore city, and try to find out more about The Sword and......prophecy before one of us....tries to go get it. See if.....inhabitants are friendly too, and......what they and place has. *Beat* .....Can you come with me, Nathan and Gallade? Would do it alone, but *Looks over themselves, and Frowns* .....not sure that good idea now. Don't want to break promise with you. Well?"
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Concerning Dratini hatching:
Nathan can't help but chuckle at how eager the little one is to find a home. "Well now, I suppose this would be a good spot to grow quickly, wouldn't it? Don't think this would be very good in the long term, though, particularly for one so young. Come along, little one. We'll find a good home for you, together, and we'll make sure you grow big and strong enough to take care of yourself along the way."
For the time being, Nathan does not register the newly hatched (male) Dratini to a pokeball, instead opting to let the serpentine dragon curl around his arm for transport purposes. Even though the young dragon has only just hatched, it's quite clear that Nathan has a rock solid bond with and command of this pokemon (4 Loyalty after that ancestry bonus, yo). Nathan will think of a nickname for them later.
Back to the present:
"...it is regrettable, but yes, human history is filled with conflict. Even if the Eye's influence were to disappear, though, I do not think much would would change. Not all battles are bad, and some are even necessary. History is often written by the winners, however...but regardless, I wish to make a positive impact if I am to leave my own mark on the history books."
And that is Nathan's take on the topic of human conflict.
----------------------------------------------------
Nathan's watching the Nidoran carefully. Hmmmm...how are they going to react to a Psychic type walking into their colony? Maybe not very favorably...though it isn't Gallade that Nathan's worried about. It's moreso his dad, who's still part Kadabra...of course, the Nidoran would have to get through all 5 of Marco's pokemon first if they were to turn hostile, but...well, Nidoran are the kind of pokemon that would probably multiply like rabbit pokemon in the right conditions...
As for the sword...Nathan's eyeing it up himself, though for a different set of reasons than Terra. A sword fit only for a king to wield, in a time where there are no more kings...who would be considered worthy among them, if anyone? Someone has to be...because if nobody is...
Nathan shakes his head, derailing that train of thought. No, someone HAS to be. That weird feeling he had when looking at that bust in Atheneum...it had to mean something...
...and he's pretty sure that the bust is going to end up looking like whoever pulls that sword free from its current resting place.
Terra's idea to explore around and request then derails that train of thought. Nathan is at least quick to respond, though. "...after what you pulled earlier, Terra, there is no way Gallade and I want you walking around unattended down here. Never know when trouble is gonna strike. So yeah, we're coming with you, no question."
