Wielding Doublade still allows him to Rock Smash or anything, but changes to the Pokemon don't affect Heart. If you want a sort of "shared spells" thing that would cost more XP. But it's a good idea.

How much XP it would cost in total? The bonus of defense and attack, the fire damage effects and the shared spells? Could you tell me a total cost so I could use as a reference?

@Iron, I made a decision. Here my list of surprise I had in mind for Doublade:

- A bonus of +2 Damage and +2 Defense when wielding. Since Heart will targets for attacks, a extra buff could do wonders.

- Shared Spells. This could help Heart shared the buffs with Doublade, and use moves with more efficient like Iron Defense or Automatize and make a huge difference in certain battles.

- Burning power. This fits Heart fire lineage. My idea is every physical attack of Doublade could cause extra fire damage, like Shadow Sneak. He would still have moves with their types, but it could cause extra fire damage. Or at least these attacks could cause burn effect, and hitting targets who already is burning could cause extra damage.

- This last part is more like questions: With your permission, could Doublade learn either Shadow Ball or Shadow Claw? Because the only STAB ghost move of his is Shadow Sneak, and it's not exactly the powerful ghost type move.

- Another question is if Doublade could also learn Rock Slide or Brutal Swing? The problem with Doublade is his lack of Spread Moves, and Rock Slide could do wonders as counter against Fire types. But again, with you permission.

- Unfortunately none of these moves is in his ??? Moves and that's why I asking permission.

Shadow Ball/Claw aren't too hard to figure out costs for. Just find the level a Pokemon typically learns those moves and add 10-20 XP - I think +12XP suits the bill in this case. So Shadow Ball will cost you 42XP and Shadow Claw is a little higher.

I don't do Gen VII moves, and I don't think Rock Slide fits with Doublade at all. I think not having spread moves is just a common feature of Ghost types.

You didn't remind me on that Worry Seed Tutoring either, and right now we're too entagled in the plot to squeeze in tutoring. ^^; It's not forgotten per se, Shiva just had more pressing issues to deal with.

I guess I said it at some point, but I actually don't mind if another character picks up tutoring, Shiva would feel flattred if she's able to inspire people. 2 points in customized Move Tutoring Speciality on other charas are some sort of a personal limit though as I still want her to be and stay the expert in that field, before XP on a 3rd point is given I'd like to be asked and talked to to prevent a not-so-pleasant suprise. Call me paranoid or limiting if you like, but I made experiences that I implemend something new, people stole it then outdo me; all without credit, so that's something I really like to avoid...

EDIT: Tutoring is also more of a sentimental thing for Shiva, as she was searching for something she could excel at that does not involve fighting. The competitive aspect is secondary, while I feel for you others it is the main reason for tutoring.(?)
