[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(08-03-2019, 07:32 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: The negotiations ARE working, even if it is a little slow. Have a little patience before jumping to a last resort, please. This is a VERY important matter, yes, but so is the matter of a player being removed from the game entirely.

I would prefer not waiting and gambling/spending the group's time trying to resolve negotiations when there's an option right here to end things, if it's all the same to you mate.

@Iron, question : Can I force my decision to sacrifice Terra to become a servant/protector/improver to Nidoking, in order for him to relinquish The Sword to Nathan, in such a way that would prevent my fellow players from trying to stonewall my decision any longer, OOC and IC? As I said, I'm willing to do it, and since I'm still talking about it after all this time, my resolve for the option hasn't wavered in the slightest, and I rather not get sidelined and stalled by any arguments against my decision anymore.

At least give us this last chance Windos. If we don't succeed now, we not gonna try to stall in your decision.

*Sighs* ......Very well. One last chance, before I go ahead with my choice. I owe that much to you, buddy.

And there we go. Done deal, apparently. We all spend our third encounter helping the Nidorino gain exp to help them learn Horn Drill, teach them ROCK SMASH, and trade the following items:
- Metal Cleanse Tag
- Poison Barb
- Soft Sand
- Everlink Armor
- Miracle Rod
- maybe the obsidian dagger?

And boom. Sword obtained, AND we have a safe place to rest for the night. Awesome. See, nothing to worry about, Windos.

Whoosh. Thanks Arceus we made it. I had to sacrifice a Poison Barb, the Everlink Armor and the Miracle Rood, but it is worth without sacrifice a friend. I a knucklehead when anything is related to friendship.

...Spirit, that's not something Nathan can help Heart with during the course of the campaign...and there's no need for Heart to say anything IC, you know. Nathan's not going to forget the favor that's been done. Nathan's already grateful. There's no need to be demanding.

.....Well, you both managed to do it after all. At a great material cost (Mostly for Heart, and not a lot from everyone else) and a decent chunk of time to get at The Sword, but none the less you got it. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Still, I find the outcome somewhat wanting on some level, but that's just my feelings on the matter. The group gets The Sword, and that's what matters in the end.

Not going to directly comment this Thread, but I'd say Terra would actually support Cosh's more militant to an extent, in so far as he doesn't think their idea is entirely bad and without merit. The group is giving up a lot of resources, and beating the Nidoking while him wielding The Sword would serve as another good challenge for the group that would prepare them against Deoxys. Heck, if Cosh could pull off a Fissure on them ASAP while The Sword was out (With/without help from Raphael), then it'd be a done deal. He'd point this out quietly, and then suggest that instead of trying to directly usurp them, they COULD just challenge him for the Sword instead with Cosh facing against them, giving him a Helping Hand and After You buff to ensure Fissure does the job right (bar Plot Device shenanigans).

Of course, he'd say this was only a suggestion, and himself state that he doesn't mind which path the group takes to deal with the Nidos, so long as it gets the group The Sword and everyone ultimately comes out alright.

The less fighting we do while we don't have access to easy healing, the better imo. Nathan's stance on fighting Nidoking isn't changing, particularly since he's the one who lead the negotiations. He's not going back on his word. That'd be underhanded and unjustified and completely OOC for him.

...Spirit, Sid isn't even in Creshire any more, and won't be returning for a long time. Even if we DO eventually meet him again, it won't be during the campaign. It's an unreasonable demand if you're expecting to get something out of it during the game. That's just not going to happen, and I can't do anything about it.

Would it kill ya to be a little more gracious yourself right now? This isn't the time for this. Nathan will pay Heart back for this eventually somehow. You don't have to immediately push the point IC and threaten to break ongoing, originally charitable services OOC.

I didn't ask you to give up two super valuable hold items, and I paid a hefty amount of exp for the right to wield the Sword. I appreciate the help all the same, but please don't point fingers and say this is my fault.
